Best bike shop in the Twin Cities metro. I worked with Jim Flanders on a custom Serrotta Ti bike build that included custom paint. Jim handled everything and the guys at the shop did a great job building it. It turned out amazing. Whether it's a complex build or buying a bike they sell regularly, Flanders Brother's is where you want to go. Professional advice and outstanding customer service!

I recently bought a cheap, vintage bike and it had a decent handful of minor repairs and cosmetic touch-ups that needed to be done. It only took a couple days to get my bike back and the condition it is now in is beyond the potential I thought it had. It didn’t break my bank either! Very affordable and quality work. The man that repaired my bike was very knowledgeable, confident, friendly and I can tell he’s passionate about what he does. Go here!!

I recently had a DI2 problem and after bringing my bike into two different bike shops with the offer of no clue. I then brought it to Flander's, the mechanic was a wiz and fixed it almost immediately. He was informative and knowledgeable; I now have a new mechanic.

I badly needed some service on my winter commuter bike. I called almost all the locations of the place I usually go (where I bought it) and they said it would be 2-3 weeks before I'd get my bike back. Not wanting to have to work from home the next few weeks I finally tried calling some other places around town - Flanders was the first place I got a hold of. I described what my problem was and the guy said it could probably be done in a few days. I brought it in and two HOURS after I got home I received a call saying my bike was ready. The work done was top-notch and the price was right. I plan on going here for all my future bike needs.

I live in the neighborhood and am not bike-savvy, so go to Flanders when I should probably be learning to do stuff on my own. They have never been patronizing, always helpful, even for the smallest tasks. For tune-ups they’re honest, giving their opinion about what needs to be done, but also, what doesn’t need to be done. Thanks Flanders Bros!

I had a stripped bolt on my brakes, instead of charging me for service and trying to sell me new brakes the mechanic showed me how to remove the allen bolt by grabbing the outside of it with pliers. So I picked up a new trick for servicing my bikes. A great place to buy inner tube replacements or a cheap USB bike light.

Recently got my bike tuned-up here and they were SO GREAT! It took a day, but my mom's old bike from the 80s came out of their shop looking absolutely beautiful. Adrian took some extra time and fitted the bike for me and polished her up once more before I left. Incredible service, great staff, and extremely knowledgeable! Loved how much extra time and care they took to make sure I had a great experience. 10/10 recommend!

Went there with a minor issue on a used biked. The mechanic fixed it in front of me in a couple of minutes, showed me how to fix it, and didn't even charge me.

Wow! Such great, fast, professional service. Thank you so much for the great tune up. The integrity and commitment of the place and crew are obvious (love the long local history displayed via cycling jerseys). As someone who's interest in bike mechanics extends no further than how to fix a flat, I would come here again for the non-pandering, non-patronizing assistance and fair prices.

Every time I've come in needing a repair expecting to drop off the bike/part they've done the job right on the spot and for less than other shops have quoted. Literally the only place I go for anything. I depend on my bike for work and they're always more than willing to fix anything I can't myself on the fly (which is most things, especially popped tubes). I always feel really welcome and as if the connection is a lot more personal than places like Erik's. I'm leaving Minneapolis in a couple of months but will always reserve a special place in my heart for Flanders.

Brought in my old frankenstein bike with some weird mismatched parts after the bearings in the back wheel broke. They fixed it same day for a good price, cleaned up the bike, all with friendly, honest service. Great experience.

Awesome and friendly shop. I walked in to just ask about a tune up, specifically my back brake. The man at the front desk grabbed a wrench and help me align and fix it right there free of charge.

Great experience here too. Came in with a bent valve and needing new pedals on short notice. The guy helped me understand the options and even swapped the pedals over. No snobbery either, don't understand where folks got that. Definitely my go to place. Prices were in the range too.

I found the people at Flanders to be helpful and not snobby at all. I went in because I had a little time to kill and wanted to get a cheap bike bottle. I ended up spending about 15 minutes chatting with the guy about various bikes and he ended up recommending a bike to me that they don't even carry. No pressure to buy and no pressure to hurry up. I got a very good vibe from them and intend to go back.

Only reason i gave 4 rather than 5 was i haven't tried all the services there, so that's on me. Just popped in to get some tubes, was in and out in under 5 minutes, and that includes checking out the bikes for sale. The hours work with my schedule (9-5 type thing) and i'll definitely be back!

What's with all these "snobby" reviews recommending Penn? Fishy! The guy I met at Flanders was incredibly friendly and I know nothing about bike maintenence. He even put some grease on my gears out of the kindness of his heart because he didn't have time to give me a tune up right then. Highly recommended :)
