Reviews of Printed Page Bookshop
Lily Chang
Printed Page Bookshop is a local, co-op store co-owned by John and Dan. This Denver, South Broadway bookstore has some ten dealers and a variety of used books, including some signed first editions. I’ve met John and some other vendors. These people love books ans love what they do. It’s a great place to go, browse, and shop.
Peyton Deal
Stumbled upon this shop walking down Broadway. Dan is wonderful, kind, and helpful. So many great books to browse through with the company of the shop dog, Izzy. Left with a friend children's book for my friend's son. Such a great experience spending time in here!
Linda Hylle
Printed Page is a well curated and beautifully maintained “pre-owned” book shop. Sections are clearly labeled and if you have questions the owners are happy to answer any questions. The day I stopped in one of the owners, Dan, happily chatted with me and helped me choose a book as a gift for my son from a specific genre. It is obvious these owners are passionate about books and and sharing their inventory with the public.

I was able to visit Printed Page for the first time today, and it was a tremendous joy. The shop is a co-op store and has shelves upon shelves of used books, from more recent releases, signed/first editions, classics, and rare books. I was able to chat with Dan about books and whatever else came up, and he and Izzy (the shop dog!) just made for such a welcoming environment and was so much fun to talk with. You can tell the people who own and run this shop have a deep connection to and love for books, and I already can't wait to return!
Julie Anne
Impeccably curated bookstore, could have spent all day here and still had more treasures to discover. The children’s books were especially fun to peruse and I found some great vintage gifts for little ones in the stacks. My husband was captivated by the Colorado and Native American Peoples section. And Dan and the shop dog Izzy were so welcoming. We will be back soon!

This is a lovely place to find used books. We have wonderful service each time we are in and always find a new book to treasure. The staff are knowledgeable and incredibly friendly! We are always greeted upon entering and asked if we need bottled water. We intentionally go in each year for Small Business Saturday in November to support the store. This year's BIG treasure is a large book on dogs!

We recently moved into the SOBO area. We have explored many places on South Broadway. This charming bookstore has many options for book lovers. The store has multiple sellers with a variety of books. The store is clean and well organized. The specific book we were looking for wasn't available, however, the staff is very helpful and said they would notify all sellers in the store and would contact us when it becomes available. Such helpful staff! They offered us a bottle of water and ensured our visit was exceptional. We will definitely visit again! I encourage anyone who loves to read visit this store! There are comfy chairs to sit in as you review their books. For a "used" bookstore, all the books were clean and in great condition!

Every time I've been by the shop, I have received excellent service, and I get the sense that Dan and his staff (plus Izzy, the bookshop dog!) are genuinely kind folks. They are also extremely knowledgable about books. The shop is quaint and warm and has an amazing selection of old and new titles--some of them very eclectic, which I appreciate--and a wonderful collection of rare books. This shop is not to be missed if you love books.

We just left this wonderful book store with an amazing collection of used books. If you're looking for elegantly bound hardcover classics that also make your bookshelves look distinguished and beautiful, this is *the* place to get them. Not only are there many separate books of matching style to choose from to decorate your shelves, but also brilliant matching sets in fantastic condition.
Printed Page also has many newer used books, both hard and soft cover, at great prices. Whether you know what you're looking for or not, there are many great options in this shop. The differing fiction and non-fiction genres are well organized and a pleasure to peruse.
The shopkeeper and shop dog Izzy are both friendly and helpful (the shopkeeper helps you find what you're looking for, the shop dog helps your brain release endorphins).
Sofia Mickel
An absolute gem. First of all, there's a shop dog who's super well behaved. There's, of course, a great selection of pre-used books, but also a large collection of beautifully bound nicer copies, including some signed first editions. The shop has a lot of charm, and the owner was very friendly. It's a must visit for anyone who loves books.

Printed Page Bookshop is the Cheers! of the Denver literary scene. As Shakespeare and Company is to Paris, Printed Page is to Denver. You will be warmly greeted by owners Jon Franzen, Dan Danbom, and bookstore dog Izzy. It is a South Broadway shopping district landmark and destination where you can easily lose the cares of the world among its books on a huge range of subjects and its many fiction stories. Jon and Dan carry on lively conversations and you may end up as a character in one of the chapbooks they occasionally publish!

"Book angels" is how I describe owners, Dan and John. They gave me guidance clearing a friend's storage unit that held 140 boxes of books for the last 16 years. Their patience, kindness and love of books is matched by their generosity and lovely sense of humor, along with their brawn hoisting heavy boxes! Feels like I have forever friends and kindred spirits even from my home in Michigan. Any future trips to Denver will include a stop at their shop. If you live in Denver, you're lucky to have Printed Page Bookshop in your backyard.
Delilah Hinman
The staff is so friendly and helpful! I love each curated selection of each seller's section, such a variety of books. A cozy atmosphere and I never fail to find an intriguing book.
Jim Hart
If you love books, you're within 100 miles of Denver, and you haven't visited The Printed Page,... What's wrong with you?
Izzy alone is worth the visit, and Dan is a delightful and welcoming bibliophile.
I highly recommend The Printed Page.

Good selection; clean; organized. A nice place to step out of the city and find a new friend to read. Shop dog was a bonus (she likes her shoulders rubbed.)

I happened upon this bookstore as I walked down Broadway one beautiful summer day. Discovering the Printed Page Bookshop was the best part of that day's journey. I now make it a point to visit as often as I can. The selection is vast and the owners are exceptionally kind, thoughtful and helpful. I always walk out with some sort of treasure.
Here are a few photos I have taken. I most sincerely cannot recommend this bookstore enough. Stop in the next time you are in the area. You will be glad you did.

There seem to be two kinds of used bookstores. There are the messy, crowded shops, overflowing with books and magazines of all shapes and sizes, often too many to count. And there are the neat-as-a-pin shops, with all the books organized and carefully placed and nearly uniform. The Printed Page is mostly a bookshop of the neat and orderly kind, but there are a few touches here and there of an opposite sensibility.
That perhaps should be expected, as the Printed Page is actually a joint operation between fifteen or so booksellers. It is a small shop, housed in a converted home, and the shelves are snug. It's quiet and cozy. There are books you'd expect (folio editions, military history, thrillers, poetry, mainstream hardcover fiction) but there are surprises, too, such as the odd Big Little Books under the front counter and the original art throughout the store.
Their motto is "Cool Books, Warm People." I was certainly given a pleasant welcome when I shopped there. I was actually determined not to spend a lot of money, and I didn't... but I did come away with a number of prized books that I had been after for some time.
Dr. Marc Thomas
I purchased some books here a couple weeks ago. It was a great experience. They had a good selection and the prices were reasonable. Definitely will return.

Get ready to feel the feels. My father was an avid lover of the classics. After his passing, I was determined to find a used copy of his favorites: the old man and the sea. But I didn’t want to search for it. I wanted it to find me. 6 months after his passing, I stumbled upon a copy at this bookshop. Literature is so cathartic, forgiving, and unconditional. Printed Page Bookshop showed up for me, when I needed it the most. There is heart, passion, and serendipity here. If you can’t find what you need. Then you are not listening for what calls to you.
Kyle Giddings
This bookstore is everything a book lover wants/needs. They have well versed staff who are generous with their knowledge. I will return to Printed Page over and over again.
Tanner DiBerardino
Cozy atmosphere with a unique selection of books. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Could spend all day here, definitely recommend.
Marki Nieporte
I almost walked by this store without even noticing it until my friend pointed it out and we went inside. I was having a hard day and needed some cheering up and immediately when I went in I was greeted by the sweetest pup and immediately knew I was in the right place. The books are all beautifully taken care of and such an awesome range of current releases and nostalgic books that I hadn’t seen or thought of in years. I spent at least an hour in there getting lost in the stacks, showing my friend books i loved, books i remembered from when i was a kid and books that sparked very specific memories. The overall vibe of the place is just what you expect from a local bookstore. Warm, classic and welcoming. I talked with Dan for a bit and he said he’d be on the lookout for specific books for me and also sent me a personalized letter in the mail thanking me for stopping by which made a hard day a whole lot easier. I can’t recommend the store enough. Books are such a special experience and shopping for them should be as well. If you’re looking to support local businesses, start here.
Shane L
I had a great conversation with Dan while in the store. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. They’ve got a great selection of classics and lots of hard to find books. My only complaint is that I spend too much money when I go in!
Brianna Darnell
The best book store I have ever been to! The selection from used to new to rare books is absolutely astonishing. The owner is delightful, helpful, and patient. He also has the most loving and sweetest dog who completes the experience.
This book store is a must, even if you’re just going around to walk around, it’s such a vibe! I highly recommend.
Jessica Le
If I could give ten stars, I would. This is the best bookshop I've ever been to. Not to mention the prices are amazing and Dan and his dog are wonderful. This shop has such a warm atmosphere and I will definitely be coming back and making this my go-to bookstore. :)
MaryAnn Lucero
I adore this little book shop. The proprietors are helpful and knowledgeable. Nice, too. If I'm looking for something specific, a book on the building of the Panama Canal, for example, they find it. I've also gone in to just browse and I always find something I can't live without.
Ryan Cumley
Amazing bookstore. Best book store I have been to in Colorado. I highly recommend this book store to anybody who is looking for a good book to read at Amazing prices. They have pretty much anything that you could think of. The Gentleman who helped us with the Marilyn Monroe books was very helpful and respectful. I would give this place 100 stars if I could. Thank you again for your great service and books.
Abby DeNezza
My favorite used book store ever!! Every time I come in I immediately feel welcome and comfortable, thanks to the owner Dan and his dog Izzy. Whether Dan and Izzy are offering you water or helping you pick out books, you will feel at home and assisted. You can tell that Dan really knows his stuff, and will be happy to chat with you about books. The selection is also amazing, ranging from newer novels to rare, well kept volumes. I will definitely continue to visit and buy books from here!!
Hunter Jones
This shop is so cute and unique. They have a mix of old and new and the prices are phenomenal. I was able to leave with an entire box of books for $175. Enjoy the nostalgia and find books from your childhood and find new ones that intrigue you now. Will be back!
Aaron Cross
This place has so many rare and signed books, every time you go in you'll find something new. The people who work there are wonderful and always willing to help.
Linda DeChow
This is a wonderful place. I searched for 50 years (yes, 50!) for the collection of Nancy Drew mysteries I read as a child. When my husband and i walked in, I was immediately impressed. This bookshop is organized, the books are obviously well cared for (a number one attribute in my opinion) and the owner is just an amazing person. I was directed to the section where the Nancy Drew books would be and there they were. I think I went into a state of shock and had to go home to think about it and my husband said, by all means go get them. He knows what they mean to me. I called the owner, Dan, he held them for me and I was able to find all of them when I went back in to purchase them. This is a long review but let me tell you, this place is a wonderful and fulfilling experience. You really need to go experience it for yourself.
Thomas Tilton
I am new to Denver and came to this perfectly charming bookstore yesterday,, May 12th. I called ahead to see if a "perfectly well behaved Labradoodle "Mochi" could join me and was told I could and did. Mochi and I settle in for a short 45 minute visit, but came away with (1) a new "go to " place for us, (2) met one of the generous and wonderful owners, and (3) had an excellent time beginning to get to know this bookstore. I recommend you going yourself to visit, browse, and most importantly give in to your "need" to purchase. Who can go into a bookstore and NOT buy??. This is a treasure and Mochi and I will return over and over. . . . .

I live in Raleigh and have never set foot in Printed Page. Yet the people in charge are the best book-store folks I know.
Months ago, I decided to get a gift certificate for my new granddaughter and Printed Page caught my eye. When Maeve finally redeemed her gift, she scored several great, classic toddler books.
She walked out of the store, took a couple of steps to the middle of the sidewalk, then plopped down to examine her books. She paid no mind to the foot traffic nearly tripping on her. Her mother coaxed her to the safety of their car.
Dan continues the connection to my family. We give each other gentle grief on Facebook. He tells hilarious stories about weirdo walk-in customers. And, he notices stuff, then shows his appreciation. He is a generous, caring spirit, and we all benefit from his love of books and deep knowledge of them.
Printed Page is a delight, one I plan to visit in person when I am next in Denver!
Ramon Zarate
What a wonderful gem of a bookstore! I found some serious treasures and could have spent all day there. I didn't catch the curator's name but she was fabulous and friendly. I also hadn't been to a book co-op before; each seller's collection here was well organized and worth exploring. I have to extend thanks and praise to the gentleman with the H.P. Lovecraft paperbacks: I will definitely be reaching out for future shipments.
Mj Younkers
Every time I walk into this lovely hidden gem of a shop I am greeted warmly. The selection of fine editions and other hardbacks is extensive to say the very least. Without question, The Printed Page is the best place to buy books in Denver! They also have rare first editions and signed editions in the glass cases and there’s always something new and noteworthy. Plan an afternoon and go browse the shelves! You won’t regret it.
Rebekah S
This bookshop is heavenly. It has an eclectic collection of rare and unusual books. The staff are SO kind and nice too. Definitely a nice spot to bop around in and pass time.
Andrea Gelfuso
Printed Page looks like a bookstore out of a movie - the shelves are packed with fascinating finds, the bookstore owner is charming and really funny, and with walls of books, a comfy rug, and an adorable dog, this place is made for browsing - and finding new favorite authors and old favorite book friends.
Matthew Mock
This is one of the better book stores in the Denver metro area. Helpful, knowledgeable owners and a real sweet shop dog named Izzy. Highly recommended!

Printed Page Bookshop is a rare gem. When you walk into the quaint shop you are greeted not only by the bountiful shelves, but the shop pup named Izzy. I was impressed by the amount of leather bound books that the shop had. I could tell the owner was well versed in book collecting and a true antiquarian when his collection didn’t stop at just one shelf or case. There were many shelves and glass cases that contained the most rare books. Some were even still in the shrink wrap. In addition to the rare books that were there, I was able to find books that are popular to the public now and also the cannon classics. Another fun feature of this shop is they have a newsletter. I was fortunate enough to snag a snippet of a past one and it has many treasures inside. There are stories and articles about anything and everything book related. I was able to learn things that I otherwise would never have known. Overall I was very satisfied with this shop and its variety of books. I am always looking for bookstore to call my own and I can confidently say I will be visiting this shop again.
Hannah Eflin
The best used (or otherwise) book store in all of Denver. Staff is knowledgable, friendly, helpful. Shop dog is an angel. This place is a gem.
Michael Crofford
The collection of books is quite impressive - lots of great literature and a wonderful history section. There is a great mix of trade paperbacks and hardbacks, and probably the best selection of finer editions such as folio / heritage press etc that I've seen in person. This store is a true gem, and also of note the prices are really hard to beat - not just competitive but in a lot of cases better than online prices. If you live in the Denver area or are visiting - please support this quality bookstore.

I am returning to Denver after being gone for more than 30 years. As my wife and I are becoming reacclimated to Denver, it is a joy to find new places and meet new people. The Printed Page is one such place. I have a love for books and for reading and Printed Page and its owners manifest all that is good about a book shop. Plenty of wonderful books, knowledgeable staff but most importantly owners and that love books and the people who read them. It is always a good day for my wife and I when we pop down to Printed Page for a book and then Capital Tea for a drink and something to eat while we read our new purchases. Great work Dan and team!
Luke Boronda
As a bookseller myself I can say with confidence that this is a fantastic bookstore. The only thing more charming than the beautiful and extremely interesting selection of books is the sincerity and kindness of the owners. If you enjoy books, do yourself a favor and stop here.
Nicholas Larche
I stumbled upon Printed Page Bookstore for the first time this weekend, and what a readers' paradise it was! Dan, the owner, and his shop dog, Izzy, sure know how to run a used bookstore. The shop was clean, well organized, and had a beautiful selection of hardcovers. You can tell that Dan really cares about his business. It's not like other used bookstores filled with mass market paperbacks and stacks on stacks of James Patterson. There's something for everyone here. I will definitely be visiting this gem again soon!
Chelsea Reinhard
The best bookstore in Denver! Exceptional collection of classics, to include ornate collectibles. The shop is staffed by the members of the co-op, all of whom are very knowledgeable and friendly. If you're looking for quality hard cover books that have withstood the test of time at reasonable prices, this is your shop.
frank fitzgerald
This bookstore is amazing! I travel a ton for work and visit used bookstores in any city I find myself in. This one is definitely one of the best. Their selection is shocking in its thoroughness. Especially considering the size of the store. Authors whose books I’ve been looking for, for years, were just sitting on the shelf, waiting to be purchased for a reasonable price.
Plus this store is exclusively used. None of this used/new, but when you arrive the shelves are 99% new. I experienced this at another local ‘used book store’, tattered covers. And even their new selections left much to be desired. But somehow the little tiny printed page had all they lacked and so much more. I really can not suggest this store strongly enough.
Also the man working there was extremely nice and helpful. Good music, too. Oh, and they have a ‘store dog’ who is so sweet and loving and meets you at the door to give you an affectionate welcome.
T.R. Wolfe
One of the best book stores in the Denver area. I never leave without finding a few gems. Books are always in pristine condition and fairly priced. Just a wonderful place to browse and purchase beautiful books.
Angel Zapata
This is such an absolutely amazing bookstore. It’s small, but has so many rare and hard-to-find treasures, and all very organized. Dan is a gentlemen and extremely knowledgeable. I found books I’ve never run across anywhere else. I will be back.
Parafrosyni Fricklefracklord
Cozy store, kind staff, and always a great selection!
I've come a few times with a friend, they definitely have great finds here!
Hadrian Sparks
My favorite bookstore in Denver, hands down. While the store itself looks rather small and unassuming from the outside, don’t let that fool you! Inside The Printed Page is a literal treasure trove of books from a wide array of genres including a sizable collection of leather-bound and antique books. The staff are always very friendly and helpful (including the shop dog!). Would definitely recommend this shop to any book lover, it’s truly a hidden gem.
Lindsay Atkinson
This is not your typical old, musty-smelling used bookstore full of junk paperbacks. Printed Page is cozy and always staffed with the booksellers themselves - knowledgeable, friendly folks. They are glad to let you browse on your own, suggest your next read or help you find a treasured antique.
L H
I love this book shop! I met one of the owners during my first visit and she was such a sweetheart and so helpful. They have a fantastic collection and a beautiful shop. I cannot wait visit again.
Mark Stevens
Great store, beautiful collection, knowledgeable owner...a must stop in Denver for any serious collector.
Eamonn Keyes
Excellently curated collection of books. Wide ranging topics and well organized. Extremely helpful and friendly staff; truly a gem of a place.
Lexie Sierra-Martinez
This store balances coziness and a wonderful selection of books without the feeling of chaos or disorganization that often happens in used bookstores. You have an incredible selection to choose from, with old, new and rare collectible books. I visited because I received some books as a gift that I consider some of the best nature oriented books I own and left the shop with even more! The gentleman working was warm, helpful and inviting and the shop dog, Izzy, made the experience all the better.
Angel Quintero
Fantastic selection of books, fairly priced and interesting collectibles. Dan (one of the owners) and his trusty dog companion will make you feel welcome, and guide you cordially through the shop. A must visit!
Danielle Sumerlin Hernandez
Beautiful space, well organized, with plenty to look at, yet not overwhelming. It’s in a beautiful old house. The person working was super kind and knowledgeable. They have a really great mix of older books and recent publications.
Zac Holland
Best used book shop I've been to in Denver. Small shop, but a really cool selection and very clean as well. Great folks running the place too.
Dr. Patti
The sign out front calls The Printed Page a hidden gem. It’s an absolute gem and for bibliophiles the best place on the planet! The collection of books from A to Z and as far back imaginable will keep you coming back for more. Treat yourself to an honest to goodness gem 💎 of a bookstore. It was worth every mile to get there!!!!! …
William Kryska
Dan is an outstanding bookseller. I bought a portion of a collection from him. very fairly priced, conservative grading (all of the books were better than described and nicely wrapped in Brodart), and excellent quick & friendly service. This was not a collection of common items, but he had excellent knowledge of the subject matter. I have collected for many years and this is one of the best booksellers I have had the pleasure to work with. Bill Kryska
Caty McCarthy
I love this book store. Every time a visit I find a different interesting old book or a favorite I can't leave without! The staff and the friendly shop dog are amazing as well. I also love their monthly newsletter email they send out as it contains interesting book and author history.
Arielle Clynes
Was a pleasure to look through the store and choose some books. The collection is organized very well and the books are in great shape. I'm definitely going back soon!
Heidi Welsch
Dan and his rescue pup help you feel like you’re walking through the pages of one of the books on his shelves. They are intermittently by your side giving gentle nudges, and the feeling like you’ve known them both a long time.
Susan L Stewart
This is probably the best book store in Denver. The books are well-organized into genres and most of them are modestly priced. But I also go there because of the people. The owner was kind and answered all of my questions. They have on-going classes and email a very interesting, fun newsletter. I can't recommend them highly enough - you have to experience it by stopping in and saying "hi."
Tyler Schmid
The Printed Page is perhaps the finest bookstore I have stumbled across in all of Denver. You open the door to the shop and instantly know you’ve come across a winner. Not only is the selection vast, but is also in great condition. The employees are knowledgeable, friendly and help to make the shop more than just a store. I look forward to visiting the Printed Page again!
Jennie Bower
I was gifted a shopping spree after the birth of my daughter, and Dan worked above and beyond to help curate a package of books for all my kiddos and even included a board book for the baby. Since we are very cautious with COVID considerations he was able to do a shop “tour” digitally and even had the option of a non contact pick up or delivery. I’m so thankful to have met Dan and can’t wait to visit the store in person! Thank you, Dan.
Phil Gerkin
I have visited the Printed Page a few times and love it. It is an old house converted into a shop on antiques row in south Denver. I have spoken with owners and employees. They know their books and their business and always have a good story or two. A good place to do some Christmas shopping if you are looking for a special gift. Great place for a sojourn.
Meg Sippel
I met Dan to have him look at an old medical atlas we have. It was not in good enough condition for him to consider having in his store, but he was super nice and gave me ideas for how to get it into the hands of others who may want it. Dan was very honest and kind and I really enjoyed talking with him. Thanks, Dan!
G Rios
Nice Owner and lots of lovely books. I bought "The Anead' by Virgo in an elegant leather bound book. He has a great selection of classics. I will visit again to hopefully pick up a copy of "The Divine Comedy"
Sheila C
Smartest guy around for knowing who what when of literary works. Small independent very worthy of support. Thanks for all your devotion to the craft of literature!
Shelley Gonzales
The Printed Page is a gem of a bookstore on South Broadway. A wonderful and diverse collection of used books, including rare first editions. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. A must-visit if you’re looking for something special for yourself or as a gift.
Thomas Schaefer
Thoroughly enjoy every visit to the Printed Page. A very diverse collection of books and all are in very good to excellent condition. Perhaps more impressive is their willingness to make purchasing books easy and economical. They are also willing to work with you to make purchasing a special book a special occassion. My children and grandchildren love getting books and they know it is special when we tell it came from Colorado because they know we went the extra mile (actually 1056 miles) to get them a special book.
Tara Roehl
This has become my absolute favorite used book shop! We use Ambleside Online to homeschool and I have found wonderful children's books here that align with our homeschool philosophy (Charlotte Mason). John was wonderful and it was so comfortable chatting while we shopped. We can't wait to go back!
Jeff Bailey
Great store with a very nice selection of books. The different booksellers involved have a great variety of interests allowing for everyone to find something they will like and treasure. I thought I knew a lot about book collecting until I attended their class. Highly recommended!
Kalin Shelby
Never have I been to a used book store with books in such good condition. Everything was organized and Sherry was so much help! If you enjoy reading this is the place for you!
Kayla Douglas
My favorite Denver bookshop! They always have what I’m looking for or if I’m not looking for anything specific I can always find something that piques my interest. Reasonable prices, adorable shop dog, friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Masha Myslovskaya
Such a great bookstore! Plethora of beautiful books for you to feast your eyes on, and great prices too. I could spend hours here! The owner and shop dog are wonderful as well.
Cory Thrall
Some of the best service I have ever received! Knowledgeable about book collecting and willing to share that knowledge with me. Very helpful in locating volumes I am looking for. They alert me when they receive books I my be interested in, something I appreciate very much. Simply put, a joy to work with.
Cate Fleming
This is a gem of a bookstore in Denver off Broadway, nestled amongst antique row. Their monthly email newsletter is fantastic - informative and entertaining - I recommend subscribing! The staff is always friendly and helpful and the stock is wonderfully varied.
Christian Kelly
This place is one of the circles of Book Heaven! The shop is small, but very well curated with a range of topics. This place is wonderful for collectors, as well as the average reader who enjoy nice copies at a reasonable price.
I was visiting Denver for the week Dan wanted to check out some local bookshops, like usual. I chose this one because they're described as one of the top 10 bookshops in Denver, and didn't specialize in new books. I avoid those when I travel because I can pick up a new book anywhere. I walked in met Dan and ended up having a long discussion about books. He know his stuff! I have a particular collecting interest and he not only pointed me toward my area, but he let me hold and leaf through a 1st edition Dickens. The set was way out of my price range, but just interacting with it was phenomenal.
After finishing our discussion and making my purchases, Dan got my information advising he might have some other books in my subject area. He sent me an email the next day with photos showing some personal stock he wa parting with. Dan is a warm fellow, extremely agreeable in coversation, and has a beautiful dog that wanders the shop. This makes so much more sense, unlike cats the dog won't jump on the page you're reading. Can't recommend this place enough.

The Printed Page Bookshop is a very special place. Located at 1416 South Broadway in Denver, their watchword “Cool Books. Warm People” sums it up perfectly. Find your way into a treasure house of gorgeous books selected and displayed with expertise, tenderness, and good humor. Philosophy and history sections are deep and wide: for example, a complete and perfect set of Samuel Eliot Morison’s A HISTORY OF UNITED STATES NAVAL OPERATIONS IN WORLD WAR II graces one shelf. The children’s corner beckons. Women’s titles, art volumes, and humor (such as MOMILIES) abound. And then there’s the poetry. Oh, my. It’s hard to walk quickly through the shop, and you can spend all the time here you like. If you need to make a quick purchase or get advice, that works, too.
If you want something to enlighten, fascinate, astonish, or delight, you will find what you are looking for at the Printed Page Bookshop.

The owner is a curator of hard-to-find gems. I found an old copy of John Hersey's "Hiroshima," a book I'd sought after for a long time. New favorite book store
Andrea Torres
I had the pleasure of stumbling across this hidden gem while visiting family over the holidays. I must say, the collection here rivals that of The Strand in NYC but the vibe is much more intimate. Beautiful shop. The owner has made a loyal customer out of me, I will surely be back every time I am in town!
Rob Levasseur
Lots of variety in this bookshop. One of the best things about the shop is that it carries mostly Hardcovers, I saw very few paperbacks.
The shopkeeper was affable, knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful. He gave me 15% off for paying cash, so keep your credit cards in your wallet!

What a great little bookstore! There is a treasure trove of old, valuable, and more modern books. The owners are really nice and welcoming. Had fun spending time perusing the books with no pressure. Definitely check it out it you like books!
Becky Jensen
Best used book store in Denver! Pristine shop with amazing selection of collectible titles. I was able to buy an out-of-print book for my mom for her birthday -- a book I had tried to get my hands for YEARS and finally found at Printed Page. The owner's knowledge runs deep, and be sure to ask him to tell a joke. He's got a million.
Sabrina Stratman
A fabulous hidden gem of collectible and used books. The atmosphere is so welcoming and kind. I love the employees (and the shop dog). You'll find some great books here, but you'll have even better conversation.
Nancy Weil
Denver has a wealth of used book stores, and Printed Page Bookshop is among its finest. I have found books here I would never have discovered otherwise - do yourself a favor and browse beyond what's been published in the last 45 days!

What a truly wonderful vibe this place has! I believe book lovers are their own tribe, so when you walk into a place like The Printed Page, you know you're among kindred spirits. If you're looking for something unique, something rare or want to focus on your favorite genre, you will find great help and suggestions. Enjoy!

This is a great little bookstore, full of treasures from the past, waiting to be rediscovered. I can't understand why another reviewer complained about the menu since the Printed Page doesn't serve food. Just food for thought, maybe. But a good place to check out and hang out while in Denver.
Alyssa Haskel
Had such a lovely experience visiting this afternoon for some holiday shopping. It was so great to meet John and I'm excited to get the monthly newsletters!

Printed Page is a book lover’s dream. I could spend all day looking through the terrific selection of offerings. It’s a warm & cozy place where no one feels rushed, a little oasis in an otherwise busy & noisy world. I highly recommend it.
Michael Daniel
Small independent bookstore selling a variety of interesting titles and rare books. Fun to browse. Very helpful. Definitely worth a look for true bibliophiles.
Cherry Trimble
The only problem I have with this store is that it is in Colorado and I am in Georgia! Fortunately, I have family in Denver and so I can visit from time to time. Always enjoy browsing their offerings (especially the children’s books) and chatting with the folks there.
Jerry Boughton
I am not a big fan of the small store/restaurant type of shops. It seems like they have a limited menu and are usually pricy
This shop had good food but it was definitely not fast food and I feel it was pricy.
They had an interesting selection of books. The prices for the books was about what you would expect for a small store.
I see from the reply post that I had the wrong store. I apologize to the Printed Page Bookshop.
Melissa Colebank
Second time in and second purchase made. We live near here, and love being able to walk to a local used book store with incredible collections. The owners are friendly, helpful, and present a no-pressure atmosphere to browse and explore. We will most certainly be back again and again.

Dorothy Brown
I always bypass the upstairs section, which is usually packed, and head straight to the basement to check out the used and overstocked selection. I've found a lot of cool things down there, but the prices could be a little lower ($10 for a used paperback?? seriously?). Still, a necessary stop for any Denver Square excursion.
Wayne Johnson
While in Denver to visit our grandkids doesn't always leave much time to biblio-shop, but Printed Page is the one to visit. Their wide variety seems to match my interests and their prices seem quite fair.
Barbara Berv
I’ve been to the shop a few times and always find something unique and wonderful. One of my favorites was an an antique book of nursery rhymes and lullabies to give to a new grandma. She was brought to tears!

The lady was very helpful in what I was inquiring about on my magazines. And even looked up some of the words and ads in the magazines because they were in German. We had a good laugh at the end.

After wandering in to this small but well organized book store, I slowly realized how special it was! I could spend hours in here. The woman at the desk was helpful but not intrusive, and was also a fountain of knowledge!

Printed Page is a tried and true used bookstore who provide great service. The owner and staff are friendly. They came through when I was searching for brodart covers to preserve some hardcover books; several of the bookstores I called in Denver did not know about them, did not sell them, and only one referred me to this shop. A true gem and sweet shop dog too:)
