Great experience buying my first bike at Erik’s. The staff was kind and they took the time to answer all of my questions and explain what bikes would be best for me. They made sure I had everything I needed and I left the same day with the bike I wanted. The prices were reasonable and I will definitely be back for all of my other bike needs. 10/10 service!
Many thanks for the expertise, professionalism, and skllls of Sam. He was able to fix my flat tire on the spot when I brought it in. I appreciate him being honest and saying the tire wasn’t damaged enough to warrant buying a new tire. The safety of the tire was intact. Just getting a new tube was justified. Sam also noticed my brakes were loose and asked if that’s how I like them. I said not really so he also tightened my breaks. He noticed the back break was gummy and said they can deal with that when I bring the bike in to be tuned and cleaned up. THANKS for providing honest, professional, and extremely speedy service. Sam is a great bike professional!!
When I came in the with a small flat tire due to a little nail hole and requested a new tube, the sales associate told me I’d need a whole new tire. He was very condescending. I then spoke to the bike technician and he gave me the good news that I’d just need a tube. He was kind, helpful and speedy. I let the sales/cashier person know that gladly I only needed the tube replaced, and he felt the need to tell me I didn’t explain it appropriately when I had originally asked. He was very argumentative and disrespectful; don’t take life so seriously. Very poor customer service. I’d return again and go straight to the bike service desk.
Process was very straightforward. I came in there with my bike, and asked for rear brakes, got an estimate of how much it would cost, and after just a couple of days my bike was ready for pickup. Cost was closer to my budget, and they did an excellent job and my old bike feels as good as new. Will be returning whenever I need to service my bike any further.
Indifferent store experience. (understaffed?)
We saved, and bought the Mrs a new bike, and was disappointed there was no sizing or set up.
We were left on our own to adjust the upright handlebar stem system, and other areas. When I asked about adjusting the seat to my wife's height, I was advised what Allen-wrench to use at home.
They have expensive bikes, thus our $1,000, spend apparently, did not matter.
The only info we got during our purchase was how to sign up for their maintenance plan and spend more $$.
Maybe you'd get service for $5K or greater transaction?
Went in for a Specialized required firmware update on my ebike. I had no idea there was a charge until I picked it up. The email from Specialized mentions nothing about cost as well. It was only $36 but someone should to mention this...especially if the bike is fairly new.
I came in needing ski boots that would accommodate my large lateral malleolus from a 3yr old broken ankle. I explained what I was looking for and explained that last years skiing was a bust because I couldn’t get into a rental boot due to the pain.
My experience at the MKE store was less than good - the person didn’t take time to measure my foot or look at the ankle to see what would be a best/great boot, he just asked me my size and said here are a couple boots that have more volume, no additional information. I had to put them on myself, he didn’t even watch me walk in them. I had to ask if they were heat moldable and what the flex was - he just didn’t really seem to care much. I settled on the K2 BFC 90 and asked for heat mounding, which he did for the liners. I felt like once he put them on the heat and I walked around the store, he said oh well there his now and really didn’t ask much about fit or comfort. Bottom line, after doing my own research, they need to be punched to give more room at the trouble spot. I should have said thanks but no thanks, and walked out before I had the liner heated. I will have to look for another shop now to get these K2s to fit properly and for the future.
I couldn’t recommend this shop to a friend.

Service was fast, smart, and easy. I needed new tires and tubes on my bike and everything was completed within 48 hours, after which I received a text letting me know I could pick it up at any time. Many thanks to the knowledgeable and helpful staff!

Staffs are super friendly and helpful. I came in with a broken gear system on a vintage bike. Although it wasn't fixable as the bike was extremely outdated, they were upfront, honest, and directed me to a place that does vintage bike repairs. Support more places like these!
The experience was amazing! The staff was super knowledgeable and able to help me with all my bike needs and info. Kaleido was amazing as a salesperson, very knowledgeable and able to help with any questions! You can really see his love for bikes in what he does!Definitely a man that deserves praise and a raise!
i’m not an expert with bikes so whenever i have an issue with mine, i go to Eric’s and the workers are always very welcoming, kind and helpful. they are very good at what they do and can always fix my problems! i highly recommend this place if you need a repair
Blew a tire on my ride. Was able to replace and refill roadside but came in to get it pumped to correct pressure and the team was great about setting me up with a new replacement tube as well as a new co2 inflator. Perfect quick stop to get me home ready for another ride
Came in with a flat tire. They were able to fix it for me quick and get me the tools to do it myself on the road. Forgot the name of the guy that fixed it for me but Kaleido checked me out and was super cool. Had a cool bike hat pin on, very rad. Always nice guys there when I stop by.
I brought my bike in on Monday evening with a broken spoke to be repaired. The guy behind the counter was very pleasant and polite. My bike was ready for pickup less than 24 hours later!!! During summer!! I'm completely amazed! Thank you for getting me back on the road so quickly!
Did not have tire I needed in stock. We had to go to other store. New tire working great!
Kyle was great and really helpful. My back tire on my bike had gotten jammed and he was able to fix it in a matter of seconds. He then helped me set up having my bike receive a tune-up/repair. I picked up my bike the next day and it looks brand new! I've had it for 16 years. Great experience!

I came in for a really bad punctured tire and came in literally 15 minutes before close and these guys treated me like royalty. Gave me a new tire. They didn’t try to up sale me; got my new tire and tube on in less than 10 minutes. But that’s not all, he then proceeded to fix my chain up as well and took a chain out to make my bike move around better. Didn’t even ask for it and I swear I came out with a faster bike than before even though I was only coming in for a really bad flat. I went on to bike all night thanks y’all!
I was greeted immediately by three very friendly employees and was brought directly to what I was looking for. The specialist asked me a few quick questions about the bike trainer I was looking at and what kind of bike I was riding, answered all the questions I had, and made sure everything was all set before checking out and that I had everything needed to get started and have the best experience woth my new trainer. At the end of it all, he even ask if I'd like help bringing the bike trainer to my car! I couldn't be happier and this is why I keep coming back to Erik's!
Staff has gone above and beyond to help me with my bike and being flexible with storing it there for a month free of charge because a part that was ordered had not come in after 5 months. While waiting this long was frustrating, the staff made up for it! Every time I go to Erik’s, there’s always great customer service.
I bought a bike directly from the manufacturer and had it sent to the Milwaukee location on Kenilworth to be built. The bike was very well assembled and rode like a dream, especially on the trails. The service was good and the employee I spoke to was friendly.
I made a post yesterday about service and customer care from this shop. When I went in to pick up my bike today the manager did a really kind thing which I was not expecting. I appreciated his candor. Thank you mgr! You changed my opinion and not because of what you did, but because of what you said!!!
I stopped in to replace a bad inner tube for my bike. Brock helped me get my bike out the trunk and attached a water bottle holder I'd purchased. Everyone was polite and even offered to let me test ride an electric bike. Maybe next time. Thanks.
The folks at Erik’s Bike Shop knew exactly what needed to be fixed with the wheels on my bike that kept deflating after a day. They didn’t try to up-sell me, got straight to the point! They are also a bunch of fun guys. Thanks for the help.
There was only two guys working and they took the time out to help me even though they were busy. Best part was being able to test the bike. I tested two and the second one was the best one and they found the perfect match for me on my height and my size. Have already recommended to family and friends, thanks for the great service!
Absolutely outstanding service! I was in a bit of a pickle when I had planned a trip to Utah and had dropped my mountain bike off at a different store to have a dropper post installed. Their staff had disassembled the bottom bracket but have been unable to put it back together or install the dropper post due to pressfit tool issues.
With just a few days to go until I left for the trip, I was able to take my bike to this store where Dan and Gabriel were able to complete the installation perfectly within just a day or so, absolutely saving my vacation!

The Bike shop was conveniently located near the bike trail which made it painless for us to walk there for the repair. The guy we worked with provided friendly and quick service. I also liked the fact how transparent he was with our bikes and didn’t try to up sell us on something that didn’t need repairs. I will definitely come back.
Kaleido was the Bomb! He is super nice to work with and asked tons of questions to help me find the best bike for me. And he got everything set so I could get it from another location the next day. 10/10 would recommend this store all the guys are super friendly and know what they’re talking about. Great service and technical support. Had an issue with the headset - the handle was free spinning. Gentleman reassembled and tightened the handle, in addition he completely inspected the bike all other connections, filled up tires...I am very grateful - thank you very much!

The employees I talked to were incredibly helpful when initially I wanted to buy a road bike, but then returned later with a used bike I’d found online and purchased. They happily outfitted me with a new saddle and flat kit! Will definitely return here for maintenance and other things!
These guys are super helpful and quick. I've had issues with my bike twice now while on a bike ride and I was able to stop in and get it fixed in minutes so I could get right back on my way. They haven't even charged me yet but will be happy to support such a friendly business. They aren't pretentious at all like another bike shop I've stopped at.
Got a flat while biking, made it to the store 15 min before close and they were happy to replace real quick. Lubed up the chain and did a quick once over to see if there was anything else needed in the future. Super friendly and saved the day!

Service was competent and fast. Bike technician did a careful examination of rear tire and found embedded piece of glass in the tire. New tube seems to be working just fine.
These guys are awesome. Very friendly, professional and quick. I needed a couple small things done on my bike and they had it back to me in literally like 10 minutes. I also needed to take my pedals off for shipping but I could't loosen them for the life of me. I brought it in and they did it at no charge. Thats taking care of your customers! 10/10 would recommend them to anybody looking for their new favorite bike shop.

A very easy process, I’d checked out new bikes online, and it’s been a long time since I’ve purchased a new bike, (have to admit, the prices kinda floored me) and the one I chose was of a known manufacturer, and not a sky high price, and they prepped it for me, and. All was explained when I picked it up.
Kaleido Gess was awesome at helping me pick out my new bike. I switched from MTB to a road bike and had lots of questions which he didn't fail to answer any of. Everyone in the store was super friendly and willing to help. The fact that you can test ride a bike was probably what sold it for me. Great team at Erik's!
Asked for a rebuild on my Reid cruiser. Forget the guys name that did it but he did a perfect job. Pretty much exactly the vision I had for it. I really appreciate it.

Got a flat tire right across the street from Erik's, walked my bike over and they got me squared away, and, scored new tires too! Always professional and great to talk with about bikes in general. I've been going to Erik's for many years and always leave feeling like I was taken care of.
UPDATE to my original post: The whole family decided to take a trip to Erik's as I needed some service to my bike and additional gear. This was the first time we took our new baby out and were nervous how he would do, but because of the excellent customer service we have received in the past we decided make the trip. As soon as we walked through the door, we were again greeted with a friendly hello. As Taylor was helping me with my bike and answering my questions, the little guy decided to get fussy and cry. My wife and I were felt bad about the fussy baby in the store, but the whole staff reassured us that it was okay and continued to provide an amazing customer service! Again this is another reason why my family will continue to do business with Erik's and in particular the store manager Taylor. Overall, another great experience at Erik's!
The staff at this location is second to none. During my recent stop to Erik’s, I was greeted with a friendly hello from Tabby and then the store manager, Taylor, provide outstanding service spending a great amount of time going over my most recent purchase and making sure I was 100% satisfied. What makes Erik’s an amazing place and why my family and I will always be an Erik’s customer is the attention to detail that give you no matter how big or small the purchase may be and the sense that you are part of the Erik Bike Shop family. For example, my wife and I are expecting our first child this summer and wanted to inquire about a child trailer. Taylor, not only took an extended amount of time going over all child trailers that were in the store, but then answered several additional questions about the strollers that are available. Due to the great customer service we received, we are confident that the Burley child trailer will be the perfect fit for us when our child is ready and we will definitely be purchasing our first child stroller from them – a bike shop, that is how good the service is there. Again, the staff and service is second to none and we will forever be an Erik’s family.
The service was great. There were delays with 3rd party to repair my shock fork, and the crew at Erik’s kept me informed, followed up with the 3rd party, and was always courteous when I called to check up.

The bike was done way faster than expected and everything works great. The price estimate was accurate and the employees were all very friendly and helpful.
Out of principle I never give 5 star ratings, businesses should always be trying to please me more. Erik's service sets the standard for excellence. However, since they made me compromise my principles I've had to withhold the 6 star rating.
Great service. They answered all of the questions I had and then some. I was able to walk out with a brand new eBike. The hardest part was choosing because they have so many choices.

Came in to get my Alpine Skis waxed. They gave me an expected pick up date of 3 days from then, which is a fair time frame. I was blown away when I got a text that my skis were waxed and ready for pick up that day. Absolutely overdelivered, Dan the Ski guy rocks. Everyone I talked to in the store was super nice and extremely knowledgeable as well. Will be taking my skis here for future waxings for sure!
Workers were very helpful and fixed my flat tire in under 10 mins. I was in and out of the store in 10-15 mins. Very inexpensive as well.

Very professional!!!!!!!!!!!! I was very intimidated walking in as a woman who own's a bike around the men (my own issue), but they were very nice. I needed to get an estimate for my bicycle and they were very fair. There also is a woman bike mechanic there and that made me feel more comfortable. Beautiful shop, professional service, and lots to offer. I can't wait to come back. Highly recommend.

My first experience with this shop started out in the worst way possible: A young tech at the shop made a very costly mistake when working on my bike. There's really no need to recount the the details of the situation here, because it's how Jeremy and his team rectified the situation that's most noteworthy. After I was given an honest account of the problem, I was assured that the damaged part would be replaced at no cost to me--and given a top flight rental bike for the weekend so I didn't have to cancel my ride plans. When Monday rolled around, I got a call from Jeremy informing me that my bike was good as new, which was a full two days earlier than expected. I've been to a lot of shops and have had a lot of frustrating experiences, but this is by far the best rebound I've seen. I have no qualms about handing future maintenance jobs to these guys in the future. Well done!
Extremely knowledgeable & friendly staff! On many occasions they have taken the time to listen to what I am looking for and provide thoughtful recommendations. For all test rides, they tune & set up the bike to fit you perfectly before sending you off. This location is located on the Oak Leaf Trail, so they are the perfect location to test ride your next bike.
Ben and company do a great job of sales and service. They know their product and have options. Service and wait time was exceptional for my bike.

I bought a Bianchi Intenso here and had great service and maintenance afterwords. I like to do a lot of upgrades myself and they are more than willing to give you all of the info you need to make the upgrades yourself which is really unique.
My fiance just bought a Specialized Ruby this last weekend and got great service from Taylor and Joe. They are both full of useful information and are very willing to give you an honest opinion of the products that they have in stock. Truly a great place to go for maintenance or to buy a bike!

Often have the part, good selection quality selection. But at a large price. Only con : I feel pressured as soon as I walk in. It feels like I "have to buy something" by force otherwise if not, I'm not wanted because I am just some Sales Quota and not A valued customer. Maybe it's because it's more of a high end bike shop? I also felt like I had to do more digging and prying then nessecary for a rather straight forward question. Told him to be straight with me and cut to the chase. They were cool about it. No hate to them at all.
Bike shops can often be intimidating and pretentious. This shop is the opposite, the employees here treat each other and their customers as their own family members. I love this shop and I always like to stop in when i’m in town.
The whole process was effortless, everything arrived in great shape and as promised. Ben at the Milwaukee store was very helpful and knowledgeable. Would certainly purchase from Erik's again
I retract my review that follows this statement...The squeeky wheel did get some grease...they actually cared about my concerns..and followed through with addressing my issues..good for them
Service structure is unacceptable for a bike owner..mechanic leaves job to address customer walkins..bike return of one to two weeks..
My car service is finished in under a day!
..and..squeaky wheel does NOT get the grease!!
..couple days later on a Saturday I went in..and they said they would have it ready by five....this makes up for their dilatory stance for my initial service..
And..they ecplained..which I wish they would have said initially..I could pay a fee for Express service.
Taylor was great! We stopped by because my rear rack kept slipping down and rubbing my tyre. He helped fix that and tried to find us a bike bag for our flight. The shop is beautiful. Thanks again for the help!

I’ve been going to Eriks on Kenilworth Pl. for many years -it’s my go to bike shop for all needs -bikes -service - support and help.
Ben Weeks is the store manager who is always great and has a team of Allstars supporting him-Lauren-Trek/Ryan to name a few . I just got my bike serviced by Trek and he did a super job-on a tune up -shifters are smooth and quiet between chain rings and cassette and brakes are nice and tight as I requested .
I highly recommend Eriks Eastside for all your bike needs -especially Specialized bikes. And their bikes and service are guaranteed and warranteed.

We had a flat tire on the Oak Leaf trail. We walked our bikes up to Erik's. The replaced a tube for us and hooked us up with an extra tube in case it happens again. Great service. Definitely recommmend.

It's great to have a bike shop right next door! The selection of bikes is good but their variety of brands is lackluster.
As for accessories and gear, if you're a pro athlete then this place is for you. However, for the broke college student looking for fall weather riding gear, this place didn't have a good selection of low end gear or anything at a reasonable price. The products and price points are not really geared towards the working college student. I'm not trying to win Tour de France, just want something to keep me comfortable while I work out.
Had a good selection of E-bikes for my wife. Knowledgeable and patient. Answering all my questions and took as much time as I needed.
Today and at other times they give out free parts and technical advice. Their sales are good too.

I had Erik's restore my dads old Free Spirit for use in a 60 mile fundraising race. It needed complete re-work and I could have gotten a brand new back for around the same cost. As the mechanic, Joe, is a bike restorer enthusiast and I sentimental to the history of the bike, we were on the same page to get it restored.
When I got it back it was beautiful. Unfortunately, I was having some issues with the gears getting stuck when trying to shift and had planned on taking it back in to get looked at. Less than 50 miles, and only 4 short rides into the bike, I crashed hard, landing my bike completely un-rideable. I was devastated and stressed that restoring a man's bike may have been the wrong move and money down the drain. ERIK'S was unable to tell what caused the gear lock up due to the severity of the damage, and fixed my entire bike to be rideable again, this time completely perfect. The mechanice even assured me he took it for a 20 minute ride prior to my picking it up.
ERIK's took what could have been the end of me being a customer, taking with me many other cyclists and really capitalized on the opportunity to show they stand by the quality of their work.
I work for a company with many avid cyclists. With this story and ERIK's actions and quality assurance of their work, they have a customer for life in me as well as the 50+ additional co-workers of mine who asked for the place and mechanics name. Joe, thanks for your hard work! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my bike.

I’ve been to many of the bike shops in my city (MKE) for maintenance, service and purchases. Erik’s has been hands down the best experience in every aspect. Every time I visit it’s a good experience.
I brought my skis in on Friday and they were serviced by Sunday. Appreciate the quick turnaround!

I went on a wild goose chase to find a local shop that would adjust my bindings, so thankful Erik's did! They did a great job, going above and beyond to make sure I got them in a quick turn around. Just used the skis for the first time since and they were great, skis released when they should, and didn't when they shouldn't.
