Despite, being out of covid lock down, the tables and comfy seating for browsing have not returned. Diminished user experience without bookstore seating, perhaps, this is to channel you to the coffee shop.

To be honest, I'm glad that we have a bookstore here that you can go to to read and relax, the only reason it is not a five is because many of the books that I have searched for are not available at the store. For example "Alan Watts" it seems strange not to have anything from such a well known and diverse being as him.

This Barnes and Noble book store is one of the corner stones of the Billings shopping scene, it has the largest selection of books in town available for purchase and has the customer service and knowledge base you've come to expect from a Barnes and Noble experience. The staff is always happy to assist you and are all clearly avid readers. The staff is large enough that they have a wide coverage in knowledge base and are always eager to help you find what you need!

Barnes & Noble has a great selection of books, whether it be Non-Fiction, Fiction, or even Manga. My friends and I go here to browse the selection, and we often buy at least one item. They also have D&D sets along with other games. Barnes & Noble is very inviting and has a great atmosphere. Overall, 9/10 factoring selection, cleanliness, and service.

Staff is typically helpful. Coffee is usually top notch. The only disappointment is the new layout and the smaller variety of books on hand. Such as the Stephine Plum series by Janet Evanovich. They didn't have one book available. I would have had to order it.

Love to come here for the latest Stephen King book or check out the clearance racks once in a while. They don't always have the book I'm looking for but over all its a great store. The cashier was polite but very very pushy with trying to get me to sign up for their membership. I used to have one but just haven't visited recently enough to have one again. Other than that it's always a great store with awesome finds!

Very well organized. The person at the front register understood what I was looking for, clearly explained where to look, and when somebody relieved her she came over to see if I needed additional help. The store & the restrooms were clean. While they did not have what I was looking for, she offered to try and find one online for me. A very good experience!

Only time I'm disappointed is when I read a series to fast an gotta wait on the author lol, but the staff is amazing the cafe staff are super cool and good sellers. My great nephew is getting a new sibling, I thought a book about getting a new sibling would help him understand when the baby would arrive. Love the variety of books they carry. I didn't give 5 stars because it was obvious they thought I was going to steal something. Would have loved it if they came up to us, to ask if I needed help. Luckily, my best friend, found what we were looking for. I didn't let the situation ruin my day.

The building was great and no complants about the friendly staff. My only issue is that they didn't have any of the types of books I had needed and I felt like it was more or less a toy store with books Its one thing to have educational toys such as science but they seriously have an entire aisle of LOL dolls this mom just wants a store without toys I ended up leaving and just buying the books on Amazon after searching the stores website and being told that nothing was in stock

I love going into this Barnes & Noble. It's always nice to be able to hold a book in your hands kind of look at the picture, read the jacket and see if it's something you mesh with. Nothing beats a nice clean bookstore. The employees are always very helpful and they approach you asking hey are you finding everything alright and I find a pleasant experience there, not annoying, just pleasant to know somebody cares that you're looking around and if you're finding everything okay. Hopefully electronic books don't kill the bookstore completely but I know there's enough of people like me who like a physical in hand object and like to support businesses in their area.

I am a fan of books stores and Barnes and Noble. I found this location to need some work. Many books on the discount shelves had no price and when I asked an employee she stated she didn't know and walked away. I felt the prices were higher than I have seen in other locations as well.

I would probably have rated my experience worse today if I was not trying to be somewhat reasonable. I was able to get what I needed today but, had I not needed the Sparks notes today for my son, I would have turned around before walking in. As I approached the store I saw an sloppily hand written sign in front of the entrance telling patrons "MASK ARE REQUIRED" and that they would be "TOLD TO LEAVE" if they were not wearing a mask. Might have been better worded by saying that they would be "Asked to leave" I understand the mask mandate and was prepared to wear my mask but there is far better wording to request people wear their masks! VERY unprofessional and not very welcoming. I'm afraid I will likely not be returning to Barnes & Noble anytime soon.

The local store is great, however; the cancelling process is horrible when ordering online and picking up in store. For example, I ordered a board game online and decided 1 day later that I wanted to cancel the order. I called the 1800 number as well as the local store and was told there was no way to cancel the order, I was to wait until the "5 pick up days" had lapsed and the order would automatically be cancelled. Another option was to pick up the item and then immediately return it. It just seems so counterproductive and quite ridiculous to have to jump through so many hoops just to cancel a stupid order.

I have had an experience here with one of the nicest cashiers I have ever met. Her name was Mary and she gave me book recommendations and was honestly the sweetest person I have ever met. I live in Cali and was visiting my family and I needed something to read. No cashiers like Mary exist in California.

Great bookstore, friendly bookstore staff. Fire your arrogant snotty Cafe staff and train some nice people. Not once in 6 visits did they make our drinks correctly. Heaven forbid you should ask for no syrup in an iced tea or for whipped cream on a frappuccino.

Barns & Nobel I know is a big corporation, because so it's definitely missing rare or intriguing somewhat controversial books. Amazon is burning books, I hope Barnes & Noble doesn't either. The staff is amazing, talented and friendly. The locations is handy, the Starbucks there is great too.

I usually have a great experience here with great customer service except for the past 2 times. This last time being the last day of "black Friday weekend" sale, maybe their staff is just grumpy. But i went to the checkout after spending an hour looking for a special gift which was $16 coming up at $9 on their website inwhich they would NOT match but the cashier informed me that it was coming up as a buy 1 get 1 50%off if id like to get another. I rush back to the same area and grab another book i was looking at to have another cashier (who heard and was incolved in the 1st conversation) inform me that neither item was coming up for a discount and the total would be $27 but could apply a 25% discount to the cheaper book giveing $3 off... So both items got left and i will just be buying online from now on.

Lots of books and coffee! Also they sell these 3d crystal puzzles that are fun to put together. They come in different skill levels as well. I would recommend starting on level 1 til you get the hang of how they go together.

Employees are always helpful, whether to find or order a booo for you if it's not in store. Selection of books, specialty items, or gifts is very good. Their coffee, tea, and edibles are excellent, with options for breakfast, lunch, or sweet snacks to have with a hot beverage. There is an area with tables and chairs, where the atmosphere is pleasant, and conducive to reading or sharing a conversation with a friend.

Bit the simple fact of going to the book store with my kids opens up all kinds of new world's that you'll never find browsing through the Kindle store. A clean and appropriate store. I'm more of a graphic novels guy and that whole Industy is topsy turvy lately so the selection is not really for me. For all other members of my family it seemed the selection was clean well maintained and relatively diverse. I like the moderate section for board games and puzzles although I must confess most of the store is not for me.

I try to stop in every time I'm in town. I keep a list of books they fill my list & order what isn't in store. It seems everytime I'm here the lovely brunette woman with glasses is working the information desk. She has a vast range of knowledge and often knows where the books I want are from memory. She was also great help with my k8ds 10 & 7. BTW the coffee place is separate from B&N, that poor service is them. The CEO does not want the business of service members or veterans so I oblige him.

Its barnes and noble. You'll pay full price for virtually everything, anything even 20% will be treated like a massive price cut, etc. The selection is great though, you can sit and read/skim/compare stuff, they have a lot of board games, toys, collectibles/trinkets.

A good place to buy books or random gifts. Their section on chemistry is fairly limited. I reccomend going to used book stores before giving barnes and noble a visit when it comes to older literature. When it comes to modern works, this is the place to go.

Books are just great, and bless their heart for hanging in there so heroically, but I have a hard time seeing how Barnes & Noble is going to make it another two years as a company. The Starbucks serves Starbucks coffee, kinda, prepared by one person who is running a hundred miles an hour in ten directions and isn't allowed to accept tips. The bookstore sells books (actual, paper books - IKR!?) that are 20-40% more expensive than Amazon. Unlike Amazon, however, you can wait on line for twenty minutes to interact with another harassed, singleton clerk, so that's neat. In a way it's way too bad. Real bookstores were a total part of my growing up, and Amazon's basically beat them all at least nearly to death. On the other hand, a trip to today's Barnes & Noble provides an object lesson in how to not run a business when Amazon is eating your lunch. Poor, poor B&N.
