Emily's had a large volume of books, as advertised. Categories were fairly well defined (very defined for historical topics!) with a few authors being placed in both sci-fi/fantasy AND general fiction. Prices were consistently written in the back cover or books were near clear signage. Paperback general fiction was exceptionally well priced. We happened to come through on a 30% off sale day, so we got an even better bargain! We're from the Twin Cities, but we may have to find an excuse to venture back this way!

This place is a magical wonderland of well organized books from floor to ceiling. It's so big, you could really get lost in there. Thankfully, there are signs directing the way! Prices are very reasonable and the selection is out of this world. My only wish is that I lived closer to it so I could visit more often! If you are going up north to the lake, you must stop here!

My family of 4 frequently visit used bookstores and Emily's is wonderful. It's very well organized, clean, bright, and cool. We found so many great books in excellent condition and many with those clear plastic dust jacket protectors. We just moved to MN after being in New York City for 5 years. The world famous Strand bookstore in the East Village is our happy place and Emily's (though much smaller) reminded us a little of Strand. Thank you! We will be returning on subsequent trips up North!

This is the greatest used book store I've found in Minnesota. The front of the shop appears to be a small location. BUT, once inside you find it goes on and on, room after room. Bring your book list and spend many delightful hours searching for your favorite author and finding new authors to read. Along with the usual reading material they have a great area devoted to military history. Everything is in alphabetical order by author and best of all the price is right. No matter what genre you read, you will find it in this great shop. Don't miss it when you are in the area - or remember it's worth a trip to the Brainerd lakes area.
