Has great products, but they are priced fairly high on things. That's my only complaint. It can be a bit overwhelming and confusing for first timers to find what you're looking for. They have an array of topics and categories to choose from. I could spend all day browsing through all the different selections. Give this place two thumbs up👍👍. There is also a Starbucks located inside this business which is convenient. Restrooms are available as well.

Loved it! First time going and I absolutely loved it. Only one thing was disappointing, they didn't have a book I needed and it said online they had it in stock. 😔 They can order it for you, but id prefer just to have it sent to me home. Other thank that. The experience was great! My daughter found everything she was looking for and more! We will be back!!

Great selection in a wide range of genres. Prices are generally higher than Amazon, but sometimes it's better to see the books in person than just a picture online. Nice selection of games too.

Came here to purchase books for a birthday present. Was trying to find a few books and needed to approach the help desk area. The employee was extremely kind and helpful, they helped me research a book that they weren't familiar with and determined that it wasn't a book they carried and explained why it was likely they didn't have it.

A huge Barnes and Noble right outside the Greenwood mall! I loved the huge area near the front that had best sellers listed by categories, and on both sides of the book shelves. The cafe in the building was still serving food and drinks right up until close which is not usually my experience! The staff here were super friendly and helpful with advice on books we may like based on our previous books we talked about!

Barnes and Noble continues to amaze me with their atmosphere and selection. Found books for my wife. They were out on the shelf. When I asked an employee, she went into the backroom and found some more. Their game selection continues to grow and surprise me.

Biggest advantage that Barnes & noble offers is having a Hands-On selection to choose from since most of the book industry has gone to online purchasing. The major downfall for the company is the fact that they charge maximum rate for books when you can get them up to 75% cheaper online. Personal opinion but the best way to use this store is to go in put hands on the books or products that you like and then get the information and go online and order it once you are pleased with what you physically see.

Lovey, open bookstore, same as any other B&N. They have tons of magazines, puzzles, board games, and legos, more than Target or Walmart. And obviously they have all the most recent books plus the cool gold pages classics. Just bought myself a new US Constitution book with all the other important American documents that I’ve only seen in history books I borrowed. I couldn’t resist, which I why I hate bookstores.

I live in a rural area so when I had to come to the city for an appointment, I couldn't resist stopping in. I really miss bookstores - nothing like browsing the shelves. I went home with a nice stack of summer reading. I could have ordered them for less on Amazon but I don't care. I will continue to support b&m stores whenever possible.

I thought I would check to the reviews to see if anyone else has noticed that this Barnes & Noble location seems to be different than it used to be. Several have mentioned that it is. The lights were low on my last visit. So low that I couldn't find what I was looking for. I did find an employee. She was unable to find the book. I found another employee. She did find the book. It wasn't that it was under something, or behind something. It was quite dark. The store seemed abandoned. It used to be bright and welcoming. Not sure what is going on.

Update: the store has shifted quite a bit since covid, it definitely seems to make it easier to get lost in. Always enjoy coming to this store and getting lost! Cafe is a great spot to grab potential purchases, do the first 15 page testing of if you like it or not, then make your way to the front with a shelf load of wonderful reads. For those with kids, they do a great job with fun activities and storytime events!

I have to start this review by letting readers know that in general I have a soft spot in my heart for bookstores. I am perfectly happy to wander without assistance and see what speaks to me. Barnes & Noble gets five stars because when wandering fails, there is knowledgeable staff to point a person in the right direction. There is also a little coffee shop where a customer can sit and read to their hearts content. Although very large, the entire space is clean and well organized.

Ok ambiance but rarely could find current technical IT books desired in the store but sometimes online. Displays of most current books difficult to locate some topics, definitely need time to browse the aisles to survey what's available and location on shelves.

For a bibliophile like me, Barnes & Noble near my home is a magical heaven. My family has always enjoyed browsing through books and sipping a cuppa joe there forever. It's a fantastic store, but honestly, it can't beat the online prices. Although I want to support the retailer and local/small businesses––getting a gift card or buying there does not convince me enough due to the lack of sales or coupons even when subscribed. I wished they worked harder to retain customers or at least price matched because if they had to close down anytime, book lovers like me would be saddened.

This place is simply magical. It's much larger than other Barnes and Noble locations I've visited, and their selection is wonderful. They have everything from books to DVDs to vinyl records, and the store has a quaint and relaxing feel that I haven't seen replicated anywhere else. My Granddaughter Marley enjoys reading, thank God, so she got 2 books and was able to buy the books and still have money left for additional shopping!!! I looked around but could not find what I wanted and the clerk was already helping 2 others plus checking customers out and we stillhadshops Marley wanting to visit. Great place. My Son, my Daughter-in-law and Granddaughter are all fans of this store and all three of them are very educated. If you need a book, some games and other materials you need to check this store out. By the way all of their stores are a like so if you go to Greenwood Mall or the one in Colorado Springs CO you will see the same thing!

It feels like this place and probably most similar stores are dying a slow death. At the risk of kicking a dead horse, with the proliferation of Amazon specifically and the internet in general, brick and mortar bookstores are becoming dinosaurs. This store seemed almost abandoned with a few intrepid explorers ogling the past that was on display here. Half of the lights were turned off, there was a bare bones crew of employees. It just felt on its way out. Prices seemed higher than what I usually pay online with the only advantage being that I could actually touch the product before buying.

I love this store, usually chain book stores are meh... But the staff here makes the atmosphere friendly and welcoming. The selection is decent; normal categories, music, clearance, and games available. There is also a little Starbucks, if you just want to sip some hot chocolate and look through a new book. It's a nice little spot to lounge if you have some time to kill.

love this place! it has a cute little starbucks cafe inside and the two (bookstore and cafe) are open until 11pm! for a college student needing a good place to study late for finals and school this is perfect! the atmosphere is fun and light but also you are very much able to do your own thing if needed. last time i went in and bought a book they gave me a buy one get one free cookie from the cafe as well! so yummy and so kind!

My first encounters with B&N came back in around 1962 when I would come to Manhattan from the family apartment in Newark. I would go to the Strand Book Store first and then stroll to the nearby Barnes & Noble, which was, I believe, their only store at the time. The branch in Indiana is many times larger than that early one and also boasts a very nice cafe where one can sit and read over a lovely latte. Highly recommended!

He was working alone for a little while and several times while I was waiting on my order he let me know that he would be with me shortly and that he appreciated my patience. Prices were a little higher than I remembered from my last visit, but I guess I'm just used to buying used so much that I forget what retail stores charge for new books and such. Super friendly staff, directed me right to where the item I needed (notebook) was. She asked me what I was looking for in a notebook and since I needed one that would fit in my back pocket she recommended a Moleskine notebook. After having had it for about a month I'm really happy with my purchase and I'm glad that she recommended it to me. The cafe is a Starbucks and as such it's what you'd expect from a Starbucks. Pricey, but really tasty and fast service. Men's restroom had a really weird smell and the trash was full, but since I didn't spend much time in there it's not a big deal. Large selection of books and music and all such things you'd want from a bookstore. Will be coming back for sure.

5 star B&N, (but I recommend Half Priced Books across the street). This has a decent bathroom, Starbucks, and a media section. It's a big store, great for browsing or sitting around, eating a scone and flipping through books while waiting on your husband and his brother to finish doing their dude stuff.

TL;DR _ Check the price online first before buying anything here! Well, the good part is the staff was very friendly and helpful, plus they had what I was looking for, and they agreed to hold it for me for up to 3 days. However, the most appalling thing happened when I got to the register. She rang up my item, an illustrated Harry Potter Boxed set, and said my total was $128 something. I had looked up the item on their website beforehand to find out if they even sold it, and it was $78.41 ON THEIR WEBSITE. Now keep in mind it's only about $70 on Amazon, but I like to support bookstores and I wanted it immediately. So anyway I'm standing there, mouth agape at the $50 disparity, and she says maybe what I saw was the online price. So I asked if I had to order it online then, and she said yes but I could pick it up there in about an hour once it processed if I ordered it for "in-store pickup"........ the exact item that is literally sitting there right in front of me! Honestly, I wasn't even mad, but it made me question the reality of my existence. Was this really happening? Exasperated, I ordered it online, went to dinner, and came back to pick it up. On the plus side they texted me when it was "ready" 😂 and I got an extra 15% off for entering my email address.

Very friendly staff, when you can find them! It was extremely busy, so I try not to look too much into it, but I did stand at the service counter for a good 5 minutes before being helped. Besides that, they had everything I needed! The coloring book situation isnt really the best though. They should really organized then a little better instead of throwing them all on a shelf and making you sift through them.

This is a very nice Barnes & Noble and if you are visiting the Greenwood Mall, I would highly recommend you stop in for a visit. They have a Starbucks in the store so if you want to have some coffee and read a book, this a great place to do that. The only complaint that I have is that they do not price match their own online prices (or other store prices), and their books are fairly overpriced compared to other stores.

Includes a large selection of books, and a small records and CD section. The cafe is small and quaint, which makes it the perfect place to relax and read/study. The toys section is always rotating in the newest releases and hottest toys in, and they even have a small section dedicated to puzzles and brain teasers.

I buy 2-3 mags each visit. You can find the latest publications. Barnes and Noble is highly recommended for holiday gift giving.

I'm teetering between a 3-4 star on the sole issue these books are so expensive! I'd much rather get on Amazon or go to Half Price Books where I'll spend less than half of what I would in this store. For example, I wanted to get The Five Love Languages. On Amazon I found it for close to $10 but spend about $16 at B&N. If they had a used book section, I did not see it but that would be awesome if they did! It's a beautiful store with amazing options.

Nice store with very friendly and knowledgable staff! Each time I've gone here, they've known exactly where to find what I was looking for and when they didnt have it, they helped me order it. Received 2 or 3 days later. Great kids section with activity tables, an enormous selection of books and toys, and even book readings/plays on the little stage area. My kids love to come here just to play! Reasonable prices and convenient location.

This is a very fun environment to take my 2 year old. We can go in and hang out for an hour pretty easy. I personally hate books and reading, but my toddler loves it. Only issue I had (and idk if B&N actually have anything to do with it) but went to buy a soda from the cafe in there on a weekend abd only 2 ppl were behind the counter. There was a line when we got there and a line after we left. The lady ringing up the orders was also helping make the drinks. For a weekend in the summer they should have another person working :/

Clean, spacious, and generally just a great place to unwind and cross a few items off your To-Do List all at the same time, which is especially important during a global pandemic and coronavirus outbreak. I stopped in to get a birthday gift for my daughter (as well as a card and the gift wrap), enjoyed a coffee and a treat from the Starbucks (and checked out hands-free with Google Pay), purchased a magazine, a puzzle, a journal, and a colored gel-pen set for those days spent more wisely at home right now, and even found a few fall home decore items on the clearance table to decorate my living room. But, the best part was getting 10% off my entire order at checkout with my B&N Membership, which usually pays for itself in one visit. So, even if you never return to B&N again over the next 12 months, you still break even. But, what are the chances you stop at B&N one time, all year? Slim, considering you can use your membership discount online, which I can imagine will be very popular this holiday season. B&N has everything...even Legos, Thomas The Train, and Baby Einstein for the new members born in the family, all the way to dormatory essentials, book bags, and textbooks for the wise members in the family starting college or learning at home this fall. There are even get well gifts for those with COVID-19 in the family!

Books, DVDs, CDs, toys, kid's toys, collectables, coffee. Everything you could want for a coffee and book store. I think they do special events from time to time, but I'm never in the area for them. The staff is good at sales without being pushy.

A good place for new books or media, but the prices are more expensive because of their selection. However, there is a discount if you become a member. Typically there are plenty of staff to assist if needed. There is also a small Starbucks cafe with tables, but the tables are fairly small if you are planning on doing any projects or schoolwork.

I normally LOVE B&N but today I learned of one of their business practices that irritated me..hence the 3star review and not the 5 I would have normally given them. They charge less online than they do in-store but you only get the discount price if you purchase so much to cover the cost of shipping. It seems a little a little shady...I will be back as a customer and I won't stop anyone else from going in there but it was just a bit annoying to find this out.

I personally use B&N as a Lego outlet. A proxy location to sometimes find sets outside the normal sale cycle. The primary reason for this is that Lego products are never on sale at B&N, so I don't use them for new products generally. But every once in a while, they will do little build giveaways and projects for all ages to participate. Jul13th was the Harry Potter event, where you would build a Golden Snitch and get 15% off your lego HP product purchase. Beyond that, they have a good selection of books, games, toys, general supplies, and a killer cafe in the back. Good for an hour to kill or plan your weekly book club around them.
