I rode throughout 9w last Thursday. Both of my derailleurs stop working. I made it to James Vincent. Very friendly and very professional. The entire staff was great. I ended up needing a new chain and cassette. The mechanic was superb. The mechanic knows his stuff, he also was very friendly and didn’t have a problem explaining certain things to me. I live far from the bike shop. From now on, I will only go to James Vincent to get my bike serviced. They did a better job than the place I bought the bike from. Again thanks to the entire team that helped me that day. You have a new loyal customer.

Honestly I couldn’t recommend this bike shop more! If you want a bike and you know this shop has it definitely purchase it! I called to ask questions about shipping and one question became the best experience in purchasing a bike. This by far was the best customer service experience I ever had. I was looking for a specific color specialized bike that they happened to have and being that I lived in the city my question was how was I going to receive it. From reaching out to other people and making this transaction not only an easy one but a memorable one. Thank you Jorge for really going above and beyond. I couldn’t thank you enough.

I went there to look around things i can get to make my ebike better. The attendant hook me up with some slick tires and a cool helmet. Good thing is this items did not break the bank. Amazing, i just casually went there not expecting to buy and ended up getting few things for under 160. I like the locations and i have to come back so they can swap my current tires for this new ones i got! 😃😃

Just bought an ebike from here. The person who helped me was very friendly and showed me everything I needed to know about the bike. They have all the accessories and tools you could possibly need at a reasonable price. After purchasing they even helped put the bike in my car. Will definitely be shopping here for any bike related needs in the future.

Fantastic bike shop! I had to find a new place to repair my scooter wheel near work and they took great care of me. Better than anywhere I could go in Queens, so I will go back when I need something.

After buying this (BMW Power GX760) and nearly broke off its left crank due to a unknown loosening in its bolt I had no choice but to leave it in my basement for a few months thinking that the funds would require an arm and a leg, But my dad recommended this shop for me and boy was I happy to find out that for $52 I could buy and have a new crank and have custom metal pedals installed in under 45 minutes. Awsome customer service and definitely will be traveling there whenever I have any bike issues.

Immediately after coming in I see the guys in the back working on bikes diligently and the owner here really knows his stuff. Excellent place if you're a beginner in any type of cycling. We loved this place! Got a bike for my pre-teen and these are our people (we went elsewhere first and that was a mistake because for the same kid, with the same story they wanted to sell us a bike that cost twice as much as the one we got here). They are unpretentious, totally approachable, don't try to up-sell you, listen to what you need, explain things, and even help you out to get parts to fit that need a little finagling. We're so happy we ended up here and were happy to give them our business.

Bought a beautiful Cannondale off FB marketplace that needed some tune up service . Came in for there tune in service and they really paid attention to what I needed done(crank pedal was chewed up and shifters needed changing). At first I thought the price was alittle high but I wanted this bike fix so I didn't mind. They called to update a small change they made before going ahead with it. When I came back the price was lowered because the wire work was charged with the new shifter. Honest establishment, and my bike is riding like new so thank you fellas!

Review is long overdue, but better late than never! I purchased my dream road bike back in January from JV Bicycles, which had been a very pleasant experience. I purchased my bike online on their website and the store gladly held onto the bike for me until the weekend. The bike was in brand new condition and was never test ridden when I picked it up. There were some accessories that were missing when the bike was shipped to the shop from Specialized. However, the shop immediately contacted Specialized and was able to get me the missing accessories, which they conveniently mailed to my house as I live in NY. Overall, the shop has been incredibly friendly and the customer service is absolutely amazing. I will never hesitate to refer this shop to my friends and family. Thank you JV Bicycles!

Searched far and wide for the bike of my dreams and found it a JV Bicycles! I bought it online and they held it for me until I could pick it up. The staff was fantastic. They made sure my bike was in pristine ready-to-ride order before I left the shop and answered every question that I didn’t know I needed to ask. THANK YOU!!!!! The store is definitely not close to where I live but I will definitely be back should I need any sort of service in the future. It is worth the trip.

This place saved my life the other night (1am). I live in the bronx and was helping my aunt move into the area... My tires had low air and I happened upon this place looking for a gas station for air. I was able to air up using the available outside hose and be on my way. So eternally grateful for this place and I definitely hope to come back when it's open one day haha.

I'm very new to the area and very new to ebikes so when I ordered an ebike through a company and they found JV bicycles to have it assembled I didn't think about it too much. The bike happened to have a small part damaged in shipping and the folks at JV bikes (Wayne/Jorge/etc.) kept me very well updated and got me my bike fixed and good as new in a reasonable amount of time given the shortages in the industry. They're friendly and know their stuff. I'm really glad I happened to go through them and plan to go back when I'm looking for bike stuff :). Thanks for getting me on the road!

Great shop, friendly expierenced staff and HONEST. My second visit to the shop I purchased more accessories, one of my cards did not have enough funds on it so I had to use another card however, my card was mistakenly overcharged due to the confusion. The manager caught this mistake and the end of the day but had no way of contacting me. I showed up a third time to have some work done and was immediately recognized by Wayne who is great by the way, and he pulled me off of the line outside and said " we owe you money". They are a fair and honest bike shop which can be hard to come by these days. Highly recommend this shop.

Bought my first cannondale from them. I was so impressed with the service I bought my daughter one too. The level of experience and the Initiative they show is outstanding. They have many different price point options so it's very easy to find something there. There is no pressure at all from anyone there. Customer service is always a priority at JV. I've been a patron since the early 90s when there was a different owner. Having friends who were bike mechanics, I didn't visit the shop for years. Those friends no longer ride with me. I started to go back last year for service & noticed the same dedicated customer service they take pride in. Since early last year, I've purchased two bikes. Many shops don't know you after you leave with a new bike. Not JV! They treat you with the up most appreciation. Their knowledge & experience gives us patrons a trust that's no longer felt in small moma & papa shops. You can shop at JV with trust & confidence. You'll leave knowing that you're in good hands. Original Review - 1 star Called them to ask about a Cannondale recall. They did not know about it, which is fine. The guy I spoke to took a few minutes away from the phone, came back and told me that I have to drop off the bike, they will order a replacement fork from Cannondale, and then will replace the fork whenever they have time since they are busy and backed up. And he finished off by saying that he will charge me for replacing the fork. I told him that they should not be charging me anything, since this is a recall and Cannondale should take care of it. Its then that he responded by saying "yeah, we will work something out". A less informed consumer may have agreed, and perhaps even paid for replacing the fork. Not a good first impression. I guess I will be looking at other Cannondale authorized dealers around my area. Update - Changed my initial 1 star review to 5 stars. After having a not so pleasant experience with another bike shop in Staten Island, I was advised by a Cannondale rep to approach another bike shop in my area. Since JV was my only option, I approached them once again. The owner of the bike shop had positively responded to my initial 1 star review, which gave me the confidence of contacting them again. I am glad that I did. They took care of the recall and did everything they could to sort the issue for me. After they received the replacement part, they were able to install it over the span of a few days, even after being backed up with sales and repairs (due to the increased demand in bikes, thanks to the pandemic). Stellar service. I am going to be back.

Nice place, guys know what they are doing. I bought there Specialized bike for my wife and it was $25 cheaper than on the official specialized bike website. I gave them my wheels to assemble and the charges were pretty decent. Good bike store!

I'm a very casual rider and decided to drop my bike off for an inspection because the gears were not changing smoothly. Not only did they quickly identify and correct the problem but they added air to my tires, tightened up a loose kickstand and gave me a few safety tips. I will definitely be back for the great customer service.

WOULD GIVE SIX STARS IF I COULD I went into the shop with a bike pump that I was having trouble operating. They fixed the presta valve for free and swapped my pump (which I purchased last summer from them) for a new one, even though I didn't have a receipt. The people there were friendly and helpful. Even though I live a little far from the shop, this kind of service and quality is rare, and I will definitely go to them again.

I'm in Iowa and found a bike at James Vincent. The staff was incredibly great to work with and talked me through the process to purchase and shipping details. They also included some extra swag goodies in the bike box. My new Crux is quite possibly my favorite bike to date!

Dropped my bike off and my wife's bike off on Tuesday and went to pick them up on Thursday. When I went to pick them up they Did not start on them yet so they asked if I wanted to wait I said no problem. Wayne mentioned that they were shorthanded for couple of days understandably. Place looked busy when I was there. Well worth the wait the bikes came out like brand-new. They gave me a discount for waiting which I thought was really nice. Wayne was great made sure that I was taken care of. The guy that did the maintenance informed me that my brakes will need to be replaced soon. That was a good heads up.

Outlet Home Inspections

I ordered my Monterey bike off of amazon and needed someone good to assemble it. I decided to bring it here and they assembled it for 50$, much cheaper then other stores in jersey city. I decided to buy a more comfortable seat, bottle holder, and kick stand. I checked the prices online and the comfy seat was the same price! I even received a 10% discount. The employees here are knowledgeable and understanding. This shop does not rob you blind similar to other bike shops in Jersey City.

We came in with no knowledge and wanted to pick up bikes and go on a Sunday morning. Armando took hours to help fit us, find us and set us up with anything and everything possible. He was fun personable, He wad extremely knowledgeable without and pressure. We walked out with exactly what we wanted and have gained lifetime patrons. Be very careful when you get your bike back from repairing. I personally will not do that again! The repair guy tried to convince me that if the front derailleur is on first gear I cannot put the rear one to the last gear. He just didn't want to fix the chain which was a bit too long.
