I like that this store offers a variety of books and things, from Naruto plushies to Harry Potter mugs to mangas to jigsaw puzzles and vinyls. They also have an area for kid's books and to buy back books, which is super cool. It was so much fun going round and seeing what was available. I'd definitely visit here more often.

This store has the biggest stock of everything! They have books, films, toys, gadgets, you name it! People bring in stuff for the store to sell so the store has obscure books and films at great prices! If it is the holidays this place is a must as there are so many possible presents. 5/5

Really liked this place. Huge store with incredible selection of new and used books and other assorted media. The store also sells a nice selection of toys, games, collectibles, and even guitars. An area toward the front left of the store is devoted to buying customer items for store resale. I enjoyed this fun place and will definitely be back.

They do buy your old books, movies etc. but Im not sure its worth it. You get more if you take store credit over cash. The used items seem over priced to me. The employees are helpful and friendly. There is lots of stock and the place is well organized and signage is plentiful to find what you need.

The store was really cool and had lots of neat things. Some hobby type stuff D&D, Funko Pops, things like that. My wife and I were there to look at their vinyl records and unfortunately they were all out of order and not in the right categories. Also, thought their prices were kind of high for used records. Even the new records were around 27 to $35 which didn't seem worth it but to pay $10 to $15 or more for a used record seemed silly. Unfortunately, we left there empty-handed.

Came here to scoop out. They have an extensive amount of manga selection. I like that they have options to sell books and other items for cash or store credit. Kids will probably utilize this option to pick up items here. If you are looking for a place with a variety and up to date mangas, check out this place.

Soo many good books. Some are used but the quality is brand new. I like that there's video games and instruments being sold as well. They've even got music CD's, movie DVD's, and vinyl records. Very cool store to shop or just pass time. Staff is super helpful too. Very kind and are just as excited about the books as you are.

This is a great place to take old books, DVDs, and old gaming systems. You can also buy the old books, DVDs, and gaming stuff. Of course, it has a lot of new of the same stuff along with some fun stuff. You can buy vinyl records and turn tables to play them. Kinda neat!

I love this place great selection of video games and books and anime. I saw some people trading in some stuff and it seemed like they are pretty fair on their trades. They also have a good selection of music and movies. I highly recommend this place they have I think three locations in the metro area.

Staff are friendly, but this is not the best 2nd and Charles store, especially considering a lot of their used stuff seems to be pretty disorganized. They have quite a bit of inventory, but their DVD collection is always a mess, and pricing seems to be all over the board. I've seen the same movie, same format, priced 3 different amounts. I've seen games and figurines that are over double what they're worth on Amazon or eBay. BUT I've also found some really good deals too. This place can be a mixed bag, just wish they were a bit more organized and consistent.

They had a great selection of used books, all shelved intuitively by subject and author name. I purchased 5 books for just over $43. What a deal! Don't go to chains like Barnes & Noble, look for gems like this instead. I highly recommend this book store for any thrifty bookworms wanting more books for their buck!

While I really enjoy this store I try to only check it out every couple of months. I come here mainly for video games and as the years has passed their stock has seemed to gotten smaller and smaller. Any of the rarer and harder to find stuff always seems to be the same or just doesn't move as much. Despite all that I still enjoy this shop and while I may not always leave with something, the people I bring with me always seem to find something to take home. So do be sure to check it out if you haven't before.

Awesome space for anyone who's into pop/nerd culture to find great deals and get an eyeful of interesting and fun objects. From action figures to movies, books, and video games. There really is something for everyone. A nice bonus was having a great interaction with the cashier on our way out who gabbed pleasantly with us about the blu-rays we were buying. Some problems to expect going in: Organization leaves a lot to be desired, especially in the movie section. Be prepared to spend a lot of time there looking through everything to make sure you didn't miss what you were looking for. The condition of the used books is also dodgy and in most cases is on par with what you can find at a thrift store, but unfortunately priced much higher. You can find good deals, but it takes some work on your part. At the end of the day, 2nd & Charles is a great place to shop if you have a lot of time and patience. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would, but the cashier's friendliness kept me from going the other way on it.

You'll have just as much fun exploring the store seeing what they have on offer, and when you find what you're looking for it's a rewarding feeling to have. Note: it's important to bring your own bag since this is a green store, meaning no plastic bags at checkout.

Great spot, found some real good stuff in there, wish they had more vintage game consoles though. For those who don't know, they're a mix of a thrift store and a regular store so they have new and used items. The selection is better than a goodwill but the items will be priced more to what they are actually worth, so more likely to find something good, but if you do it won't be dirt cheap.

It's a clean, quiet environment,with 1000's of options. There are full price and discounted/ re-sold books. The store almost shames Barnes and nobles for what it is. You can sell and trade as well. There also a lot of random accessories from Funko POP to Gameboy games. So stop by if you're into a massive variety of stuff.

The store has quite a mix of products and gift ideas...so long as you're not looking for sporting goods or outdoor rec stuff. There are new items, but much of it is second-hand. I don't go there all the time, but I actually love the place. They're pretty organized but it's not a glitzy shop. The location is pretty convenient if you live in east Metro and there is plenty of parking.

Customer service is normally non existent and if it is it definitely isn't helpful or kind. The CD's and vinyl are why I come here and they are constantly in dissaray. They need alot more organization for their offerings and accountability for their employees that actually deal with the general public. There have been several occasions where employees have snubbed me off and have been downright rude. Instead of pushing those ridiculous magazines, why not teach them to upsell a membership where we can actually earn points towards rewards rather than sporadic sales texts that happen the day of which normally people who work cannot attend.

I discovered this place sort of by accident but I will be going back often. It doesn't look that big from outside but their used book section is about the size of a small library. They have games, movies, musical instruments. I could go on and on. Check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

My family and I love this store. There is something for everyone and I always come home with more movies than I intended. Some areas that could use improvement - 1) Pricing is pretty inconsistent, even with the exact same item 2) Books can be difficult to navigate. They have everything broken down into sections and fiction makes sense, organized by author's last name, but some of the non-fiction seems to be organized by other methods that are neither clear or explained 3) Would appreciate a broader range of subjects in non-fiction books, specifically occult. There was an excess of Christian centered literature but little else. They had a table labeled Wiccan and Divination that contained mostly tarot decks and that was it Overall it is a great store and I always look forward to visiting

Tons of things to look at here. Sometimes you can find a great deal. Tons of comics if you're into the already saturated market. Not really sure if you can pick up rarities because I don't collect them anymore. They used to have a lot more games but recently their game shelves have been taken over by Pops figures. I always love looking at the clearance stuff because I always find something I can't resist buying. The free bins aren't there anymore. That's a bummer. Picked up quite a few things there over the past couple of years.

This is the friendliest staffed and most awesome store in the Aurora area. I routinely come here and find gems. One of my favorite stores in Colorado. Tons of used games. I get a lot of old Playstation 1&2 games from here. They usually have some pretty good used console deals. I picked up a functional N64 with controller here a while back and it still works so they definitely have some good quality control before anything hits their shelves. To the best of my memory, I haven't had a single used game not work when purchased from here and I've got a decent library. Then the books. My word. Books for days. Be it manga, graphic novels, fiction, non fiction, or how to books, this place has full shelves of inexpensive literature with some timely classics all in at least fair condition or better. I'm a regular customer and will continue to be so.

Great store for used media! So hard to find used bookstores anymore. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Selection of books is extensive with just about every genre of fiction and non-fiction available. I wish they carried more new/used electronics but I'm a electronics junkie and wish the grocery stores carried more tech.

We always like going here and seeing all the new things they have in stock. You won't get much turning in things like books, and store credit is double the cash value, so there may be some slight rip-off for trade in, but it's not too bad. My biggest complaint is the organization with the books. It's very hard to find anything quickly, even with the handy aisle guide. All in all it's a nice place to visit and get some neat merch.

I was very excited when I discovered this book store. I brought in enough books to fill 3 of their tubs. I ended getting maybe 1/3 back but for the rest they obit offered about $15 in cash or $28 in store credit. So they don't give you very much at all for your books. But they do have a ton of cool stuff not just books in the store. I definitely will go back to shop but I won't be bringing anymore books to sell there.

I'm from Salt Lake City where the only used book store has been forced out to make room for more restaurants. I was thrilled to find 2nd & Charles! The place is huge, well-organized, and full of unique items. It's much more than a bookstore and well worth the time to stop. The employees were very nice as well.

If you are looking for required reading books, shop here. Are you a fan of "Game of Thrones" or "Harry Potter"? Love "My Little Ponies," "Alice in Wonderland," "The Walking Dead"? Shop here for all of those in book form, movie-form, or as a toy. Do you just love used book stores or book stores in general? Shop here! They sell so much it's easy to spend an hour there and still not see it all! Everything is reasonably priced and a thrill to find. I would recommend this shop for all your book-loving needs. They truly are incredible!

Beyond vague aisle names like "2A" and some very small signs at the ends of the aisles, it is difficult to tell what books are held within the aisles. It took me 15 minutes to find the Neil Gaiman books. They have a great selection of interesting odds and ends like N64 video games, anime plushies, and board games. They also have a dismal and rather repugnant CD section, which really should just be taken out entirely since it is comprised of obscure and random artists the majority aren't likely to know. I was initially dazzled by all the store appeared to offer but upon closer inspection, things were disorganized and hidden gems were few and far between. P.S. you must either use a reusable shopping bag or carry your items by hand.

If you are a true book lover this place is where you need to go. They have new and used books and to me it felt like I was walking into my dream of endless books. They also sell comic books, video games, and instruments. I thought this was a great little store. I'll definitely be back!

Basically an updated Barnes and Noble IMO. Not as much used stuff as the marketing would have you believe but a super wide selection of every type of media. Movies, cds, vinyl, toys, board games, video games, etc. chances are they have the thing you’re looking for. That said, not as easy to navigate or nearly as quiet as a Barnes and Noble. Don’t plan a relaxing book with a coffee here. Geared toward younger people but really neat stuff if you’re willing to look for it!

This is like Barnes and Noble, but with mostly used books. They have new books, games and unopened items, too, and possibly the largest collection of new Harry Potter themed items for sale that I've seen outside of the Universal Studios Wizarding World shops. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I managed to sell a book of mine for store credit, but they also offer cash. I could probably spend a whole day there, geeking out, but I do wish they had an online catalog to look up inventory. Perhaps the trade-in guys have a database, but it would be helpful to have that on the website.

It's a fun and surprisingly affordable store. Thousands and thousands of cheap books. Lots of cheap movies and CD's too. And when I say "cheap" I don't mean they're the type of movies and CD's that nobody has heard of, lots of well known products that would cost way more at any other store. Only a few things that I don't like. 1. When you walk into the store you are greated with an insanely strong scent that honestly has made me cough a few times. And 2. It can be very difficult to find things considering that there's so much. Specifically in the movie section, all the movies are supposed to be in alphabetical order yet they all get mixed up. Still love this store though.

You have to pay attention to what you are shopping for. Most of the used books are great deals, but be careful with the DVDs and Blu-rays. Many times the used ones can be found new and for less money on Amazon. That said, you are more likely to find some hard to find movie or CD here, so it is definitely worth checking out. There are also new books mixed in with the used ones so you need to make sure you grab the right one. On the whole, I am glad this place is around, but I only go in once or twice a year. A large part of this is because of the very weird smell. Whatever scent they intentionally pipe in there gives me a massive headache. I thought most retailers were past that by now. I'm also not too thrilled that they don't offer bags for your purchase. I had forgotten that and when I asked for one the last time I was there I was told in a fairly smarmy voice, "we sell our bags."

At checkout the cashier discussed Goosebumps with my son and made him feel very cool and grownup (he's a little guy) and I appreciated that :) It's a great store with tons of used and new books, toys, records, and games. Get this they even have a Free area along with great discounts on used stuff. Along with new. It is a great place not weird or junky. Very clean, organized and fun to shop. This is like a hidden gem, you need to give it a look I highly recommend! Records is a newer area. Reminds me of the good ole record store but much better! They are big and there's something for everyone I guarantee.

If anyone has been to the East Coast, this store is very similar to BAM. There are tons of new and used books that are priced very well. You can find great deals and sales. It is a great store if you have no idea what you are looking for, and could settle for something that you may not have heard of. But if you are looking for something specific it can be a nightmare, you may not be able to even find where it is supposed to be in the store to see if they have it. Then if they do and they have multiple copies you need to look carefully because odds are they are differently priced. You also should have an idea of what the price is for the item that you want because you might be getting a good deal or it might be more expensive then from somewhere else. TL;DR Good store for random finds or occasionally the thing you are looking for.

Nice selection of both new and used books and movies... The real gem was the fully intact used games section. I found a used Scrabble game for $30 that I could only find online for $60. Only complaint is it can be difficult to find books sometimes due to how their collection seems too shift so much.

They have multiple comfy sitting areas to read and they have something for just about everyone here including: a musicians area, records, expansive movie section (including some titles for $1), comic books, graphic novels, new age, fiction, non-fiction, kids, inspirational, how to sections, video games, knick nacks, foreign or unique candies/snacks, and more! the staff is very friendly and they do trade ins and have a free section. Their prices are dependent on how many copies they have of a title so if you see a title you like look around at multiple copies of the same title and you may be able to find that title for a lower price!

I loved this place! I happened to walk in when they had a buy 3 get 3 sale. I walked out with 18 good books for $40. The only thing that kind of irritaed me was some of the shelfs were messy. I wasn't sure if they were moving stuff around but I went back a few days later and they were still messy. Over all this was the best store I went to while I was in Aurora. Wish we had this store in Phoenix!

This store is a second hand store but they excel at having up to date new merch for all your favorite shows, from the latest Rick and Morty and Game of Thrones seasons to classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and original in box action figures for Batman, Superman, Zelda, Barbies, etc... (i bought my first Barbie, a Galinda version from the original wizard of Oz for $20. The lowest i can find it being sold online, is $60. 👍) Even if you are just bored this store is a pleasure walk, through a treasure trove of entertainment!

Great place. Staff is mostly friendly and attentive. Much of what is in the store consists of cheap, Chinese imports. However, there is a large selection of quality goods, mostly in the way of trade-ins. I can say that prices are well researched. Often, the store places the prices at or sometimes, slightly below ebay prices. This is a great thing as a consumer! On top of that, I have dealt directly with 2nd and Charles to sell my publications. I was able to work directly with the managers and had the store buy my books outright, to display them in a, "local authors" section. While I'm grateful that 2nd and Charles seems to run a reasonable business, I cannot imagine them continuing to do this or staying in business for long with their kind of overhead.

The books were very disorganized (it seems like they couldn't make up their minds about sorting by title or author so you have to walk all over to find the correct book), and some of the staff don't seem to be too knowledgeable on books. I asked if they had "Little House on the Prairie" and the gentleman (very polite, by the way) had no idea who Laura Wilder was and tried to give me an entirely different book, but we didn't eventually find it after some searching. He was also very confused by the sorting I mentioned earlier. I also did find a few books that were obviously used (tattered pages, bent covers, well worn spines, etc.) that were being charged at regular price, which I am guessing was a small oversight. Overall, a very decent selection and friendly, readily available staff.

2nd & Charles is probably one of the best stores in the entire Arapahoe Crossing shopping center, and is easily a much better replacement than the 'Borders' store that previously occupied the space it's located in. There's a great selection of just about anything you could imagine; Books, Comics, Mangas, CD's and Vinyls, Movies, and especially video games. All of it is priced pretty fairly too. The staff here is real helpful as well, and they're usually really good at finding something specific I'm looking for or any other questions I may have. Word of advice, if you're looking for games for any systems older than PS2/Xbox/GameCube, you may be better off looking at Game Force or Doc's Video Games, but otherwise the selection of games they have is honestly pretty stellar.

While it's no Hastings, but Hastings isn't even Hastings anymore, 2nd and Charles does an excellent job of delivering new and used media to the public. The comic section is excellent, and if you have an ancient video game system there is simply no better place in all of South Denver to find new games and peripherals. You may not find exactly what you're looking for, but you'll find something comparable to be sure.

I enjoy their selection of used items, but their cash quotes for buying your used CDs are much lower than I expected. 42 CDs in very good condition netted me $14 dollars. That is an average of $0.33 cents a CD. The store credit would have been $30 or so, but I needed the cash. Unless you have absolutely no other option, go elsewhere (Ebay, Amazon, etc) to sell your used items. I appreciate that media devalues incredibly quick (never pay full price for music), but this was the lowest I've ever seen complete and well maintained items sell for.

There is a lot to like at 2nd and Charles. From books, new and used, movies, music and games. They will buy your old media and you can buy new or used items. I wemt in looking for a paticuler book this time and had no way of knowing what section it was in. I asked a person behind the buy back counter and he was able toblookbit up and then find it for me. Great service. I have Not sold anything to them yet but I have a garage full of books that I need to do something with. I will let you know how that goes.

I gave this business 3 stars, not because of the staff, who are friendly and polite, or their rapid system of checking book prices, or the amount of stuff, or range & quality of items they carry. All that is phenomenal! The things that brought it down. They give you a truly laughable amount for your books, DVDS, LPs, etc. Leave them at home, unless you were going to take them to Goodwill anyway. Then you won't feel righteous indignation, as I did. Secondly, THERE IS NO PLACE TO SIT, except the back of the store! What?? No, you are a bookstore. People need to look at what you are buying. Even the LPs, and they have great, pristine vinyl, with intact liner notes, (drooling over one jam session w/ Carlos Santana, John Mayall, Eric Clapton, Duane Allman--YES, I took it home with me!) I'm older, my body isn't up to speed, and I need to SIT DOWN. I have money. I want to spend it. In your store. If I'm in pain, I will leave. Your employees directing me to the back of the store does NOT HELP ME. I found a library stool thing the employees use and sat on that. Get a clue.

I have yet to enter the store because of the free book bin out front. Based on it's contents however I can extrapolate the offerings from inside. I've had to call for a ride home as I had too many things to carry after perusing that bin for a while. Even CDs were brought home that night and recently I acquired volume 1 of Mark Twain's autobiography. The planet needs bookstores and humans need to frequent them more often than buying online.

I love "second hand Charles" as my mom calls it I keep a list on my phone of things I need to look for there and some times I just go in to look.
