They do good work at reasonable rates. I've done two repairs there now and the mechanics seem to be top notch and sorted me out both times. A bit weird picking up my bike from service yesterday since the owner was rude and testy on something very basic (getting my name to find my bike). Could've been having a bad day or a senior moment or something but that's no excuse. Otherwise, excellent bike shop and everyone I've dealt with apart from him has been very nice. Recommend, but if you see an older short guy with glasses, try to avoid.

The owner helped me with honest recommendations about replacing my wheels on my tri-bike and the proper tire width for my road bike. Fast and friendly service and interesting conversations as well. It's a great store to just walk around in. Tons of memorabilia and good gear. If you love cycling, this is a must go location.

Cyclesport has been my only bike shop I frequent for over 30 years. Over the years I've purchased every type of bike made from all around Hybrid bikes to hand made Titanium/Steel racing bikes. The team at Cyclesport has always helped me maintain all of these bikes in perfect working condition. The owner Mike has always been really helpful if I needed a quick turnaround repair/tuneup and the mechanics are the best in the business. If you're new to cycling, Cyclesport hosts a terrific Saturday morning ride that will help those who might be apprehensive to riding in a larger group. You'll become a better cyclist and meet some great people along the way!

Started cycling last fall and purchased a used bike from a close friend and I needed road shoes. I went to two other known places and was underwhelmed with the service and that's when I found Cyclesport. It was 7:30pm on a cold night and I was met by Mike and he went out of his way to help me . . for shoes . . .when others made me feel like I was a bother. The short story, Cyclesport is a destination bike shop. It is comfortable and friendly and has what you need. I have bought the majority of all my cycling gear from Cyclesport, even a new bike. With the new bike purchase, Mike was there to answer questions and did not push (I HATE pushy sales people) - he said he would be there when/if needed. When it came down to making the final decision, he said between the two I was selecting from, I should take the one that had "soul." I would know what the "soul" was when I rode it and I wouldn't be disappointed. He was absolutely right. Side note - the one I bought was 20% less than the other bike. I have been back to Cyclesport many times (let's just say I've done several wrong cycling maneuvers), and each time, they've helped me out without trying to separate me from my last dollar. Their goal is to keep everyone riding. I HIGHLY recommend Cyclesport to all my cycling friends!

Really nice bike shop. People here are very nice and knowledgeable. We actually live more than 1 hour away from this shop but due to the supply/demand issue during covid all the bike shops around us don't have the bikes we want (takes at least 4mos to get shipped). Greg is very nice and helpful. He assembled our bikes the day after we made the order and we could pick them up the day after. He helped us loading the bikes to our car and also gave me some good advises on my old road bike. Wish I knew this place earlier and didn't have to waste my time...

Came in for a pretty complicated repair. Very communicative team that walked me through the reasons for what they would do, called me along the way to offer options (respectful of costs), and were really amazing throughout the process. These guys obviously know what they are doing but take the time to educate you and also advise how to mitigate need for repeat repairs in future. Bike was ready one day earlier than expected. After 3 weeks of getting the runaround from the shop that I purchased my bike from, Cyclesport came through and helped to make sure Cannondale honored the lifetime warranty on my cracked bike frame in less than 2 weeks. Not only did Cannondale honor the lifetime warranty, they sent the Synapse Hi-Mod version as a replacement. (almost double the cost of my original frame) Special thanks to Mike and Garrett over at Cyclesport for putting their customers first. CycleSport comes highly recommended. I’m a seventy year old senior living in Ramsey, NJ that now suffers from a handicap which affects my sense of balance. I’m not the kind of guy that enjoys spending hours in a gym, but thought it a good idea to get back on my bicycle in an effort to get some cardio into my daily routine. I owned a Trek 870 for many years, but it was no longer of any use to me. I couldn’t mount my bicycle my kicking off and swinging my leg over the upper frame without losing my balance and falling. I looked at the Trek line of bikes and decided that the Verve II would be an excellent choice with its step thru frame and placed the order. After the Verve was delivered (and without even riding it) I quickly realized that the frame design would not work for me. When slowing to a stop I still couldn’t get both my feet on the ground quickly enough. A fast or panic stop would result in a fall and that wasn’t an option. I was naturally disturbed with my decision. I reasoned that the only option I had was to sell the Verve back to CycleSport and take a beating on it. I thought that at best they would only offer me a fraction of what I had paid for the bike new (approximately $700). The best offer I thought they would make was to give me maybe two to three hundred back, I really didn’t expect anymore. I called and spoke with Garrett, a gentleman that I can’t speak any higher of. I don’t know if he is one of the principles if the company, but his demeanor, sense of customer service, and overall professionalism would certainly lead one to believe that he is. Garrett listened to my story and with my promise to buy another new bicycle from him gave me my full purchase price towards a Trek Townie that I selected. Yes, you read my words correctly, my full purchase price!! This whole event took place in the middle of the Covid virus. As many know for obvious reasons the bicycle industry was stretched beyond its manufacturing capacity. I knew there was going to be quite a wait and it certainly was as I waited nearly nine months for my delivery to come through. During this wait I periodically would call Garrett to check on the status of my order. Every call I placed was met with his courteous and well-mannered voice. After identifying myself, he always knew exactly who I was and knew all the details of my history and order. On occasion he was the one that called me just to keep me up to speed on things. My bike was eventually delivered and has met all of my expectations. I have a safe bike that I can now enjoy. In the future I’ll will be making some modifications to the gearing to hopefully get some faster speed out of it. I would hope my review conveys my high level of satisfaction towards CycleSport. The company, its professionalism, in my case its empathy, and the people involved that make it all work are second to none. Please consider CycleSport for you next purchase. HIghly recommend Cyclesport. We bought our bicycles here almost 10 years ago and they are still in great condition. We have had two bike racks installed by them over the years. This summer we bought our 2nd bike rack and they repaired one of our bikes...all with top notch service. They assembled the bicycle rack and graciously held onto it in their store until we were able to get a trailer hitch installed on our car. And when I went to pick up the rack they installed it and went over/explained everything and then fixed my bicycle tire while I waited. Excellent experience. I have been a loyal customer for 10 years. There is no better bike shop! I have been riding/competing on bikes for almost 40 years, and my wife for 11 years. You would have to pay me to take our bikes somewhere else to be serviced. I've never written a review for anyone but the guys at this bike shop were so amazing they deserve recognition. I'm from out of town and was looking to do local rides. The young salesman talked with me for a half hour answering my questions and showing me gear. Really nice shop, and a very pleasant experience. They have everything you'll ever need. They turned the downstairs into a coffee shop. If you are local make it a destination place to have a bike break during your ride. They lead a B ride Saturday mornings, A ride on Sundays...see their web site. Hope to have an opportunity to ride Saturday mornings with them. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

Mike, I just wanted to tell you something that you probably already know- you have a terrific staff (you and Tracy included). As you know, I am not a frequent visitor to the shop as you are not on my beaten path (but always worth a trip!) I wanted to point out my interaction with Jeff regarding my service. He inspected the bike and quickly determined that the cables were in need of replacement. I verified that when I mentioned the frayed cable poking through the hood at the end of my last ride. He explained what would be done and the cost associated with the service. He said he would check the bottom bracket and questioned if it had ever been replaced. I didn’t think so and he told me what would be involved with that as well. When the bike was ready for pick-up, he confirmed that it did indeed need a BB and took the time to show me the worn part. Some people may not be interested, but I am. I appreciated the time to show and tell me what was done and how it works. Beyond this, both Jeff and Tracy made the effort to contact Garmin on my behalf to try and assist with a runaround I have been getting with my Edge 510. I don’t know how this will ultimately be resolved, but their efforts will undoubtedly get me further than if I would have continued on my own. It is this type of service that sets Cyclesport apart from other brick and mortar retailers and certainly online providers. Thank You, Scott

Gotta say - Mike, Garrett and the guys are terrific ! After ordering a nice Trek Emonda SL6 with Garrett over the phone. My son and I travelled from Port Jefferson, Long Island to pick it up. I have stopped by a few times at that store and each time I have encountered a friendly, knowledgeable and respectful (as in honest and non-pushy) staff member who was willing to answer my questions and educated me on certain aspects with no expectations. I have stopped by several stores in my area- most are good with a few exceptions- but I never feel as comfortable there as I do in this store. Most pleasant experience; these guys really provide a great customer service. I purchased a bike 2 weeks ago , havent ridden it yet and it had a flat tire, in addition the bell i purchased for another bike the same day, broke after using it once! I walked in there so annoyed these guys are amazing, so pleasant, the tire was factory defective, they fixed it on the spot and gave me a new bell! I wasnt even expecting a new bell , I had already left the store when the bike tech came out after me to give me the replacement... And I didnt even have the broken one with me! I wish every single store provided this type of customer service and stood behing the products they sell the way Cyclesport does. Will not shop anywhere else for any of my biking needs.

I had purchased my bike at Westwood cycle and for a couple years had been taking it there for Tune ups and such. But that store was not so close to me unlike cyclesport. Recently I had been taking my bike to cyclesport for tune ups and other things. There staff is so helpful and friendly. Mike (the store owner) is very cooperative and easy to work with. Mike Grotz (owner), along with his wife Tracy have a passion and dedication to cycling that is reflected in their exceptional staff as well and their interaction with customers with various levels of experience. As an example, I recently observed a young mother who came in with her daughter whose bike had a problem. Garrett, the store manager was understanding and kind, offering to take a look in the back workroom. Within a short time he returned with the bike, problem solved, and a very happy little girl. When the mom asked how much she was told no charge, just a friendly smile. Mike personally helped me with the selection of my dream bike, a Colnago. He was extremely helpful and personally involved by providing the guidance to select the best components and fit. The finished product turned out to be amazing. It was evident to me that this build was as important to him as it was to me. I also recently had the components of another bike upgraded by their mechanic, Jeff who provided excellent suggestions and did an outstanding job. This upgrade provided a vast improvement that now rides great. My only regret is that I was not a customer sooner. Without a doubt, Cyclesport is the best bike shop around.
