Such a cool place to visit for any and all of your bicycle needs. They offer services, kind smiles and all the help that you may need. They serviced my bike 🚴 and I was ready for my ride. I worked with Travis who helped me pick my shoes and Helmut and fitted my seat perfectly. Matt who serviced my bike was very detailed and explained everything I needed to do to keep my bike in great shape. David was super funny and made the visit super fun. Trek Store in Carrollwood, Tampa is a top-notch bike shop in every respect. They have an extensive selection of high-quality Trek bikes, clothing, accessories and gear. They are very knowledgeable about their product and the industry and their mechanics are the best in diagnosing and treating anything that may be ailing your bike. However, the aspect that I love the most about this store is that top customer service is their #1 priority and it shows. From my experience (which is pretty extensive), the crew always goes above and beyond to deliver the product, information or services a customer needs. On top of it all, the crew is friendly, personable, and all-around nice people so it's always a pleasure to walk in there. Congrats to all these Trek crew! You guys rock!!

Awesome staff. I’m a beginner and I walked into this store with a lot of questions about which bike would be good for me. David was tremendously helpful. He took his time to explain my options and helped me pick a bike that I LOVE! The bike needed to get built and was ready in a couple of days. When I went to pick it up, Eli was just as helpful, he helped me set up my bike rack and, just like David, took time to educate me and answer all my beginner questions. The service Dept. is by far one of the best in town. Mathew and Erik to name the ones taking the lead on my repair were relentless and committed to my repair. I won’t get into any of the details here but I will say they didn’t give up. Others would of damaged my bike trying to repair it, or simply just given up. Not these guys! Your in good hands here. Not only was an awesome bike and Andre helped pick out based on the 6 foot three hundred pound athlete; they threw a birthday party. I have had a wonderful experience with the whole team at the Carrollwood location! Andre has bent over backwards to make sure everything was satisfactory, (and it wasn't easy), to please me! Exceptional Service from the time I walked in until I left. I was genuinely greeted when I walked in to have my bike serviced. As my bike was being looked over, everyone was conversational and inviting. Very rare these days! Bike was completed for a minor break adjustment and they never charged me. I love biking but never yet found the perfect bike for me. These guys were amazing in picking out just what I needed. I didn't happen to use the financing options but they have a variety to select from. They took time to make sure I was perfectly settled into my new bike and did not rush me out the door at closing time.

I took my bike here after a shipping company disassembled it and kind of tossed it in with my household goods. The bike store took my bike and did a through inspection of the bike and offered me a complementary beverage as well as a nice chat. I was expecting a few fees for the inspection and the typical convenience fee for taking my bike on short notice without an appointment. I ended up only paying for new pedals which was cheap from a name brand. I didn’t pay for anything else (I even insisted they charged me for the inspection). Overall, this is an amazing store where I see myself going back to very soon. The gentlemen working here are very professional and extremely kind.

Our experience at this store was incredible. We called earlier in the day to get details on the Trek Dumane bike. We showed up 3 hours later to explore options in person. Over the phone service and in person service was fantastic! They took their time in explaining the difference between the different road bikes. Covered the specs. Gave advice on gear, size, and more. David was the gentleman that helped us here. Everything was very thorough! He is very well educated and we highly recommend going to this store. When possible ask for David!

I purchased an FX5 from the old David's World Cycle in April of this year. The bike had multiple issues and needed service. I used the South Tampa location as it is closer to my house and boy do I regret that. After the cranks literally fell off the bike while riding, I took the bike to the Carrollwood Trek store. Andre and his team were absolutely amazing. The customer service at this store is top notch. They listened and provided solutions that far exceeded my expectations. In doing so, they have made a Trek customer for life and I will be purchasing additional bikes. This is how you should be treated!!

After searching for a bike online, I reached a point of frustration and delirium. Save yourself time and the uncertainty unless of course you know exactly what you’re looking for. In my case, I have not bought a bike since the Stone Age. I was spinning my wheels trying to find the right bike. Then I arrived at the gates of Dave’s World Cycles. After the associate Mathew asked me several questions, he suggested several options and explained pros and cons of each bike. Without hesitation, I purchased a Trek Verve 2 on the spot. I ride A LOT OF MILES almost every day(around 30 to 50) and I really abuse my Trek FX3 hybrid. The guys at Trek (Erik and Matt) always take care of me and get me back on the road as soon as possible. Great service and great products. Amazing showroom...worth the trip! Update 9/20/22 my FX3 ended up jumping gears during these long rides. After several visits with the bike I decided to upgrade to an FX4, but I actually started experiencing the same issue as well as a new issue with the gears bucking every time I stopped peddling. Matt explained to me that it's my way of peddling and I back peddle when I stop. I found this to be adsurd, as I have been riding bikes for a few years. (1973 I got my first Schwinn Varsity) Eric was super helpful, however I believe that the true problem is with the Shimano derailleur and cassettes. I was surprised after dropping $1800 clams on a new bike that they couldn't get me riding... Perhaps even offer a different derailleur. I've since purchased a bike from another bike shop that hasn't jumped gears or bucks when I stopped peddling for half the price. 😔

My experience from the start was awesome! I called the store looking for a bike and purchased online. Ray contacted me immediately to ask me when I was hoping to pick up my bike and worked with me to get it to me the very next day (which I was okay with a 2-3 day window pick up time). Chandler at the Carrollwood store was AWESOME! He walked me thru the operations of my new bike and really helped me pick out the perfect accessories for my bike - he was very educational and made me feel at east and he did not make me feel pressured to buy anything extra. He had me take it outside and helped to adjust the seat and handlebars perfectly for me then loaded it into my SUV for me -- such a great experience all around. Next day I discovered a part on my bike was broken and I called the Tampa store and they were so apologetic and said I could bring it in anytime. I brought it in the next day and despite 5 or more people being there they prioritized me and put my bike on the rack right away and started working on it. Long story short they had to order a part but the experience was great and I felt like a priority and they did everything they could to get my gears smoother. The bike will still run great till the new part comes in. Overall my experience has been a 10 out of a 10 and would definitely recommend to anyone that they purchase their bike here. They will not be disappointed! Thank you for the amazing customer service!

Received a call from Dave that he actually found one for me and it was close at the Clearwater store. All I had to do was go pick it up. My first encounter with your store was to have a cheap mountain bike repaired. I initially thought taking a Walmart bought mountain bike to a specialty bike shop I would be laughed out of there but it was quite the opposite. The shop employee was happy to take it in and help me out anyway he could. I got a fast and reasonably priced repair without trying to be up sold while I was there. I left that day feeling so satisfied with my experience I told myself the next bike I buy will be from this shop. Fast forward about 6 months later I was in there yesterday picking up a new Trek bike for my wife. Again I was totally impressed with the staffs helpfulness and expertise in helping me with my decision. When I picked out the bike for my wife it was only a few days before Christmas and I told the salesperson I needed it before Christmas. They were extremely busy and told me they could not promise anything, however I was called the very next day that it was ready to pick up! I was amazed, less than 24 hours. Found out the crew stayed late to make sure the bikes got built before Christmas. What an amazing team you have at this Carrollwood location! Thank you!

They do high quality repair and maintenance work. However, the problem I've run into with their service department is the length of time it takes to get the work done. The two times I had work done on my bike it took almost three weeks in both instances and even then they did not have the bike ready on the promised dates. I'm getting ready to upgrade to a mid-level road bike in the $2,500 to $3,000 range. Because of the issues I've had with their service department I'm hesitant to buy a bike at their store.

I live near the South Tampa store, but the bicycle we wanted was only available up in Carrollwood. We were in the market for some comfy beach cruiser style bikes, but they literally have EVERY kind of bike I'd enjoy just looking at the electric selection for fun. Anyway...In the South Tampa branch, Colin and Robert were extremely helpful, polite, professional and courteous. At the Carrollwood branch, Chandler was outstanding in his customer service and positive attitude! I wanted to shout out because my wife and I were impressed with the customer service. Lastly, at David's World we were able to get exactly what we wanted I am so pleased with our experience that it would be wrong for me not to mention the job well done! We will absolutely be back in, and I highly recommend shopping for your bike here.

Fantastic service from knowledgeable employees! I came in to purchase some shoes. They have a great selection even though sizes are somewhat limited due to covid-19. Chandler was very helpful in determining my correct size. Not only did he sell me the shoes but he put the cleats on for me as well. I had some simple questions about measuring for a new bike and they used a very high tech tool to capture my size and give me an automatic recommendation in seconds. I highly recommend this shop.

I have been shopping for myself at this location for about 3 years and decided to shop for a mountain bike during a pandemic for my very short girlfriend. I have been trying so hard to find a bike she can comfortably stand over while out on the trail. Eric and his team...Adam, Richard and the new guy David all are amazing. It was 30 min before closing and the gentleman David who does the builds offered to build a XS right then so my girlfriend could compare the stand over height right there in person between a XS and a S. Normally I don’t take time to leave reviews, either good or bad, but I have had such an awesome experience at this bike shop that I had to give kudos to all the guys and gals who work there. I went to four or five shops in the area when shopping for a new bike and David’s is the first place where I truly felt like the staff were willing to take a moment to answer my questions and make sure I understood everything before making a big purchase. I never felt rushed or hurried, and they were always very patient with the questions I had. After I got the bike, they’ve been so awesome with helping me get it set up, taking plenty of time to make sure everything was fit correctly for my riding style before I left the shop, and even doing minor follow up adjustments free of charge when I bring the bike back for something small. I can’t recommend this place highly enough, especially compared to the customer service at some other area stores. As long as I live in Florida, this store will always be my first stop for anything bike related.

I stopped by just before closing on a Thursday night planning to drop off my bicycle to get the rear tire changed on Friday. When I explained my evil plan the staff explained that might be a problem because Friday is their busiest day. They then told me that they would be happy to change the tire for me right then and there. Wow! I'm not the kind of person who shows up 15 minutes before closing with a repair that's not all that urgent. But, the service and attitude of the store staff to quickly change the tire and get me home all before closing is quite remarkable. It's that kind of service that keeps me coming back. Thanks.

I really feel that it was worth it going to a retail shop for my bike instead of the classifieds and other local sites I usually use. The service was awesome, Charlie made me feel like I was buying a $2000 bike instead of a $400 bike. He put my safety pack on for me including the pump and helped me get it into my car, showing me how to break it down. Not to mention they did a price match for me! This shop did not have the slightest "uppity" feel to it even though they are a high end bicycle store. Highly reccomend.

The only issue is that I live 45 minutes away and I was not allowed a test drive and the rear brake is rubbing. With only 1 guest at a time allowed in the store at a time, why can’t we test ride? I’m not sure how I will fix this but other than this, I am very satisfied with the bike.

I really like this shop. Everybody seems very comfortable and willing to help. I asked many questions and eventually settled on a 2013 Trek Mamba. I received a nice discount and included a tune-up. The shop proved itself when - after having the bike on trails for 2+ weeks - I had a size too small. I am a tweener and the reasoning is to order small in mountain bikes. For me, though, I needed the next size up. They really stepped up and swapped this - now - used bike for a brand-new one on order. The cost was only $45 to cover the old bike as a rental. The new bike came in, they set it up and the size is perfect. I am enjoying it very much. Taking a bike back..ordering a new one...no pressure and lots of help? You can't ask for more from a shop. Five (5) stars! PS - I noticed a couple of the negative reviews relate to pricing. I was treated very fairly and given options but never for a second felt pressured. I noticed one review was disappointed on the price..but to me, charging $70 for trained pro to fully assemble and tune a bike out of the box seems very fair to me.

I spent over a month test riding different brands at different shops looking for my first "real" road bike. At David's World, Eric helped me try out a Domane. The store is clean and well organized, and Eric was professional and helpful over a few weeks of my indecision. I had lots of questions and he was happy to answer them all, and helped expedite the process of getting a sold out frame size into the store for me. In the end, he steered me towards a bike that has been fantastic (Domane SL 5 Disc), and the whole purchase experience was excellent. I have also had some after-purchase support in the store. I went down on a slimy wooden bridge and marked my glorious carbon frame when the chain slipped off and hit the seat tube. Sure that I had essentially snapped the bike in half with nothing but my hopes and dreams holding it together, I brought it in and Eric checked it out for me. Turns out I just chipped the paint (along with my dignity), but Eric went above and beyond and adjusted my chain keeper, added a protective film to the frame near the crank, and gave the rest of the bike a once-over, all free of charge. In summary, I have had nothing but great service from David's World, and Eric is an outstanding employee. I have no problem recommending them for your next bike purchase or service. Thanks guys!

What is customer service to you? In the world of Internet shopping, today I was reminded why local businesses at their core are still about customer service. My LBS (local bike shop) David's World Cycle - Carrollwood, has gone above and beyond, resulting in a supporting patron, a happy customer, and someone that will gladly return for future business. So what happened? My wife got a new bike via a promotional program at work, not our LBS. The crew at DWC took us in, despite repetitive return visits they were always patient with us regarding any issue with the bike. Today I got a call from the store manager to find that they had contacted Trek Bikes directly and got my wife a brand new bike. There are more details to go into but in short, they went above and beyond what we expected of them, took initiative, and remembered that taking care of the customer is always good business. very friendly staff, not so good work. had been a few years since riding, so took my MTB in for a check/tune. specifically made them aware of the shock feeling spongy and that the brakes seemed off somehow. they bled the brakes and said the shock was good "because we re-filled it with air and it held" for $92. after one ride, i surmised the oil portion of the shock was blown (and had been blown, but they didn't diagnose it). why did a professional bike mechanic not consider/inspect for this possibility? what upset me most was that i ultimately decided the lever feel was bad before and still bad after - the brakes bit harder, but still had minimal feel (like a light switch) and didn't return the lever. i just broke the entire assembly down today and there is stiction of the piston on the inside of the master cylinder, limiting it's stroke - this is allowing the system to operate, but only in a very small window. i only ride one bike with hydro brakes, but these guys see and experience various ones everyday ...they should've suspected something was wrong. i usually prefer AJ's, but it's quite a distance by comparison.

My first time in this store ever was today! I had a question about my bike. I thought I would be out of place in this bike store. I have a single gear 29" SE bike. I met Andre the GM of this location. This guy is freaking amazing! Friendly and was so excited to help me with my bike. They looked at my bike and gave me an honest quote to get it fixed. I am so impressed with Andre, I would only imagine his staff is just as friendly and eager to help. This man has a true passion for bicycles and it shows in the way he carries himself and his actions. I truly expected to be blown off or priced out the door. Imagine taking your 1993 Honda Civic to a Paganini or Bugatti dealership to ask for an oil change!!! That's what I thought. MAN!!!! WAS I SOOOO WRONG! I should have been coming here for years. Sorry it took me so long to discover you guys here BUT I'm glad I did! Thank you Andre, I truly appreciate you!
