I wanted to love this place but unfortunately if you don’t look like you cycle all day long you probably won’t get the exceptional service everyone here speaks of…not sure why they treated us differently from everyone else just because we didn’t look the part. Kinda bummed. There were literally 3 people standing at the front staring at us as we walked in (they weren’t helping customers at the moment) and didn’t even wave or say hello…everyone else dressed as cyclists got a nice friendly greeting as they entered the doors. Giving 3 stars because they do still have quality products you should check out if you’re in need of parts.

Had a great time shopping for a bike here. I did my research and went in knowing what I was looking for. Jessica was a great rep and made the process fun. I ended up spending twice what I intended to, but when you're a big guy, there's fewer options. The shop was clean, had great displays, and prices for merch. Everyone I talked to in the shop was super friendly and didn't talk to me like I was dumb, which is appreciated. Will go back to them for all my cycling needs, kudos!

The customer service team here is top notch. I purchased my brand new Trek Verve 3 bike with the help of Evan. Staff is very knowledgeable, patient and courteous. When I picked up my bike they did a safety test on it I made sure everything was working properly. They also took the time to attach a back rack to the bike for me which I already own for no extra charge. I rode my bike this afternoon and I can definitely tell the difference between this professional bike and the cheap one I bought at Target which kept falling apart(at least I was able to return it). The brakes and the tires as well as the gear shifting is superb. I highly recommend this bike shop to anyone looking for a high quality bike.

I have been waiting to buy a Trek Fx since 2015. In Feb 2022 I was able to buy a Trek Fx 3.
The staff was friendly and answered all questions very well. I was helped by Raechal A. and she was great. Highly recommend the store and the folks who work here if you’re looking to buy a bike. Also +1 to the location of the store as you can test ride a bike on the green river trail.

I own a Trek bike, and I like Trek, but this place emanates that pretentious, smug, and unhelpful vibe that some LBS have.
I needed to service my n+1 Trek, and figured: why not just go to Trek, especially since the location is convenient too. (Very convenient.)
If you need to service your bike, or need help with anything, I highly recommend you speak with Donovan. He was approachable, available, and helpful. He was also engaged and understood my concerns. I came in needing to do some repairs and also some simple swaps to my bike like replacing tubeless tires (I can do it myself, but it was cost and time-efficient for me to have them swap it out) and he was willing to help. He and the technician put my bike in good working order, and I was able to do some good rides and a metric century a few days after getting it back without problems. It was like having a new bike! I also knew I'd be paying premium prices by taking it to Trek, but the peace of mind in knowing they had the parts (except the cassette!), and had qualified technicians who work on Treks was worth it.
There was another lady, who I think was named Jess, was also friendly too. (I don't expect everyone to be friendly or to start a conversation with me, but the non-consideration or even lack of willingness to help...I'm walking in the store with a bicycle, at least ask me if I need help (I knew where the service department was), implicitly tells customers that they are not necessarily valued. And that's not a good thing.) Also, watching interactions between some of the workers showed that some employees were irritated and did not value each other. If a front of house person comes to the back opening drawers asking for a wrench, help and get her a wrench instead of watching and asking why she's looking in the wrong place.
I'll probably still take my bicycle here whenever I need maintenance or repair work only because the location is convenient, and because the technicians did a superb job (I'll also need a new cassette sometime), but I recommend this place with hesitation. If you do decide to visit, speak with Donovan. He works towards the back where they repair bicycles.
FYI: Closed on Mondays.

Thomas was extremely helpful. I haven't purchased a bike in years and was unfamiliar with the process and what was important to know. He spent the time with me to help me understand the differences between bikes, equipment, and accessories, while at the same time, not pressuring me to buy anything. I feel much more informed and confident in my purchase after the interaction. Would definitely recommend!

Donovan in the service department took a lot of time to walk me through lots of different options for the work that needed to be done on my bike and was great in communicating changes in cost relative to the original quote to make sure I was on board. They did a great job with my MTB tune, dropper install, and new parts install and in general returned the bike squeaky clean with the components all super quiet. Thanks!!

The service department was very thorough when explaining the necessary work and potential work. They provided a complete and accurate estimate with the intention of avoiding unnecessary work. When they were done there was potential work that was necessary and some that was avoided. My bill was less than the estimate. I took my bike on a nice 10 mile test ride and felt confident in the work and enjoyed the feel.Also, everyone was friendly and professional from walking in the door to my departure.I highly recommend, not only this shop, but the Trek brand. Excellent bicycles.

The bike service guy is super friendly and knowledgeable. I took my trek rail 5 here for derailleur adjustment since the chain keep skipping gear and he fixed it right. No charge too since he fixed it super quick. Sram sx derailleur that comes with trek rail 5 sucks though.

I've been here several times and had them do basic stuff like loosening a bottom bracket because I didn't have the tool or just fixing a tubeless tire that was done really bad somewhere else. They've always charged me a reasonable rate and always done the job right.
No snobbery or sales pitching. They just do it right for the right fair price. Highly recommended service.
Trek bikes are good, too, if a bit overpriced bit that's corporate.

For a tiny store their parts department is pretty well stocked. They almost alway have parts for even my my old bikes. I had another nice surprise recently. My tights blew out with more than a month of winter left. They actually still had winter clothes... in winter! Seems most retailers are selling spring and summer things even before the trees have buds on them.

Morgan and Pete were very helpful and friendly. They made the bike purchase experience fun and informative and I didn't feel any pressure from either of them to buy. If you're looking for a Trek bike, these guys are the best. This store has a great selection. If you're thinking about purchasing a bike in 2021 I'd recommend going bike shopping here sooner than later. Don't wait until the Spring to get a new bike for the summer or you may not be able to find what you're looking for.

Bought a bike in June and am very happy with it and the staff @ Southcenter. However when I called to have the free tune-up, they said they were booked for a week and not even making (scheduling) appointments for another week and that I should call back then. Have friend who bought a trek bike @ the Redmond Trek around the same time and had no problem getting his bike in for a tune-up. They're keeping his bike for a few days, but were responsive and helpful. I'll give Trek Southcenter the opportunity to service my bike, hoping it's an unusual circumstance, but this raises red flags.

I was able to easily come in and get a new pair of Delta cleat spinning shoes for my classes. My old spin shoes just weren't cutting it anymore. Although their supply for women's shoes and sizes seem to be somewhat limited, I was able to find a pair I liked right away. The helpful staff also recommended an alternative type of cleat that still worked with the Delta clips but gave me a little bit more wiggle room. Very happy with the purchase. I've already used them twice since my purchase on Monday and I'm pleased at how quickly I can clip and unclip out of my pedals.

Very nice and helpful staff. With this huge bike shortage I’ve been forced to call every Trek location at least twice a week to check their incoming shipments for three bikes I wanted in XL. Calling multiple stores a week gave me a unique prospective on how customer service varies between locations.
Not once did the employee in University Place actually take time to check the stores inventory for the bikes I asked for. They would simply say no and come in to check when they would get one. When I went in they said they wouldn’t have any until April of next year and wouldn’t even put me on a wait list. And because I asked for three different bike models, every time I asked about a different bike I could see the irritation and annoyance in his face. I didn’t even want to spend my money there.
The very first time I called this location and every week after, the employees would actually check their inventory for each bike I was looking for and was even able to put me on a waiting list over the phone as it was 25 miles away from my residence. The employees were present and seemed happy to help. They even told me when they received their shipments so I only had to call once a week at a certain time so they would have time to take inventory.
Due to my persistent calling, I was able to jump on one of the bikes I wanted and payed for it over the phone. Way before April of next year mind you. When I went to pick up the bike, the employee was super helpful. I got to take a test ride on the bike in the lot and found a great helmet for me. I will definitely be buying my wife’s bike and daughters bike from this location, when they come in stock, even though it’s 25 miles away vs the UP location which is 5 miles away.

Neat and clean shop. I called in the morning to check if they had a bike in stock, Roscoe 6. They did, but would have to be put together and volunteered to put next size together as well. I don't trust sales people even ones who work at bike shops, so I went back to the mechanic his name is Kevin, he talked me through several different bikes, we tried out different bikes and when I was done I found the right bike for me.
Kevin made everything go smoothly it wasn't a walk in the store by a bicycle and leave experience, it was take some time ride some bikes feel out the bike that's right for you and leave the store happy. Because he was the mechanic he knew the answers to the questions I had better than the sales people.
I'm sure the sales people at the Southcenter Trek Store know their business and know their bikes but I simply don't trust salespeople these guys didn't show me that they couldn't be trusted it's just my personality.
Everyone there was very friendly very happy and very encouraging when it came to me trying out different bikes and the experience was a good one and the end result for me was that I appreciated being able to talk to a mechanic rather than the sales person and it was a great experience.

I love my new carbon fiber hybrid bike, the FX S 5! The customer service exceeded my expectations. Right before going to the Trek store, I visited different bicycle store nearby and their non participation in protecting their community, by not wearing masks (Only one employee did) - I chose to spend my money with Trek. Trek staff was very good at physical distancing and wearing masks the correct way during my hour long visit. I also love the Trek 30 day guarantee on all of their bikes. When buy a high end bike, you want to make sure you love it.

These guys are absolutely fantastic! When I passed through the Tukwila area in late July of 2020 (on my way from California to the Canadian border), I began experiencing gear shifting problems. Desperate and without options, I dropped into their shop suddenly and without an appointment. Zack welcomed me in, and quickly diagnosed the problem. He made one small adjustment (free of charge), and I was on my way again within minutes. The very next day, a worn gear shifting cable finally snapped, and I was suddenly stranded just north of town, with a completely non-functioning bike. So I went back to the shop (again unannounced). This time, "Oz" (a senior service technician) saved the day. He spent the next couple of hours "performing emergency surgery" on my18-speed. He even went to his house to obtain a part that they did not currently have in their shop! This time, there was a minimal charge for new parts (derailer, cables, etc.). But even then, the cost was minimal ($100 or so), and the service was exceptional. Like most bike shops these days, these guys had a large number of bikes to repair. However, they made me a top priority (since I was not from the area, and in need of immediate service). Excellent people, and expert service. I highly recommend them!

I recently purchased my second bike from the Southcenter store. I enjoyed my interactions with all the staff. The store is always professional in appearance and how they do business. What impressed me the most was that with each bike, it was tuned up and ready to go when I left the store. I understand there is a breaking in period where cable and such stretch and need to be adjusted, but I have some bad experiences with other bike purchases, where the first day on the trail was ruined with faulty shifting, dropping chains, etc. So I really appreciate the state of these bikes when they leave the store.

Tracking down a bike during COVID has been quite the chore, and most shops I've talked to have been overwhelmed, and it showed in their customer service. I like the layout of the store too. Spacious with a good selection of inventory but not cluttered. Had a very good experience buying my bike from the Trek store in Tukwilla. Due to the pandemic season, we had initially inquired about the bikes I was interested in over phone. I was informed about both models Dual Sport 3 in size small and Dual Sport 2 in size large was available. We reached over the store by 4PM as I had mentioned. The store was letting in customers two at a time to allow enough social distancing to be maintained. With a wait a little over 15 mins, we were let inside the store and the personnel were very courteous and helpful. My daughter tried out the Dual Sport 3 and it was good to go from her perspective. For the other model for myself, the sales person informed that it is not available. This part was bit let down but I assume when they confirmed over phone probably there was a mix-up or somebody bought it just before I arrived. I did see one person loading Dual Sport 2 loading in their car while we were waiting outside. That said, I can completely understand the situation. They offered me choices over Marlin 6 and 7. I tried both of those and went with Marlin 6. They were patient with us trying out the cycles and also helped me with getting the seat pipe cut etc. Overall I was very satisfied with the experience.

I purchased a women's Checkpoint 6. I love the bike, it is the best one ever! I would also like to take the time to say how wonderful the people are at the Trek Bicycle in Tukwila. Everyone I worked with was patient and let me ask questions, often the same ones over and over. :) My new bike is set up perfectly; I was not pressured or oversold product which I greatly appreciate. This is my go-to bike store and has been for years, this is my third bicycle I have purchased from them.

great customer service- I turned in my bike for the level 2 service- i haven't serviced/ used my bike in almost 2 years. they called me to keep me updated on what work they recommended, pricing, and asked if i needed anything else before moving forward. practiced the "non-contact" service during these wild COVID-19 times and got my bike back to me within 4 business days or so. i also love the handle bar tape that Brett B. (service dude) chose to match my bike. Rode my bike the day i got it back and that baby was running like it was brand new. def recommend.

I did intend to say more but I have been busy which incidentally demonstrates what my issue was with your store. I went there the 1st day and found out there was a sign in and I had to make an appointment. So I made the appointment for the next day. I went back the next day and the customers before me were still not done by the time for my appointment, so I waited around for 15 minutes then I left. On my 3rd and final visit, I went to the store knowing that I would not be able to see anyone but I wanted to find out about making an appointment but instead asked specifically about just buying what I want. The guy at the door appeared to be helpful but with his mask on all I sensed was that I was working with a robot just spitting facts with no emotion. He told me that the bike I want is and has been sold out all over the state and that NO one has it. So after 3 visits, I did not get to see any bikes at all, and found out that the one I shopped for online is not available. It felt like I wasted my time. Not trying to be a complaining jerk here but a lesson to all of us in the customer field should make every effort to show more concern, interest, customer service because the mask surely didn't help and my visits to your store just heightened my issue about just trying to find a bike for goodness sake.

Went there on a Saturday afternoon to get replacement parts for my bike. It's a very nice store, with a wide selection of bicycles. The staff were very friendly, and definitely knowledgeable! They won't try to upsell you or pressure you to spend lots of money, which I very much appreciated. It's also a huge improvement from its former location, where it was named Bicycles West.

Came into the store on a lazy Sunday looking to see what they had in stock. Was looking for a mountain bike and wasn't sure what to get or what I was really looking for. Brian K. came up to me and greeted me with enthusiasm and kindness. He showed me around the store and helped me choose an E-MTB.
Brian seems to be super-hella knowledgeable about the bike world. Knew his products, and knew very comprehensively the ins and outs of all the comparable models to help make a perfectly executed and educated decision. He walked me thru how everything functions, what suggestions he had for my style of riding, and even set me up with all the accessories I would need to help me along the way.
Brian is a very high-value employee and a wonderful professional that represents his store exceedingly well. It is a very rare occasion to get someone as low-pressure, informative, kind, courteous, and friendly as he. Many sales professionals who know their products well, seem to have an elitist way of treatment of their newer customers; NOT Brian. I really felt very well taken care of.
Although I am sure all Trek stores have the same type of service experience. But Brian is definitely a winner and a great representative of his store and company.
Summarization:
Brian is a very low-pressure sales professional that REALLY knows his products and accessories. He set me up with a new EMTB, bike accessories, automotive bike rack, and even helped with registering my bike with the company. I would highly reccomend Brian and the store in Tukwilla (Southgate). All of their employees are extremely helpful and extremely kind and welcoming.

Great customer service. Extremely knowledgable and helpful. They want you to have the best bike experience possible. But they are super slow at getting you a bike that's in stock at their main facility. I bought two bikes that were both in stock and it's taking two weeks to get them. After a huge purchase like that I would have expected faster shipping. So be prepared to wait.

I have always loved and chosen Trek bikes. When deciding where to buy my third Trek... this one an e-bike to add to the road bike and mountain bike I already own, I thought it best to go to an actual Trek bicycle shop as they know more than anyone about Trek bikes. I was not disappointed. Kyle, the manager, who races bikes, was extremely helpful and friendly, and Dave, the mechanic, owns and commutes on the same e-bike (CrossRip+) that we purchased. I can't recommend this shop enough. They will take care of you!

Besides the great name from Trek bikes. I think the best part is the service that you get from the amazing team. I was over the top satisfied when I bought my bike it seems ages ago from the team the Southcenter store. I’ve taken my bike back for air and assessments and each time they have been nothing but customer focused. A while back I purchased a pump but it isn’t compatible with my current tubes. So I went in and asked for a solution. Fully expecting a chuckle from the associate and then pushed to buy another pump or spend the money on new tubes. Instead he said I have a great solution and we walked back to the shop to find a couple of conversion caps. He said that will be $2. I said that’s it.? He demonstrated how to use them,made sure I didn’t have any questions and sent me on my way. I even asked questions about a road bike which was way out of my league and he kindly indulged my inquiry as if I was seriously thinking about buying the bike. If you want a great customer experience you need to stop by Trek of Tukwila, they are amazing. They don’t just have amazing bikes and accessories! I just feelBad for not getting the Associates name to acknowledge him properly. Thank you Trek of Tukwila. I need to come back to get my RT lights and controller, I’m sold.

No pressure environment. I was actively encouraged to take a few bikes out to test ride them and having the Green River Trail so close made it easy! I'm new to biking so really didn't know the difference between the bikes going in so it was great to be able to test them out. The team spent time walking through and fitting the accessories and then getting the bike set up so everything fit just right for me. The team are obviously made up of bike enthusiasts who know their stuff.

I had an old 2012 Slash, and I broke the chainstay for the second time. The folks here helped me out to see if the bike was covered under warranty and helped set me up with a demo of a newer bike in the meantime for a weekend.
In the end I got the newer bike because the math just worked out better that way in the long run. I have a lot of appreciation for the people here at the shop being patient with me throughout the process and offering advice and input along the way.
The new bike is pretty awesome (Fuel Ex 8), and it does everything my old Slash could and then some. I'm impressed what 8 years has done for bikes, considering the new one has 30mm less travel than my old bike.

Wow. Very impressed with the professionalism and focus to detail.
I have only ever ridden dirt bikes, and walked through the back doors on accident and got only big smiles and actual waves and hellos from workers in the back room. Walked into the front and was immediately greeted by the owner. Again, big warm welcoming smile and a hello. I'm actually quite a bit over weight so felt a little intimidated going into this serious bike store. The owner put me at ease the second I saw his face. He was there to make someone happy with a bike. It was pretty cool. He spent the next two hours with me. He never even looked away from me, not to one of his emplyees, never answered a phone......nothing. he was there for ME! I am so impressed with this guy and company that I had to get on here and write a review. I don't do this often but everyone needs to know where good customer service is, because it's hard to come by. Check this place out. I really can't say enough. They went above and beyond for me.

I've purchased two Trek bikes from Kurt and the team at the Trek store in Tukwila. My current bike was purchased in 2014 and it has been fantastic...until recently. I have had some problems with my brakes and it turned out that there was an issue with my frame that threw the rear disc out of alignment and created uneven wear.
I emailed Kurt to ask him what I should do about the issue. He suggested I connect with his service pros and they will assess the situation and set me up with a loaner while they figure things out.
I dropped my bike off at the shop, showed Charlie the issue, and ten minutes later I walked out with an upgraded version of my bike to ride while my bike was being fixed.
Trek ended up replacing part of my frame under warranty and Charlie and the service pros at the Trek Store got my bike back together quickly, kept me informed as they progressed, and got my bike ready for me the day I needed it.
I can't say enough about the service I've received from Kurt and the Trek Store. Thanks guys.

05/13/21 update - The Team at Tukwila are still the Best - I recently messed up my rear derailleur on my Checkpoint. With the Global shortage of everything Shimano, i was told my Shimano GRX was on backorder, through their supply chain network. Will investigated different options to get me back on the bike as soon as possible - Ultegra works in lieu of GRX.I was able to externally source the Part and Emmett installed on the day I dropped it to the store. Thanks Trek Tukwila , Will and Emmet - These folks care about getting folks out on their bikes and know their stuff - Ill be back, hopefully not for repairs but to buy a new mountain bike !!

Great shop! Had problems in past, very minor. Helped Replaced back rim out bike warranty. But maybe not out of rim warranty. Bike was out of warranty for a couple months but the rim was in warranty for two years because got replaced under two years ago. Bontrager Rims have a two year warranty when replace, so luckily It was under two years. This was the second time this place told me I need to take it back to the original place where I bought it. That’s not actually true, as long as it’s a trek store they all honor each other Specially out of state

Wow. If customer service was half as good everywhere else as it is here I would have way too many bikes than I need. The staff knew their products inside out and helped me decide what type of bike I needed by every aspect I missed and didn't think of. They answered all my questions and explained everything I wasn't sure about I'm honestly blown away by how good the shopping experience was in this store and just wanted to buy everything I couldn't afford lol this is one of the best bike stores I've every been in and I will be sure to spreed the word. Bought a second hand bike off craigslist that started giving me problems and my GF had recommended this place so I stopped by.
Not only did the representative tweak my bike enough to get it going again, he showed me how to maintain it myself and all in a matter of minutes. To top it off, he didn't even charge me for it!

The experience I had at Trek Tukwila was unmatched. I was set up with a demo bike and taken on a ride by some of the emploeyes. Brian and OZ took me to their local riding spot at Tuger Mountian. They were very knowldegable about the trails and made sure I was able to ride terrain within my abailty. One of the best bikes I have ever been on and I owe alot of that experience to the emploeyes in this shop. Trek is massively underrepresented in the PNW and it's been really nice to have a corporate-owned store in the Seattle area that has the full line up as well as all the good Bontrager stuff. It's great to be able to walk into the shop with a plan, "pick up the new Bontrager hip pack," "get a look at the Stache 9.8" and know that not only they're going to have it, but the staff has tried, tested, formed an opinion of it. Everyone I've encountered at the shop rides, is vested in cycling in one form or another, and will sit and talk trails, bikes, etc. with you. The shop feels like a mom and pop with the added benefit of having the full inventory of Trek and Bontrager sitting on the shelves.
