Stopped into Scheller's Fitness & Cycling in Middletown on Saturday to deal with a flat/damaged tire and received truly excellent service all the way around. My tire was fixed in less than 10 minutes. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful and my salesperson Nick was fantastic. I also ended up replacing my helmet and buying a bike rack for my car. Nick helped install the rack and made sure I knew how to use it before I left the store. I highly recommend Scheller's if you are looking for a knowledgeable, local bike shop that really knows their stuff and has a great selection of products.

If you're looking to purchase a new Trek, then you'll be in great hands if you buy from Scheller's. They know what great customer services actually means. I had been searching for a District 4 Equipped without success until I came across one in stock in Scheller's store in Evansville, IN. When I reached out to inquire about the bike, Marty quickly replied and was truly a pleasure to work with. While they typically don't handle long-distance sales, Marty made it seem like it's something they do everyday. He arranged to get the bike to Louisville from the store in Evansville, ensured it was disassembled and packed tightly and arranging all the shipping details without a hitch.

I purchased a MTB back in May 2021, excellent customer service & good craic while making the purchase. At the time, it was slim pickings due to the pandemic causing supply issues but was lucky to zero in on just what I was after without either taking out a second mortgage or waiting three months for the bike to be delivered. I never made it back for the complimentary 90 day/100 mile tune up as I did not want to be without the bike and was even using it during the colder months. Time to get it for a service before being able to count on days of riding weather, took it back for a service. The lifetime service adjustment warranty is brilliant. Turned around in two days & the chap that took the bike in, performed the service & handed it back was nothing short of the best you could have hoped for (so sorry I didn't catch your name!)! If I hear of anyone interested in buying themselves a new bicycle, there is only one place in Louisville I will tell them to go to! At the time of writing, a 4.8 out of 5 across 452 reviews speaks volumes. Keep up the fine customer service folks!

I ordered my bike over the phone with Jesse who was very helpful. It was my first road bike and even though purchasing over the phone and from out of town, he made sure to ask the right questions and be sure the bike was a good match for me. I had to wait a couple of months for it to get in because of the backlog because of Covid but they were very open and honest when giving updates on the bike’s ETA. Everyone I worked with was awesome, professional, friendly and informative throughout the process. I drove in from Cincinnati to get my bike and it was absolutely worth it for the experience. Katie helped me get acquainted with not only my bike, but all things cycling. She was patient and very knowledgeable. I should have reviewed a while ago. However, this place is THE best at what they do. I bought all of my gym equipment from Scheller’s due to the customer service that I received day one. From my own gym, to my kid’s bikes I will not buy from anywhere else. This last experience was so cool as I bought flooring nearly 7 years ago. I have grown my gym over those years and the flooring is now discontinued. Instead of turning me down and spending much more money on entirely new flooring, Scheller’s went above and beyond to search for exactly what I needed from the company that discontinued that very same flooring to get me the last pieces I needed for my gym. It took a lot of persuading and follow up, not on my part, but Scheller’s with the flooring company. I’d say they went well above and beyond what anyone else would do.

We purchased an Octane Q47 Elliptical from Scheller's and it is our favorite piece of equipment! The staff was very knowledgeable from the very beginning and really educated us on which item was right for us and our needs. Scheller's also delivered the Elliptical to our new home and was very careful when moving it to our basement. Their delivery staff is top notch! Greg never got frustrated and was patient when scheduling the move for a treadmill. I had to cancel and reschedule multiple times. He is extremely patient. The movers Dakota and Jerrin were also great. They worked extra hard to resolve an issue with move. They fixed the issue, offered to answer any questions or concerns I had. Great customer service. I will purchase any future exercise equipment from Scheller’s.

I had a great experience renting a dual suspension mtb. The bike was rolled out and ready when I arrived and the final setup w the suspension was quick. I'm an advanced rider and was happy with the model and build that I rented. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.... Wow, awesome experience with Katy and James at Schellers. I am new to the world of cycling so I didn't have a clue what to look for. Katy was excellent! She took the time to find out exactly what type of bike I needed, then she found one in the shop that was my size and in my price range. She took an hour or so making sure the bike would fit my needs and at no time did I feel that she was being anything less than honest with me. James also spent alot of time with me to explain the technical details of the bike and he also answered tons of questions I had. Just a great experience with these fine people. Great experience working with several people within Schellers... I wish the selection was better but as many of you know who have shopped for anything at a bike store in 2020 it’s just like that. I bought my first Trek bike from Scheller's about 7 years ago. Since day one they have always been extremely helpful with any questions that I have. I have had my bike tuned up a few times and every time I get it back quicker than expected. This week I messed up one of my spokes and my wheel was not round anymore. They told me it might take 8 days to fix. I had the bike back in 2 days, and everything is wonderful. I was appreciate talking to anyone in the store because they are so knowledgeable about the equipment. They make riding a bike easier and better.

While cycling near Louisville, I broke a spoke and needed to remove my freewheel to change it. I didn’t have the tool. I brought the wheel into Scheller’s and James happily removed the freewheel so I could make the repair myself. There was no charge. I appreciate that type of superior customer service. A few weeks later, when I needed some minor maintenance, Jesse kindly worked me into the queue in a timely fashion so that I didn’t have to leave my bike there for days. Well done. Thanks.

Dakota and Jerren moved an eliptical from my house about 1 month ago. It required near complete disassembly of the unit so that they were able to take the components down a staircase and around a challenging corner at the bottom of the stairs without causing any damage to the walls and railing. They were very professional, provided answers to my questions and left the area where they worked cleaner than when they started. I commend them for the excellent job they did and would not hesitate to do business with Scheller's again.

I purchased a BH treadmill over 2 years ago and unfortunately it continued to breakdown under very minor workload. After the 5th break, Schellers agreed to totally replace the treadmill with a brand new Lifespan model of similar price and size. I walked into Scheller’s for the first time today as a complete Novice, with a pretty nice bike that I bought off of a friend. You should’ve seen their eyes when I pulled the bike in the door to get their help. They didn’t make me feel bad for a single moment being brand new to the sport, and in fact were extremely encouraging. The gentleman that helped me move the cassette from the wheel over to the trainer that I’d come in for also assisted me in some new gear I would need. The enthusiastic woman at the counter chatted with me about her triathlon experiences and even suggested a beginners triathlon series that I could get started with this winter to help rip the Band-Aid for training for the half Iron Man I plan on doing next summer or fall. This crew is the real deal, and took all of the intimidation I felt away from the moment I walked in the door. I can’t wait to get into the world of triathlons!

I purchased rack and hitch lock from amazon that looked like it would work. It didn't. Fortunately amazon doesn't charge for replacements. I then went to Scheller's where I had originally purchased the rack and showed them the bolt from my wrack and quickly came out with a lock that would replace the bolt exactly. You need something specific, go to Scheller's. They know.

Bought a Jamis DXT a month ago and while on vacation it was damaged. I brought it into the shop today and thought it would be a few weeks before I would be able to ride again. As I entered James an associate of the store greeted me and asked what was the issue. He immediately evaluated the damage, assured me it wasn't as bad as I thought. Within 15 mins my bike was ready to go, the whole time he took the time to talk me through what he was doing. This is not a high end bike, yet I was treated as if it was. James went out of his way to take care of the bike and get it road ready. Customer service like this is rarely seen today. As I ride more I am sure I will upgrade in the future. The team at the Middletown shop have been life savers over the past four years. Growing up here and returning home in 2010 the staff at this store has been very helpful on 100's of visits. The constant need for a racing teenager can bring you to the shop several times a month, week or day. I recommend them highly for bikes , clothes or repairs. We have had some of the "got to have it now" turnaround times and I know for a fact the mechanic staff has worked after hours to get a bike finished for a race deadline. Love love love my new TREK 7-3, I purchased my bike from the Middletown Scheller's. My salesman (Marty) was very patient and knowledgeable. He met with my husband and I for approximately 2 hours. My most recent experience with Scheller's was when they came to my family's rescue during a recent community event. Greg Scheller and his crew were on-hand to assist cyclist and it looks like they were busy helping all day. They were courteous and helpful as they made repair after repair. I was relieved when I saw their truck when my daughter's bike was disabled because I knew there would be someone aboard who could help. I've been a Scheller's customer since 1994, having purchased bikes from them and taken bikes to them for service and the occasional repair. They never disappoint with their products and workmanship; all at a reasonable cost.

The bikes we rented for one week from Scheller's were top of the line. They were excellently maintained and equipped Treks. The young guy that helped me was HONEST. He didn't try to confuse me with a bunch of tech talk, he didn't persist on selling me things I didn't want and he really helped introduce me to my new hobby of gravel biking. Scheller's is a top notch establishment. The salesman who worked with me was very patient and helpful and offered me honest advice without pushing me to buy outside my price range. I went home with a Trek 7.2 FX and I have loved it from day one. They didn't have one built when I originally called to buy, but even though they were swamped they managed to have one built for me the same day. I came by and test rode it, and everything was dead on perfect: the brakes, the derailleurs, the alignment, everything. Plus you get a couple free comprehensive services when you buy a bike with them. Scheller's goes the extra mile in making their customers happy. Honestly one of the best businesses I've ever dealt with for anything. The prices are good, the selection is good, and the customer service is bar none the best I've ever had. I had not felt confident with a previously-purchased bike rack from the internet and so, never used it, and wasn't riding for six months. I stopped in Scheller's on Shelbyville Road and Katy talked me through it. She showed me features of a few makers, compared single bike racks to 2-bike, etc; discussed weight, ease of use, and HOW to install, operate etc. I purchased a 2-bike Kuat, which she helped me attach to the hitch. I felt confident to go pick up my bike (needing a check-up) and return with it that same day. The technician put a few things right in a matter of minutes. I could not possibly be happier with my experience here. I needed a Guru, and got two in the same day. I can travel with my bike, and ride again: a broken part of life was restored. Excellent!

I have been wanting to purchase some new shoes for a while. So, I finally had some time on a Sunday, and Scheller's was open! As soon as I walked into the store I was impressed with the store. Shortly after, I was greeted by Ian. I digressed to looking at bikes, and he proceeded to discuss the type of rider I was, and we had easy conversation. There was no pressure and he was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He then introduced me to Brooke, and she was equally knowledgeable, and pleasant to deal with. Just had a set of wheels installed on my bicycle by Sheller's in Lexington. Once the wheels arrived they were set up, installed, with all the adjustments. As the adjustments were made, I was able to watch and learn how to complete this myself. The quality and attention to detail of this bicycle shop is amazing, they always shine. Everyone that works at this store are professionals. I only get a Saturday off once every few months, and you can bet I will come in to Scheller's on that day, even without the Wife's permission. I have had a trail bike from Scheller's since the 1990"s and it is still a reliable vintage ( as It were) good bike. Because I am 72 years old I purchased a TREK pedal assist bike and totally still keep on biking thanks to this new technology. I have rode bikes since my trike ! and a hand me down from my cousin Rita ! I enjoy the freedom bicycles give me , the fresh air and sunshine and because I purchased from Scheller's I have faith I can count on the quality of my new bike afterall the old one lasted all these years! Took my Trek bike in to have a simple tune-up. Wanted the chain to be checked and overall maintenance. James put my bike in the rack and 5 minutes he was finished. Turns out it didn’t need a tune-up. Just a few screws retightened and air in tires. Fantastic service. Will be back

I simply love to ride but I'm not fully understanding of all of the different types of road bikes and benefits of the different price points. Jesse was very patient in helping me with my decision. I went to a big box store competitor first and they offered very little help in selecting a new bike for my son and actually did not have one single bike available for what we were looking for. When we went to scheller's there were many many options but more than the bike itself we had a sales representative that made our experience fantastic. the representative was extremely knowledgeable and took the time 2 make both my son and I feel comfortable with our decision to purchase. we are also extremely pleased with the bike we bought and it looks as though this is something he can keep and ride for many years ahead.

This store had a discontinued Bontrager item that I couldn't find anywhere on any Trek site. From the time I found the item on the Internet in their store to the delivery today, it was a great customer service experience. I needed to add an additional item to the original order so Jesse, the Scheller representative, made sure the original order was held up until the other item could be included. This saved me shipping costs. The items were delivered in perfect condition today. Although I live too far away to purchase products in one of their stores, I will definitely buy my cycling needs through Scheller's online.

I traveled from PA to Louisville with the family to visit my in-laws. Along cane my project one Emonda slr 7 disc but left behind was my Di2 charging cable. Once at the shop, I realized it was extremely busy and that they may not have time for me. Not the case. In fact, after double checking and realizing my charge was good we took it one step further. John Molnar personally took my bike back and did a quick stem flip for me. John mentioned how he knew the area of PA where I was from and how he had spent a lot of time there himself as he has family in the area. He commented on Cutter’s bicycle shop in Bethlehem and how they helped him out with a free rental at one time. What John did for me, stepping outside the norm and prioritizing my request, was a pay-it-forward in a sense and another excellent demonstration of how the staff at Trek bicycle shops treat their community. I greatly appreciate the brief conversation and excellent service. When I am in KY, I will be certain to take the trip back to Shelbyville road and visit John and his crew. I’ll go out of my way to make a purchase (even if it just be another pair of socks) to support the team there. THANK YOU John, excellent personal/professional customer service!!!

While on vacation from Chicago, my husband and I and stopped in to find a tray rack to transport our bikes safely 350 miles home. The hanging rack we drove up with damaged our new bikes in transport (*sob*) so we needed to find a high quality one that we knew could go the—literal—distance. Holy cow. The customer experience we had was beyond fantastic. With only 25 minutes before closing time, Marcus and Katy helped us pick out a rack per the specs we were looking for. We were worried about having to assemble it on our own with the limited tools we packed, so Katy got one of the extremely capable mechanics (James...? Jake...?) to assemble it and help us put it on—with now less than 15 minutes to closing time. The customer service “piece de résistance” was when—I kid you not—a flash, torrential downpour came on mid-rack-attachment and Katy and the mechanic stood in the rain to make sure it still got ratcheted on tight. Katy deserves a million gold stars. Lol. All told, these people are the best. Wish there was a location close to home for us!

The entire operation was positive, and I bought my bike at a great price, too. Scheller's is the best bike shop in all of Kentucky.

Recently needed to replace two tubes on my TREK DOMANE road bike. Was going to pull the old ones and replace myself but “Tuky” offered to have it done while I waited which took no more than 5-10 minutes at no additional charge! I have purchased treadmills, work out machines and at least two bikes over the years at Scheller’s and have always received the same level of friendly expert service! The products they sell perform extremely well even though I use them a lot. In fact I’m referring a friend to “Marty” at Scheller’s Middletown location today who is in the market for a True treadmill. I usually don’t do reviews but can’t say enough good things about my Scheller’s experience!

My son and I received good service on this trip. My bike repair was complete and done to my satisfaction. What made the trip noteworthy was that my 10 year old had purchased his first bike odometer when I had dropped my bike off the prior week, but we couldn't get it to work. My son asked the person for help and they replaced the battery and even programmed the device even though they didn't have to do that. My son was thrilled and so that made me happy. My only critique is that you often have to wait in line for a long time to get help and you are not usually acknowledged the entire time you wait. Attention to that detail would be helpful, otherwise a person can feel undervalued as a customer.

Made a purchase and item was shipped to me. Thought about giving 4 stars because there was no communication when item shipped and order status not updated on account I set up. However, when I called they were very helpful and even called me later that day to ensure I was updated with order info. Seem like good people and I’m certain I’ll shop there again.

Scheller's was fabulous from looking and trying the different home gyms, to explaining the advantages of each brand, trying the different features and making the purchase (The Inspire FT2) that fit our needs. The staff was very helpful, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. The price was significantly lower than anywhere else, including the internet! The install was timely, efficient and very professional. They reviewed the operation and features and left the place cleaner than when they started. 5 Stars all the way around (as usual) for Scheller's Fitness. Could not have been more thrilled!!!!!

I want to make sure that Scheller’s and potential customers know the lengths that their employees go to for their customers. My father has been a customer at Scheller’s for many years. He was VERY active – running marathons, swimming and riding bikes. However, a paralyzing spinal cord injury has left him dependent on a cane and a walker. Since he has always been active he still wanted to ride a bike. He purchased a TerraTrike about 6 years ago and rides it at least 4 days per week. Whenever the bike needed to be serviced he always wanted to go to Scheller’s. On his most recent visit into the Middletown store, he spoke to JESSE ROBERSON. Dad explained what he thought needed to be serviced on the trike and wanted to find out how he could get that accomplished in the easiest way possible. Jesse dropped by his house after business hours – on his OWN time – and picked up Dad’s bike – in his OWN vehicle! He took the bike to the store, serviced it and delivered it back to my Dad’s house within a couple of days! Jesse didn’t have to do that but he went out of his way – above and beyond – to take care of an older gentleman’s biking needs. As a daughter, I cannot tell you what this means to me! I will ALWAYS recommend Scheller’s for biking needs to anyone who will listen!

I asked Scheller's to assemble a mountain bike for me. It was donated to raffle for charity and the assembly was much more than I could ever tackle. Not only did they make sure everything was assembled correctly, they did it in less than 24 hours! I was overwhelmed trying to figure out how I was going to get this bike out of my car, and then get it onto a bike rack. Of course, they were incredibly helpful and I didn't have to lift a thing thankfully. I feel so comfortable giving this bike away knowing that it is assembled correctly by professionals. I love a business like Scheller's that does so much for a community. They set a great example for others! :)
