This is a really cute store. It has all kinds of books celebrating different traditions, like Juneteenth, and also has a story about Black Jesus. We purchased the Bookworm Goes to the Bucks game and the Juneteenth story. The books have great illustrations. There are also activity books like Sight Words for kids. It’s a great business and I am happy to support it.

Darick's Books was recommended by a friend of mine. The energy and vibe inside the shop is amazing! I bought "Smart Mouth" a great coming of age book which my young daughter really enjoyed and learned from.

Great time at Darick Books! Great selection of his own books on every topic of interest. If he doesn't have it, he'll write it for you! He also sells music. Much success to you.

First of all, Mr. Darick Spears is a true difference-maker and he is doing so through ALL of his creative works. It's been a long time since I've sat with a book and finished it in one sitting. Well, that changed when I sat down with one of Darick's books. His content will capture your attention and have you flipping pages with anticipation for the next word, phrase, paragraph, story, etc. I'm so glad that my Mom suggested his book "And You Call Yourself a Christian" because it introduced me America's Most Creative Writer!

Darick Books is such a cool and unique place. Darick is a self published author and this book store houses all of his original works as well as displays his incredible music accomplishments, and documentaries. If you're looking to learn about how to express yourself as an artist, stopping into Darick's books is a great place to start. Darick is a wealth of knowledge and you'll be sure to find a book that fits your favorite genre. Everything from children's books to romance novels and even journal prompts or tips for owning businesses.

What a unique bookstore! I’ve never been to a bookstore where every book was written by the owner. Mr. Spears was very welcoming and enthusiastic about his art. He also does music. He can tell you about any of his books and he also carries other merchandise. His unique take on his life experiences and current events is eye-opening and will leave you curious to find out more.

Darick Books is an exceptional bookstore providing various reading materials and topics. Darick, who authored all the books in his store, writes from his heart on various perspectives dealing from life challenges and experiences.
After reading his books, your mind and comfort zone will be tested as he will get up in your ‘kitchen’ making you think which is the key to learning.

I purchased a book called Jealousy by Darick Spears on his website, which was a quick read about the ways in which jealousy plays a part in the human experience. The text is relevant now and forever as the book serves to remind us how we can live positively without the influence of that destructive emotion.
The reason for 4/5 stars is that the illustrations don't follow a cohesive visual identity and they lack support for some strong messages within the book. Essentially, the writing is insightful, although visual aid could be more customized to fit the narrative.
Darick is a talented writer nonetheless and has the potential to reach a global audience with his thought-provoking messages.
