For a location attached to a dead mall, this is a great book store. Shelves and Floor are neat and tidy, associates are nice and helpful. The bathroom requires you to walk down a slightly creepy corridor, but is kept clean and stocked.

You know you're really going in there for that fresh new book and coffee smell! Like when you go to Lowe's just to smell fresh cut wood and flowers! Although this is a smaller B&N, they had a good selection of books and things. The only thing they didn’t have was a big selection of Calendars, which is what my son wanted to find. It seems to be an anchor store at an abandoned shopping mall and is well visited. I’ll definitely go back.

The store and cafe is always very clean and organized. It’s usually not crowded whatsoever since this mall is no longer in full operation and bookstores are a dying industry which makes it a great place to go study/work. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. There shelves always seem to be fully stocked with multiple sales usually going on at tables in the front. They have a lot of cute office/stationary supplies; some are a bit pricey depending on the brand but they carry affordable brands as well.

Coming here is like seeing an old friend. To me, it's the only reason to come to what was once known as Richland Fashion Mall. Great book selection and their Starbucks has the best peanut butter cookies. Of the two major book outlets in the immediate area, this one is really the best. Ever since the Harbison location closed this is one of my go to places to either purchase a book or to just chill with a white chocolate mocha. May your doors never close.

I so enjoy shopping at the Barnes & Noble at Richland Mall. Not only do they have a great selection but their staff is top notch! They know their books and inventory and they can always help you find what you need. They are always very pleasant and customer oriented. May they always stay here as a brick and mortar business. I have been frequenting this Barnes and Noble location for almost two years now and have never had a negative experience. Each time I visit the employees greet me warmly and ask if I need help finding anything even though they know I'm there all of the time. I start my visit off with a hot beverage and/or treat from the cafe which are always delicious without fail. The store is always clean, well-organized, and homey. While it is true that you could purchase books on Amazon for a cheaper price, I have often found that the books do not arrive as I had expected when shipped - damaged, marked on, or a different edition than what I ordered. As someone who likes to display books once I'm done reading them, I enjoy being able to pick out the "best" copy while perusing. Not to mention it's much more relaxing and entertaining than clicking a few buttons on a computer. Although it is true that the mall itself does not presently have a lot of open businesses at the moment, that has no impact on the bookstore itself as it has its' own outdoor entrance right off of Forest Dr. In a perfect world someone would purchase the mall and revitalize it, but Barnes and Noble cannot be faulted for that. In fact, I am happily surprised they have stuck around in that space for so long given the lack of popularity surrounding the building. Hopefully their persistence will eventually help draw back some business to the rest of the mall. In the meantime, I'm still happy to support them while they are here as they are the closest bookstore to me and they have never given me any reason not to. I plan on visiting many more times in the future!

We really enjoy our trips to this bookstore. My little one loves the children’s area- there are so many books to choose from and the train table is always a huge hit! The employees are really nice and are happy to help you find what you are looking for. There is a cute little cafe inside and I also enjoy buying little gifts from Barnes and Noble.

I adore this place! Please come spend your money here so they don't go out of business! It's really nice to have a book store where you can browse and have coffee or danishes. What can I say. It's a Barnes and Noble. There's a coffee shop with smiling Baristas and great coffee. There's employees always around to help you find what you're looking for. The children's section is a kids paradise and the customer service is that of people who love their job. It's what's expected of this franchise and this one gives you what you want. 5+stars

There really just aren't that many bookstores left like this Barnes & Noble. You smell coffee, the crisp pages of books, and freshly baked cookies when you walk in the door. It's a huge bookstore, with a kids area decorated just as I remember it from when I was a kid. PLUS: They still have Harry Potter parties/events that are free for everyone!

I have a membership here, and I definitely recommend getting one for any bookstore you frequent. It's harder that ever to always find what you're looking for in store but the merchant usually has what you need online and member shipping is free. Very worth it for only $25 a year if you really adore reading.

I understand everybody has access to use of the cafe, but I don't understand why some high school "classes" are being held here during the day. These classes hog a portion of the tables, leaving a few for others. However, these are LOUD high school kids. People go to the cafe to read in a QUITE space.
