I was given a gently used Cannondale commuter bike that needed a little love to be road ready. I initially took the bike to Danny's in Pelham who estimated over $600 of work (citing a new gear system, new wheel, new brakes) while pushing me to buy a new bike. I knew the bike was in better shape than what they were quoting so looked around and found Pedro. He did a quick diagnostic and came back with an $85 tune-up and $5 for a new spoke on the rear wheel. I picked the bike up today and it rides like new with easy shifting, braking, and general performance. Pedro is one of the coolest, down to earth, knowledgeable bike shop owners I’ve ever dealt with. He reasonably prices his services, thoroughly answers all questions, and works with you to solve any issue you may have with your bike. I’ve come to him now for several things (bike tune ups, changing bike gear ratios, miscellaneous discussions on bike tuning) and he’s always delivered. Solid local bike shop that deserves all the business he gets.

I went to Pedro after I had my bike brought to a "service tune up" to someone else and i wasn't pleased with the service. I was told to replace my rear derailleur (SRAM red which retails for 650$). Hence i wanted to get a second opinion. Pedro looked at the bike and saw immediately that the rear derailleur hanger was totally skewed. He also noticed that the headset was loose and the bottom bracket that needs to be checked. I was told by the prior person that I needed a new bottom bracket. Pedro correctly found the real issue. It was the adjustment ring and not the bottom bracket at all (i have a kogal bracket). He fixed all that at a fraction of the charges that the prior guy charged me. Plus when I came the first time he looked at my bike for about 40min without charging a dollar. This is what I call real service. If you have a high end bike. Go to Pedro. You will be well served.

Pedro has been my trusted mechanic for more than a decade. He's been responsible for keeping my 7-8 different bikes in working order and someone I always trust to be professional, courteous and resourceful. Not only that, he's also been very active in local training ride scene organizing great rides and making sure people on the ride are kept safe and enjoying themselves. Just an all around great guy. I highly highly recommend his shop and his service.

Pedro and his family are awesome and helpful! I got my first bike from him. His wife saw me struggling and came out to help me. One afternoon, I was on an unfamiliar road and lo and behold, Pedro and his son, along with his son's friends were having a break beside the bike path. Pedro carried my bike over the concrete barrier so that I can be on the bike path. Winter of 2020, My sister wanted a bike too, so we went to Pedro's. All the bikes were sold out during Covid but he told us that if we could wait, he'll build a bike for us. I thought it would be ready by summer, but late February 2021, he called and said it was ready. While installing the pedals, he tells me that he's been in the bike business for over 20 years and there was a time that he was just constantly working and not having a break to recuperate. It got to the point that he was not his usual self and a little bit of customer service went out the door. However, now, he knows to set boundaries; closes his shop at the right time and goes out to ride alone, or with his wife and son, and hopefully, when all is better, with his crew. He's known around as a great bike shop owner, awesome bike repair guy, but to my sister and I, we know him as a genuinely helpful and won't upsell you type of a person. I highly recommend him.

It was somewhat late in the afternoon, and my 6 year old daughter really wanted to ride her bike. Unfortunately, the rear tire wasn't just flat, it needed a new innertube. I Googled bike stores in my area and found Pedro's. I told him we'd be there in less than 10 minutes if he would please wait cause it was late in the afternoon. We got there, and Pedro was exceptionally nice and gracious. While he fixed the tire, my daughter marveled at the "bikes for big people"... Pedro came back out with the tire all fixed and ready to go and we were able to enjoy the rest of the afternoon and early evening riding around. It was SO nice of Pedro to be opened, and fixing the problem so quickly. I would definitely return for any future bike needs. Thanks Pedro... You made my daughter's day, and her Frozen bicycle is doing great !

Pedro is such a generous and nice person. I brought in my child's unbranded cheap bicycle that was missing a bolt which caused the handle to be unusable. I've gone to another bike store nearer to me which straight up told me that the screw is special and that they won't repair the bicycle, but Pedro was willing to go into his workshop to see if he could find a matching bolt and he also took the time to attach the handle back on. When we asked him for the price of the repair, he declined because it was just a spare bolt he had. I was so touched by his kind gesture. I would give 10 stars if I had the option to do so. Pedro is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He went the extra mile, no pun intended, and tightened my brakes and made minor adjustments. My bike felt brand new on the road. I went in for new tires and also added teflon to the inner part of my tire to ensure that they would not catch a flat. Highly recommend this bike shop

Bought our bikes from Dick’s Sporting Goods. My son’s bike started to show signs of wear in one month’s time. And eventually had a flat. Pedro fixed the bike while we waited. We needed a new tire- he was able to explain why the bike seemed to be wearing down quickly. He fixed that problem. Now months later I recently dropped another bike off to be put together. I could have had the employees at the store do it. Instead I took it straight to Pedro’s knowing that it would be well assembled. Great customer service as well. By the way - I know nothing about bikes. So it’s great to trust that I am not being taken advantage of.

That's why 5 stars instead of 6. Go here if you don't care about the price and you have a disposable income.

I'm from Manhattan and rode up to New Rochelle 03.04.20 to visit my mother when I had a mechanical I couldn't fix in an unfamiliar suburban area. I asked Siri for local bike shops. Up popped Pedro Sanchez Cycling. I called and Pedro said he would come pick me up! How lucky for me! In five minutes there he was, as friendly as could be. He loaded my bike into his truck and in 5 minutes we were in his shop and he was repairing my bike. His shop is tiny but absolutely top notch. If you're a serious cyclist and are in the area, you must check it out. Gorgeous Pinarellos and Williers in stock. Thank you Pedro for going out of your way to help me and get me back on the road!
