When I arrived I was met at the door by Paul, who asked what I had stopped in for and what he could help with. He was super friendly and knowledgeable. I ended up ordering new tires for my vintage bike. When they came in, Paul emailed, texted and called me to let me know. Overall, the customer service was great. It also seemed like their techs are a bit older with more experience and not just young kids who like working on bikes.

Had an absolutely phenomenal experience with this Trek store. I came in looking for a tube to fix a pinch flat I got and to get some patches. Got what I needed then went outside to get to work replacing the tube and these guys came out and told me to bring my bike on in and they'd gladly replace it and check my pressure! Truly a blessing and they probably saved me from more flats on my 75 mile ride back down to Chicago. I'll definitely be stopping back in if I'm ever in the area and need anything at all. AMAZING service! Everyone in the store is unbelievably friendly and knowledgeable. You will find a huge selection of all types of bikes including E-bikes. We bought 2 E-bikes- so now my husband will ride with me- yeah. We also purchased a burley for our 2 small dogs to also go with us, as well as a new rack for the bikes. Lowest price I could find anywhere. John is the best- check them out for sure if you are in the market for anything bicycle or bicycle service.

It's two weeks post hernia surgery and Dr Jendali said I can ride! Thanks John and Trek Bike Store of Racine for getting my new Project One Emonda SLR! After 30 miles and four loops up the hill at Parkside I can say this bike is a fantastic climbing bike! I am ecstatic about my new bike that John at Trek Bikes of Racine has set up for me! It is a fabulous bike! John is a bike expert with exceptional taste. He delivered the Ferrari of bikes to me! My new Madone 9.9 looks as good as it rides. The bike is light, accelerates quickly, is a joy to ride even in a thirty knot breeze. I consciously have to slow down when riding with a group or I am 500 yards ahead in a matter of seconds!

My wife and I have purchased two Trek bicycles from this store over the past 18 months and we love them both. (My wife got a dual sport 2 and I got a Domane 3.) If you are reading this post, you are probably aware of the huge demand for bicycles during the pandemic. Consequently, there have been several hiccups with getting the bicycles delivered within a reasonable period of time. However, John, who owns and manages the store has done everything in his power to make things right. Tristan, one of the employees at the store, is extremely knowledgeable about the various types of Trek bikes. He does a lot of research on the Trek bicycles. You can tell that he loves his job. I recently had two bicycles (one Trek and one Giant) brought in for servicing. The service advisor did not try to push any additional bicycle repairs on me as is sometimes done with mechanics and your vehicle. They asked how I was using the bicycles and then they made their recommendations. In a nutshell: If you are looking to purchase a Trek bicycle or have any type of bicycle that needs to be serviced, I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this store. - Tony

When I came to the Trek store this last Saturday, I left overwhelmed by the great customer service. I was not sure if someone would be able to look at my bike the same day, but I was greeted at the door, reassured that the mechanic could in fact take a look at it. He did and it was a successful adjustment because I did not have any problems during my race the next day! I think 3 or 4 staff members talked with me, showed me the trainer, lights, etc. for my bike. I felt valued as a customer and I also observed everyone else being treated the same. High respects; other businesses can learn a thing or two from you all. I will definitely refer family/friends and will be back. Thank you!!

Took my son's commuter bike in to get a new chain b/c old chain had a busted link. Skip measured out the chain length, then Lee put it on. Lee also adjusted the front derailleur b/c I had mentioned the chain kept slipping. While Lee was working, had a great chat with John about a 12 hour race he had just done. I brought my son's bicycle in expecting to leave it for a few days because it was not shifting properly. I assumed it needed new cables and shifters however, the friendly helpful staff popped it right on the bike stand adjusted a few things and got us all set in a matter of minutes. I've always received great service at the Racine Trek Store. They run an excellent operation. Their service is competitively priced and the staff is courteous and knowledgeable. The Racine Trek Store has the best techs around. I know this for a fact because I had one of my bikes serviced at the other bike shop in Racine (before going to the Trek Store AND no longer in business) and it was a disaster. The Trek Store provided the correct diagnosis which enabled me to get an effective repair.

If I could give 6/5 stars I would. Excellent, friendly, and highly enthusiastic service. John and Laura made us feel very welcomed into the store and were glad to let me use a stand to switch out my brake pads. John even pointed out a slight error in the assembly of my rack and was glad to fix it for me along with a detailed explanation, and he didnt even charge me for labor!! After an hour of being in the store it was clear that John and the other employees are very knowledgeable about bikes and are willing to share their expertise to those who are willing to learn. The derailleur was in an awkward position and the chain was so tight, I was concerned about trying to do anything for fear of it snapping and hiring one of us. I was skeptical on how well the bicycle would operate after the tune up. The bike shifts smooth and rides great. I'd had a hard day Monday the 10th of May 2021. I'd unfortunately mistaken if a car was going to go, and they didn't go so I had a minor accident. My bike was totaled but thankfully for me I had some help from the people who witnessed the incident and from Trek. Skip told me that unfortunately the bike wasn't salvageable but that they had a few on hand. The FX2 makes me feel like I'm floating when I'm riding it, shifting gears is easy, and with the help of Trek Racine they made it my perfect size. Thank you for all your help and all your kind words! I brought in our Trek bike that had been unused, covered with dust and cobwebs and had a flat tire. I asked for the standard time up and to replace the tubes in both tires since the bike had been sitting for over 3 years. Originally they told me they would keep the bike for 3-4 days, but called less than 24 hours later and said it was ready! When I picked it up, it was all tuned up and they even cleaned the bike which is not part of the standard service. The bike looked like new. I’m excited to start riding again. Overall very pleased with the service they provided. Will be bringing another bike there soon to receive the same service!

Very personable and fixed up my bike great! During my maintenance they put on the pedals I bought last year, put a universal link in to fix my chain problem rather than have me buy a new chain (and gears) and put in a new rear gear cable without adding another labor charge.

I know it's the modern retail dilemma, but if physical stores don't stock common parts and equipment then they aren't providing much value when we customers can go online and order parts. (Mineral oil brake fluid in this case, used in all Shimano brake systems).

I went to the Trek Racine Bike Store to buy a pair of cycling shoes. It was July 2nd but other bike stores decided to close this day. It's a short drive from Kenosha. I knew "squat" about bike shoes but received a fine education! They were busy, as I arrived a few minutes passed the time that they opened. A young man helped me and in turn asked John Rodriguez for assistance. He helped me make my purchase. Didn't try to up-sell. . . in fact I received a discount because the best shoes for my feet happened to be last year's model! When I drove back to Kenosha and told my wife about my experience, she (not wanting to miss out on ANY shoe-buying experience!) suggested we head back there and get her a pair. John once again helped, and then added the free service of installing the clips. Guess there's a trick to that which I likely would have screwed up. She was ALSO impressed (which is no easy "feet"). Needless to say we will be back!

I am a NICA coach and my son is a NICA Athlete. We have purchased two mountain bikes and other accessories at Trek Racine and will be back for another bike soon. Looking forward to it as we always receive great service/advice. Owner is an ex-MTB Racer so he always has good advice. Last purchase was a Roscoe (for me) and it is great fun on the trail- It’s forgiving if you don’t always find the perfect line. My son often races thru rain, rocks, and mud so his bike frequently needs attention. The shop is quick with service and getting him back up and riding. Highly recommend Trek Racine.

Stopped in with my daughter’s second hand bike (which wasn’t even a Trek) as a last resort in hopes of finding a missing bolt. Not only did Trek have the bolt I needed, the super helpful and polite associate Shawn replaced it as a courtesy and then even tightened the chain and affixed the training wheels, after I explained what difficulty I’d been having. He took his time, was very profesdional and really went above and beyond! What’s more, he didn’t charge me anything over the cost of the bolt, which was a dollar! Kudos to this young man, what a stellar person to have on your team!

I searched all over for a bike for my wife (roscoe 8) and could not find it anywhere. After calling John at Racine trek he informed me that he was able to get one . He drove to pick it up personally. He was able to have it for th he next day! I live in Illinois, but I wish we had a shop that delivered customer service the John and his shop were able to. Thank you.
