The most pleasant purchase/customer service I have ever received..Salesman(Jacob) went above and beyond to help me get everything that I needed. Even researching and offering suggestions/options to make sure I had exactly what I wanted and was within the budget I was looking to spend. Helped me load the bike and has kept in touch and checked in for feedback even after the sale..I drove 4 hours to buy from them and will do so again and again..Bike selection and components are excellent and service is top class. Thanks guys- youve got a new customer!

I recently brought my fatbike in for a tune up and cleaning; I had been having issues with shifting for a while that were plaguing my Riding. Shortly before this visit, I also stopped by hoping to check out some pogies. During the initial visit, the staff member working near the front was very helpful and brought me to the pogie selection, and provided helpful insight citing personal experience. With his help, I found the best option and am very pleased with my purchase. I mentioned the need for a tune up, and he encouraged me to bring my bike in. Days later when I finally brought my bike in, a different staff member inspected it immediately and Listened well to my concerns. Within 5 mins, he determined my cassette and chain were worn out, as well as a shift cable that was overly stiff. He provided a quote and timeframe for repairs, while also pricing out the most cost effective way to write up the work order. To my surprise, the repairs were completed 2-3 days ahead of schedule and $30-$40 cheaper than anticipated. In addition, I had a rear pannier rack previously installed to my bike. The mechanic found an alternative way to mount the rack that made it more rigid / secure, and corrected this at no additional charge! Needless to say, i’m super stoked with the service! Thanks to the team at Freewheel Bloomington! This is the best my bike has looked or felt since I’ve owned it

Absolutely fantastic customer service - was having an issue with pumping my tire with a new pump I had just purchased when I had brought it home. Called in to see if I could bring my pump and bike in, since I know bikes shops are extremely busy this time of year and they said “no problem!” Turned out to be user error (as I expected, but wasn’t have any luck with online searches)🤦🏻‍♀️ but the staff helped, absolutely no judgement, and I left with a better understanding about maintaining my bike. Highly recommend!

The number one reason is the professional knowledgeable staff. They simply knew the answers to ever question we had. The second reason is the large in stock inventory of bikes and accessories. On the service side we needed a part and they were able to locate the part, install it and the other accessories we purchased the very next day. We appreciated the call that exceeded our expectation when the bike was ready for pick up. The third reason is that each item we have purchased from Freewheel at the Bloomington location was explained to us, was demonstrated if we needed that and we were allowed and encouraged to try on each item or take the bike on a test ride in the parking lot or on the sales floor. Helpful and friendly staff. Willing to show my 15 year old how to work the shifting on his new bike. Made adjustments and fine tuned the gearing before we left. Took the time to learn how my son road his bike - types of trail riding, road, etc. Made comparison of two different bikes and the differences between the two. Did a search for availability of one of the bikes, but ultimately went with the one that was in-stock on the floor. Happy with the purchase and service.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff who were willing to take time to explain options and needs for my particular situation. They were accommodating with regard to setting a schedule for drop off and pick that worked with my situation, which was very helpful in reducing unnecessary driving. I haven't done a completed survey, but it seems that the shop in Bloomington is one of the best in the metro area with regard to knowledge regarding recumbent trikes. I'd recommend this shop to anyone who needs some work done on their bike or trike!

Detailed, good advice from friendly staff. This was based on personal experience, so I value it more. Great winter protective gear in stock. I was a little disappointed that all the "fat" bikes were in the higher price range. I would consider purchasing a "budget" fat bike, but none were offered. Overall a very positive experience visiting

Recently brought in a vintage bike for new tires and tubes,Late ‘60s. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Communication could be better from the shop to the client; had to call a couple times for an update as they had to order special tires. I was able to speak with an associate and had my questions answered. Definitely will recommend to friends!

The guys at the shop were excellent they helped me understand the real differences between the bikes I was comparing. They even pulled a bike out of the box to let me check out a color they didn't have on the floor. They were knowledgeable about the bikes and accessories I wanted to get and not too pushy trying to get me things I didn't want. I asked them to have the bike ready on Saturday. They had it ready at noon on Friday. I got in a couple rides that I would have otherwise missed.

Just bought a new mountain bike here. Great service, knowledgeable staff, great products! Went with the Roscoe 7. Was a little intimidated by the fatter tires, but Chris (salesperson) explained the benefits and so I bought. Went for a ride later that afternoon and absolutely love the bike. Total upgrade from my previous Trek. Chris was spot on - handles great and the wider tires give me the confidence to climb over obstacles. Would totally shop here in the future.

Having not really been into cycling for over five years the task of getting a new bike felt daunting. When I went in I was greeted by a guy named Tim who led me through picking out a bike. He answered all my questions and was extremely helpful in narrowing down what I wanted. Couldn't have asked for a better employee to help me pick out a bike. He also showed me the helmet section of the store and guided me through how to pick out one as well. which was helpful also. I was originally going to go check out 2 other stores after this place as well but with the excellent customer support and a bike that really fit what I wanted to decided to buy here. Would 100% reccomend.

It's OK. Unfortunately, reasonably-priced (for repairs) bike shops are going the way of the dinosaur. It would be great if they could contact you when they get a better idea of what the final price for a repair will be. I was told my derailleur issue would be somewhere in the range of $30-40 and it was $76. I understand that the cost of parts may be an unknown but come-on, they're a bike shop. Better transparency and information on pricing, up-front, would be much appreciated.

I had an idea what I wanted but the service guy gave some good advice. I bought what I thought but the ideas were good. Good advice, not pushy. Trek (not you) does make one do add-ons like kickstand and fenders. The pricing was what I expected.

Really not cool and just because one employee was rude doesn’t mean y’all should try and take down the whole reputation of an establishment. There’s also two sides to every story. If you had an issue that needed resolving be an adult and talk to who’s in charge instead of crying about it social media.

Hans from Freewheel Bikes in Bloomington went above and beyond my expectations. I have about a 40 mile drive. When I arrived Hans came out and took my bike in to make some adjustments. I paid for the services of 3 kids bikes last Wednesday today is Tuesday. Wednesday I was given Friday as pick up. Friday we called and it turn to Monday. Monday we showed up and they told us today. I find it hard to believe it takes 6 days to get bikes done when they’ve been prepaid for already. I was over hearing someone else’s conversation and come to find out it was my 3 bikes that was set aside to do others that came in over the weekend. They prioritized mine as last thing to do each day and then it was flipped over to the next day. I’m not happy and it’s completely uncalled for
