I’m a truck driver that goes to Kent Wa every trip and went to this shop to get into cycling I didn’t really know what I needed the owner set me up with this salsa rangefinder. They made sure I had everything I needed for the hobby and fitted me to this bike I’ve had the bike a little over a week have about 12 miles on it and love it. Very personable and didn’t make me feel intimidated as a novice very professional and made me feel confident with my purchase.

Cycle Therapy's location used to be closer to the railroad tracks, but their new house location off of 3rd street isn't hard to find since they are right on the corner and have a large sign outside. I had been going to another bike shop, but kept getting a flat front tire. I was on the Interurban Trail heading from Kent to Sumner on my bike and ended up with a flat in Auburn. This was on a Sunday, so most bike shops nearby were closed. I was staying in Kent at my sisters for the weekend and decided to stop into Cycle Therapy on Monday before heading home. There was no wait. They took my bike in right away. I purchased a new tube which was $10 and paid a labor fee of $10. For a little over $20, my tire was fixed. Before I even had the chance to get back onto my bike, the tire went flat!! Later we found the tire itself was damaged. I purchased a new tire for extra but did not have to pay the extra labor fee. The owner and one employee was in the shop that day. They were both helpful and friendly. I would eventually like to order one of the original tires to put back on my bike because it does way better on the mountain bike trails. The new tire is nice for trails like the Interurban Trail which I plan to be riding often.

Wow- where to start! Received a Kona bike for Christmas and family was raving about Seth and all the help he provided. Went into the shop today with my wife and met Adele and Ric. Both really nice, knowledgeable, made you feel like you had been friends for years. Knowing a little about BMX bikes, mountain bikes were definitely different to me. Was greeted by Adele, who was super sweet, funny, and fun to talk with. She listened to my concerns on the handle bars, fitted the seat, and adjusted the front forks. Super fast service, amazing job at doing the work.. They were super kick back and relaxed- never felt like you were pressured into anything. Adele swapped the neck for my handlebars and ot was night and day difference! The best part - the guy buying the $6,000 bike (which was freaking gorgeous) when we were there.. I felt I was treated just as great by Ric as he did with them. You felt appreciated, valued as a customer, and it shows that they have a love for bikes and providing awesome service. These less than five star reviews for Cycle Therapy are absolutely ridiculous. Ric, Adele, and Seth by far made it an easy choice to buy, have fix, and simply ask questions for anything bike related.

We Love the store, the owner Ric, and his wise bike guru Josh. We have purchased four bikes from them over the last several years. We also encouraged two other people to purchase bikes from them. All of us are very pleased with our bike purchases. They are very honest and upfront. Very helpful and kind. I would do business with them over and over again. We had a warranty issue on one of the bikes and because the bike company was slow to respond , the owner purchased at his own expense the solution to our warranty problem. These are real people trying to help the bike community, not just make a buck. Support them, we need more places like this.

Genuinely the best customer service I've ever encountered at a bike shop. They helped me size and pick out a bike, then when the bike got delayed months past when I needed it because of Covid helped me find a different bike that meets my needs. I've had some issues with the bike but they have gone above and beyond to fix those issues. I drive 30mins each way, past much closer shops, because of the service they provide.

Best ever bike shop! I've been to many a bike shop and these guys are, by far, the best! They replaced my rear derailleur and did general maintenance (on my Trek Fuel), and replaced my rear brake pads (due to squealing at no charge to me), and got 2 new tires for the price of 1. Best bike shop I've ever been to. Very friendly people. You can't go wrong coming to Cycle Therapy!

Went in during a lunch break from work and walked out with a bike. Went specifically because they carried Kona bikes. They happened to have a model in my size I had been eyeballing for a while. The young guy working at the time was very helpful and eager to offer insight and answer questions. I tested out a handful of models. I had done most of my own research beforehand so I had a good idea of what I wanted. The only thing left to do was see the actual bike(s) in person and get a feel for them, but still it was a good shopping experience overall. No pressure and just chill. To top it off the owner (i think so anyway) came in as I was just about ready to commit to the bike and stated the bike was on sale since it was a previous model year. Even better! They have a pretty large and varied selection of models and types of bikes, and they told me they have deliveries frequently so they can get things in stock pretty quickly. From what I've seen prices seemed to be on par with what you'd see anywhere else in the area as well. Another perk is they offer 10% off accessories for 30 days after the purchase of a bike. I'll definitely be returning for any accessories/parts I need in the future and am going to certainly give this place a shot for any major repairs or maintenance I may need in the future that I can't/don't feel like taking on myself.

I have dealt with Ric many times over the years, back before he was the owner. Ric is not only very knowledgeable but extremely helpful. As with many local bike shops he may not always have what I need, but has been able to get it rather quickly. To me it’s very important to support local businesses because local businesses support us (try having a wheel trued or brakes adjusted by Amazon). Most importantly, I like knowing that when I recommend his shop to my friends I will not be embarrassed later if they have a bad experience. EVERY time I have recommended his shop to a friend, they were very impressed.

Bought a 2020 Kona Sutra LTD from here. Really nice and friendly employees, and a good selection of different bikes and products. I enjoyed meeting Rick, who I believe is the owner. I love the bike and they gave me a really good price too. I took 2 stars off because the brand new bike I bought hadn't been set up properly. My headset was not torqued to proper spec, and the headset started rattling after a few miles of riding. This was easily fixed, as I have a torque wrench (do they not use a torque wrench at the shop??). The bike comes with beautiful SRAM Rival 1x drivetrain, but they had failed to index the gears and adjust the derailleur properly - lots of ghost shifting, and limit screws were set incorrectly causing the chain to go in between the cassette and the wheel when shifting into lowest gear. Needless to say I was bummed out, considering I like the shop and the people that work there.

This place is the gold standard of what a great community bike shop should be. You get the feeling that the people here have a true passion just to be around bikes. The shop is humble and tidy, but also has the smell of a shop that actually works with metal and grease. Unpretentious, honest, non judgemental, I feel like the guys just want to get me and my bike out on the trail to keep ripping. When you come in with a broken chain they dont immediately try to sell you a brand new drivetrain. Last time I went in with a broken spoke, they had it fixed in a little over an hour and then the guy tried letting me leave free of charge! While I appreciate the gesture I couldn't let that happen, I know that good bike shops close all the time because they just give too much ...I was happy to pay the very fair price and hopefully keep this shop thriving for the long haul. Thank you for existing Cycle Therapy!

This shop is right off the Sounder Train, keeps late hours (so I can pop in to drop off my bike on my way home) and has always gone above and beyond. They quickly put air in my low tire and readjusted a stuck brake for free to get me on my way home. I had them put on a new set of tires on my commuter bike. I've purchased a new helmet, as well. Great little shop full of friendly, helpful staff!

Wife and I went in to grab get and prepare bikes for Seattle to Portland ride. Owner was there and helped us pick out everything with individual recommendations. Also popped off a pedal that I had spent 4+ hours trying to remove with sub-par tools. Gave our bikes a quick tune up and they are running better than ever! I bought a rubber airless tire online, from a different place, for my electric scooter because I got tired of replacing the tube. I could not get the tired on the rim for the life of me! I googled all kinds of hacks on what to do. I gave up. Someone told me to go to Cycle Therapy in Kent and it was the best advice ever! What took me 3 days took Rick 5 minutes! AWESOME customer service! My wife bought me a kone road bike for my 8th sobriety birthday. When I mentioned that to the owner Rick he engaged. We had a great conversation on overcoming our vices and that stuck with me, he also kicked in a small discount which really wasn’t about the money. It was about recognizing and rewarding a personal milestone for me. He didn’t have to do that but he did....They might not have the type of selection or variety that bigger corporate shops have but they do have a strong ability to personally connect to people, and that, for me? Made the mistake of buying my daugjter a bike at KMart well the bile didnt work not only did they repair it but also checked the bikes brakes, gears and made sure it was safe to ride i wont ever buy a bike from a a place like walmart kmart. This is the place to go. I recently went to get my wheel built and trued, and they did very well, just as good as wheels built from major conpanies like Kona (hint hint they sell great Kona bikes). Ric is the person I worked with and he is friendly and really know his stuff. He knows info about wheel building that I didn't/couldn't know or do (what you expect). All prices are fair. The only flaw I would say is that they were a day late to finish my wheel then they stated, that didnt effect me much but for people on time frames just know that. But they seemed pretty busy on the phone and some projects vary on time so I would say its hard to tell when you get finished. Besides that if there is something I can't do on my bike I will take what I can't figure out/do to cycle therapy because they get it done properly

Let me tell you a little bit about Cycle therapy and thee owner Rick and his right hand man Mr. Frank... they are a locally owned Bicycle shop in Kent. When you first walk in these men are right there ready to be at your service. I have brought 2 bikes to them for tune ups, tire changes, concerns of noises a bike makes when something isn't right ,but I have no clue(lol) , nonetheless, these guys are here to help. After they explained to me that ,with how much I ride my bikes that I was gonna keep running into the same problem so it was time to make a choice (keep fixing the same problem after owning my bikes for 4yrs with alot of wear and tear or, buy another bike that is better suited for my needs) though I am not very fond of changes and i was really nervous about buying another bike , Rick looked through some of his best bikes that were in my price range and above all , suitable for my needs and safer than what I had. no pressure no B.S. just 2 guys and a bicycle shop helping one cyclist at a time. And... you meet fellow bicylist while you wait for assistance which was AWESOME!!! I rode the interurban trail for the first time all the way home with my new Fuji Bike and new helmet .LOVED EVERY MILE! Thank you Cycle Therapy. (from one local shop to another)
