We love to visit comic stores that have horror stuff when visiting from out of town!!! This place is definitely a hidden gemstone of a store.

Stopped in here for the first time on a recommendation from a coworker and I was impressed - the moment I saw 3 hearses parked out front I had a good feeling about this place. They have a great selection of back issues, and tons of toys and figures, along with clothing and decorative pieces as well. The staff was laid back and helpful, the atmosphere is light and informal, and it's just a cool place. I was pleasantly surprised by their comic prices as well - I was able to get 3 back issues of Saga and 4 X-Men back issues for half of what 1 Saga back issue would've cost me going to that other giant comic book store...you know the one. Kudos to Vision for fair prices, great selection, and a fantastic store - I will definitely return!

Vision comics has become one of our staples when we’re digging for less common comic books in the heart of Denver. Chris, the owner, and his employees are fun and knowledgeable. Chris’s prices are fair and they do have excellent sales pretty regularly. The stock is always changing, both with comics and toys, so we find something new each time. For those interested in the macabre, they also have a great selection of oddities to add to your collection. This is one of the best in Denver, along with Hall of Justice and I Want More Comics - definitely patronize them over mile-high if you want a good deal.

I'm a trucker that came from out of town and must say VC&O is one of the best comic shops I have ever visited. The owner Chris was such a cool guy and was very knowledgeable and friendly. Heaven on Earth. From owner and staff not only being polite and responsive but knowledgeable about their inventory and the pop culture media it may represent to an absolutely, and I mean absolutely, massive collection of books, comics, trade paper backs, toys, Funkos and more all available to peruse and purchase. Looking for that one niche issue of your favorite comic? They probably have it and know exactly which shelf and box. Know very little about a fandom and looking for that perfect gift for that someone in your life? Let the staff know along with your budget and they will gladly help you find that perfect item. Their pricing is beyond competitive, their inventory absolutely stacked and their staff unbeatable for customer service. Cannot recommend enough.

Before arriving at this store, I wondered about the oddities. What would they be? And how odd, really? Upon entering, I got it. This is a store that’s half comic-books, and half Halloween – yes, a costume shop. Like if The Wizard’s Chest had a full comics area instead of games and gaming downstairs. I think there’s another half to this shop that’s indie rock and roll, but that would be three halves, and that’s a wild, unproven theory based on clues here and there. I suppose I should just stick to the facts. The primary fact is this: it’s a combination that works in an entertaining, fun way. There are bizarre costumes, and creepy figures, and scary statues, and masks and toys and props… and comics, too, lots of comics. Another fact: it’s a large building, and very open toward the back, with lots of floor space. I bet when they have special events, they are able to really go all out. The owner/manager/person on duty told me they do enjoy putting on such events, particularly for kids. They have a Back-to-School night among the other, more typical comic-book happenings (like FCBD). There is a kid’s corner, with lots and lots of toys (some adorably creepy) and a nice selection of kid-appropriate comics on display, too. Just considering comic-related facts, here’s what you’ll find: a good, broad selection of new comics, a lot of long boxes dedicated to back issues, a small selection of older comics (Bronze Age, a few Silver), a lot of shelves for an interesting mix of trades and hardcovers. There are sections for manga, Harry Potter books and toys, Star Wars comics and books and toys, and sci-fi books, and horror books (naturally), and posters and DVDs. There are a few pinball machines, too! If I were a kid who lived near this shop, I would be hanging out here all the time! They would have had a lot of trouble getting rid of me at closing time. When I visited recently, I stayed a lot longer than I intended. I didn’t play pinball, but next time…

Absolutely love this place. Staff was super friendly and didn't mind me taking a good amount of time to look around. I wound up only buying a Funko Pop, but only because I didn't have enough money for more stuff. This place is a haven for any horror enthusiasts, comic book lovers, and lovers of anything occult. I will definitely be returning and buying more stuff!!

This place is pretty awesome! From comics and toys from your childhood to oddities like specimens in jars, this place has tons of things to find and enjoy. Employees were very friendly and the music on the overhead speakers was killer!

This place is so darkly amazing that it's where the orange-and-black soul of Halloween lives in the off-season. And there's even a sizeable manga section. Not only do they have an amazingly large collection of back issues, but they're the only comics shop I've seen that has a sizeable horror back issues section with stuff like brutal viscera-flecked issues of Crossed to classics from when new comics cost 25cents. Which fits, given the awesome horror-punk decorations everywhere you look. Every twitch of your eye catches an art piece that lets you relive your best moments of fun-filled fear. Which is why, when you visit, you need to check out the art display cabinets near the figurines. Black and gold alpaca skull lamp. Far out! The owner is definitely awesome, too, an easy-going artist bud who makes you feel welcome the entire time. Definitely coming back soon to take a closer look at those horror comics.

Clean nice place with a great variety of new issues not bagged and boarded and many many back issues that are all bagged and boarded. Loads of Figures and all manner of collectibles. Vision has a pinball machine a play area for kids and MOST IMPORTANT- really good pricing and a very friendly and helpful man inside! If you a collector and you have not been here, you owe it to yourself to drop by.

Better run to here. Prices are great, amazing selection of comics and toys, and looks rad. This place is amazing to look at and grab the best comics. I have been here 3 times and it’s always worth the journey. The organization is amazing. The prices are affordable and even worth a $150 haul with and without a sale. Never really had an issue with price checking. If you go here frequently they always have a “recently arrived” comic table in alphabetical order so you don’t have to always go through the main boxes. Even then, it seems like they always have someone who reorganizes the comics. The wall right across the entrance has all the newly recent released. Trades are adjacent to the wall. Their decor is always changing up every visit. Worth visiting and spending the money here, I’m about to make this place my usual visit, even if it is a few minutes away from my usual.

Very cool and eclectic place. Has that 80's comic/metal vibe and is awesome. Great selection of comics and vintage toys. They also have some very cool/creepy decor, masks, and clothing. Excellent collections here, I grew up in the late 80's/90's and felt like this place had everything my older brother loved and grew up with, plus a ton of stuff from my generation(there's plenty of newer stuff too). Staff was helpful and friendly and prices seemed fair all around the store. Excited to make it back here, highly recommended!

Fun place to go for nerds, horror fans, and those interested in the macabre. Huge selection of comic books and collectible toys in the front. Vintage clothing, wet specimens, and fun customized items can be found towards the back of the store. The owners are extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

My favorite shop. Comics, fantasy, horror, and sci-fi. They have crazy merchandise from floor to ceiling. Staff knows the customers by name and Chris keeps the prices reasonable so third-sellers like myself can make a dollar. Also have vynil, books, board games and oddities. Get to vision and look around. You won't be disappointed.

This place is really cool! We were vacationing in Denver and stopped at several comic shops, this was the coolest and most friendly of them all. Staff greeted you upon entry. They have a good selection of back issues, that are appropriately priced, and lots of other "nerdy" goodies. I am a niche collector so they did not have anything on my want list, but that is not their fault, everything they had I had LOL. This is the kind of local shop where I would like to leave some money at. My son got some cool earrings and a couple of other little items, and also says this was the "spot" of all the ones we visited. If you are local or visiting, add this place to your comic crawl.

I love the local artist area he has set up, and hes such a chill guy to talk with. He has a large variety of comics, including horror comics. His prices are amazing, and given the fact he's the only person working there makes how much new stuff comes to the floor that much more impressive.

I met this interesting man named Chris who owns the store today, a store I have passed by millions of times since I've been in Colorado and today I stopped by and my mind was blown away by the many different types of collectibles offered at this location! We went there just expecting comics and maybe some funko pops but were beyond delighted to find "oddities" means horror collectibles, taxidermy, tons of local artist fare, alternative clothes, and more. If you love horror, goth, creepy, or otherwise truly odd things you'll love this place. Someone going with kids and a traditional x-tian mindset may faint but they've got plenty of places in the world to shop so oh well. Definitely going to visit again and again. We got so many cool things and had great convos with all the staff. Looove.

The guy who owns and runs Vision is a really cool guy who remembers his customers so you never feel like you're just another transaction to him.

Wow what a cool place! My sister and I took my 7 month old to the haunted Hogwarts halloween event they were having. I didn't expect much but was presently surprised with everything they had going on inside. Games, live characters, drink/potion making station and lots of freebies. We got good deals on some merch too. Very nice people. I'll definitely check this shop out before going to Amazon when I'm looking for anything character related again.

Best comic shop in my opinion. Always have an event or special guest and Jeff, the owner and comic book savant, will always chat you up. The staff are all welcoming and helpful and the store has that old comic book shop feel, with a bit more room. Nothing feels cluttered or messy. The entire store is great. Friendly staff and great selection. I love that along with comics there is vinyl, clothing, toys and some great horror related stuff. Ever want a pair of slippers that look like they were made from the book of the dead? I know where you can find a pair! A comic book shop on this end of the metro area was very much needed and I am thrilled that it is a locally owned small business. Great job guy's!

This store is badass. It has a punker, rocker, goth vibe, and is very kid-friendly at the same time. The guys running the store are professionals, treat their customers with respect, and they really know what they're doing. Mile High Comics who? The Mile High Comics guys are kind of rude, and they left huge gaps in my collection... I'm loving this store. Oh, and they have cool events!

Great comic shop with some ancillary aspects, such a a small concert space and a costume selection. Both owners are happy to help and generally friendly. The events are varied and daytime events are family friendly. Very community oriented, too.

Very cool shop with tons of comics, and lots of themed merchandise. From star wars to marvel and everything in between, there's action figures, statues, posters, board games, and plenty of oddities. They have everything you need to decorate your home in "human" skin furniture (made locally, of course). Great selection of artist prints, lego figures, . One thing that I loved about the collectibles here is that I felt many were very reasonably priced. In other collector style stores, the merchandise that was priced here about $25 to $40 range would be $50 to $75. You can come in with $2 and walk out a happy customer here. The co-owner was very friendly and answered all my questions. I was only in to browse at the time, but I will definitely be back soon.

This place is amazing! I just started reading comics last year and they have been so helpful, unlike the other pretentious comic book stores in lakewood. I live maybe 10 min away from a competitor but I travel an additional 15 just to go to this store. Also the owners are super into metal and hardcore music which is an added bonus Im inlove with this store!

If it's not the best one in Colorado for atmosphere and browsable selection then someone point me in that direction. Chris (owner) nice, helpful and always available to point out something you might have missed. Also has several Pinball machines, a couple of rotating arcade games, Star Wars collectables, free soda, bottled water, playable board games, insane special events(most are family appropriate (best ones...well ...lets just say... not kid oriented), vintage collectables and comics (of course) that cover the prized golden age classics to todays edgy fringe rarities & that's just the tip of the iceberg
