It's always great to go into a business and feel like they actually want to help you on a personal level in contrast to simply wanting your money. These guys are great. I've bought awesome bikes here and will continue to for the forseeable future.

I have brought several bikes for tune ups and repair. The owner and staff have been 100% honest and accurate in discussing the needs of our bikes, as well as pleasant and forthright. I noticed on our visit today that they have really excellent reconditioned bikes for sale. I have looked for decent used bikes on local boards, and the prices at Johnson's easily beat what you would pay for the same bike on the used marketplace + the repairs and parts needed to make it worthwhile. I highly recommend this business!

A great staff, so friendly and helpful...they really listened to what I was looking for in a bike. Then they held the bike I picked out until I could return with my trade-in, I felt they were very generous with my old bike. One of the staff members buffed out the handlebars on the used bike I had selected making it so nice. Very friendly, knowledgable and good natured staff.

Friendly Tosa bike shop that I have been using for repairs and parts for 20+ years. This is my first Google review and it is well deserved. I dropped my bike off at Johnson's on Monday night to have a front derailleur adjusted on my bike. I tried doing the adjustment myself and screwed it up good and proper. John not only fixed it the next day, but didn't charge me a penny for the repair. He claimed it only took a few minutes to fix, I still wanted to pay him for his service, but he wouldn't let me. Not only was the service quick, but also affordable at free. I'm not suggesting everyone should expect their bike repairs to be free, but I believe these are honest people with a lot of integrity. They are my go to bike shop.

John! I hope you read this. I’m that brown Sanwa bike guy. 🙂 I went to Johnson bikes with my bike to get a tune up. I wanted them to address a few issues with the bike one of them was that my rear tire had a bump- needed to be seated and the other one was a metal on metal rubbing sound from an undiagnosed location that I described as a squeaking noise. Did that squeaking noise take us on a loop? Yes it did. I got the bike back after the tune and took it out for a ride on my favorite oak leaf trail in Mke. Within 5 mins of riding the sound was back. I was really annoyed and decided to call up the store and leave a voicemail. John went above and beyond that I can’t describe here for reasons that I think the shop may be taken advantage of. He offered and did so much to fix this problem I am truly and deeply humbled. He has the kindest attitude and is a man with great principles. He is quite literally the boss! If there is anything I need in the biking department -I’m coming back to your store. The guys at Johnson’s bike know how to treat customers and keep the passion of biking alive. Thank you for doing that!

I compare shop and this place beat all prices nationally For a new specialized online. I like supporting small business, but I along with all my biking friends from Cooper Park, want good customer service and great prices. You get what you pay for and these are now Walmart bikes. My kids have outgrown every quality bike we have purchased here. This place delivers very fast repairs and John, the owner is working his tail off on the floor and fixing bikes himself. He is always very patient with my kids and girlfriend who are bike knowledge deficient. He always helps my girlfriend load the 6 kids bikes. John always comes out and pets My Chihuahua Heroinnna and says hi. She loves him. Great part of the wauwatosa North Ave. small bossinesses, and a long time supporter of Tosa area schools and fundraisers. “Epic”! like my fellow biker friend Big E. Always says about Johnsons! I had a mechanical issue with the rear brake on my wife's bike the night before we were set to drive off for a weekend; I called and they fit in a repair within 2 hours because we were leaving the next morning, no extra charge. A perfect example of a Tosa business offering that personal touch. Thanks guys! Of note, they have a good selection of Specialized bikes in the store as well and were very busy with repairs.
