Reviews of The Turning Page
It was my first time at The Turning Page and definitely not my last. I had a great experience, the employee was very friendly & helpful!! They even have the cutest, loving shop cat with the most beautiful green eyes!! Such a sweetheart!! <3 Gave some great options on his favorites for me as well to help me get a good idea of popular comics(one of his favorites, a comic called 'Saga'! Even gifted me with some Saga stickers & pins!!) :) Walked out with a well bought selection of comics, 2 funko pops, & a mewtwo enamel pin :) Thank you so much again! Can't wait to stop back in soon<3
Great comic shop! Lots of trades and had a well stocked selection of back issues. Don’t see a ton of nice X-men books now a days and The Turn Page had plenty.
Great store. Really friendly staff. Awesome store cat.
Very friendly people and a super cool store! Had a good variety of things like comics, manga, video games, trading cards, baseball cards, and even some bobble heads. Also they have a store cat who is awesome.
I had a great time and found 3 items I have always wanted. A grogu Figpin, an 80's hot wheel, and Burnout Paradise.
Very friendly. Cool little shop. Had some really neat figurines & decent prices too!! Grabbed a couple comics I can't usually find elswhere. The kitty is ADORABLE too. Always love it when stores have cute companions.
Great selections . Great prices. Recommend !
It's a good old fashioned comic book store, which I find incredibly charming. They opened 5 min late and a very friendly grey cast came to immediately greet us (and there was a sign on the door to make sure you didn't accidentally let him out). They had all the new titles on one wall, good selection, and extensive back catalogs. The kids I had with me were thrilled with their $10 mystery boxes, where you get a whole pile of comics featuring a particular character or group but don't know what's in it until you buy it. We'll be back!
Stopped in with my daughter, who loves comic books, and picked up some treasures. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I think they may have been doing inventory so they were a little bit distracted, but still assisted my daughter as she mulled over her choices.
I came looking for items other then comics and wasn't disappointed. Huge selection of video games - nes, snes, genesis,Xbox, Playstation and related consoles. If you shop east side Milwaukee often it's felt like retro game market dried up after covid, especially at Mega Media nearby. This is where everything went. Big bins of misc accessories and controllers under tables to dig through. Plus all the regular comic shop staples like pre-orders, back issues, graphic novels, movies, toys. Staff was friendly and it felt like the type of place you could hang out and chat at. Cool cat guards the store too.
Nice comic shop for new single issues, but not bound collections. They have an array of very uncategorized vinyls, but if you have time to hunt through history its worth checking out. They have antiques like old bar and beer signs but they are pretty steep in price.
Great selection of new and old alike. Great guys to talk to about comics or games - knowledgeable about the comics. Very comfortable shop. Wide array of things to be found here. They will keep an out out if youre looking for something specific/special.
Nice cozy comic book shop; collectibles, DVDs, games of all consoles, pre-owned consoles, and even really old board games sold here!! Say hello to Cooper the sweet shop cat, and give him some gentle love! Store is willing to order any books that are not typically ordered; a very interesting selection from other shops.
The store has an excellent selection of classic, older back issues and odd collectibles. Also a friendly staff and a solid selection of new comics. However, if you get the store a week or two late they can run out of popular issues. The store is in a very convenient and accessible location!
Accommodating, helpful, friendly and professional. Assisted me in picking out age and content/interest appropriate gifts. Thank you, I will return and support this business.
They have a good selection of back issues. They also sell retro toys and video games.
The guy that works is nice and he seems chill.
Really neat hole in the wall comic shop with a decent selection of current releases, trades, and a huge amount of back issue long boxes. You'll find loads of statues, figures, toys and antiques that you thought you had forgotten or had no idea existed. Nabbed a trade paperback I'd been meaning to get for a while and went on an excellent nostalgia trip in the antiques/ resale area of the store. You're likely to find something that grabs your attention and want to take home with you.
When I used to live in the east side I was a regular customer at The Turning Page. Definitely my favorite comic book store in Milwaukee!
I like the fact that there is a new spot that I can go to and look for books. They usually have some stuff the other stores don’t BUT,
the last time i went was during a half off sale in the summer with a buddy of mine. I spent about 2 hours digging through boxes that are just around the corner from the register. On at least 3 different occasions each one of the employees came out to “look” at what I was doing. I felt like they were keeping an eye on me. Why do I think this? Because not ONCE did anybody say anything to me and when we made eye contact they would simply walk away.
I understand that people want to protect their store so I suggest to either invest in a camera system or don’t make it so obvious that you’re trying to keep an eye on said person.
Regardless, I’ll revisit if I am ever in the area.
They have an awesome collection of old and new comics, some of them are super rare and can be seen behind the counter! They also have a really good videogame collection both old and new ☺️👍 …
Solid shop, just not the right weekend for what I was looking for. The owner knew what he had, where he had it, and was engaging during our visit. Having a super friendly cat on hand is a plus.
Love the cat! Very affordable and a good selection of new comics and graphic novels!
Very nice store, great selection of new and backstock comics. Also has some records, video games and other stuff. Only downside would be a smaller indie selection.
Great selection and amazing customer service. I've never left without a comic in my hand and never felt like I was overpaying. Definitely worth a visit.
All sorts of neat stuff to browse, comics and collectibles. Staff is welcoming and treats you like a friend. Super Cooper sometimes helps you shop.
THERE WAS A CAT!! Lol this was my first time here it was a cool place I bought a Grease dancing game for Wii there were some cool posters in there too and they were nice enough to let me hang up a poster for a video game tournament happening
Best comic shop in the milwaukee area....HANDS DOWN! These guys are great! Tons of back issues, and tons of high end key books for sale!
Awesome store in a cool part of the city!! Great selection on back issues and current comic books. I love flipping through the old books!!
Dustin is the best ever. I worked with him at his previous job. He is super hardworking and willing to make anything possible for the customer.
#Dustinisthebest.
Great little shop with lots to offer. Great selection of newer and old games
Best place to get comics on the east side and they have a cat what else could you ask for
Awesome shop, really helpful in ordering in some things I wanted - also, they have a great cat.
Love every item in the store!! Just make sure you walk in with some cash on hand because you never know what you may find
My favorite comic place. These guys are the most helpful guides no matter if you are looking for something specific or are looking to start.
A lot of great comic and collectible selections. And they have Cooper.
Always a good spot to grab new or older comics

Good service good selection.
One of my fav places
Absolute A+++!
Amazing selection.
Cooper!
Very pleasant staff
Love that this place is still alive! The store has a bunch of superhero comics and a small local comics selection. Their main draw if you're living on the East Side is that they have Pokémon cards and lots of random toys along with new weekly comics issues.
They have a small manga section in 2023 BUT they've updated to include newer popular releases like the latest big shonen manga hits like My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan & Chainsaw Man. I really enjoy looking through the vintage floppy manga selection that they have in the long boxes.
If you live nearby and want a safe place to order your comics and manga from, they accept preorders through the Previews catalog system, which is also available online.
I love that there's a friendly cute store cat walking around. The overall selection for comics is good, but it could always be better. Staff were always friendly when I walked inside.
