Super Highly recommended bike rental $20 for 4 hours this is a deal all other places charge $40-80 for similar time of rental we rode our bikes from the location to Washington bridge and into Central Park in the time of 4 hours. You must visit this place for your bike rental you can beat the deals.

They truly are masters with bikes. They treat my 45-year-old bike as though it was their own. Once I saw someone bring in little more than a frame after a crash, and they looked at it and said, "Let's see what we can do." They've been amazingly creative during the supply chain problems. Prices are great. They're speedy. And your bike is certain to be better when you leave than when you came in.

During this crisis my daughter and I were looking to purchase bikes for exercise and transportation. I emailed Master Bike, describing what we were looking for and they said to come on over and they would have the perfect fit. Within 15 minutes we had 2 awesome bikes with baskets and bells and of course helmets. The price was beyond great and they were super nice. If you need a bike this is the place to go!!! They also rent bikes. When I have visitors in town I always send them to Master Bike for quality bike rentals. Plus, they are close to Riverside Park if you are looking for a place to ride! This place is my neighborhood bike store! I bought my bike here merely because it’s close to my apartment. I’m so glad that I found this place as I feel they’re now family. Whenever there’s something wrong with my bike (something just feels off) I go there, drop my bike, and it will be ready for me to ride again in a few hours! (no extra cost because I bought the bike here). I recently bump into one of the posts on the Greenway, and as soon as I was close to home, I went to the store, shared what happened, dropped my bike, and in a couple of hours, my bike is ready to be ridden again. The owner and all his staff are super friendly and very accommodating… I just love this place!

Great bike shop! I can't speak highly enough of Imbert and his team at Master Bike. I've been a cyclist for decades and don't entrust my bikes to just anyone. The mechanics at Master Bike are top-notch, and have resolved annoying issues other shops could not. They clearly enjoy what they do, and do it very well. The whole staff is warm and friendly and knows their products. They have a great selection of bikes and accessories for recreational riders and racers alike. Their prices are fair and will give you more than your money's worth in time, attention and follow-up service. Today I had the pleasure to buy not only 1 but 2 bikes for me and my best friend. I called earlier to Master Bike to make sure it was open and the guys were super helpful and even invited me to come in to check it out in person. I had called several other stores and they were all rude because I'm not a pro, I'm just a regular guy who wanted a good bike and had questions. When my roommate and I got there they answered all our questions and were super knowledgeable and patient. They recommended different ones until we found the perfect ones. Great service, very reasonable price level and quality selections! We got our son’s first bike from Master Bike. It was our second bike shops before making the purchase. It was very busy but as soon as we walked in and grabbed one of the staff and he helped us with picking the right one very quickly and let our toddler try riding it on the street. Little did we know, the staff who helped us turned out to be the owner himself - who was extremely kind and knowledgeable. Prices are very reasonable and service is quick! They don’t push you into buying more expensive ones but also give you honest opinions. We got a toddler’s Giro helmet too and the price was better online. We would definitely come back to Master Bike again as my son grows out of his current one.

I have been looking for a certain bike for 6 months but couldn't find one due to Covid. Well I happen to find Master Bike in NY and they had it in stock. I emailed them to see if it was still available and Manuel emailed me back right away. The bike was available and he would ship it which made me even happier since a lot of other shops won't ship these days. The entire process from the first email to my bike arriving was a little over a week. The bike is in perfect condition and I couldn't be happier. I feel like bike shops in the city can be pretty hit or miss, and these guys are definitely hit! Master Bike was the only shop in the City that had the bike I was looking for in stock and when I got there it was an amazing experience. I’m still pretty new to cycling, and not only was everyone was friendly and helpful, I never felt taken advantage of or pressured to buy something more expensive than needed—in fact, one of the reps that helped me suggested less expensive pedals and a more reasonably priced helmet than I’d expected. My only complaint is that they’re about 100 blocks north of me, and I wish they closer because they will absolutely be my LBS going forward!

My boyfriend recently got back into riding and was looking for a new bike. It was very hard to find bikes around the city or even online due to the pandemic. We searched and found several places with reputable bikes available. We came across this shop and the people were friendly and very helpful. They had the bike available in store and helped with the sizing of the appropriate bike for my boyfriend, he’s 5’ 11”. The store even checked to see how my boyfriend was enjoying the bike a few days later. It’s great to see such great customer service, not many stores still do that. Great place. Nice staff. Prices aren’t the lowest but they also aren’t the highest. Very busy but quick to help and try to get people in and out as fast as they can. I rented a road bike for the day. Not a terrible bike, certainly nothing new/nice but it was an alright bike. Only paid $75 for the whole day (24 hours so you could bring it back the next day). For anyone thinking about getting into cycling, not a bad way to test the waters!

I’m new to the cycling world wanted to do it for years but due to the pandemic & the need to find something to do during quarantine & enjoy safely long term. I jump in feet first... I was doing extensive research on what kind of bike I wanted and from what Bike shop to buy from. I read reviews from so many shops in Manhattan & The Bronx which led me to Masters Bike. Their reviews were great and I see why. I send them an email and very quickly it was responded By text by Manuel, who was professional and a gentlemen.. he set aside the bike I wanted.. A Specialized Sirrus 1.0 in black and the last one. When to shop to pick up the bike.. his staff led by Imbert is amazing make you feel at home, gave me an honest no BS advice they just honest not trying to oversell you stuff you don’t need.. They have an selection of bike for all different palettes and accessories.. in the back of the shop they have their repair shop. I did also buy a helmet I need. They are and will be my bike shop in NYC..,In my honest novice opinion Best Bike Shop in NYC.

They are always friendly and are not trying to push you to buy things you don’t need like at Toga bike shop. I LOVE this shop. I have been patronizing Master Bike since it first opened five blocks north of where it is now, and it is hands down the best bike shop in the city, and possibly the planet. All the sales folks are knowledgeable, service-oriented, professional and always helpful. They have a great selection of bikes and merchandise; they also will very readily tell you if there is a better product out there which is not in their inventory but which they can order for you, and they do so. My three kids and I have bought numerous bikes and accessories from them over the years and we always walk out happy. Great mechanics for repairs and tune ups, too.

Great local UWS bike shop. It has been difficult looking to upgrade bikes since COVID, but Manuel at Master's was able to make a recommendation based on my needs/what they had in stock. Someone walked out into the street just in front of me when I was riding across 72nd street on my 1975 Schwinn. I hit the brakes so hard that one of my cables broke. Fortunately I didn’t hit the guy. Master bike came to my rescue. I brought the bike over and they were able to fix it in a few minutes for a very reasonable price. On top of that they were extremely nice. Highly recommended.

These guys are amazing and will take care of you 110%. i really needed a bike during the covid pandemic and i could not find a bike anywhere. i was recommended to them by a friend and i was able to purchase a specialized sirrus online. After the purchase, i received a call from Manuel who wanted to confirm my order, my height, and bike frame size. The very next day the bike was delivered to my front door, completely assembled and ready to ride! Manuel followed up during the whole process from purchase, delivery and even after riding the bike! These guys are amazing! I have gone twice so far in the past couple weeks. They helped me pick out a pair of shoes, changed out my pedals for free, and helped me clip in and out for the first couple times. I also picked up a couple spare inner tubes which, when some of them didn't fit, they exchanged it for free without any hassle. Definitely the best bike shop I've been to.

I'm on my 3rd bike at this point after they opened the world of cycling to me. I purchased my first hybrid (Bianchi Cortina) from them and soon after acquired my first roadie (Felt F1 series) for very reasonable prices. Each time customizing the perfect bike for my size, lifestyle and budget. Despite me being quite a difficult customer the selection process was painless- they patiently provided detailed information and options. Never pushy or salesy. The bike fitting was comprehensive and any future tune-ups are on the house. Both turned out to be immense investments. As I was introduced to road cycling, they polished my biking skills by providing tips including positioning, using clips, training on a stationary machine.. and more... I have to personally thank Imbert, the owner, and his nephew, Jay for showing my nephew how to ride bike. They went out of their way in front of the shop for a few hours at a time until he faced the intimidating task of riding on two wheels. All of this was an incredible gesture of goodwill for which I'm eternally grateful. The shop also has a solid variety of bikes and accessories for decent prices. Best prices I'd say. Cheaper than Amazon. If they don't have it, they may accommodate you by ordering it. Imbert, Jay, Mike and all the other guys are the epitome of what private business needs to thrive and what a difference it makes as a customer when you feel like you are part of a whole team/ family. Master Bike Shop has earned their stellar track record for quality, professionalism and gregariousness, and my undying loyalty as a local year-round commuter cyclist. Called in for a Specialized Allez Elite which has been impossible to find everywhere from the shortage. The guy on the phone ran down to check the inventory to double check and answer my questions and had the bike ready out of box within a few hours. Accessories in the shop were also fairly priced and they recommended the more practical components rather than just trying to upsell. Honest people, great service, will definitely be back.

I've been at the Master Bike Shop three times now and must say they provide excellent service. On my first visit, Mike dedicated 1.5 hrs to walk me through various bike models and help me identify the right solution for my needs. Remembering the uniformly positive reviews of this shop, I stopped by the Master Bike Shop when I was in the vicinity to get some help with a defective rear brake. The owner and his assistant wasted no time in finding that the brake cable was damaged and replacing it and the brake pads; then i was charged a very modest fee for this prompt, courteous, and appropriate service. Most of the other stores were running out of stock, I reached out to Master Bike and they said to come in as they had a few options. I was really, really impressed by the time and care their bike fitter put into my recent fitting. I've gone for fittings at several other shops and this was by far my best experience. The fitter was an absolute stickler for detail, perfection and really took the time to do the absolute best on the three key points of contact. No problem though; they quickly implemented an innovative solution and got me on my way. I've also used them numerous times previously for routine work. I went to Master Bike Shop on a trip with a few friends to window shop. I was in the market for a new road bike, but didn't know where to start. Luckily I came in and the staff eagerly showed me to a few bikes. When I picked the one I wanted, he said 'go ride it outside'. I was stunned. Not only did he take the time to install the pedals, but he let me ride this bike for a while and get the feel for it. That right there, is excellent customer service. I fell in love with the bike and told myself that I would get it in a few weeks. When I came back to the shop, the guy who helped me soon remembered me and immediately found the bike that I was riding. After paying and everything, he then installed a water bottle holder for free! Didn't even ask for it, but it was such a kind gesture. You really dont get service like that anymore. Possibly one of the best Bike Shops I've been to.

I am new to the neighborhood and come with some bad bike shop experience baggage, so when I got a flat on the UWS on a Sunday afternoon on a 3-day holiday weekend I was worried. I showed up at Master Bike Shop and was pleasantly surprised to find that they were even open. I ended up having them fix a bunch of stuff, and they had my bike ready the next afternoon as promised. I don't know much about bikes, but these guys do! I don't pretend to know it all and ask a lot of questions, it would have been easy to rip me off but these guys were so cool, professional, and totally ego free. They answered all my questions, made some quick adjustments to my bike right when I walked in and were so courteous and helpful.
