They have a lot of books on sale a lot of the time you can always find something for someone. It's a great place to shop for gifts they have a table near to their coffee shop it looks like a book stand that you can see through and loaded with small gifts that are quite attractive. They also have gift cards in all amounts. It's a great place to do your Christmas shopping especially for the little ones lots and lots of books.

I love this place! The smell of coffee hits you as soon as you walk in and mixes with the smell of new books and it's just perfect! This BAM is a little on the smaller side but they still have a lot to choose from!

I went To books a million to find "the closers survival guide" by Grant Cardone. I didn't find it but found "Sell or Be Sold" by Grant Cardone and wasn't disappointed the book has been a game changer to my sales game. I'm thankful for Grant writing such an amazing book and for books a million for having it. They just need more books by Grant on sales!!

I love books and I go to this location pretty frequently. They have a wonderful selection of manga and light novels in store as well as popular bestsellers. There are also games and various plushies along with some movies and novelties. Plus, the website where you can order a wide variety of things that have been out for sometime or might not be in stock.

I haven't gone toa bookstore in quite a while, but I've always loved BAM. They've changed some things around in there but I am still able to find what I'm looking for. If I can't the clerks were so willing to help. I was told they could try and locate a book at a different location and order if necessary.

Couldn't give 5 stars because of the pitch to buy a member card, etc. Not the fault of the individual location - just a corporate policy.

EDIT: after speaking with the GM of the store, he assured me that associates will be more transparent to future customers about how the card used to purchase books would be charged automatically in 2 months for this magazine subscription. Just be warned before you go in to the store to say no to the “free” magazines unless you want to deal with having to cancel 2 months after the promo period has ended. They scam you at checkout! All I wanted to do was to buy some books and be on my way. At checkout they forced me to get a “free” magazine subscription even though I said I didn’t want one. They also left out the most important part of all this is that after the “free” two months ends they automatically charge the card I used today to check out! There has to be some sort of privacy law against this! There’s no way there’s anything ethical about keeping my card info on file and sending it to another company like that. They weren’t going to tell me this until my boyfriend asked about it! What the heck kind of scam is this? Don’t go here to buy books, go to amazon instead, because you’ll come out being scammed into some not so free magazines here.

This was a nice Books-A-Million. Hopefully they can stay open. A lot of genres in here, and even the popular Witcher series, which has been sold out at Barnes and Noble for weeks. Great place to treat yourself to a new book, or to buy gifts for someone. They have a lot of books, some older used CDs, lots of magazines, some office supplies, journals, planners, niche T-shirts, Harry Potter paraphernalia, and other toys and goodies. Definitely worth a stroll through if you're in the shopping center.

Staff on hand is very nice and helpful. The store did seem to be a bit short staffed...this made some other customers angry. Even though the book I wanted was not in stock (it's a very popular book) the staff made sure I knew when it would be coming in ad gave me the number to call to check yo make sure it was there before I made a second trip. I thought that was thoughtful and considerate of my time.

Good place to study, read, and buy books. But be aware one of the cashier( a guy) will try to sign you up for some magazines and take your CC info without telling you that they will charge you after your trial. He will only tell you that you will only get magazines for free for 3 months. So don't accept no free staffs or magazines from there unless you really like these kind of thing. Thank you

Was my favorite store to shop in when I lived in the area. I would often come in just to be surrounded by books when I had a stressful day. My friends and I also often utilized the café area to play Cardfight Vanguard as well. Nice, friendly staff. Will definitely visit again if I'm ever back in the area.

Solid store. They have made a lot of changes to the graphic novel/collectibles section and dropped selling comics. I really miss the comics. I would stop by here if there was anything I missed at my LCS. The shop also has a nice collection of DVDs and blurays. I love finding a deal so I catch a few titles every now and then. My only issue is their art and photography section could be larger. I love art books and they are great on the coffee table and the section here is very limited. My only complaint!

I love books-a-million! There's something to read for almost everyone, the staff is friendly and accommodating, the cafe has a number of good options, and I don't feel rushed to make a purchase. I could spend all day in there.

I love coming here, I always find exactly what I'm looking for. Plus you can just grab a magazine and read it over buy the coffee area and the friendly baristas will treat you very nicely, as if I was a paying customer 😁 I had to dock a star though for the lack of public restrooms!?!? What's the deal? Oh well, still a nice shopping experience.

I enjoy coming here to look around. I signed up for the membership but I regret it now because I haven't visited much since I got a new job across town. Maybe it's a good deal if you plan on buying books often.

Well, it does indeed have books. It also has a small Joe Mugg's coffee shop that has some small café type foods located inside and wifi is available. There are small items to purchase from decorative items, to graphic T's, and tons of pop culture collectibles of various types. There's a comic book area here as well. (While I do enjoy comics on occasion, I don't know anything about what is considered a good comic shop vs. a bad comic shop - I can only say that comics are available here.) There's quite a large area dedicated to used DVDs towards the back left of the store, and a smaller area toward the front left for more highly sought after DVDs. The staff have always been helpful and the facilities are usually clean. I have had several times that I have not cared for the conditions of the restrooms, but that has almost always been due to maintenance issues (broken utilities), more than sanitary issues. I have frequented this location for the last decade, so no issues have ever turned me from going back. That, I suppose, speaks to the consistency this place has to not dissapoint completely in my personal experience. However, I do wish the bathroom facilities were better maintained or better yet - completely remodeled. That's my two cents.

I still like to visit the local stores but can't bring myself to spend that much extra money for the same product. I was able to find a couple of books on sale that we're good deals though.

Big book stores are essential! You can browse new authors, find magazines you'd never even heard of, and spend half your pay check on the Bargain Books tables. While online sellers are convenient, if you know what you want, Books-A-Million is there when you just want to shop.

I am a magazine junkie and they have a decent magazine selection although recently it took a turn for the worst when they decided to use half the shelf space for pre-teen and teen magazines that appear to be of the fantasy and anime genre's. I don't have a problem with the genre but from that stores perspective it seems like a bad choice as I have yet to see any young people down in that area buying those items. It also had the effect of causing them to have to pack all the other magazines that their data says do sell in half the space so it tends to always be a jumbled up confusion of magazines. In a very sad way I see this recent makeover of the Sandhill Books-A-Million as probably a contributor to a decay spiral rather than something that will boost sales. I sure hope I'm wrong but I suspect younger people more than older folks buy tablet/Kindle based versions of these items so the net result is a loss of sales to adults by giving over a large chunk of floor space to a niche that isn't self supporting in Columbia, SC.

I enjoy going and relaxing while scouring the magazines but, they are taking up any walkable space with shelfings of anything they can find. It makes it very hard to walk the main isles. It hard to find free space where your not afraid of knocking something over.

If I have any complaints, it's that I can usually find better prices on Amazon and their game selection is not on par with other bookstores like Hastings. For anything that has been released within the past few years and the classics I am certain they will have your book. If you are looking for something a little less common... You have about even odds.

This store has been a part of The Village since its inception. They offer a great selection of material and customer service is usually on point, however...they are almost constantly moving their product around on the sales floor. On top of that signage and price tags tend to be out of order because of the constant moving and the book carts are strewn around the sales floor. If you can handle the mess their product is varied and quality but PRICEY.

BAM has books on a wide selection and variety of subjects. I believe there isn't a subject that there isn't at least 2 or 3 books available. Hard cover, soft cover, magazines, newspapers, all kinds of accessories to go with any or all of these items. Thirsty?? A coffee shop available in the store itself. As a long time Waldenbooks and B.Dalton Bookseller lover, I searched for years for alternative to B&N for price comparison purposes...enter BAM. Excellent choices of books that, yes, you can sit down and read for a spell. Query items in the form of games, manga, and food snacks. Joe Muggs is not a bad coffee place. It has the usual selection of coffee, lattes, cappuccino, and fraps. I will go back.
