First off, the customer service at The Bike Docs is second to none. They truly make you feel like you are the only customer in the shop and really listen to your needs. Secondly, the leadership in the store, Kyle and Maciej, are extremely experienced on the sales and service side of the business. Third, the service side of the business has an open door policy that allows the mechanics to talk directly to the customers. Most small fixes are done on the spot. Thank you Bike Doc!!!!

My bro in law and I were on a 160 mile 3 day adventure ride when he had some bike issues. The Bike Dr shop was a few miles ahead and right off the trail. The mechanic got right to work on the repairs, everyone in the shop was SUPER friendly, and they even had cold beers! Then to top it off they helped map our route to the hotel and a great BBQ restaurant at the next stop. Awesome shop, awesome people!! We will definitely stop back there! And my Bike Dr t-shirt is pretty sweet as well :)

The bicycle doctor is great! I bought my first road bike here. They didn’t try to push a sale at all. They even let me test ride it about 6 miles to make sure it was a good fit. After about 500 miles, I had an issue with the gearing and they fixed it for free! I’ll keep coming back for all my cycling needs.

Amazing bike and nordic ski shop in Southeast Wisconsin! I highly recommend this shop to my friends. Staff are welcoming and knowledgeable technically, but not pushy. Bike Doc hand-selects and tests nordic skis for a perfect fit! There is great value in this complimentary service that cannot be had from an online warehouse distributor. They have a solid product selection of items people actually want to buy for their athletic pursuits. Best of all, they regularly have friendly shop dogs hanging around in the store!

I had a great experience working with Kyle at the Bicycle Doctor! I've needed new skate ski boots for a while and he spent a lot of time with me finding the right boots and was knowledgeable about the different brands. He also confirmed that my current skiis (on the old side) are still in great shape and are the correct fit for me. I really appreciated this. Never pushy or "salesy" just helpful and patient as I tried on a lot of boots. I've already told friends about my experience and that it was worth the drive over from Madison. The bonus was that there were a couple friendly dogs hanging out in the store. Great shop, great experience! I'll be back - hopefully for a bike in the spring...

Then if your interest remains than talking about quad bike or ski could fit you best and go from there. One of the managers there spent three hours with my son to helping learn how to build bikes when the bike shop was closed! He donated his time. Do yourself a favor and visit the bicycle doctor. They will take care of you and then some! We live in a twilight zone these days and it is comforting and refreshing to know there are down to earth, high quality people who love the outdoor recreation industry and care about their customers as much as the staff at the Bicycle Doctor. I am a regular customer there for myself and my son and we genuinely just enjoy being in the store for a specific reason sometimes, or sometimes just to be around good people and browse. What sets them apart is their high level of expertise in all areas of cycling, nordic skiing, and roller skiing. The only sell the best product and see it as a priority that they only sell you something that they think is the right fit for you. Their positive attitudes present a comforting atmosphere like no other place I have been to. From a service stand point they do their best to accommodate you on the spot if time allows! They know how important it is to get you back on the road or trail. So many times they are willing to make simple fixes/adjustments quickly and with a smile. They treat my son like gold when he comes in and takes interest in what they are doing. KEEP THIS STORE RELEVANT and SHOP THERE INSTEAD OF ONLINE! South Easter Wisconsin needs them. They are the best shop in the land. We need to keep them healthy and relevant to keep us all enjoying the outdoors the way we like to. I am new to the area and am very happy to find a shop like this right up the Glacial Drumlin trail from where I live. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they carry excellent cycling products. Being new to Wisconsin I may have to try out skins. Kyle just set up my new Checkpoint and fit me on the bike and I am really excited to start getting some miles.

Trek makes great products, but we could buy them anywhere… That said, the people, specifically Dee and Maciej were fantastic!!!!! Patient, friendly, informative and not pushy… In a time of declining customer service, you guys are nailing it… I’ll definitely be back, and would highly recommend others looking for bikes, service or equipment do the same… Thnx!!!!

The shop replaced the tire and tube on my V2 150 Aero roller skis. A very tricky and demanding task. They did it while I waited. I was out of the shop in 20 minutes. This is important for me because it is a 140 mile round trip. I was back on the roller skis the same afternoon.

I have been shopping at Bicycle Dr. for over 20 years. I have purchased 5 bikes and 2 sets of skis. There are several shops closer to my house, however, it is well worth the extra travel. Kyle and the crew are very friendly, knowledgeable and technically proficient on bikes and skis. They really understand and live biking. They have helped, on short notice, with emergency repairs too. It's a fun place just to visit and look around! I very highly recommend the Doc!

I had an issue with my Kuat Bike Rack. Upon my arrival at Bicycle Doctor they were friendly and prompt with servicing the bike rack. Most bike shops would tell me the name and phone number of the Kuat customer service rep so that I could pursue how to replace the cable and lock. The staff at Bicycle Doctor was quick to explain how they were going to contact the Kuat rep and figure out a way to get the bike rack repaired in a good as new fashion. The customer service is second to none. The knowledgeable, professional staff have always been friendly, helpful and willing to help out.

I was in the market for my first carbon road bike, I was thinking Émonda light and fast. when I told Kyle @ bicycle Doctors where I would be riding; asphalt country roads, Kyle suggested a Domane, a great piece of advice with the front and rear iso speed and wider tires to soften the rough roads, and they are rough. Doc and Max put a Domane in the trainer to fit me in the correct size, and I placed my order. when my Domane SL 5 came in Doc made adjustments and gave me a great fit on my new fast bike, Magnifique!!! I had a fantastic first experience at the Bike Doctor. I went expecting to buy new skis for the Birkie ($1000 quoted over the phone) and they did a equivalent fit of my current garage sale skis and found they were a perfect fit. Instead of selling me skis I didn’t need, they helped inform me of the waxes and techniques I could use to better prepare my current skis for the race. Aside from being outstanding with their customer service, they have the most inventory and selection I’ve seen in a shop since the pandemic. Customer for life.

What’s not to like?! Stopped in after ripping a binding and talked to the guys in service. Immediately got to work and after presenting a couple options to get me back skiing, they mounted a new binding. I was offered one of the service guys skis to go back out on but instead headed over to sales to check out some new boots and poles. After some helpful discussions with Dee, I went with some new skate boots and foot beds along with a new pole set with quick release straps. After signing up for a membership to the lapham ski club to get 10-15% off, I also got my bill for the service where I was only charged for one of the bindings (instead of the set). Insane. This place is the best!

Got a new set of skate skis, bindings, boots, and poles recently. They do a flex test to fit your body type with the appropriate length and flex of ski. Had a binding break oddly (locking turnamic race binding) after my first time taking them out and they replaced them immediately. They also have great prices on ski waxing. Top notch service and excellent source for high quality gear in the greater Milwaukee area.

They have a good selection of cross county ski gear, the store is comfortable and has a great little bar with beverages on tap, and the employees are very friendly. (Note: I've only shopped here for xc ski gear.) However, service isn't great. It took me three visits to collect all of the gear I needed and it took quite a while to receive help on each visit. Few employees are fully experienced/knowledgeable in xc ski gear, which made it difficult getting good recommendations and questions answered. Even though promised, when I left gear for servicing on multiple occasions, nobody followed-up when ready for pickup. Their internal tracking system is poor, so it took multiple calls to speak to an employee who could provide a status update each time. I would still recommend this shop for xc ski gear, but with the caveats of setting aside more time than you think you'll need when you visit, keeping very clear records of purchases/servicing, and knowing any follow-up will be on you.

Brought a newer bike in that was not purchased at the Bicycle Doctor for a derailleur issue. I was concerned that since I did not purchase my Trek there that the store would not be in a hurry to service it. This was not the case at all! Lucas immediately stepped forward, listened to my problem, asked a few questions and instantly found the problem. I was thrilled he was able to fix it immediately. Also made a slight adjustment to my brakes, filled my tires and secured the water bottle cage that I purchased there and I was in and out in about 20-30 minutes. Excellent service! I especially enjoy talking with Kyle when I come in, who is always willing to help you and to give you a tip or two even at the end of a long day of fittings at the shop. He helped me pick out my first road bike, fitted me, and even taught me how to clip in when I picked it up (by taught I mean he literally grabbed a bike and rode bikes with me on the trail). A road bike is a big investment and they get that. Great buying experience. Be sure to ask about the group rides when you’re in!

This bike shop 100% gained my loyalty today. I cannot recommend the shop highly enough. Since the shelter in place (due to COVID), I have opted to complete 100% of my training bike rides on my indoor trainer. Today was just too beautiful that I decided to embark on a solo (socially distant) outdoor ride. There was however on problem to this plan of mine, as I started my ride I discovered that my bike’s back disc break was suddenly not operational. I tried taking it to two other bike shops prior to finding the Bicycle Doctor. Third time was a charm - as my route had me roll to the Bicycle Doctor. To accommodate social distancing, all employees were wearing masks and met with each customer outside. Despite being VERY busy, I was quickly greeted by Maya and had a shop employee (possibly named Johnny??) quickly assess my bike and got it to their service team. Not only did the team fit me into the schedule so I could get back on the road, but they also made a few other adjustments my bike needed! The price was extremely fair and the customer service was a A+++++++. Cannot express how extremely grateful I am to Maciej and the team. A+ Five stars 10/10 Two thumbs up #Maya4President

For me, this has always been the place to go for any winter sport gear. They always seem to give service beyond anywhere else. Because of this trust, i started to do my bike business there. The Bike fit from Kyle nailed down multiple problems. This was quite impressive! Understanding the details to a proper fit, will lead to a comfort on a bike i have dreamt of having. He has shown me what is possible, now i am excited to cycle again. This will be with a bike specific for my needs and fit needs given my physical body such as it is! There are options for custom bikes or using stock and then fitting as needed. I don’t want to put down other bike shops in order to give this place a 5 star rating as it earns it on its own. I will gladly drive an hour to Dousman as in the long run i make this up by getting service and equipment that are right on.

Very friendly and professional. I very much appreciated the special care taken for fitting of skis, boots, and poles. Prices are competitive with online options but the service is what separates Bicycle Doctor Trailside from everyone else. The trip from Stevens Point is a little over two hours but is well worth it. I'm so glad I purchased from the Bicycle Doctor Trailside and plan to return when my wife decides to purchase her ski package.

Excellent service. They helped even when they were busy with instal and understanding the product i bought. Ive been stopping in on and off for over 10 years. While most bikes are high end with highend prices. There are always deals to be found. Staff really are friendly and know what they are talki g about or doing. But if they dont they will say " i dont know, but i will find out or find someone". You dont get that anywhere but maybe another bike shop. Ill pay a little more to keep them there. They do just what bike shops should keep you riding. But that just me.

Outstanding service and selection. I came here in need of a new handlebar and found precisely what I needed with Jacob's help. He assisted me from the moment I walked in, not pressuring me into buying anything, but used his extensive knowledge to help me make the best decision. Once I had the handlebar, I setup a time to have it installed (in retrospect I made the appointment without quite informing the mechanic it needed integrated cable routing). I showed up with the bike and handlebar, finding out they would need to replace and restring all the cables through the bars and frame in order to install it. Quite unbelievably, they stuck to their word, redoing all the cables, housing, etc. integrating them into the bars and frame flawlessly in less than an hour. Suffice to say, the mechanic deserved a beer after that one (they do have quite the selection) and I wish I could rate them higher than 5 stars.

Tom’s crew turned my 25 year old Giant mountain bike into a fabulous cross trail bike. Outstanding tune up as well. I spent an hour learning about the latest technology in road and mountain bikes. These guys are passionate about riding and can put you on the best ride based on your budget and riding style. Great select of accessories as well. I am new to skate skiing and Laurie spent over 2 hours helping me find the best skis, boots, poles, and wax to match my needs. She is full of skinny ski knowledge and was very helpful. I bought my first Mountain Bike at Wheel and Sprocket since I didn't know about Doc's. I bought my new Road Bike at Doc's (Cannondale System Six) and have since bought 2 other bikes there and now looking for another Mountain or Fat bike. Our family has become repeat customers at Doc's due to the Customer Service, Knowledge of the Staff, and great Maintenance Team. I was amazed at the personal attention we have received when buying bikes, looking for advice, and understanding how to take care of our bikes. When you talk to the people at Doc's you feel like you are just conversing and not being sold anything. I wish I could give Doc's a 4.8 but you can't do it with this star rating system. The only reason I'd hold back on a 5-star rating is that the pricing is more than other stores and they can get busy and you may have to wait. But you get what you wait for and patience is a virtue.

We brought them back in and they were replaced immediately with zero hassle. They even waxed the replacement pair for him because we had mentioned that we had been planning to use them on a ski trip that was only days away. I recently visited the Bicycle Doctor Nordic Ski Shop several times to learn more about the skin skis, my wife and I recently purchased from their store. Shane, Maciej, Jason and Megan were most helpful!!! Visit 1: Shane advised that have his team prepare our skis for the Sisu, a 30km XC Ski event in Ironwood MI. In less than 24 hours our skis were waxed and ready to go. Shane also epoxied a minor ‘ding’ on one of my skis to prevent further moisture damage. Visit 2: Maciej and Jason provided me with a lesson on how to wax the skis myself in advance of our second race of the season. They were awesome!! Maciej taught me how to apply, spread, and then scrape the layers of hot wax off our skis. While wax was cooling, Megan even sold me some ski gloves for my wife! She modeled them perfectly!! I returned to the store to buy ski poles. Supply was not available for the poles I wanted, but Maciej creatively figured out a solution using the only viable poles available. Tested them yesterday and they work great! Great store + wonderful staff = 5 stars!!

I had never purchased a bike before. In fact, I don't think I had even been on one in the last twenty-some years. I decided biking would be a good way to keep active so I began my search. I was instantly overwhelmed. My first stop was Wheel & Sprocket in Delafield. I will just say, it was not a positive experience. After that I went into Bicycle Doctor In Dousman. Bret greeted me and asked me some pretty basic questions. We found the size I would need first (something I would have got wrong on my own) and then looked at some different options. He answered all of my remedial questions without snickering or making me feel like an idiot. When we made the selection, I was allowed to test ride it as long as I wanted on the bike trail.(which is literally adjacent to the building) After I made my decision we went over shifting and some basic knowledge I would need to operate the bike. I couldn't be happier. ( By the way, the bike I bought was $120 less at Bicycle Doctor. Not because we haggled, It was just priced far better. I honestly would have paid far more for the level of service I got.) I am already actively riding around twenty miles a day. Way more than I planned. I love it! Thank you so much for all of your help!
