I wish I could give Yorktown Cycles "6 stars". My experience was nothing short of amazing. I wandered in and they did a great job of listening to my needs and giving me tips and personal service. They ended up placing a special order from a manufacturer for me. There were all sorts of hiccups and errors on the manufacturing side. Yorktown really stepped up and spent a lot of time working on my behalf to fix things with the manufacturer even after the purchase was complete and they had my money. I have lived in 14 different states all across the country and have had many experiences at bike shops where all they wanted to do was show you how much they know that you do not and then strong arm you into an up-sale. This is not the case here. This team is super accommodating. They really just want you to get whatever is best for your specific needs. They even recommended a less expensive solution than I thought I needed when I walked in the door. I live a good distance away and I will not hesitate to drive the extra distance to work with this team for any cycle needs going into the future. If you are in need of cycling services or sales, shop around, but this place should be your first stop and it will definitely be you last stop too!!

Wonderful buying experience! I called Yorktown Cycles after seeing one of their ads on Facebook Marketplace. Unlike some customers, I knew exactly which make and model of bicycle that I wanted, but I was shopping around for a good price. I called the shop and spoke with Tom to confirm that they had my size in stock at a price within my budget. Over the next few weeks, I emailed Tom to ask about sales tax, shipping, and other considerations associated with purchasing an expensive bike online/remotely. Tom was always very helpful and he answered all of my questions with patience and professionalism. When it came time for me to actually purchase the bike, I was much more comfortable with the transaction. While I spent most of the buying process with just the one person, I also want to give kudos to the employee(s) that packed the bicycle for shipping. They went above and beyond to ensure that my new bicycle could survive the worst UPS delivery driver having a bad day. Styrofoam packing material protected every inch of the frame and any delicate components. I can definitely recommend Yorktown Cycles!

Good experience and nice staff. Unlike many bike shops this store still had some bikes for sale. It still wasn't a lot but it's the end of the season and bike sales hit record volume this year. New bikes are headed in over the next few months. I did see a high end gravel bike by Salsa that I thought was beautiful.

I stopped at Yorktown cycles where they were having a bike swap offering. Ryan assisted us with courtesy and knowledge. He filled our tires with air and educated us about what pressure͎ was appropriate for each bike. I asked about a bike that might be better on hills and he showed me possible bikes to fit my needs. Ryan was very laid back and relaxed and really focused on giving me information to allow me to make a good choice. Thank you. That was very helpful. I will certainly go back.

Great shop. Not many shops can do both high end bikes, parts and accessories as well as being family friendly but Tom has it figured out. If he doesn’t have it, he’ll get it for you. They are always happy to help out. An asset to the community.

Best of both worlds: rider owned & operated, and yet still very customer centric, friendly, and attentive. Staff do their best to accommodate everyone down the last detail, even on busy weekends - though best to go on a weekday, if you can. Their inventory is consistently the latest and greatest, and mechanic experience is second to none. The shop is also always clean and orderly, making browsing fun and easy, and guidance on bikes and gear is always clear and insightful. Quality shops like this will keep online retailers from taking over the bike biz. Very kid friendly, too.

Yorktown Bike shop is great. As soon as you begin your experience with them you can see you are with a shop that loves bikes and knows how to get you set up. All the employees are very knowledgeable and willing to offer you a great deal. The owner is a life long bike expert. I've been going to this shop for years. The owner, Tom, is fantastic and amazingly helpful. He has actually talked me into a lower priced purchase because it was better for my needs, which speaks volumes about his priorities. The crew at the shop is great with my kids and helping fit them for their bikes and things. (This is one of my kids' favorite places to go on the weekends.) They have a sweet bike exchange program for kids as well. I've sent numerous of my friends there for themselves or their kids and all have thanked me for the recommendation and been complimentary about the service. Proximity to the shop was actually a factor in where I chose to live. I can't rave about the shop enough.

Yorktown Cycles is undoubtably one of the best bike shops in Northern Westchester. The staff is very nice, extremely helpful and even if you know your stuff there's always a disparity of knowledge and you end up learning a thing or two. In addition to being a great shop, it is always nice to see how active they are in the community supporting road and mountain bike events – they also have some staff members who are quite competent on a bike, they put what they sell and service to the test.

Tommy and his staff do their best to set you up with exactly the perfect fit and match to your budget. I will not shop for anything bike related or service any of my bikes anywhere but Yorktown. Great for the pro level rider down to your kids first push bike.

Althought they are very nice people I am not satisfied and will take my bike some place else to fix the issue I am having with my brakes. I brought my Trek bike there for a tuneup. The day after I picked it up the front break failed. I have now brought it back 3 times. The brake seems to be ok when I pick it up but after one ride something goes wrong with it. Every time I bought it back they were very nice and fixed it quickly and returned it to me. However after three times I think it is time to go somewhere else. I may be doing something to cause the issue, through I never had this issue before with the bike. But if the brake is failing due to something I am doing one would think that they would have made an effort to figure that out let me know so I don't do it again. Everytime I bought the bike back they fixed the problem without charge but no one said a word to me about soemthing I might be doing wrong. No one questioned me. After the third time the rear brake failed as well. I was also disappointed that they did not check the tire pressure which was low.

Just about everything you'd expect from a LBS. All of the staff know their stuff and are super helpful - they know what to fix, how to fix it, and where to take it riding when it's fixed. My fiancé picked up a Kona Honzo DL and they had it dialed and ready, plus did a complimentary break-in tune-up. Everyone here is great - they're stoked to get you riding and out on the roads/trails.
