The selection is super large! I’m from out of state, so it was nice to find a large comic book store. They also had a huge manga collection, and a lot of stuff for kids! I got quite a few comics for myself and siblings. The prices were reasonably priced. I do think the staff interaction could’ve been better. Usually, when I go to a comic store, I get greeted/welcomed and have a nice conversation at the checkout or at least get ask if I need any help. I got none of that, no hello, or how are you, etc. Even at check out, I just got told my total. I don’t expect much other than a hello and maybe one check in, but to not even get that felt kinda cold. :( otherwise though, I enjoy my visit I able to just explore and check out their products. Edit: seems to be a trend in the reviews that poc get ignored :/

This place is the Mack daddy of ATL comics! lots of comics and graphic novels!!!! Staff is not as excited as you will be though. Don’t expect to be greeted or helped with anything. If your looking for some Adult comic stuff this is you place.

There are few great comic stores left. This place is the bastion for comics, manga, and culture. Thank the staff for keeping this place open. They are knowledgeable and friendly as they can be. If they don't have it, they will help you find it...or at least tell you the odds of finding it.

This place has a lot of stuff. What I mean by that is a lot of different stuff: comics (duh), CCGs, board games, tabletop games,anime, toys, statues, posters, etc. One of the coolest things to me was the old MtG packs that were for sale. I remember seeing Scourge, Nemesis, Prophecy, Guildpact, Zendikar block, original Innistrad block, and many many more. That was probably the highlight of the store to me. The main reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is the lack of old back issues. Now, before the lovers of this store get ready to take me over the coals: I know they have to be there. Somewhere. I just didn't find them. What I suspect is the reason is because I'm pretty sure these guys have been in business FOREVER. And if you've been around as long as they have, you will collect back issues. However, weeks of back issues take up an ungodly amount of space. Months' worth consume warehouses. Years? Yeah, good luck. Oxford comics and Games would probably need an airplane hanger at Hartsfield-Jackson to probably even begin to display them. Overall, I loved the store and would love to return one day to find out where their Warehouse 13 is!

Update: New website has been a godsend for me. Being able to set up a pull list and browse the store and pay before I arrive is much appreciated. Great store. Great staff. Perfect store for me since I pretty much know what I'm getting before I arrive at any store and prefer not to be bothered by customer service people. I've been coming here for about a year and buying weekly for about half that time.

Much larger on the inside! Lots and lots of manga, anime, Marvel, and DC comics and figurines. My husband and I each bought MTG card packs that wielded a few mythics (yay nerds!) The ladies at the front desk were very polite and helpful. It's a little out of the way if you don't live in or near Buckhead, but worth checking out if you're in the area. Recommended!

The pinnacle of comic book collecting in Atlanta! Current and back issues. There isn't a better selection in the city! Also, great selection of collectibles and games! You won't be overwhelmed by customer service when you walk in the door but the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help

Today was my first day going with a friend and the experience was was amazing, the store has a great variety of manga and comics for everyone to find something they enjoy as well as a more figures than you can count. I highly suggest going if you ever want to get out for the day and explore.

One of the best comic stores in Atlanta. They have a huge selection of current and past titles. You can always find action figures, statues, posters t-shirts and other merchandise that other locations just don't have. The staff is always friendly and helpful and have made suggestions for new comic series in the past. I don't live in the area, but I'll continue to stop by every chance I get!

Staff is friendly, the D&D collection is average for the size of the store. There is only a handful of dedicated gaming stores in the town I have lived the longest in. This one is pretty much exactly what you would expect from a gaming, comics and other stuff. You walk in and it is pretty much wall to wall games and comics, the layout wasn't bad, like most comic game stores this one is chaotic. With a little time though I found an adventure and bought it. This is a must stop if your a comic/paper gamer. The cool thing is there is a game stop about a mile away, so you can go get your full geek on.

Well, it's a comic book store. They don't mind sun damaging their items near the windows. Willingly let people walk in their stores with no masks. Are not too competitive against eBay pricing. They do have some very unique and old items.

I had a good time in the shop. I am not from the Atlanta area, and a friend suggested that I had here. They had a very large wide variety of nerd and geek items. From comic books, graphic novels, anime, manga, old dead card games, board games, Magic the Gathering and more. I did find the prices a little bit High. This is where I'm digging it a star, and when I already paid for a $400 plus purchase they insisted to hold on to my bag which shows they probably have had a lot of theft. Support your local shops and support this shop as well.

Great staff and a big selection. Prices are a bit high on some things, but that's how these places survive. Getting to the location can be complicated, but it's worth the effort. Can't emphasize how awesome the staff are. They're knowledgeable and fun to chat with. It's very personal and they don't push sales (which is WONDERFUL.) Been a happy patron here for over two years!

They had amazing and helpful staff. I recommend going here if you want manga, or comics, or just regular books in general! Of course they ran out of stock for certain things, but other than that, 10/10. Definitely will be my main shop to go to for manga.

It looks small outside, but when you pull into the back to park (there are only a few spaces to park out front) you will get an idea of how large this place is. When you go inside, it is spread floor to ceiling with comics, toy, collectibles, games and pop culture awesomeness. Despite being crammed with so many goodies, I found very few items that fit my collecting taste. But I do appreciate how hard the owners have tried to cover so many different bases. There really is a little of everything in here for just about anyone. Key word is little. I wish it contained more than a little for everyone-but again, how much more can they put into one store? The employees are not the most friendly. The manager was snipping at some customers for dumb things while they browsed. They were also more interested in talking among themselves than they were greeting and helping customers in the store. Normally this behavior will bring the rating down a few notches, but I was so impressed with the overall inventory and presentation that I won't let it bring down the rating as much as I perhaps should. Worth checking out. Just...beware of the ill tempered manager and the self indulged employees.

One of the most important memories from my childhood in Atlanta, and easily one of the most badass comic book shops in this region, heck probably all of the USA! I first came here when I was around 8-10 years old, and now while on a 5 month road trip around the United States, at age 34, I have returned. It was a truly fantastic and amazing experience and a confluence of childhood nostalgia, adulthood perspective, and timeless imagination that I could barely contain.

I love this store. I have never had a bad experience here. The staff have always been friendly to me, and they help me when I need it. They don't hover around me while I'm browsing, and they let me know they're available if I need it. I think that's the perfect atmosphere for a comic shop. They have an incredible selection, especially for Indies. All the comics I've bought are priced according to the manufacturer's printed price, which seems fair to me. Unless, of course, they are a rare variant. The toys are expensive, but they're collectibles, not really everyday play toys. I also buy my Pokemon cards here because they don't feel like as much of a rip off as buying them at Target, where I get the same freaking booster for every pack. I dunno, I always feel like a kid on Christmas when I walk into this store. I've been coming monthly, and am always happy for it.

Friendly, helpful staff without being pushy. Great prices on most of their stock. They have a varied selection of all kinds of geeky goodies; action figures both old and new, board games, card games, comics, graphic novels. They also have a lot of Funko Pop vinyl figurines. I recommend checking out this place if you're in the area, you'll be pleased.

I’m not a comics fan, but I just stopped by to see if I could sell a couple of old comics I found in a drawer. So, even though I’m not an aficionado in this space, I have to say that I have never seen a shop so well organized and so incredibly deep in its inventory and selection. It’s clear this is the owner’s passion and obsession and it shows. If you are even casually interested in anything comics, you owe it to yourself to visit Oxford Comics.

I guess this is a great comic book store, according to my boyfriend who likes that sort of thing. There was so much stuff when I walked in I was completely overwhelmed. I couldn't figure out how it was organized, and the employee was yelling at someone over the phone so I couldn't ask him. (Although I might have been too intimidated anyway) I ended up leaving without buying anything. If you aren't familiar with the comic book scene and don't know these things, I would highly recommend taking someone who is.

They have a huge selection of comics and comic-related items, but they also have a great selection of tabletop games. The staff there is always friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to give great recommendations.

I love this place. It's nerd paradise. It's rare to find a comic book store these days with as wide a range in selection of comics, games, toys, and manga as well as a pretty large independent book selection. It's literally awesome stuff stacked on awesome stuff. They've got a good selection of trades and always have something to keep a comic collector like me interested. The guys there are super nice and have always helped me out. There's no other place in town that comes close.

This place is very good as far as prices and selections go. Even the variants are somewhat fairly prices i would say. As far as the customer service is concerned , there is only one old guy who is helpful and nice, the rest of them are absolute brats. They loud and obnoxious, once they start discussion with their fellow nerds they will pay no attention to you or other customers and keep on talking with them. There is one tall nerd over there, you cannot possibly ask him anything unless you are completely in touch with the comic world. It barely escaped my mouth whether he knew the release schedule of a particular book, and he rudely replied, there are 4 more weeks left in this month, it'll come out. At any rate, if it weren't for few of these guys, this place would turn into an great place.

This comic book store is the godfather of all others in Atlanta. If you haven't been here at least once, you're not into comics. Variety: The variety of selection (especially in indie comics) is second to none, and I'm saying that as a 20+ year collector. There's definitely adult comics here, but if you have children, there's a separate room with kid-friendly comics and merch. Customer Service: This place is for long-time comic book fans, who mostly want to be left alone, so the staff treats you accordingly. If you ask questions, they're helpful and friendly for the most part. There's an older woman there that most people seem to dislike, so avoid her if you want, even though I haven't had a problem with her. There's also an older bearded gentleman who is very nice, but doesn't know the product as well. I'd still take my chances with him first, though - it's the power of friendliness. If you love comics, this is the be-all end-all store in Atlanta.

A lot of the negative reviews are from parents with kids or uninformed collectors. This is very much an adult collector themed store with emphasis on different niche. Anime guy? Comic guy? Board games? Figures? Indie book guy? Sections for each. I only asked for help once and it was very professional.

Oxford Comics is one of Atlanta's hidden gems. From the front, it looks like a small, one-room kind of deal, but don't let that fool you. The store extends much further than expected and has a plethora of comics, designer board games, and memorabilia. Their service has always been excellent. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable of their product, and provide top-notch recommendations on what to read next.

Best comic shop ever. Most shops I've visited have fairly snotty staffers and it's quite off-putting, especially to newer fans trying to find their way. Not so here. I've been shopping at this store for 20+ years and have seen them help out newbies time and again find the book that's right for them. No attitude. Just love of comics. I only go during evening hours, and on a consistent basis both Zach and Kevin provide outstanding service to everyone who walks in the door. If you're a new fan or a die-hard for life, this is the comic shop you're looking for.

This shop came highly recommended to me by a friend and fellow collector. I went in to this shop searching for collectibles, memories, and good times. I found all of the above. The shop keepers were helpful and friendly. The prices were fair and reasonable. I spent about a hundred bucks and literally they put together a box for me to take all my stuff out in :) The shopping was a geek's heaven. I will be going back.

Seems like this place has been getting a bad reputation, and I have no idea why. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and the place was fairly busy (between 5-10 customers in the store). Three people were seated behind the counter and the two closest to me asked what I was looking for almost immediately (a complete divergence from the other individuals who said there was no desire to help them from any employee). They were both helpful and engaging and allowed me to make a no-pressure decision on my purchase. Prices may have been a bit inflated, but for a local specialty store I was happy to pay a small amount extra.

A true Atlanta treasure. I have been coming to Oxford comics for 20 years and am always impressed with their excellent selection and clear setup. A wonderful place to find American comics, manga, anime, and all manner of figures and other paraphernalia from a wide array of fandoms. If you have any interest in comics or comic adjacent media, don't miss it! Still remains Atlanta's best place to shop for comics, manga, and various related paraphernalia. They have continued to soldier on during the pandemic and are as worthy of attention now as ever.

You can find weird old stuff that’s not in demand. Why you ask? Because the price hasn’t changed in the 10+ years they’ve had it on their shelves. Also raised the price above msrp on “in demand” items. Why pay eBay prices in a store that doesn’t really care about covid when I can use eBay at home and not encounter covidiots

Great selections for new and recently new comics, TPB, and games. Everytime Ive been in inventory is being rearranged on top of the older boxes of back issues. Staff leaves me alone but is always friendly and helpful when I ask for help.

Collection was nice. Lots of figures, comics, manga. There was an area for 18+ but honestly didn't even know that I had gotten into it to I saw a very obscure sign that said 18+,and I didn't get ided to be in that section. Enamel pins were also in there, but once again didn't notice them until I was on my way out the door. The one employee I interacted with seemed like she was done with working there, kinda rude hovered alot if you were looking at anything in the glass case that was the counter.

This place was excellent. Very friendly, knowledgeable and friendly. They were always happy to discuss the comics and if asked for recommendations based on past comics bought, they steered me in the right direction. My only regret is I moved away from Atlanta a few months ago and can't continue to go there.

I have been here and they have a really nice selection of both old and new comics. Also graphic novels by both mainstream and indpendent publishers. Staff is very helpful. Recommend driving up the northbound n Piedmont as it will be a lot easier than trying to make a left on the southbound side.Hands down the best comic shop I've seen in Atlanta so far

Oxford comics has kind of always been consistently the same thing since it showed up in the 90's. A little pricey and pretentious, but in the end they almost always end up having what you are looking for. Just be willing to pay dearly for it and realize that the guy selling it to you is way cooler than you will ever be in his own mind... That is if he even acknowledges your existence.

Oxford Comics is THE best comic book store in Atlanta. I'm always greeted when I enter, which is at least once a month. You will not find a better selection of books in the city. I've been to other LCBS in Atlanta and they may have the book you wish to pull, but the others have a low volume. On the rare occasions I could not find the issue I wish to purchase, I ask for help and immediately receive it. These guys know their books. Don't waste your time anywhere else.
