The shipping container/ box was banged up pretty good especially the bottom of the box.The Rad Runner Plus appeared to have been packed pretty well, but unfortunately the Shimano seven speed shifter was damaged. More than likely the damage incurred during FedEx shipping, but maybe packaging around the shifter could have been better as well ??
I contacted a Rad customer representative who was very helpful and without hesitation ordered me a new Shimano shifter. They also offered to reimburse me for charges incurred for installation of the Shimano shifter. The only problem, was my down time and standard shipping. It appears It’s going to be a week to 10 day arrival for my warranty part. The original shipping on the Rad Runner plus and accessories was only three days turn around. I think with a warranty part, shipping should be the same as purchase or overnight or two day, especially since your bike is out of service
They even offered locations close to my ZIP Code that would work on their Rad E bikes.
Only one of three locations presented to me was located in my hometown and the other two was an hour distance away In opposite directions.
While waiting for the shifter, I contacted several cyclery and E-bike shops in town and they refused to work on the Rad, because it was not purchased from them. That actually was my main concern buying online, but I like the Rad E bikes better than any other E bikes.
I’m must say the Rad Runner Plus is a quality well built E-Bike and sharp looking.
I purchased the Rad Runner because of the $200 off special. I’ll probably buy another one before the sale runs out on 8/29/22. I just hope next time around It arrives without damage

Fantastic experience with both the quality of the bikes my wife and I purchased and the customer service experience. Great bikes at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them.

This bike ( The Radcity 5 plus) is the most comfortable bike I have Ever owned. Love the bike. Great quality. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. Spokane has Rad Riders everywhere. Keep up the great work!

I bought a Rover 6+ Bad battery out of the box. Sent all required information in email. 7 days later still no reply. This bike is a week old and has never been ridden. Rad doesn't seem to care much about their customers.
Update: My friend went to the Rad store in Seattle today and Jonathan was very helpful and exchanged the defective battery. I suggested this to the online service rep but had no reply.
Had my first ride today and the bike is fantastic!
You still need to get your online service network better coordinated.

I am revising my review, because Rad Power Bike in Seattle was so awesome in helping me resolve an issue with customer service from corporate.
I purchased the Rad Rover step thru, and absolutely love it. The bike is built like a tank, and I feel secure in going high speeds downhill because the bike is so solid that I am not concerned about small bumps. I will say that what I love about the bike, which is its stability and size, make it not an ideal for use in tight urban spaces, so I would choose a different bike for urban use. Also, the bike is huge and heavy, and doesn't easily fit into an SUV without a hitch-mounted bike rack. The Hollywood Sport Rider bike rack is the one I use to mount it, and it works great.

***Update***Upgrade to five stars. Daniel came through with all the fixes he proposed. I took it out a local bike shop and had the bike fixed and Rad reimbursed us for the cost, including labor. Also, discounted an order we had in. We are now completely up and running. I understand Rad can not control the shipper (in this case FedEx), but having someone to answer a phone and start the process goes a long way to making the purchase worth while.
***Update *** Upgrade to two stars. 08/20
Read another review that had a phone number in it. Called the number and spoke to Daniel who was very helpful and got the repair process started with many options all working in tandem to ensure the quickest fix.
I had to dig and find a number and the problem isn’t solved yet, so we will wait and see what happens.
We have owned (used) Rad bikes in the past and have enjoyed them immensely.
We purchased two brand new bikes which were delivered last weekend. While putting my wife’s together we noticed the front brake cable and brake rotor were damaged. We reported it to Rad four days ago and have not yet received any help except their computer generated response. I am reading other reviews here and I am noticing a theme emerging about service after the sale.
The weather is great here in the PNW. I wish my wife and I could ride our bikes together.

The staff here are amazing! They give me some recommendations and test rides on multiple models. I got a RadMission and a shop assembly with a free tune up. Their service team is super patient and helpful (thanks Daniel)! Everything works great so far for a month and I’m really enjoying my bike!

We have enjoyed our Rad Mission bikes for the past two years. This weekend I encountered a problem when trying to charge one of our batteries. I inadvertently plugged the the wrong charger in the battery. When I realized it and switch to the Rad charger, but the battery would not take a charge. Being late Saturday I was happily surprised when I got a tech support personal on the phone. He troubleshot the problem and determined that the 5A fuse had probably blown. He gave me instructions on fixing the problem and emailed me a link explaining the steps by step way to replace the 5A fuse. Problem solved and now we are enjoying the last two weeks of our month long RV vacation. So far we logged 295 miles on the on our Rad Mission bikes. It’s nice to know you get great Customer Support when you own a Rad bike.

Drove up from Portland to test ride a couple bikes. Kate was amazing and super helpful. Wonderful showroom with a repair center right next door. A one stop shop with plenty of accessories to add the finishing touch to your ride. Big thumbs up. And yes, I bought two bikes that were shipped for free to my home.

I LOVE my Rad Power electric bike, I get so many compliments anywhere I go. Also, their customer service is great, they are ready to help, super friendly, and will go out of the way to make the client happy. I dealt with Phil and couldn't be more satisfied. Super recommend!

Very easy buying experience!! Staff is very helpful and friendly! I love the bike and the fact that they offer test rides on all models is awesome! Just a minor detail, I think some organization is needed in the showroom for stock, they have to have someone physically see what they have? Don't always have the bikes put together if you are buying one? I understand that Rad is a direct to consumer retailer but I think a computer program could help with inventory so any employee can pull it and say yes we have 10 of those in stock or no we don't. Also if I am going to buy a bike in person I would like it to be built plus add any accessories I may purchase, I was lucky they had one built. I would highly recommend Rad Power bikes, they are awesome!! I will be back for my future needs and service. Overall very satisfied! Can't wait to see what Rad develops in the future.

Finally pulled the trigger and bought my first ebike. I have been looking at them for last 5 years. Bought the Rad Expand 5 because it was foldable and the pedal assist plus throttle makes this bike an easy decision to buy. Can't beat the price either. But the service is a step above the rest for sure! They delivered it to my doorstep, answered all my questions, made sure I was comfortable riding it. This is a bike that truly will be one that you will bike and not break a sweat.

We have two RAD City bikes and love them! I get 40+ miles on a charge.Have 6200 miles on one and 3500 on the other. Pretty much care free. From Connecticut but visiting Seattle this week and looking forward to visiting the store.

My RadCity frame cracked after less than 2 years of use but outside of the 1 year warranty period. It took more convincing than I would have liked but Rad Power eventually came around to replacing the bike despite it being out of warranty. Still taking off one star because they should have just stood behind their product in the first place.
Rob Goolsby
Shipping was fast and bike was easy to assemble and is a blast to ride. Down sides are two things - The bike derailers on both of our bikes jump in and out of gear. I made adjustments and they work well for a bit, but don't seem to stay that way for long. I don't think the battery life will make the 45 mile range that was posted. I rode the bike with the pedal assist at 5 on mostly flat ground for five miles and the battery only had three bars on it (from 10) when I got back. I like that this bike has a twist throttle and pedal assist options. I am happy with our purchases.

After 9 months with my Rad city 5plus step thru I am totally satisfied with my experience with Rad City. They have come thru with all their promises and quick responses to my various emails from the integrated lithium battery to my hydraulic brakes. I have learn a lot about ebikes and thank radcity for the knowledge and wisdom available to all Rad city customers. Their Customer Service is the best I've seen to date. They follow-up quickly and never leave you hanging. I happen to be at my local bicycle chain and witnessed first hand how a customer was treated. He recently bought a $6,000.00 ebike that needed a tune up and work on his pistons. 3 people working in the store told him to come back in 2 weeks to make appt. That's how backed up they are. I have a ebike at 1/3 the cost and all my issues were identified and action was taken to issue me the parts to get me up and running. He was with his little girl and swore all the way out of the store. I was there to get a brake cable for my wife's ebike. 3 times I came back to get the right length for a tandem (step thru) brake cable. This would not happen with Rad City.
Thanks Rad City CS crew for the wonderful experience from day 1 to the present. I'm hooked on your products.

Great showroom. Super nice people. No shirts my size…. I took a test ride
Dane Sorensen
I had an issue that was a 1 off and most people won't experience. It was not strictly covered by their normal warranty, trial period, etc. The customer service at Rad listened to me, came up with a solution and fixed the problem at their expense even though they didn't technically have to. Would not hesitate to buy another Rad bike, customer service is top notch.

Rad is ... well .. Rad! And I'm saying this as a nearly 80 year old guy who's had a very fine experience with these folks. I love the bike and I love the service they have given me, which has been beyond what I expected or really, even hoped for. Absolutely first rate!

Jeff was super nice. Gave me the information I needed but wasn't pushy or "salesy." Went on a test ride which was easy to sign up for, no line to wait or appointment. There's a park and suburban area that's nice to test ride in. Stop signs and neighborhood roundabouts. Other employees were helpful, greeted me, and answered questions. Definitely enjoy the atmosphere of helpful people and quality products. I'm still on the fence about an ebike, but if I get one, I'm definitely getting it from here!

Great customer service and a beautiful showroom. I ended up purchasing a RadRover 6 Plus from them and it's been a tank. Ride it to work in rain, sleet, and snow with no issues whatsoever. Sure it's expensive, but it beats walking.
Lukas Kucinski
I had a great experience with them. Their employees were very helpful and kind. I really loved how i was able to test ride the bikes. They just take keys/phone/wallet as collateral and make you sign-in/provide contact info. I was interested in the cargo bike (radwagon) and they provided a 50lbs weight for testing. The bike flies. Loved how it has a throttle and 20 mile radius. Supposedly the bike is heavy (72lbs minus accessories) but I was able to pick it up pretty easily. Should be fine to wall mount. Overall I think they're selling a quality product and they make the testing/buying process simple. I would recommend.

Amazing products! I received my RadRover Step Thru about a month ago and have loved it! I feel I can ride a bike again without the worry of hills or getting the peddles going, it is a breeze with this e-bike. The shipment came in a well packaged box and was fairly simple to put together (took me a bit to figure out the handle bars, but that was my lack of knowledge!). I also order a back rack and the enhance headlight, they both arrived quick and were easy to install! The bike is sturdy and easy to get on and off. I am 6'1 and about 260 lbs (so not a small guy) and I am able to ride comfortably! Awesome company!
Jon Westlake
Love the bike but feels odd that there is no option to buy online and pick up in store. I live near this store but had to wait a week for the bike to arrive. Not a big issue but would really improve the process for locals to pick up in store and save time/money on both ends.

Rad Power Bikes not only builds some pretty rad rides but their entire team of employees genuinely care about their customers needs. This fast growing small company exemplifies what customer service is all about for the past 3-1/2 years we’ve done business with them — since 2016 when they were just a start-up.
All of their bikes are built ruggedly to withstand the daily rigours of riding in nearly any terrain or weather condition. Their e-bikes make steep hills a breeze to climb without any effort. Plus these bikes can travel an incredible length of distance just on one charge... if you baby your motoring usage. They claim riders can travel up 35-45 miles on a single charge which is a conservative figure if you’re easy in your power usage. We’ve gone as far as 60 miles (hills included) with plenty of battery juice remaining to potentially ride another 20 miles more.
You can get a decent workout if you choose if you don’t want to use as much juice which does extend your distance. But if you don’t want to break a sweat, you can motor on and feel confident you’re not going to be left stranded powering through at the end. Bring your charger with you to work or school during the day to recharge and extend your ride.
There’s hoards of Rad accessories to add to your bike to make it super functional as well. Baskets, racks, bags, etc.
There may be plenty of e-bike competitors in the industry, but you have to ask does the company offer stellar support and customer service for what you pay similarly to what Rad Power Bikes offers? We haven’t found many who do. In this day and age, customer service is becoming rarer. Rad does it best!
Our bikes has opened up so many opportunities for us to see more within our local community that we would’ve never been able to do in a car. Plus our cats LOVE riding in their bike baskets with us all over the place too. Rad is also furry friendly business as well.

I had a noise at my rear wheel that I couldn't locate. While driving from Montana through Salt Lake City en route south, I stopped at the Rad Service Center, only to learn that they were booked through the rest of the month. But they found time to look at my bike, determine the problem (loose spokes that were creaking) and repair it. They did right by me.
29 September 2022 - Squeaking noise back a week after tightening. Applied WD-40 to points where spokes cross each other. Squeaking gone.

If i could i would give RAD a 100 star rating! I have had 4 RAD models in the last 4 years... the original cargo turned out to be too big for me and i sold it after 250 miles. I replaced that bike with the original step over RAD mini that I LOVED and rode for 3,003 mi in 2 years. By the end of the 2 years i was wearing a brace for my bad knee and decided to sell the step over which i replaced with a RAD step thru mini. I rode The step thru mini for 2,740 miles in one year before i decided that i strictly did road riding so i bought a RAD step thru City and sold the mini step thru. It has been 40 days Since the City was assembled and as of tonight i have 695 miles on it and have LOVED riding every one of those miles! RAD has been there for me whenever i had a mechanical question or needed advise about an accessory. They have worked with me every step of the way and is a great company to do business with.

UPDATE: I got back in contact with Rad Power Bikes and had a much better result with a different representative. I wish I could give this a 5 but I could not leave out the fact that one customer service agent blatantly hung up on me which is completely unacceptable. I am now very satisfied with the bike and the issue was fixed and I know have a working e-bike that I have yet to have any further problems with.
ORIGINAL: Within a week of buying the bike I had problems with charging the battery. I made multiple calls and all the representatives could do was make excuses and have me go out of my way to do something for a bike that is malfunctioning. I am starting the return process and going to be purchasing from a different company. Extremely unsatisfactory and terrible customer service. I would give a 0 star if possible.

Just used Rad Mobile Service in Miami to correct a Pedal Assist sensor issue. Making the appointment was quick and easy. Jason arrived precisely when promised and delivered an ULTRA-professional, touch-free repair and safety check from the impressive Rad Mobile Service air-conditioned service van. I will reach out whenever the need arises. Thanks for creating a super-happy and satisfied Rad Rider.

Great products, helpful staff and they're located in a good neighborhood for test rides. You're probably going to want to try several of them because each one feels very different when riding it. The city bikes are most like riding a regular bike and are the quietest because of their direct drive motor. The rover and mini have geared motors and have more torque that you will especially notice if you goose the throttle while getting going. The mini has the most torque because the smaller wheels aren't trying to move the bike as far with each revolution of the motor.
The best thing about their retail store is that you will have all the time you need to decide which bike is right for you. If you live anywhere near Seattle, it will be worth the trip to try the bikes in person.
Richard Bond
Extremely friendly staff, they had no problem letting me road test multiple bikes multiple times, answering endless questions, putting up with my indecision. I will go back in the next day or so and buy a bike - they are locally owned, highly rated and so nice i kind of want to go hang out with 'em.
The bikes are also fantastic.. :) I have been debating, but I think I will go and get the Rover. It is just so much fun to ride and life is short.

We are senior RV'ers and wanted electric bikes for exploration while we travel. My wife does not do good with gears, the simpler the better! We were attracted to the RadRunner because of it's utility and low step through. In our travels we have come across a lot of ebike owners. The Rad Power Bike owners all seemed very happy with their purchase and spoke highly of their customer support. We have received our bikes and my wife has thanked me several times for buying them. We have since ordered some accessories to make them our own!

Great bikes, great service, fast shipping. After a lot of research Im glad I choose Rad. Not surprised they have won a lot of awards. Thanks
Daniel Tuttle
I'd been looking at electric bikes for over a year. I'm glad I waited. When I first came across Rad Bikes, I could tell they were in a much different class. My City step-thru is simply a beautifully machined bike. I can get to work faster than by about other means without arriving sweaty. It's also just a blast to ride. Add on the Suntour shock-absorber seat post for the smoothest ride you'll ever experience.
Life altering 🌼

Love Love Love my new Rad Bike. I researched ebikes for over 2 years including modifying a standard mountain bike with an ebike kit vs actual ebikes. Rad came out on top time and time again. I rented a Rad at my local bike shop, Local Motion and I was surprised how much I loved all the features and the bike. In one day on the rental I rode 30 miles! In fact I kept thinking about the bike for weeks after and when a model I was eyeing came in stock for a day, I jumped at it! No regrets! I ride nearly every day now. I've been working 8-12 mile rides in during my lunch hour. When I'm back in the office full time (post Covid) I plan on working my Rad into my work commute. Since I've had the bike I've lost weight! Regular exercise and pushing myself to use less assistance but having it when I need it is amazing. It builds my confidence daily. People ask me all the time about my ebike and I proudly tell them where I purchased it and encourage them to test ride it and make up their own minds! I think in the Spring Rad is going to be sending a lot more bikes to Vermont! ;)
Bill Sharpe
I knew exactly what I wanted in all aspects. At 63, I think the Rad Mini will complement our wilderness & RV adventures. It's quite the bike for low $$$.
My mistake was signing for boxes with four holes & scratched / scuffed parts. My thriftiness thought I could get a fair amount off to cover FedX carelessness. I asked for $100 per bike & got half that on a $350+ parts order. :( MY BAD for being cheap! )
Definitely rent one or take a long test ride if your near Seattle or Fort Stevens. :)
Electrek.co has good info on the GREAT many ebikes on the planet...

I chose Rad because after looking at all the bikes on the market, the Rad was the most comfortable. I was delighted with the bike and took it out to ride with my 85 year old father who is an avid cyclist. When he became fatigued on his standard bicycle I traded bikes, he was thrilled. He liked it so much I bought one for him too! 2 weeks and he already has over 300 miles on it. My arthritis limits my endurance and becomes really cranky if I do too many hills, but my Rad keeps me rolling so that I get the same thrill of riding, just not with pain. Fantastic quality, fair pricing, very happy.

I bought my RAD CITY commuter bike two years ago in the Ballard store. Since that time I've probably logged 100 or so rides. I love this bike! It's never had a mechanical issue and I have thoroughly enjoyed this bike! I've taken it on the ferry to Lopez Island and rode around the island, I've taken it on lots of weekend rides exploring great places locally. This Spring I had the mobile tune up done right in my driveway. GREAT service and a great price for personalized one on one service. They tightened up and tuned everything up. I'm going to have this done every 500 miles to keep my bike in great shape. The folks at the store are always super helpful. I did a LOT of research before purchasing this bike and it was on the short list of three final candidates. I settled on the RAD brand because of the location of the Ballard store and the price and value of the bike. I have ZERO regrets and I love my bike. I pamper this bike and have never taken it out in the rain, I wipe it down every time it has gotten wet and I keep it meticulously maintained. I am six foot three and weigh 210 and I am VERY comfortable riding this bike. I highly recommend it. I added a custom CLOUD seat and a spring seat post, a rear view mirror, and a back rack. I use a THOUSAND brand helmet with the latest shock and impact absorbing technologies. Safety always comes first over price. I would give this bike a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10, all things considered. It's an excellent value for the price.

As someone who purchases anything after thorough research and with detailed inquiries, Rad Power Bikes in Ballard, WA covers all fronts. From extremely courteous sales staff to super friendly tech support, there is NOWHERE ELSE ANYONE should go to buy an electric bicycle other than from Rad Power Bikes in Ballard, Washington.
I purchased an E-Bike with so many specifics that it was sure to be an issue of communication as I had spoken with so many of the wonderful staff.
Upon some misinformation of setting up my customized E-bike due to so many staff taking notes of my customized requests, CORY a technician made it absolutely sure everything was done as I had first indicated.
Cory and the Rad team crew are all super friendly and very accommodating to your every need!!! There is REALLY nowhere else someone should go to buy an E-Bike!!! They make you feel like family such as suggesting routes around the greater Seattle area and more!!!
They're not about sales. They have advised me about how such and such would be more of a hinder if I installed this or that or how I can cut costs of parts by going with a certain basket instead of a rack.
The entire staff, from the sales team to the technicians all are in full support even if you are just browsing, to make sure you are given all pertinent information and any test rides as much as you want.
I cannot give enough kudos to the entire team at Rad Power Bikes in Ballard, Washington but especially to Cory Cramer who went above and beyond to make sure my complexly customized order was to be installed and built according to my exact liking.
To Rad Power Bikes, totally an award winning title well deserved!
I only wish Rad would set up more locations further out into the U.S.!

Bought a RadExpand5 online along with some accessories. The expected shipping date was earlier this month so I called customer services to inquire. Unfortunately there's been a significant delay. I decided to return a few of the accessories as I didn't need them without the bike, and the turnaround time for that service was incredible. Within 36 hours. So while I still don't have the bike I am very pleased with how available customer services are to assist with making the experience of purchasing a bike better and a lot less stressful. Hoping I get my bike soon.

Nice clean showroom, and ample parking on their lot. All the bikes were displayed and you can test ride any bike you may be interested in. The local streets are tight and at times you need to allow oncoming traffic to pass.

I ordered my Rad Rover 5 and FedEx kept saying it was on a truck out for delivery. After 4 days they finally said they lost the bike. I contacted Rad power bikes and the sent a replacement bike out immediately. This has been the best customer service I've experienced in a while. I have only tried the bike once due to weather. But it was a blast to ride. Thanks for everything.

First off, we have 3 brands of Fat Tire E Bikes in our immediate family. We have had our Rad for a couple weeks now and had a problem with the kickstand out of the box. I emailed Rad and within 10 minutes I received a reply stating a new kickstand was being shipped !! That's a Big WOW especially these days. And after a terrible time dealing with one of the other bike manufacturers whose name starts with Hi#@&^% it's great to see some outstanding Customer Service! The Bike now has 40 miles on it and everything seems great with the exception of power. Both of the other brand Bikes also have 750 rated motors like the Rad but exhibit considerably more power? I suppose I wouldn't know this except for having ridden the other bikes. Thus my 4 vs. 5 stars.

Haven’t been to the showroom but bought a rad rover, a mini and now 2 city’s. Totally stoked and love all the comments and kudos from tourists visiting our amazing city : Juneau Alaska!!

My buying experience with Rad Power Bikes has been wonderful. Customer service immediately reached out to me after my order to make sure everything was good to go for smooth sailing. Customer support is number 1 for me and they knocked it out of the park. Highly recommend their top notch service!

Just hit 2400 miles (1200 each) total on my rad mission bikes. smooth maintenance pick up today. Highly recommend. Look forward to more commuting on my ebike.

We were told no discount for nurses/military...but next asked if we worked for Microsoft, Apple or Tesla they offer a discount indefinitely. I emailed corporate and was told the same. Very lame
Response: In May 2020 there was a discount. It was removed in October reportedly due to fraud? But there is no fraud from your revolving discount for the tech giants, top-earners. : /
[October 2020 update: Unfortunately it was discovered that a large number of people who did not qualify for these discounts were abusing the system to take advantage of Rad Power Bikes’ generosity. For that reason, the company has been forced to close the discount offer. The remainder of this article is being left for documentation, but the original discounts for teachers, military, medical services and first responders are no longer available.]
8/8/2022 Update: I'm increasing my rating due to your newest discount for first reponders/military, thank you. Additionally, shipping was quick, despite it being from fedex who is the worst at predicting arrival dates. They've changed the date 3x already.

We have two Rad Power Bikes we truly enjoy, tech support got back to me within 24 hours. Great bike to own even after the purchase.

Our Rad Power Bikes experience began with their excellent customer service team. We wanted to take advantage of their "buy a bike, get an accessory 50% off" offer, but the bike rack we wanted was out of stock. We gave them a call, they got our bikes ordered, and promised to notify us when the racks were back in stock and made a note on our account that the 50% discount and free shipping would be honored. And they did! Delivery time frame for the bikes was as promised, and for the first time I actually appreciate the continuing company emails. They give great advice on ways to care for our bikes and how to take full advantage of the riding experience. Our bikes are WAY MORE FUN than I had even anticipated, which makes our goal of replacing car trips with bike trips that much more attractive and attainable. Thank you Rad Power Bikes for, well, being so RAD!
Jyjon Rodriguez-Matos
Great! Just great! Helped me with all my questions regarding an ebike, and they are affordable (still a good chunk if money though, but I’ve seen some places price ebike a high and have less to offer than Rad Power Bikes). Keep up the great work!

My experience is a long story (about 4 months) and involved Rad and Rad's service supplier in Ontario.
There were errors by both parties...
However, Rad reacted immediately to my problems and provided a resolution... even when they were not at fault... I beleive their comment to service is genuine. Any contact I had with service staff was totally positive (even when I accidentally pocket emailed🙄).
As for the service person who took on my file, I could go on indefinitely, which is what makes this a long story, but I'll spare you the details😉😊. To sum it up as best I , Julia (Wodenski) was TOTALLY AWESOME! I can't thank her enough for working through what was the most frustration purchase of my life... and I'm 69😉
And by the way, the bike is perfect for what I wanted..... If you are looking for a power bike I would highly recommend you look at Rad.... if it's not what your looking for it's still the gold standard to compare power bike to.
Thanks for getting this far☺

I bought this babe two months ago and it's a really good investment. I bought it at store, so today I went to my free maintanance appointment. I have to confess it took them almost 1month to get it schedule, but the wait was worth it. They fix my breaks, my rack, my gear. Everyone is really patience and kind to explain you and will answer all your questions.

We absolutely love our Rad Rover fat tire bikes! We rode them a few weeks ago as rentals and could not wait to get our own. They are a great value for power, usability and off-pavement fun. We just can't wipe the smiles off our faces!!

I have bought 3 bikes so far. The store seems short-staffed (like most businesses these days), but they are still so friendly and helpful.

Rad bikes has an amazing test drive/ buying experience. All of the staff seems to have the perfect balance of being there when you need help, and not bothering when you don’t. They let you test ride with no hassle or sales pressure and make the whole experience great. We bought two bikes from the showroom and the guy helping us was extremely helpful in fitting both bikes into my tiny car. The bikes are absolutely amazing, super sturdy and powerful, even for a big guy! We had a small tuning issue with the deraileur and they helped us fix it over the phone in 5 minutes. The bikes are amazing, and the great customer service is so refreshing. Want to get an E-bike and support a local Seattle company with a great team? Go with Rad Power Bikes.

After seeing lots of online Ads and reviews I was able to finally touch and ride a Rad to get a better understanding of what these bikes were about.

I have always believed in love at first sight. With a 60+ point of view, my wife and I began researching eBikes to boost our biking options. For me, it was a bit like looking for my first car...very exhilarating to watch the various videos and explore the features, quality aspects, and price value. We were looking for a single bike style which would work for height ranges <5'2" to 6'2">. I wanted one eBike type that I would be able to learn, teach, and maintain for both of us(I am a DIY sort). RadRover looked like the one for us. I called and spoke with customer service (Eric-fun and enlightening), ordered online, the product shipped on schedule (10 days with tracking), it arrived completely in tact(great packaging), and was 85% already assembled. I added sport front and rear fenders and a rear rack. I also put in a new stainless steel post with a royal gel cushioned seat. Both of us upgraded our helmets to MIPS with inner lining hats(New England winter). I completed the assembly by pressurizing the tires, mounting the quick release front tier, and attaching the optional rear fender's quick release to the bike frame instead of the seat post. In this way, I was able to ensure easy quick release action on the seat post so both of us could use this one together for our trial. My first ride was the reward of the new year, as the bike lived up to my expectations on every dimension. The integration of the gearing, hub motor with pedal-assist and throttle override was smooth and balanced with the size and weight of the bike. The disk breaking was efficient and dynamic, cutting off either throttle or pedal-assist and stopping the bike with ease. I have run the bike through all the combinations (gears/PedAssist-throttle override) in a safe park setting which had both paved roads and snow/ice trails. I will add that every personI passed by that was in ear shot threw out unsolicited complements on the bike. After a 2 mile road ride I was sure enough to take it on the snow. I had inflated my tires to 15psi front 16psi rear, which gave great performance and control on both surfaces. I know for sure the "younger set" would ride rad a bit differently, but for our "style"-about 10-12mph on average with firm wheel pressure worked perfectly. Going up hill was like going downhill for the grades on the trails at the park. As 60+ players with reasonable athletic abilities, both my wife and I are thrilled to have this new way to experience bike riding. Especially for Sharon who had begun shying away from getting out on the bikes based on winds, hills, and longer distances, RadRover has put the magic back in this healthy fun sport and we look forward to a wonderful 2017 outdoors on RadRover. My birthday is March 2...hmmm I am planting the hint with Sharon with this post :).

Awesome bikes and even better customer service. Showroom is definitely worth a visit if considering one. Radwagon gang!

Love my Rad City4! I ride a lot and now have 4 bikes. Road, gravel, upright, and now this ebike. Mostly ride my carbon road bike but this electric bike has opened up a lot of new riding for me. Easy to do errands/shopping and any weight I add from purchases is no big deal. And it's made the climb back up my hill to get home a lot less of a hassle. A bit disappointed in their 25% restocking fee for the accessory I purchased and was thinking of returning but oh well.

I was so happy to take advantage of the Black Friday sale on one of your Stepthru models! A discount of $700 was great and I should be getting it in the next day or two!

The bike is great. When I call the customer service/help line they actually answer the phone within a couple of minutes!! The folks I've spoken to on the phone have been very helpful. Only four stars because the assembly, done by someone I assume RadBikes chose, left me with a front wheel which needed to be reattached after the third ride (it was falling off). And the technician then left the LCD disconnected which meant that the bike would not turn on. The fellow on the phone had me back on the road in no time.

Our new Bikes arrived promptly as promised and are simply great! However, we've ordered some accessories from Rad Power and some have STILL not shipped, despite their website's "ships in two days" assertion.

Excellent product and customer service! My wife purchase E Bike and was very impressed on quality and overall product. I ordered mine and accidently submitted wrong shipping address on a weekend. Within about an hour, I had an e mail that customer service had corrected the situation! Very impressed with customer service and their website is very user friendly to order! Website is very user friendly to order on!!! HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS COMPANY!!!

Great help in ordering my second rad bike. The first one wiggled out of the bucket of the frond end loader and was totaled when I drove over it.
When contacting Rad so I can schedule arrangements for delivery they were prompt to get back to me the next business day. I hope the reason no one replies on weekend is that they are out riding their Rad products.😎

When I called the company regarding a small issue with my Rad, I was very impressed with the quick response from Josh. I can tell that the culture at RadPower is excellence, service, and empathy for it's customers. They had relevant advice for me and Josh got the issue resolved quickly and professionally.....even after 3 years of owning my Rad!
Keep up the great work!

Just got my Rad City bike and it is fantastic! It's very hilly where I live and, at my age (68), hard to ride a conventional bike. A friend recommended Rad Power Bikes and I bought one. It arrived well packed and I put it together inside of an hour. Everything is well made and solid. Just rode 6 miles to shake it out and I am more than impressed. I can still get a good workout with just enough power to assist going up hills. I'm 6'4", 240 lbs on the 19" frame version and it is perfect. This bike has plenty of power if you want a easy commute. I'll be riding this everyday now. Excellent tutorials, reviews and support from the people at Rad in Seattle. I will be buying my wife one closer to spring. You're going to love this bike.

I have owned ebikes for years - back in 2011 with my first one in Taiwan. RadBikes have gotten great reviews! Their website is loaded with pertinent information that makes it easy to understand exactly what I am ordering. Can't wait for the new ebike to arrive!

My wife and I just purchased two Rad City 3 bikes and we are very pleased with the bikes and the Rad Mobile service here in Austin, 'TX. The process started with setting up an appointment for a test ride at our house.
The test ride confirmed that these were the best bikes for our intended use. The professionalism of the mobile advisor (Michael) really impressed us and he showed us all of the features of the bikes. We placed our order with him the next day.
Our bikes were delivered within a week assembled and with the selected accessories properly installed. We went on another test ride and Michael went over the proper care and maintenance of the bikes and the battery chargers.
We are now happy e-bike owners!!! We recommend Rad Power Bikes Austin if you are considering purchasing an e-bike.

These are the coolest bikes!! Guys that work here are super chill, they're easy to test ride and not expensive. RAD owns the company and makes assembled them here. Ships free to US. Getting mine this week!!

This place is amazing! Thank you so much to Rad team member Noah at the Ballard location for very patiently and kindly answering my floppity-zillion questions. He super made my day!! I left with a giant smile on my face and a bike (and accessories) I am seriously stoked about! I literally did a little dance in the shop! Should be noted he did not try to “sell” me on the most expensive bike— he truly listened to what I wanted, asked me some really thoughtful questions and made a great recommendation! I feel really good about the whole experience and would 100% recommend Rad, and Noah to anyone in the market! This is our second Rad bike, in only as many weeks. We bought a Rad Wagon recently and immediately knew we needed a second bike so the whole fam jam could bike around together! Thank you so much! And to anyone idly thinking about getting a Rad bike— DO IT! It is SO FUN!!💥💥💥

We purchased 2 bikes a RAD CITY(mine) & RAD ROVER(hers), we LOVE the HECK out of these Bikes!!! Unfortunately, I ran a empty aluminum can over, got inhaled by my sweet tire and cracked the front fender. Called the support staff, willing to purchase a new replacement, only to be told it's covered....All we can say is AWESOME COMPANY with GREAT Customer Support...The Best!

Original 1 star review text, see edit at bottom:
Keep an eye on your ID when you test ride, they will not help you remember to get it back when you leave due to their disorganization. I ended up leaving mine behind due to my mistake and them shuffling up who is handling test rides every 5 minutes, went back to get it and they had already mailed it off to an address that can't receive mail, despite having all my contact info from BUYING A BIKE.
I managed once to talk to a live person on the phone and they said they would look into it but never called me back. The phone always rings and rings and goes to voicemail, but voicemails are never returned.
What a hassle. This is a review of the location, not the product.
edit: Someone did reach out to me quickly after posting this review and apologize and indicate they will be changing their practices on collecting ids to make this less likely to happen, and give me a small discount on the purchase I made, so I'm satisfied with that given it was also my mistake, so I updated the review to 3 stars as a more neutral caution.

Purchased two RAD city 5's. Went to ride on a sunny day. One bicycle did not work. Needless to say. Very disappointed to miss our first ride. Loaded both bikes back into to the truck and returned to the store. Brought my bike in and greeted by the tech. I outlined the problem. The tech immediately test and confirmed the problem. They attempted to replace parts and check connections to no avail. Final result after 20 minutes, they replaced the bike with a new one. I'm glad we live close. Those who are far away, I would be concerned.

What a perfect name for these bikes- -because they are rad! We've had ours for about three weeks and are riding them every day. I am in general a mechanical failure but assembly was easy aided by the video tutorial. These are our first e-bike but we test rode a number and found the step through RadRunners we purchased are perfect for our interests and needs. We've already added front and rear fenders, water bottle holders, phone holders and rear baskets so we are all set. The bike handles well and I'm impressed by how much use we can get on one charge. We haven't taken them off road so to speak but we've used them on paved and improved trails and on Cannon Beach and they are so much fun. If you're thinking about getting a new e-bike you have to test drive the Rad models. And by the way I ordered them the Friday before the Fourth of July and they were on our front porch the following Wednesday.

Great retail and service center and excellent bikes. Such a joy to ride. I went in there for my regular service and was helped by a great technician and mechanic (Danny maybe?)-- totally went above and beyond both in terms of service, teaching me how to care for the bike, and replacing/fixing minor issues at no additional charge (as it was the initial complementary service). Excellent customer service and tune up. Exactly what you'd hope for from a premium bike company.

I read the negative reviews and felt a need to counter some of those complaints -- particularly about service. I have received next day responses both times I called RAD. I bought 2 bikes to be delivered in the PNW. They had one ready to ship from Georgia so they sent that via FedEx in just a couple days. But of course it took a week and a half to get to Oregon. Given the supply-chain issues, I expected worse.
The second bike was "expected to ship" on Dec. 13 -- about 3 weeks after order -- again, more in line with my expectations. On Dec. 13 I asked for an update [it is true it would be nice to see status updates online] but received notice the next day that the second bike would be delivered the following day (15th). This one obviously shipped from Washington (Sumner). The same day Customer Service confirmed the bike was in transit. The bike came as stated.
RE: ASSEMBLY. I consider these minor issues but want to be fair and complete. The wire brace on the back fender was installed in the upper two mounting holes where the back reflector was supposed to go. If reversed, the reflector could be pointing downward and may present a visibility issue if driving at night -- so that could be a safety issue and users should check this out. Even BICYCLING.COM showed a faulty installation in their photo of the RadCity 5+. I tried the remedy but the bolts were tightened so much I stripped one of them trying to get it off. So I complained to RAD and they sent the issue the same day to technical support who agreed and placed a gratis order for a new rear fender. These are back ordered but assume it will come attached correctly.
When the 2nd bike came it had the same mis-install, but I could fix it easily. I alerted RAD that they might have a quality-control issue but did not require any remedy on my end. They thanked me the same day.
I would rate my bike assembly experience as "above average" but had no other problems in that regard. I did have an initial problem with the power not staying on on the first bike. I had to remove the battery, then tried to start it, which caused a reset of the computer. After that it worked fine.
Due to weather, I have not ridden the bike much, so this is not a review of long-term performance.

Crazy cool! People who work there are super helpful and knowledgeable. Patient in answering all of my questions thuroughly. And the test drive is the killer sales tool. I took a couple of bikes out after signing a waiver and leaving my license. They went over exactly how everything works. If you have ridden a bike before it's exactly the same except different. The throttle and peddle assist along with the small screen to inform you of your settings are all easy to use and intuitive. It will make you want to buy.
