I love going to Barnes and Nobles and I am a total book lover. There are so many different kinds of books here, gifts for anyone or occasion and a coffee shop thrown in so what's not to love here right? I like seeing books about politics, different hobbies and what authors I can discover. I have a hard time leaving Barnes and Nobles once inside. There is a public restroom there too.

Been here more times than I can count. I don't have any problems with the bookstore but the cafe? Can't really say I have a problem because they've never not given me my order and they've never messed it up. This is more of an observation as I go there frequently to study and work. As far as I know, there are only two? maybe three? baristas who actually acknowledge you lol. Idk maybe the other ones just hate their job that much because B&N isn't paying them enough. Or maybe they're consistently short-staffed and it puts them in a bad mood. Can't blame them. Just makes them seem really unapproachable. Maybe that was their plan this whole entire time!!! To deter us from bothering them and ordering anything!! Geniuses! Anyway, B&N should just pay them more. Like $20+ because that's a living wage these days.

I’m so happy that we have a B&N in Fargo, however it does seem all they really focus on is what’s trending on TikTok, what’s trending on Netflix, etc. They do have a lot, I won’t say they don’t but when I asked if they have anything like the Chronicles of Narnia they had one single huge paperback of all them combined and that’s it. I do love this place & I really do spend a huge chunk of my paycheck here not gonna lie but I do wish they carried better inventory of things like the classics.

Okay, so I love this place. Its legit my favorite book store in the area. The staff is ALWAYS friendly. Food and drinks are served in a timely manner. But also, the atmosphere is generally great at this location. Being able to sit down, read a book, use the wifi and enjoy yourself is pretty easy to do here. Loved this location for years and I like taking my kids here till this day.

This place is more then a book store. The kids get so excited just driving by the place. You could kill an hour easily browsing the wide array of fiction and non fiction books, lord almighty the kids craft selection is on fire for Christmas gifts. Somthing for everyone a one stop get everyone a gift this season. I get a dragon every time I go

I love Barnes & Noble, I can spend hours in there. My only wish is that they have more of a selection of my kind of books. (which I will leave nameless as to not sound too selfish) being able to have a cup of coffee while looking through a possible purchase is a nice touch. I have been going there for many years.

Employees are really friendly and helpful here. Everything is very well organized. Love the pop culture selection they have here too! Lots of neat stuff that I haven't seen at any other Barnes and Noble stores. Definitely worth a look!

My first bookstore visit since moving from Los Angeles. Evaluating the assortment as a former bookstore employee and corporate book buyer for a national chain, this location is huge and well stocked, especially in fiction, self improvement, and books for kids and young readers. Also good graphic novel and manga sections, and the toy, puzzle, and games sections are great. If I had one small qualm I'd say the fine art section could be more robust but that's maybe just me. Staff was friendly and super helpful too - the book I was looking for wasn't in stock so they happily special ordered it for me. All in all a great store.

It was a little cold inside but smelled nice. Was pretty slow... more employees than customers. I got approached three times while looking around. Workers were friendly. Asked for a specific book. The girl looked it up on the small kiosk area computer. The book was not available in store, only online. So I asked which area it would be stored in hoping to find something similar. She walked me to the area but the employee left before I could ask a follow up question so I browsed the area and ultimately left without buying anything. Overall a good experience but; no specific help within the department, no upsell, or suggestive selling. I gave it a 4 because I wasn't ignored and they were friendly and genuine when they helped. But not 5 because I didn't find the item I wanted. The availability of product was lacking.

Loved it! Every Barnes and Noble's I've been to has been awesome. Great stock of books. Though prices are a little high, but everyone knows that, and it's not so big of a deal, if you you're just being books. The only negative thing I have to say, is the staff wasn't so friendly. The cashier was ok, very polite, did her job, but I have seen better service. The other cashier's I saw, weren't the same. Very stiff, had that indifferent, annoyed look on their face. That's the only reason why I didn't give five stars, because of that. But it was in the evening when I went, and they could have been tired. All in all, four stars is still an -A.

I really enjoy this store. I love their Lego selection, their game options, as well as the great variety of puzzles. And of course you can't help but love the large selection of books. My son was looking for a very specific book and the staff was extremely helpful in finding it. I also love the Starbucks Cafe with great drink and snack options. I really enjoy the entire experience and always look forward to going to the Barnes and Noble in Fargo.

I walked in after parking my bike, and hoping it would still be there when I got out, I walked to within like 8 ft of the only book I was there to find, I walked out after finally paying, the lines were the worst part, I discovered my bike still sitting there, and rode home and read a little bit of Be Here Now, and it's been the best random stop ive made in Years.... The Universe has a theme park like sense of humor 🤣

I have never browsed a Barnes and noble once in my life, so I was pretty perplexed my first time there. One girl who worked there came up to me and was really helpful and nice. She showed me some spots where i might find things based off my interests and favorite books, and she helped me find a gift for my partner when I mentioned what he likes! The store itself is great with a wide array of books and genres to fit any interests you may have. If you love books and have absolutely no impulse control, this is your place to be!

Since the very first time that I learned to how read, which was over over 45 years ago, there has always been a love affair with books. Barnes & Noble Champions the way, quietly, consistently supporting my life long addiction to books! The first one I ever stepped into one was in Anchorage, Alaska during my formative years. It was like stepping into a cathedral of books! A Sanctuary! The customer service has always been stellar and the selection of books is enough to sustain generations of readers . I went into the store and I had no idea what I was looking for except I know which kinds of books my daughter likes and an employee recommended me some books and they were something that I had remember my daughter talking about so her suggestions were spot-on and she was nice and friendly the store was clean. For the extra couple dollars it costs to buy at a local bookstore versus Amazon oh, I will definitely come back to the bookstore just because they're helpful and their suggestions are right in line with the kind of things my daughter likes to read. The world still needs brick-and-mortar bookstores and I am glad this one is still here.

I’ve loved this store ever since I was a kid - I often told my mom I wanted to ‘live’ at the Fargo B&N 😂 Going to B&N brings me such a thrill of nostalgia and excitement. I haven’t been for a while given the pandemic, reduced hours etc. and Seth was super nice and courteous today at the checkout and I had a great experience as always. The staff are always very kind and willing to help you.

Barnes and noble is practicing social distancing, at check out. But like every other store in town, it's very busy. We went to replenished our Christmas cards, they have a good supply at 30% off. I haven't been to Barnes and Noble for quite a while. It was nice to go back and see if anything is different. It wasn't but what they do have is paper books. I do a lot of cooking, and I hate recipes from online. So I went there today looking for a good quality book on making bread. It was fun looking through a number of books until I found the ONE. I know dramatic, but not all cookbooks are the same. Bookstores still have there place.

Have not had a good experience at this store for a while now something very strange going on. The hair on the back of my neck stands when I go inn and I feel like I am being followed while in there shopping. Overzealous security at the store possibly. Update: Spoke to corporate and the store manager and they are seriously looking into what is happening at this store to insure no one is in any danger. They are also going to try to carry more books in what I would like to buy.

It's a very clean store and most of the shelves are perfectly ordered. A bit light on adult level books, a bit heavy on children's books. One too many times I've had to order out - now if I order online I'd go through Amazon. I guess the prices are concurrent with the book sale market - they seem steep to me but not unreasonable. Very friendly (and not pushy) staff.

I joke that they should have carts for your winter gear, coffee, and purchases because I feel weird staking a claim on the floor, but that's what I always have to do. All good things! We make a point to always stop at Barnes and Noble when in Fargo. The store is always clean and organized, and smells amazing thanks to the Starbucks coffee shop at the back. This tore is large and features an expansive selection of books (duh), a fabulous kids section (on this visit we caught story time!), Gifts, toys, and a huge magazine selection. We could spend a whole day here! My only criticism is that there aren't enough places to pause and read a minute- it would be great if there were a few benches, chairs, or even stools around in the shelves if you needed to pause and look over your selection.

I can't begin to describe how great this location for Barnes and Nobles is. Our entire family shops here. I would give a 10+ if the rating scale went that high. Store associates are super helpful and courteous even during this awful pandemic. Selection is fantastic. Can't say how much better they could do this. Mandatory stop for us in the Fargo area!

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They don't harass you and they also don't make you feel like your bugging them when you do have questions. They have a good selection of books, manga, graphic novels, magazines, and a surprisingly large music area. The atmosphere is nice and generally relaxing. The music they play just makes you want to read (it's weird that a book store would do that /sarcasm).

I guess I'm not sure how to give a positive review about a bookstore. They have a lot of books? And a good selection of books? Magazines and audiobooks. I never feel uncomfortable when I'm browsing around! It's all very well organized. I hid a note in one of the books there once to start off a scavenger hunt for my girlfriend. They didn't take the note out of the book so I'm grateful! Customer service is always friendly and helpful!

They've done a lot with this place since it opened. I love the new layout. Great selection where you can just lose yourself while browsing great literature and various other things. The Starbucks in the back of the store ties it all together for a pleasant place to hang out as well.

Went for storytime at 11am. It was packed in the kids area, not enough benches for even half the attendees Glad to see so many families bring their kids to get excited about books. The reader was entertaining and easy to hear. She made sure to try to show the pictures to everyone.

It's what you'd expect from a Barnes and Noble. The staff were nice, the store had lots of cool options and sales going on. It might be because of the holiday season or the fact school is coming up that the store seemed to have issues with organization, where things seemed just a little off. But that didn't really change the experience - I'm very used to chaotic used bookstores.

Great store with a lot of stuff, unfortunately the item I'm looking for is usually online. Really glad they have brought back Lounge chairs though, and wish there were (more) plugins in the cafe, but I completely understand why they don't. Back in the day a lot of loitering from homeless people would happen, which in the winter it's great there's a warm spot, but I can understand how from a business perspective it's not desirable. Anyway, my son loves it and we usually always find something to buy there.

I love the atmosphere at Barnes and nobles, I could spend a very long time in this bookstore and I appreciate their expansion into some areas of pop culture to stay relevant with today's shoppers. The only annoying thing is how I'm asked every single time I get something if I want to become a member. It takes away from the experience a little.

It's a book and media store. Wide selection of titles at full price, but a pretty large set of discount items as well. Clean and relatively quiet. There is a coffee and snack area, although we didn't get anything from there. Staff is usually pretty good at helping you find things if you aren't sure which section they might be in.

Wide variety available. Can be a delayed wait at the info desk. Sad to see the chairs have been removed due to covid but it's understandable. BUT they do have hand sanitizer available at the door so it's there to use when you walk in and when you walk out!

Love coming here. They have so many kids toy and books, its awesome. I also love that they took out the music/dvd section and made it into an expanded comic book/scifi section with a lot of awesome nerdy stuff in it. Definitely worth it to get a membership for the discount if you shop there enough.

Recently revamped layout makes it easier to get to audio section and expanded collectables area. Staff is friendly and tend to be knowledgeable regarding where to find what you're looking for and will look to find it online if not in store. Parking lot can be a little challenging since people cross it to get to nearby business.

I needed help in the children's section and the lady who assisted me was wonderful! But when I got to the checkout, the only things the gentleman said to me were "Is this it?" and "Here you go". No "Hello" or "Thank you". If I'm going to make a special trip to Barnes & Noble it would be nice if the person who checked me out looked like they're happy I'm there.

Barnes & Noble has always been my go-to place when I need to relax. With plenty of books and easily sorted shelves, you can find a great deal no matter where you look. The cafe is also a joy, serving up my personal favorite: Vanilla Chai tea. Perfect to go with my new book of the week to read up on while I escape the hectic life outside. I also get many coupons from my emails, and a membership there is cheap - not to mention the many side items that are tempting to buy. Overall, if I need to relax, I come here.

Barnes & Noble is a great place to find books to buy. If you know what you're looking for you can find it easily. If you don't know what you're looking for they have staff that love books. Eat breathe live books. Place is always clean and very quiet. You could pick up a book and go to the coffee area and start reading. There's children's books there as well. Start the children young to read books and they will be smarter kids when they get older. There are children's toys there as well. And it's pretty much in the middle of the city so it's not far from anywhere or anything.

A good place to go for new books. A quality Starbucks inside. Also sells a few toys and games and higher-end journals, pens, and such. They have a music and movies section, but, I wouldn't visit for that. If you need a book, especially new, it is a good place to go.

Barnes & Noble is the place to go for new books. Be it nonfiction or fiction, fantasy or science fiction, it has quite a lot. I've been going to these for longer than I can remember and I love the atmosphere they carry. The smell of paper and coffee with their Starbucks in the back? Perfect for a good read. I walked in and immediately left over the mask requirement. This place serves coffee and food. I have no desire to play the mask game to go and have a cup of coffee and browse books. They need to figure out if they are a healthcare facility or bookseller.

Nice decor. Clean building. Polite service. Variety in books, magazines, journals, calendars, etc. Very limiting seating and no where to charge your laptop or phone while you look through books or relax in the Starbucks seating area. I wish we had more variety for bookstores around here, but I really do like Barnes & Noble so I'm definitely not too broken up over it. There's a couple of used bookstores around that are nice to check out on occasion as well. At B&N though it's nice to just take your time browsing, and maybe stumble upon a gem you've never read. I've never had an issue with staff being overly annoying either which is great... They're there ready to help when you need them, but not constantly bugging you while you're on the hunt. Buy a book or two, grab some coffee, relax, and make an experience of it.

I would live here if I could. LOVE B&N. They took out a lot of the chairs a while back to deter people from sitting down and reading the books sadly. Love the atmosphere and cafe inside. Staff are usually uber helpful but the place can be pretty busy at times.

This is my season for magazines with Christmas coming and Barnes and Noble can be counted on to have this best. Well, not this one. The section is a mess and the "Home and Garden" section has a mere handful of gardening magazines. Weird. The book side of it is lovely and they have a good educational toy section. I read a lot, but mostly through apps on my Samsung S10. I don't purchase much in terms of hard or paperback. That being said, they are located next to my place of work and I visit them on a near daily basis for the Starbuck's coffee that they serve at their cafe. Not only are their managers super friendly and extremely capable of making you feel like you are the most appreciated customer of the day, but their choice in new employees is good enough to where even the new employees seem to make you feel important for their daily sales, as a regular, to their cooperation.

Shopped here many a time, the smell of Starbucks is really nice and adds some character to the place over all. The new anime section is neat and I guess caters to some of the last people buying books all the time. I typically found the dvd selection ok. Sometimes there is really good deals on books in the clearance section especially maps, but for the most part it's the run of the mill Barnes and noble.

This is a standard Barnes and Noble. Not that many left but in Fargo it gets a lot of business. I have to give it three stars because I absolutely hate that I have to pay full cover price for most books they sell there when I know I could order it on Amazon for half the price. You can pay a membership fee and get like 30% off hardcovers but you'd still be paying more than Amazon. A couple bucks isn't a big deal but when I need to but technical books I just can't bring myself to pay $20-30 more. If you like traditional bookstores and don't mind expressing that by paying more then you'll like this place.

We came here looking for a book that B&N claimed was on stock here, and after searching for it for 20 minutes they finally located it in the "customer hold" section, and would still be there for several days. So, we were unable to purchase this last copy of the book and made a trip here for nothing based on this.
