I grew up in Hawaii and this place was my go-to for any sort of hobby need. I don't live in Hawaii anymore sadly, but over the years, every time I am back in town, I always stop by Other Realms and without fail, I can always count on two things: 1) they will 99% of the time will have exactly what I am looking for (and I'll usually also find something new to get into), and 2) the staff are super friendly and helpful. If you are new to any sort of hobby or a lifelong hobbyist like me, Other Realms is highly recommended.

Probably the best selection of comics on the island, great selection of everything else and a cool crowded of people behind the counter. Other than the pain in finding a parking spot (I suggest the second floor above the shop) it is for to be the best gaming/nerd/comic/cool store on the island.

Big store with a lot of selection. Was looking to pick up some vintage comics but they didn't have some of the rare items I needed. So I picked up some back-issues and card accessories. But overall great store with also MTG and other games. Very well stocked and organised, wished I had more luggage space! It's located towards the rear of this multi-building complex if you parked on the Nimits Hwy side.

Oh my gosh the variety and set up! Loved finding this store. They have a huge selection of comics and games. They had huge collections for Warhammer, D&D, Magic the Gathering, Star Wars, and all DC/Marvel themed games. There was way more but those are the mains ones we were thrilled to look at besides the smaller games like Exploding Kittens. A bunch of cool merch and collectibles too, really glad we stopped by! The employees were very knowledgeable and super nice as well.

Complete Nerdvana. I'll admit, I wasn't expecting to find such a well stocked, organized and spacious comic and gaming store when I walked in. Comics, games, miniatures, graphic novels, models and figures of all sorts, paints, cards etc. Well organized and stocked, had stuff I've never seen anyplace else. If I was staying I'd definitely join the graphic novel club and try to make it to game nights. Make this your go - to shop if your on Oahu!

This is nerd heaven! I took my sister here when she came home from Japan and she said it stayed just as she had left it. I like places that stay the same, got me some awesome cards against humanity set's for fascinating new games with friends! They have games, game pieces, comics and plushies! One of the best comic places in Hawaii. They do offer more than comics like cards, figurines, and supplies. They have back issues, they have limited variants, and they have bags and boards. The staff is knowledgeable in comics and storage. We went for a signing of David Nakayama and that was amazing. We have been back and signed up for their discount card. You gotta check them out.

We found two great games, Coup and Hint it. This store is a gem and you will find something that will interest you. They do host events as well. So ask them when you visit. For those interested in Pop figures, they have a selection here as well.

Prices are absurd on their cards. Board game collection has a wide variety of stuff but their are no Pokémon and barely any Yu-gi-oh cards. Got scammed out of $40 there. If your looking for games or comics then this place is for you. If cards (MTG, Yu-gi-oh, etc.) then I would pass.

My family loves it here. They have a great selection of comics, anything my little heart could want. My husband recently got into miniature painting and they have all the stuff for that, plus a knowledgeable staff. We like that they have a room where you can try out board games before buying. Good place to trade in Magic cards too. The employees are always friendly and helpful. We will definitely miss this place if we ever have to move!

Great store. They have a wide selection of games and accessories you can't find on amazon. If you are new to D&D and other table top games, the staff is really friendly and helpfully. Another great thing, there is a parking garage nearby that has free 2 hour parking for customers. I am happy to support this local businesses!

Selection of stuff is great. The staff is really top notch. When I have off the wall super nerdy questions, they actually have answers or know someone and produce answers. The manager/owner(?) is really great, after my first time playing MTG there he remembered me by face and made a point to let me know about up coming MTG events. 10 out of 10 would go again. And I do.

There are other comic book stores on the island for sure but if you want a one stop shop (and a pretty large one at that) for D&D, WH40k, WH Fantasy, comics and everything else tabletop oriented this is the place to go. They even have a rewards program.

Great store with great staff and an enormous selection. Comics, games, accessories, and misc props and bobbles they've got it all. A bit expensive but worth it to patronize a local small business. Really lovely board game night on Tuesday nights for the semi-casual crowd. Worth the trip.

I love Other Realms! It's a family friendly gaming store, filled with board games, role playing games and books, war games, miniatures, miniatures painting supplies, comics, and more. They have several rooms with tables for playing games that you can reserve. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging. All of their staff members read comics, play games, and can give great suggestions. They have a pretty diverse crew, and have I said they're all incredibly nice? In short, if you like Warhammer, D&D, or any other kind of game, Other Realms probably has what you're looking for (and Comics).

Awesome assortment of graphic novels and comics, board games, etc. Employees are VERY helpful and also highly knowledgeable in their products. A great feature they have is you can fill out a form and list what comics or storylines your following/collecting and they'll pull the issues aside and hold them for you. Very convenient service!

Got my love of DnD rekindled a few months back and was pleasantly surprised to find this store here so I could rebuild an arsenal of dice. The staff there is great, they have a nice selection of pretty much everything for quite a few games, Other Realms is clean too (which is very nice), and my wife actually enjoys going to "the nerd store" with me. They have a pretty decent rewards program too. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, but I just go park at the back side of Best Buy and walk over (I usually end up going there anyways, so it works out). I haven't done it yet, but my friends do, they do have painting nights where hobbyists can get together, tall shop, and paint miniatures. I think they have contests too!

They have a room to play table tops able to separated from the store, a community table for instore sessions, and a painting room for miniatures. They have a wide selection of comics, games, miniatures, and paints. Always good to support a local shop as they also host little comic events for local artist.

So I'm nerdy enough to check out a game store on vacation. Truth us I'm considering moving and I wanted to check out the local gaming scene. The guys here were phenomenal, very knowledgeable and welcoming. They gave me tips on what to load up on before moving (spray paint is a biggie) and other advice about the area. If they're this welcoming to a complete stranger from a world away they are second to none in their help for locals.

Comic and game stores are not exactly famous for this. You can use their tables to play games and meet like minded people. Other Realms is aptly named, everyone should check it out!

I have been a board game enthusiast for many years, to the point that any time I visit a city, I make an effort to visit all the local shops. Other Realms is one of those unique places that is absolutely loaded with stuff and treasures. The sections are very dedicated with a large selection (to the point that I would say looking for a specific game can be a slight chore). Prices are standard with an extra shelf of mark downs and they do have everything broken down into sections. Family games, party games, enthusiast games, an extremely well stocked Games Workshol section, and round it all out with 2 separate rooms, one for painters, and o e for gamers. Definitely a place I could spend hours in just perusing everything. Not my forte but they have a very large comic section and at least one case dedicated to Magic: The Gathering. Customer service isn't great (armchair adventurer is #1 there) but the selection at Other Realms is hands down #1 here in Honolulu and I dare say could easily put other stores in other states to shame. If you are in Oahu and consider yourself a hobby gamer stop by, you will be very happy you did!

This is a great comics store, but it was so incredibly hard to find, even with Waze and Google maps, with both apps saying we had arrived when it was still many store fronts away. It is located in a large multi-level business park housing many small businesses on the street-side of building and back side of building. And it doesn't help that there is one-way traffic in front of select parts of the building and the apps can't tell you what level the place is on. We finally found it only after calling the business and asking for directions.

Came in looking for what we thought was a pretty obscure game expansion and hoping to find at least one. We were mind blown when we walked through the doors to find not only a very helpful and knowledgeable staff, but SEVEN expansions plus 3 other base versions that we didn’t even know existed. Definitely the place to go on Oahu for all things game-whether it be classic board games, cards, fantasy, etc. We will be back for their Tuesday game nights!

Other Realms is the absolute best comic and games store on the island! They have a massive selection of new comics, back issues, and trades dominate one third of the huge floorspace. On the other end of the store is every kind of board game you can imagine. Throughout the store are other role play games, mini war games, trading card games, and primo memorabelia! If somehow they don't have what you are looking for in stock, they will order it promptly The knowledgeable staff is very helpful and friendly. They also set up multiple tables to play games with your friends, or to meet some new ones. They have a regular rotating schedule of games everyday and a running calendar of bigger rarer events. For comics and games on Oahu, Other Realms cannot be beat!

The location is a bit out of the way, which means little traffic and always having a parking space in the parking garage. Even if they're busy ringing up other customers, the staff will still greet you. The shop space is open. While there are a lot of items on display, there is no sense of clutter. Items for sale are comic books, trades; Warhammer 40K and Age of Sigmar model kits, specialized games like Blood Bowl, paints, brushes, terrain modeling kits, and Black Library paperbacks, hardcovers, and audiobooks; Magic the Gathering and other CCGs, dice and other gaming accessories, card games, board games, and other tabletop games Tables at the center of the shop are reserved for gaming, tabletop or CCGs. There are two side rooms. One is dedicated to RPGs, the other to tabletop gaming and miniatures painting. Occasionally tabletop game tournaments are held in a room upstairs. There is a membership card that can earn in-store points for use with future purchases. There is a subscription for comics. Do visit monthly to prevent backlogs.

The guys there have always been great at pointing me in the right direction of new comic book storylines and game releases. It's only my pocketbook that holds me back. The location is great in a mall where I get some of my favorite food on-the-go. My friends and I hang-out and play in the game room Monday nights and if you haven't been to their Games Day's, you are missing out!

The only problem is that the location is a bit out of the way, and it took me a while to find it. However, it was worth visiting, so don't give up if it is a little difficult to find at first.

4- Stars only b'cuz I haven't been in there yet. Usually my doctors appointment is done by the time this store opens. Looks like they have thousands of boxed sets and characters that people collect in boxes like Superman, Avengers and those kinds of things which I know nothing about. I like that (AAA) Is right there first office and they park their many new rescue trucks in the covered parking lot. I always had AAA Services on my car. The price yearly is such a small amount when you compare it to some of the emergency situations that you might encounter while driving on our crazy roads & streets. The store is clean and organized. If you're not familiar with Ward Centers this place can be hard to find.
