I had two different fitters before seeing Jason which was two years ago. I was having saddle problems and knee pain and it was painful to ride. Not only Jason was very thorough and technical but he was very informative about what was going on and why some of the changes are being made which I really liked. One of the plus point for me was after making those changes, he lets you ride and test the fit during the session out in the real world and I was able give feedback after the test ride which none of my previous fitters did that. The bike shop staffs were also really friendly and their service is great. It’s been couple of weeks now and I already feel so much comfortable on my bike. I would definitely comeback in the future if I ever need to revisit my fit again. I also got the custom foot beds and they are a game changer. I highly recommend getting fit from Jason.

The team at Piermont did an excellent job in fixing my bicycle. I use the bike for indoor training and needed it to be done quickly. I dropped it off this morning and they did it in a few hours. Replaced a snapped rear derailleur cable and front cable, rewrapped the handle bars and even discovered I had left a spacer off the hub, put one on, and adjusted everything perfectly. I have a fleet of high-end mountain bikes. I often do my own repairs but when I don't have the time or the right tools, I come here. Although it's mostly known as a roadie shop (they have a coffee bar ...hahaha), the mechanics always do a good job on my bikes. Turnaround is relatively quick and I never feel like I'm being ripped off. They also stock a lot of high end parts at reasonable prices. I definitely recommend Piermont Bicycles.

Mattie and the crew at PBC are very friendly and knowledgeable. We bought 2 bikes from them without any sales pressure to buy. Also had a Bike Fit with Jason and wow! What a positive difference that made to my overall comfort and riding experience. They’re all great guys to have a convo with, even if you’re not buying a bike on that day. Total bike buying experience was excellent. But writing specifically about getting professionally fit for a bike. The full fitting process took 3 HOURS! Just getting the right shoes, pedals and placement takes an hour. Which may sound insane, but this time and attention to detail makes the difference between numb feet and comfort when you ride a lot. I sprung for the bike fitting for 2 main reasons: 1) I was making an investment in a high quality bike so getting the pro fit was a fraction of my expense but well worth it in terms of selecting the right bike, right size, and right dimensions 2) I'm 45 and ride between 1-2K miles/year. I have pains - back, shoulders, hands, feet etc. Anything I can do to keep riding this much and have less pain is worth it. So far the pro-bike fit has been really helpful reducing the pain that comes from being in the biking position. The machine they use for the bike fitting is crazy. You pedal and it measures all your power etc and then adjusts while your still on the bike to optimize comfort and output. Neat gadget, but it still comes down to the expertise of the staff to get you set up and on the right machine in the right dimensions. Added bonus of the fitting - once you do it, they give you all your optimal bike specifications (seat height, distance between the seat and handlebars, etc). So if you get a 2nd bike down the road (beach cruiser, MTN Bike) you can set the new bike to your known specs. I liked that.

Despite me trying to contact the bike manufacturer, I was unable to get the piece and decided to ask Sunny at Piermont cycle for help. This was my first visit to Piermont bicycle connection; which is not my lbs, but for sure will be the place i want to go when time permits. Everyone that came in to the shop was greeted warmly, and treated well; there was a range of ages and ethnicities which I appreciate. I got a bike fit from Jason. I was definitely the only impediment to Jason doing his job as a bike fitter. I had had an unusually late night the day before, which lead me to not really being 100% the day of the fit. Despite my lack of articulation the bike fit was great. After two weeks of post fit riding: I am free of numb hands, saddle pain is no longer an issue, knee pain i used to get after an hour or so in the saddle is all cleared up. I got custom insoles which have reduced the hot spots in my shoes and made them infinitely more comfortable over long and short rides. i reserve 5 stars for when the review is a positive as above but i also get a handsome mans discount (so no 5 stars from me, ever...)

He spent time looking at my stance and posture both on and off the bike, and his guidance gave me several "a ha" moments as soon as I started pedaling, before we'd even made any significant adjustments. Bought a bike from their ebay shop and communication was great even though the bike we bought was not crazy expensive. They even were able to set it up a tune up with the service shop. We had one issue with the bike which was immediately corrected for free when we brought it back. Frank and Glenn went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the whole process. It means a lot when owners go the extra mile when something goes sideways as opposed to when everything goes smoothly. The shop is beautiful, the cold brew is great, and the area and surrounding shops are wonderful. It is worth making the trip if you are not local. We spent the day doing laps around the paved bike Path at Rockland Lake and had two meals next door at Rivertown Taphouse. Follow their ebay shop as there are some great deals.

I've been meaning to write a review about these guys from my one experience a few months ago, so here we go. First off, very clean shop. I can't stress enough how much of a first impression that makes. I've been to so many other bike shops that simply don't care about layout or cleanliness. It...does not inspire confidence from your clients. So A+ to that! More specifically to my experience, I found myself in need of some emergency repairs during a long-term road trip. The staff was very friendly, quick to help, and the repairs done were done very efficiently. Absolutely the opposite from my experience in many other bike shops. Highly recommended.

I've struggled with fit issues for years. I've watched YouTube videos and have spent a lot of money on various footbeds and wedges to try to address my fit issues. I finally decided to stop being stubborn and seek out an experienced fitter. After my fit session with Jason, I can now ride comfortably in the hoods for hours and I've been able to engage more of my glutes in the pedal stroke. Also, the custom footbeds have addressed my whacky feet issues that I hadn't been able to resolve for a long time. The muscular imbalances he helped me identify are going to improve as I work on them. I'm so grateful for his professionalism and his knowledge. If you are looking at this review, do yourself a favor and book at fitting with Jason.

I can't say enough about the fit session I had with Jason. He explains everything and is really good at understanding your goals and where you are in terms of your current status as a cyclist. I realized once I got my new bike fitted by Jason how well I had spent my money. I saw immediate results with more than 10% increase in my average MPH. I am not sure how anyone purchases a bike without a professional fit.

Great shop, great selection. If you really want to know what the right size bike for you is, or, if you want to totally dial-in your existing ride, set up an appointment with Jason in The Fit Lab. It's an amazing experience to get 3D measured for movement to size the bike correctly and make the minor, or major, adjustments to give you the absolutely most comfortable, dialed-in ride you could hope for.

As a beginner female cyclist, I had been a bit hesitant to buy from a shop that didn’t have any female sales staff when it was recommended to me by a family member. Piermont Bikes and its staff far exceeded my expectations. The sales staff is highly knowledgeable; helpful and patient. They have a wide selection of used and new bikes in a wide price range. I booked a bike fitting appointment with Jason, who was very knowledgeable, professional and approachable. He helped me to get set up with my first road bike with clipless pedals/shoes. I highly recommend getting fit work done if you’re looking to get serious about cycling. The fit work appointment is especially useful if you’re going into this not knowing what you’re looking for. The staff there are extremely helpful and answer any question you may have. Most importantly they are very honest and tell you if a particularly bike is not for you. They're much more about customer satisfaction then they are about selling bikes. To me the owner Glenn runs one of the best bike shops in New York it East coast first matter. This is a Great bike shop! Its way different from any other shop I’ve ever visited. 1. They ebay anything you want to turn into a credit to use in their store, not just bike stuff. 2. They run great bike sales on many different brands at huge discounts. I purchase a really terrific bike at 50% off on one of their special sales. 3. They took my 6 year old road bike in trade and gave me a reasonable credit towards my purchase. 4. The included basic bike fitting was very good, in fact so good, that I decided to have the full fitting process and am so happy with that experience. I've purchased four bikes from Piermont Bike and couldn't be happier with my experience. I picked up three bikes at their store and the staff was very friendly. I feel that Frank gave me a great deal on a Cannondale SuperSix Evo Dura-Ace and they offer free lifetime adjustments. I also shipped a bike out to family in California and that went smoothly too! Since I've been coming here for a few years so figued I'd update my review and add that their bike fitting service is incredible and well worth the money. I don't ever right reviews but this place deserves one. I was incredibly happy with every aspect of the service I was given today when purchasing my AWESOME new BMC. I was assisted by Matt who was incredibly knowledgeable and not only listened to my concerns, questions and goals I had but also as I'm by no means an experienced cyclist. He made the whole experience very comfortable and I felt very good about everything when I left. I will absolutely go back to this store for any future needs and will not hesitate to tell anyone looking for a bike that they have to go to peirmont bike!

I never review except when I have a either a great or terrible experience! I had a great experience with Piermont Cycle. With no intention to purchase a new bike, I left 30 minutes later with a fabulous new Scott bike that was a nice upgrade. They made it easy by taking my older Trek (which needed a repair) in on trade at a reasonably good value. I purchased a $4000 Scott Foil 20 bike for less than $2000 and then got $800 more for the trade in. $1300 total. These guys are a good bet for servicing and support not to mention the Gypsy Coffee bar. They included a lifetime of free adjustments and do dependable work (unlike the competition who dropped the ball on a repair - which was the reason why I had to stop in Piermont in the first place).

I bought a carbon MTB frameset from Piermont bike and I couldn't be happier with it. It was an online purchase and Piermont was very responsive and did a very good job of answering all my questions to make sure that I was comfortable with the purchase. I was impressed with the care in packing the bike for shipping. The only issue with the purchase was having to deal with FedEx and their lack of updates and later than expected delivery, which is not Piermont Bikes fault.

I recently bought a Felt VR5w from these guys and was struggling with some hand numbness on long hauls. After a couple minor adjustments they recommended coming in for a fitting to get to the root cause. The fitting experience was fantastic... truly amazing to see how the smallest adjustments can change your comfort and performance. What a difference from when I walked in the door! Jason took time to learn all of my old injuries and make adjustments to create more symmetry in my riding. One week after my fitting I completed a back to back century ride that I have done several times... I blew my PRs out of the water with more power and less effort. The fitting is worth every penny!

Glen took the time to show me how to make adjustments and generally treated me as a valued, regular customer -- despite this being my first time there. When I queried about some parts for another bike I was rebuilding he threw in some shifter cables and a tube free of charge. Lots of selections on new and used bikes. They serve the lycra brigade as well as idiots like me, with a little dangerous knowledge. Give them a try

I've had great experiences dealing with Piermont Bike, especially with the owner Glenn. Their ebay program is really convenient and great - drop off a crate of stuff, it's on ebay usually within a day or two, and you've got your store credit (or cash) 7-9 days later. It's a perfect way to clean up your closets! The sales floor looks good and the sales people aren't too pushy, but there always seems to be someone around if you need anything. The wrenches are skilled, and work quickly. I gave Service a "Very Good" instead of "Excellent" score because sometimes the attitude is not 100% great...but nothing really bad. I wish I could give a 2.8/3 instead of 2/3. The work they do is quality, for sure.

I stop by Piermont Bike out of convenience for spare tubes and other small accessories being it is right on a huge cycling corridor. With that said, I always come away feeling largely ignored as I am an avid recreational road cyclist but I am not part of the racing scene nor there to thrown down a few $$$$ on a new bike or upgrades (wheels, power meters, etc.). That need isn't there at the moment, but it could be & I'd consider them an option when that time comes if they'd treat recreational roadies with some consideration. Even those smaller purchases (who doesn't need tubes!!!) add up over time. I get the shop is always busy, but this morning when an employee finally tended to me and I specifically asked for SHIMANO cleat covers, he handed me LOOK covers and walked away. I tried to get his and another employee's attention which fell on deaf ears. I ended up walking out. Maybe I'll do better next time if I befriend one of the workers. I see them chatting it up with other customers, who could be regulars, but they don't seem to be interested in starting a potentially long-term relationship. Oh well, guess I'll take my $$$ elsewhere for my cleat covers and who knows what else.......

Simply a top notch bike shop from the inventory to the mechanics to the bike knowledge to the partnership with Gypsy Donut. Glenn never lets me down when I am in any sort of bike need. If you ever want to sell anything on E-bay, work with Glenn.

This establishment is truly a rare gem and Glenn Davgin, owner and his entire staff are truly a rare breed. The preponderance of bicycle enterprises tend to demonstrate preferential treatment to accomplished cyclists who are inclined to purchase high-end merchandise. Well, you will find said individuals frequenting Piermont Bicycle Connection. However, whether you are approaching Chris Froome status, or an individual who simply wants to purchase a reasonably priced bike to tour their neighborhood at a leisurely pace, Glenn and the gang will literally bend over backwards for you...there are no questions too simplistic to pose and you will never receive a condescending response. The latter typifies many of the pretentious bicycle outfitters. And you can test ride a wide range of bikes. The EBAY division of Piermont Bicycle Connection will truly provide you with the "most bang for your buck," And, their revamped cafe provides a savory array of food offerings and great coffee concoctions (a true treat is when Glenn's son is behind the counter assuming the role of Barista - his Espresso mixtures "Rock"). For those of you who do not reside in the Piermont area - I assure you, it is worth a drive, whether for an hour or for several hours. It is an excellent bike. The chief mechanic Néstor Portillo attended us, and advised us on the type of bicycles we could buy, it is also an accessible bicycle store where you can try the bicycle before buying it to be sure of the size and geometry. Very good attention from the administrators, and excellent customer service. I recommend it 100%. They have a very good selection of bikes.
