They have their stock on the main floor, which is nice, don't get me wrong. If you are ever there when the owner is in, ask if you can go to the basement for the real inventory. Oh dear lord, is it impressive! Floor to ceiling long boxes and nearly anything you can imagine. If they don't have it, they know right away, so as to not lead you on. The attached pics don't do it justice. Great store!

I personally don’t know much or anything about comic books. My son asked for a specific book/comic book and I had no idea what he wanted. I went in there and all I had to do was give them a little bit of information and they were able to help me right away. The book was not available at that store, but he immediately called the other store on Kinnikinnic Avenue and they were able to bring me the book within an hour or so. I am very happy with their service. Will definitely go back again.

This place has everything you need!! I came from Chicago and was recommended this place for older comics I needed for my collection. Everyone is nice and welcoming and very helpful! Would definitely recommend for any collectors!

I love this place, friendly group of people work here. The building has character and a lot of cool stuff to look at. Walking into the shop every Wednesday has that feeling of being a kid and walking into a game store or toy store and getting that brand new thing you wanted. Nothing else has captured that feeling for me in a long time except coming here to look at the new comics every week. Its been great for my mental health on a personal level and I'm glad I found it. Only issue is you're likely to miss a popular issue if you don't come in on Wednesday when they open but there is a solution with the pull system they have. It would be more convenient for my case if they had an online system though. Either way the place is great!

I've been shopping @ a Collector's Edge since I was a teen ager, the one in West Allis. Love the shop, Just got Sandman Vol. 1 and 1 and a neat set of HellBoy pins the other day. John at the BV branch and I are just getting to know each other.... Hope they will help me sell some of my old collection that I no longer want so I can focus on things I do want..... it can be an expensive habit 😉

Selection here is quite good, however, their staff is pretentious, sarcastic, and condescending. They insult the customers’ intelligence for asking regular, good-faith questions and are impatient and salty. They have a large selection of trade paperbacks, back issues and collectibles, but I can’t recommending going here, unfortunately, because the staff is so rude. There are other comic shops in Milwaukee with friendly staff who will answer questions without the snark. Go elsewhere for a positive experience.

They had a wide variety of comics. I really liked the quantity of stuff too. I really enjoyed going there. They have a lot of individual comics, however they have less books that combine multiple comics.

I came in here for a gift for my partner. I had a vague description of what I was looking for. The staff was so friendly and helpful!! He worked with me to figure out what comic book character I was talking about. He wasn't sure if they had what I wanted so he contacted the owner. The owner came down to search and found this obscure comic for the 90s. Great customer service!!! Great price!! Recommend this store often!

This is one of the best comic shops I've found it even says so on their card " Best Comic Shop in Milwaukee" I was very impressed with the collection they have available and knowledgeable staff ,glad I stopped in and I will definitely be going back next time I'm up in Milwaukee.

This comic book store has one of the better selections of graphic novels that I have seen, with a fair selection of current issues, and a number of large statues. While they seem to have a number of back issues as well, most these are kept behind the counter where you cannot browse, and pricing seems to be determined at the time of the sale, allowing the store to change prices with the market. Unfortunately this also eliminates any chance of finding a good deal or hidden treasure, and takes most of the fun out of shopping for comics. If checking the place out, be sure to bring cash, as they have an unposted $10 minimum for card transactions, and are not waiving it during the COVID-19 crisis.

Just stumbled upon a really great comic shop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Collector's Edge Comics! From the outside, it looks really small, but it turns out that the basement, which you can't access, is all back issues. You give the owner, Steve, a list of what you're looking for and he does the digging for you. Normally, I'm not into that, but he was fast and found multiple grades of the exact comics I was looking for. Another, what I thought was, a ding against them was that the back issues weren't priced. Normally, I flee from shops like that...He then brought out the Overstreet Price guide and I was prepared to be screwed, but he actually cut me a huge deal! Steve was super nice and very professional. He threw in a stack of dollar back issues for my son and tried talking my daughter into some other freebies. The store was clean and organized. Recommended! Thanks, Steve!

I went here several weeks ago while I was driving through Milwaukee. The store is kinda small but clean and organized. Lots of stuff to look through. The old back issues are only accessible by the staff, but the staff was VERY friendly and helpful in searching through it for me. I couldn't see their collection but I believe their claim from their website of having the largest back issue selection in the area, because they had several issues (sometimes several copies of a particular issue) that I have been looking for for a long time. They also have a few boxes of more recent back issues that you can browse through. It was a great store and I'm hoping to go back sometime.

The package system is an extremely convenient way to have my usual books ready when I get there, giving me more time to browse for other comics. The atmosphere is great - the employees are knowledgeable, but they don't make you feel like an idiot if you do not know who was in a particular key issue like the staff at some places do. I have always felt welcome here, and I appreciate that employees still ask if you need help finding something - it feels like the way retail should be, and the reason I buy from them instead of taking my business online.

Great selection of new comics, and a huge selection of back issues also. Graphic novels, trade paperbacks and plenty of storage supplies as well. And if you are not sure what you want, any of the staff can help you (they know their stuff! ! ) Highly recommended.

Really difficult to review this shop. What they had on hand is very well presented. The clerk was helpful where he could be. They have a large selection of items that are not available to be seen if the owner is not there, and that is where our visit derailed. "We might have what you want, it is downstairs if we do, and I can't look for you..." is never what you want to hear when shopping.

Very cool little comic book store. Really dedicated to comic books and not collectables however they appear to have a large storage facility on site too as when I enquired about a back issue I had been seeing they checked their computer system and went down to pick it up. This I did not expect in an apparent small local book store. All in all a great experience.

This store had the comics that I was looking for! They have a life-sized Spiderman inside. The staff was polite and helped me search for a back issue of a popular comic (unfortunately, none of the other stores in the area had it). Out of local comic book stores in Milwaukee, Lost World of Wonders is probably 2-3x bigger, Collector's Edge East is the smallest, and this one was in the middle.

I don't usually leave reviews, but the last reviewer Mike is an idiot! Now everyone is entitled to their opinion, but every ounce of that review was slanderous garbage! Now let me tell you the real deal about this place. I've been a comic collector for over 20 yrs, and Collector's Edge has always been the "go to place" for anyone who loves comics in the Milwaukee area. How many places have come, and gone, and Collector's Edge is still going strong with four stores. Over the years I've gotten to know the owner, and a lot of his staff. You will not find a friendlier, more knowledgeable staff anywhere! Now to what Mike said... "i remember being a kid and loving this place. but nowadays they won't even sell you a back issue unless you come on friday or saturday." Hey genius, you realize the owner has four stores right??? He can't be at one store every day! " when i was young they would let me look through the box of old comics i was interested in." ummm box of old comics... You realize there are hundreds of thousands of back issues in the basement right??? Oh no wait you didn't, because you just leave dumb a$$ reviews before knowing what your talking about. "Recently i was interested in a comic that would have probably cost 200-250 so it wasn't like i wanted a $5 comic." I've never seen anyone at Collector's Edge treat anyone differently, weather they were spending a ton of money on back issues, or buying "$5 comic" off the rack. " they told me i have to come friday. what kind of crap is that? They told me they are in the basement like its some far away place." The owner can't be everywhere at once, again he has 4 stores. He is making appointments to buy and sell books all of the time, and still he usually is available Friday AND Saturday. The basement may not be a far away place, but if the only staff member is upstairs on the showroom, they can't be closing the store, or leaving the shop unattended. "unfortunately i can't come on fridays so i guess ill take my business elsewhere." Probably a good plan, because again, your an idiot! Oh, and good luck finding your $200-$250 book anywhere else in the area, cause my bet is they won't have it. Have fun over spending for it on ebay;) "the only reason i even give 2 stars is because i really like the gentleman who works at the eastside location on farewell. too bad he's not in charge" I'm sure your East guy is awesome, but I would bet he's not a fan of yours after reading your ridiculous review! I hate that I had to spend all of this time debunking every word this reviewer said, but potential visitors of this store should know how truly awesome it is! I am very unhappy. To begin with they made me leave my chainsaw outside. I offered to shut the engine down but that fell on deaf ears. Then when I got inside they made me put my pants on. I feel their remarks about the hair and scabs on my legs were over the top. Then they made me wash the poop off my hands before I could handle merchandise. That one surprised me because it has never bothered me. When I went to pay they informed me they don't take checks on the Bank of Greece and that my name had to be printed on the check. I feel like I was treated like a bum. When I get out of jail I am not going back there. Just kidding. Making a little fun of the guy below who whined like a biotch! I'm coming in on Labor day. Cya then!
