I wanted an additional battery installed in my daughter's sidecar and run it in parallel with my ebike battery using a fusion battery combiner. We needed more range. Most e-bike companies wouldn't take this project on... but Electric & Folding Bikes Northwest did. DJ has done a fantastic job hiring his employees. They are honest, skilled, knowledgeable, and easy-going. David was an absolute wiz when it came to understanding my goals and collaborating with me on the best way to make them happen. I wanted it to look clean and I wanted it done right. I'm a firm believer that when you set out to do something, do it right the first time so you're not doing it twice. Dave nailed it. The install was super clean and well-thought out. He went the extra mile mounting the battery. Everything came out exactly how I envisioned it, only better. I can highly recommend these guys, from purchasing an e-bike (I bought one for my lady last year), to repairs and modifications. Top-notch outfit.

Amazing experience. Staff are so knowledgeable and super super nice. I ended purchasing my first 2022 Brompton from their store. They set it up for me and answered all my questions. My wif also loved riding the bike. Since the amazing people at this store made it so easy to walk out with one, this bike brought joy to her even though we recently found out that she has cancer, and scheduled for surgery next week. This litter amazing experience purchasing our bike from amazing people, went a long ways. Few days later, I ordered a second Brompton (Electric one) from the brompton website as I was looking for specific setup and arrangement, and have the bike shipped to the store. What makes this store so special, is the extra mile the go in taking care of their customers , by setting up the bike and update the battery for the electric Brompton even thought I had it shipped using Brompton website. I just trust their work. I ended purchasing all the bags and accessories I need it for both bikes from them. (I went crazy with purchasing most of what they offered, from grips, bags, saddles, tool kits, extra tubes and covers) An investment that is so worth it. And I'll probably, be back for more as needed. Supporting this amazing local business as much as I could is important, Since they are the wonderful experts that they will keep looking after our bikes and have the best quality bikes available to the bike community for many years to come. This is the best place that offers the best electric and folding bikes and service in all of Seattle. It just took one visit, and walked out as the happiest Brompton owner. Thank you so much for being here for us!!!!!

We were helped through this process by DJ who really went above and beyond helpful. He communicated every step of the way so we knew exactly what to expect and followed up with help and genuinely caring support when things went wrong on this end (through no fault of Electric & Folding Bikes NW). I've been here a few times for repairs of both an electric and non-electric bike. I've always received transparent advice and estimates for both time and cost. Today, I took my tubeless bike in to get the tire sealant replaced. Their repair queue was a week long (not unexpected for late July), but they did me a favor and took care of it right away. And this was done by an employee who wasn't even on shift that day! I didn't have the patience to get the valves replaced but they were able to sell me a tubeless patch kit that came with two extra valves. I couldn't have asked for a better solution!

We just went through the entire process of riding, learning, ordering and delivery of our new electric bikes and pleased to report that every step along the way was handled perfectly. DJ was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and his follow up with the manufacturer as well as with me was stellar. He is a straight forward, honest guy, who is sincere in his desire to please. Everyone I dealt with at the shop was great, and knowing that I will be servicing with the same people gives me confidence and happiness. My wife and I have been shopping for an electric bike for her which took us into at least 7 bike shops between Seattle and Tacoma. DJ at Electric & Folding Bikes NW has been consistently courteous, helpful, and professional, which frankly, is a breath of fresh air! Some personnel at other shops gave us the impression that we were wasting their time or that they didn't want our business. DJ always made us feel welcome. He has a nice selection of electric bikes and some interesting folding bikes. We enjoyed his no pressure and informative style and we could really tell he was more interested in getting the right bike for us than just making a sale. Great people! This is a friendly, laid back bike store with great customer service. We bought my husband an electric bike here and we had a good experience. DJ, who I believe is the owner, helped us find the best bike for us. He listened to the things we were looking for in a bike and respected our price range (we said we wanted to spend about 2000 which was on the low end for an electric bike). He showed us what he had that fit our range and explained each option clearly. We were able to test ride different options and find the best fit for us.

Got a specialized e-bike from them last year. It's my primary mode of transportation now and I love it. Not gonna lie, I've had a few issues here and there with the bike they sold me. The reason I wanted to get a bike from a local shop like them has been exemplified. Today, I had more issues with some gears sliding and chain breaking, even after having an annual service just two weeks ago. Exhausted from a hard day work, dealing with 90 degree heat, a broken bike chain, and still needing to go the DOL I walked in and started going full out complaining mode... It wasn't their fault, but they were in disbelief that I was having so many issues with a bike they sold me less than a year ago. He told me he could get it so that I could get myself home and finish my errands, but he wanted to hold onto it to get it fixed properly. He gave me a loaner (not something he usually does) so that I could finish my errandsz which works for now, and I was able to get my errands done at least. I'd rather the bike they sold me not have any issues, but they have always been super dependable and helpful when things go wrong. They have taught me tricks and how to fix things in emergencies, and really gave me a great deal on a bike in 2020. When I go to them in a bind they make sure I'm taken care of, and that's a place I'm gonna go out of my way to go to as often as I can.

I needed some help after Evo failed to correctly align my back wheel, and was so happy with my experience here. The staff was super helpful and went above and beyond to not only fix the problem, but also help with rotating my stem. The person who helped me (unfortunately I didn’t get their name) was so kind and enthusiastic about helping get me back out on the trail. I definitely recommend this shop to anyone who loves to bike!

Not a rush to purchase and a hard sell. This means you may have to wait for a someone to help you but when they do you will have their attention.

I ordered a Brompton from their website and had it shipped to EFBN. They were very helpful in setting it up for me and answering questions. It was great to be able to swap the seat post for a different size without having to go through Brompton directly. You can tell the team has a lot of product knowledge and experience as regular riders.

The guys here are really friendly, accommodating, and will spend the time to make sure you get what you are looking for. They also do repairs on site, which is a big deal, really... You don't want some random bike shop that has 1 or 2 electrics for sale working on your electric bike... while some components are similar, one mistake by someone inexperienced can cost you big, so I say but from the experts and have the experts service your bike. Also, there is a huge assortment of different styles and manufacturers. Unlike other stores, these guys carry rear hub, front hub, and mid drive bikes, and everything from entry level to bikes that cost more than my Civic is worth.

I bought 2 different electric bikes from them after getting a chance to try 6 different models. When my wife liked different aspects of different bikes, they were able to find a bike that encompassed all the traits she was looking for. Their service has been quick and efficient, accommodating our timetables, explaining the operations of the bikes' features, and tweaking and refining any adjustments we wanted. Highly recommended!

They didn't try to up-sell, were great about test rides, and helped me select a good fit for my needs. I stopped in to take a look at their selection of Brompton folding bikes and was not only able to look at a range of colors and options, they walked me through the folding process of the frame, let me have a test ride for a hands on experience, and helped me understand the different offerings more clearly. I am planning toward this purchase so I didn't buy a model during my visit. But when I do take the plunge, I am definitely taking them up on the opportunity to use the installment plan financing they offer through Synchrony. Very friendly and knowledgeable proprietors, definitely a must see place for any bicycling enthusiast.

I didn't buy a bike here, but I have had my hybrid bike battery serviced here (cells replaced, which I furnished), and my bike tuned up. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, but most importantly, honest. They have never tried to embellish the repairs needed, and the prices for repairs were extremely reasonable.

Demonstrated outstanding integrity while selling me the perfect bike. The fellow that sold me the bike was pretty busy at the time I happened to come in and made an error in the total cost I should say that the overall experience was nevertheless great, he was easy to talk to and work with. But I was blown away when the owner called me the next day to tell me that they had overcharged me by $100. I would never have known had he not called. It's seldom that a business has the chance to show me that they're so trustworthy and focused on treating their customers very well. Electric & Folding Bikes NW just showed me that in spades. I should add that while I was looking at bikes, someone came in with a problem involving, I think, a blown fuse. Fix was done on the spot, no charge. I like these guys!

I bought my Stromer ST-2 from Mike and his shop when the Stromer ST-2 initially came out about 2 years ago, and I'm so happy I did. He has maintained it, ordered parts for it, and when it had difficulty charging and updating it, he provided a new charger and took care of the update on his own time and free of charge!!! You would be silly to order a bike online, especially an electric bike, when you have an actual shop with excellent service, selection, and a mission to get people out of their cars and on bikes, even with Seattle's hills. Do yourself a favorvisit the shop and take a bike he recommends out for a test drive. You'll be happier and healthier.

My wife and I bought two Brompton folding bikes from DJ. After riding around Port Townsend and out to Fort Worden, we absolutely love them. They are so easy and fun I just can't believe it. I've ridden various bikes my entire life, but these are clearly the easiest and most fun. It's really surprisingly fast and maneuverable. Thanks DJ, you're the man.

I purchased an electric Faraday bike here after test riding one. Very helpful and knowledgeable people, with casual and professional atmosphere. I did look around at several electric bike shops, and this was by far the best shop I visited. I am extremely satisfied with the service and my new Faraday is a wonderful bike.

Just brought my bike in again to this great shop and they were very honest, straight-forward and knowledgeable. Instead of talking me into expensive (and unnecessary) repairs, they fixed a minor problem for no charge. Will bring my bike back again for regular maintenance!

These guys took one look at it and figured out I needed to lubricate my drive chain - problem fixed and they didn't even charge me. What a great place and I will be going back when I need another bike soon. They've gained a customer.

Will shop there again...I can not stress how important customer service is I had contacted another shop and was surprised at how rude they were they lost my business before I ever stepped in the door.

I highly recommend Elec & Folding Bikes. The owner DJ answered all my questions honestly and helped me immensely. He showed me several elect bike options. He did not try to steer me away from lower priced models, but was honest with his facts about each. I ended up buying an Ezzbike Sprint and am very pleased with the purchase.

This is the only electric bike shop in town where there's not a whiff or undercurrent of sexism. One of the part time mechanics is arrogant with women, but ask for the owner DJ if you want to be treated with sincere respect and dignity. I travel from the opposite side of the city just to get straight-up customer service with no little microaggressions or sexist "joking" BS.

They seem to know their folding bikes but the staff was kind of rude when I brought my bike in for repair and didn't call me to tell me my bike was ready for pickup as they said they would. It also smells like that horrible fake vape flavor inside.
