I have gone in here a few times as it is the closest bike shop to my house. The last couple times I went in, the gentlemen who helped me seemed unnecessarily pretentious. If you are a very experienced cyclist or you can swipe your credit card w/o asking any questions, you may never run into what I experienced. I’ll be driving to Charolette to support Ride 615 where I am made to feel welcome and not a burden on the staff. Customer service is a 1 out of 5, but the work they did on my bike was always solid, so 4 stars it is. I’m not trying to tank their rating, but share my experience for the hobby cyclists out there.

I came from Illinois to visit the Nashville area and saw Trace bikes was a Trek dealer. I had been looking for a particular Gravel Bike in a smaller size all over my area and no one had it in stock. Luckily Trace had the size I was looking for and the smaller one as well. The employee who helped me was very nice. He put on pedals for me to test out the bike in the parking lot, and suggest I go for a smaller size because it appeared the fit was just a bit off. We tried that one as well and it was so much more comfortable. I appreciate their willingness to assist me and give feedback to my bike requirements that conflicted with what I thought was correct. This made my bike purchase so much better and I am sure the ride experience will reflect that as well.

I recently purchased a bike online from Trace, great experience from the time I ordered to the time I picked up. Due to the ongoing shortage nationwide I had to drive from Atlanta to Nashville to get my bike. Trace was awesome at keeping me in the loop as to when my everything would be ready. I arrived at about 11am and they had me fitted and back out the door before lunch so that I could get back to Georgia before my wife got home from work. Great experience overall and great service!

I recently bought a full suspension bike that was a significant upgrade from my previous one. Scott and Ben showed me all I needed to know about it's maintenance, answered all my questions and did a great job fitting the bike to me. I had a breakdown on the trace and had my bike serviced here. I got there around 4. I was finishing an unsupported south to north trace tour. The guys at this shop immediately took my bike and replaced my tire. Also my derailleur hanger was bent and the derailleur out of alignment and all this fixed , while I waited on the spot. I couldn’t have been happier with this above and beyond the call of duty service. I forgot the name of the young man who helped me be was just stellar. Even showed me an easier way to get my stuff tires off my rims as I had broken all my plastic levers and tire the side wall of my tire trying to use a metal lever . If I lived in Nashville these guys would be my go to shop without question Thanks again for helping me.

I bought a 2021 Trek X caliber 8. We had 3 visits to the store shopping bikes and learning. After dealing with 4 different shops, I came back to Trace to buy. Recently, my 13 year old needed a new mountain bike. We planned out a route that would cover us getting to most of the areas bike shops over an afternoon; so that we could cover as many brands as possible. Our first stop was Trace Bikes. I had no preconceived notions, other than I had heard “they’re really expensive” a few times from random people. We were greeted courteously, but not overrun by anyone. There was the offer to help, without any pressure. We worked with a lady talking through the different options in the price range that had budgeted. She was extremely knowledgeable, and gave us excellent guidance. We continued on to other shops, who were all also friendly and helpful, but something about the experience there felt right as the place to buy the bike. Although they didn’t have the exact model we were looking for, they did order it for us and had it ready pretty quick. When we picked up the bike, the staff spent plenty of time with us explaining things and never made us feel rushed. They answered questions, made minor adjustments to things like seat height, and tire pressure, to suit us. A great experience all the way around. I highly recommend this shop.

Just visited Trace Bikes for the first time, looking to buy a new bike. With never having owned this type of bike before, I went in with a lot of questions and the owner was extremely helpful and patient with me without being too pushy about selling me something. He allowed me to try some different options back to back over and over after discussing what might fit me best based on my budget and needs. After trying some different brands and models, I chose what fit me best. I also added a few accessories and he gladly attached those for me. Trace also offers one year of free tune ups with the purchase of my bike which is helpful to someone like me who doesn’t have experience working on bikes. 100% a great experience and would recommend to anyone. P.S. - they have the sweetest shop dog to play with while you wait!

This is a great locally owned bike shop on the West Side of Nashville - Bellevue. They have a wide sellection of bikes for sale from mountain to road bikes. Scott is a certified fitter and does a fantastic job with that. The technicians are good too. They handle repairs and tune ups. The rental experience was top notch and it was a really good bike for the $$. When I realized I had left my shoes at home, they let me borrow a pair of flat pedals! Rented a Giant Defy $65 and participated in the shop ride on Saturday morning.... group is well organized and friendly.... pace of ride is approximately a Zone 3/4.... distance that day was 71 miles but varies so call ahead of time.... two rest stops along the way for water refills... bring cash ,some places cash only. Bike rental comes with bike repair kit and computer mount, you can also choose pedal type online.... I would definitely come ride with this bunch again in the future.... The country roads are beautiful

Outstanding bike store. Trek and Giant bikes are the bulk of their inventory and they have a great selection. If they do not have your bike or your perfect size, they will get it for you quickly. Their repair shop is just as outstanding. They do not just sell bikes, they love biking, so you can learn lots just from talking to them about your biking goals. If you want to own a bike, go to Walmart, if you really want to enjoy biking with something safe and reliable, go to Trace Bikes. The difference in quality and ride is shocking. They have some crazy expensive bikes but they also have quality affordable bikes. For older riders looking for a new fitness outlet, I love their Giant Sedona DX comfort bike on the nearby beautiful Harpeth Greenway. You can ride on this greenway for almost 20 miles and stay safe from cars. Keep your eyes open for dog owners with unleashed or long leashed dogs. Otherwise, wonderful way to spend an afternoon on your bike from Trace Bikes.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Trace Bikes: knowledgeable, friendly (and who doesn't love a store with a fluffy, nice dog? I rented a cycle and helmet from them to ride the Natchez Trace, which is less than two miles from the store (you ride a bike lane down Hwy 100). They rented me a top-notch bike with great gears / brakes (good for those hills!). The friendly staff fitted me on the bike and were helpful. I will go back and rent again.
