All-time favorite board game store!!! Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the games. If you are looking for something specific, and they don't have it they will try everything within their power to help you find/order it.

Knowledge service and a willingness to leave you alone and explore they amazing selection. Do not go here for the traditional board games like Sorry!, Trouble, or Shoots and Ladders as ( the owner told me) the distributor can't give them a price that then allows The Preserve to make any profit. Anyways, as I only end up there once or twice a year when I am buying for the gamer in my life I am always impressed because they know the regulars by name, obviously seek to help them secure the unique game pieces they need, and will be honest about what they can and cannot get their hands on. Check it out!

Been a great game store for 30+ years. Huge selection of board games, family games, some RPGS (mainly D&D & Pathfinder, but a few others), excellent selection of Reaper and D&D & Paizo miniatures, decent selection of GW, X-Wing & Armada. Helpful, friendly staff. Points reward system is nice, too.

A great place to buy a wide variety of games. The customer service is always great. Dave was clutch when I called asking for a particular game, one of which they only had a single copy of in stock. He offered to hold it for me, which I greatly appreciated because of the drive to get there. I always enjoy shopping here. Their rewards program saved me 15 bucks to boot.

Good selection of games, puzzles, etc. Limited lines of paints, mostly GW & associated brands. Cannot speak to ccg stock. Most prices seem to be list retail. Much of the stock is out of reach for people using mobility aids. Staff is helpful but frequently busy. Game room in the back, looks airy & well lit.

It is a hobby shop that caters to just about every type of hobby except video games. Select on board and party games are vast and they have a robust Magic: the gathering inventory. Like every business though, they do need to make decisions about what they stock and don't stock. If you are looking for any war-gaming items the selection is not as massive but the staff will work with you to order it if possible. As for gaming space, the back area can handle plenty of card games easily but can be cramped when doing war-gaming but not by much. For the store front in a strip mall near the fashion mall on the north side of Indy, they did a great job with the space.

Not the biggest store in the area but they have a fantastic selection of games available for purchase. They do seem to specialize more in boardgames than cards or miniatures games (though they definitely carry some of those as well). We found several games here that we haven't seen for sale anywhere else so if you can't find it elsewhere try here!

This is a great shop if you are interested in table top games and RPGs. Staff are welcoming and willing to answer questions. They have everything you might need to run a game of D&D (and more). Dice, miniatures, and all the books. They have a game room available to play, just be sure to call ahead and ensure it is available.

This is a good retail game store where you can buy a verity of games and hobby supplies it's always well stocked and has good hours for a retail store, if you want a community store with game space go to the one on the south side

Great service, staff are polite and helpful. Game selection is great for board games and lots of tabletop RPG supplies as well. Stock includes some hard to find items like hardcover specific DM screens for 5e hardcover modules and larger scale minatures.

Solid inventory, prices obviously more than what you’d see online or from a big box store, but nothing egregious. Don’t attend, but they do appear to host a range of rotating games and events.

The Gaming Preserve has been nothing but accommodating, has a large selection of minis, board games, painting supplies, TG Games, and gaming accessories. Wife and I make frequent trips from out of town just to show our appreciation and support and strongly recommend others to pay them a visit!

I'm a big fan of this shop! The employees are friendly and helpful. They provide good suggestions and know many of the games and make a point of learning them. I haven't gone to a game night yet, but they have plenty of options for you to join in.

Nice shop and very clean. The clerk wasn't really into chatting but was friendly enough. Their game selection is great for such a small shop. The one thing I noticed is that none of the product, save the stuff that isn't selling, is discounted. So if your looking for a bargain you may wish to head somewhere else. Otherwise you could do worse than the gaming preserve.

The Game Preserve has by far the most knowledgeable staff of any game store I have ever been to. They were quickly able to figure out and recommend good games for my wife and I to play with our friends during our couples game nights. I'd recommend this store to anyone that's new to gaming or searching for a great gift for a friend or family member!

My go to shop for boardgames. Plenty of times I've walked into the shop looking for a board game gift. I describe my friends board game preferences to the store clerks and they've talked through their suggestions. I've never left The Game Preserve feeling worried about my gift purchases.

As someone who frequents many game stores, this one is by far my favorite. I've never had any issues with workers being rude. Usually if you have questions about games and they don't know, they don't hesitate to look stuff up. Good selection of games too, from advanced to basic. You can find a game for anyone there.

I came here as a recommendation from Comic Book University as I'm interested in getting into painting figures and models and the staff was beyond helpful. They broke everything down simply and very educationally for me. I'll be coming back with a list to finish off my starter purchase!!

Great game store! They usually try to carry a wide swath of games to accommodate everyone from the casual gamer to the hardcore geek! The staff, themselves, are gamers and are pretty knowledgeable - they have usually tried any game that I come in with questions about. This is my top recommended board game store in the Indy area.

Great gaming store. Space in the back for gaming. You can order stuff not in stock and preorder stuff that is not for sale yet. They sometimes work with Kickstarters as well and you can get a Kickstarter deal without fronting the money or paying shipping. Support your Friendly Local Gaming Store!

Go here for family games. Also games from childhood like dungeons and dragons and backgammon. Bought my godson a nice basic chess set. Many fine wood chess sets available as well. Joined the members club and get money back after spending $100

I played in my first ever Magic: the Gathering prerelease tournament here September 30th. The Game Preserve vaulted to the top of my game store list for several reasons: 1. Communicative via email. Email is my favorite method of communication, and I was able to get a lot of questions answered that way. Thank you, Derek! 2. Accommodating my children. I needed to bring my two kids with me to the event. They went out of their way to be accommodating, letting me know when entire tables would be open so my kids could easily sit with he, giving them welcome decks (they're over the moon about this), and generally just being welcoming. 3. Clean store and play area. This is not always the case everywhere! Haha. 4. Generally kind, welcoming, and organized. Great experience. I'll be back for my MtG and other needs, for sure, though they're not my nearest game store.
