Went in for a fitting with Jonathan not knowing what to expect, and the experience completely blew me out of the water! His evaluation was thorough and all encompassing, starting with body mechanics and progressing to customizing the ideal bike fit for me. He was the consummate professional the entire time. This appointment was absolutely worth every penny. Before you drop a small fortune at a bike shop which may or may not know what they're doing in terms of fit, do yourself a favor and get evaluated by a professional. 10/10, highly recommend

A bike fitting is an absolute essential if you spend more than 30 min on a bike at a time. There is just so much that I didn’t know that I didn’t even know until I walked in. Jonathan is the best in the business. He was super professional and insightful every step of the way. Communication before and after we’re also top notch (which for me is nearly as important as the service itself). My bike feels like a new bike and I’m excited to get out and ride with the new fit. Not only do I not feel any more pain. I feel much stronger and more efficient.

If you're looking for a focused, mindful, super attentive, and personal experience go to Acme for your fitting. Had a fitting with Jonathan and can't say enough about how great of an experience it was. The studio was peaceful and very zen - a place you can hang out in all day. Great music. Great vibe. Some might find the price tag to be on the higher end, but each hour I was there made me realize the value of this service...and I still have a follow up visit to take advantage of. Also, Jonathan pulls a good espresso.

I went to ACME the other day because I was having various discomforts on my road bike. Tingling sensations here and there. Uncomfortable seated position. I knew that I needed professional help to sort it all out. Jonathan was excellent all around. He explained all of his observations in easy to understand ways while he tweaked my positions. In the end, we discovered a position that was most comfortable - raised seat post, shortened stem, for example. I bought a new saddle (very helpful) and have ideas for near future upgrades that should serve to improve comfort and performance. Jonathan was a great salesman, too, suggesting what I might need, but never pushing. I highly recommend and without reservations.

Acme Bicycle Co. gave me a very high quality bike fitting. I am very satisfied with the experience and the service i’ve received. I emailed Jonathan before setting up an appointment with some questions regarding a custom titanium frame and options as a 6’6” rider. He was very prompt to respond and answered all my questions to my satisfaction, so i made an appointment. I selected the “pre-fitting for new bike” service option. Jonathan was very friendly and welcoming once i arrived. During the appointment we went over my cycling goals, currently bike discomforts, physical assessment, and a new bike positioning on the Guru. There was a lot of stuff we’ve went over. Along the way, Jonathan answered all my questions honestly, you could tell he is very experienced in his craft. He did not try to up-sell me or give me a sales pitch. His overall goal is to get you comfortable and fitted properly on your new bike, and it shows. At the end of the fitment, we talked about my options and decided it’s best for me to get a custom titanium frame due to my above-average measurements and cycling goals. So, we’re currently starting that process. I am very satisfied with the service i’ve received and will happily continue doing business with ACME Bicycle Co.

I have had three bike fittings for three separate triathlon bikes over the last few years, and I will most certainly continue to go to Acme for future bikes. The experience of the staff understanding cyclists needs is of great comfort. You will leave knowing you will ride your bike comfortably and to your optimal personal needs. This last go around I was having saddle issues which was easily addressed after trying so many options available. Their knowledge of every bike brand and model makes the fitting and mechanical adjustments seem less daunting for a novice mechanic. I strongly recommend visiting them before you buy a bike in order to make the best decision on a big investment.

OUTSTANDING experience- highly recommended. Whether you want to compete at a high level or just get the most out of riding your bike, this is a great investment. I am a 'pleasure' triathlete- I am never going to win any medals, but I enjoy the training and the fun of the race, and I want my performance to be limited by my abilities, not my equipment. And I want to enjoy the hours spent training- they cause enough aches and pains without the addition of a mismatched bike. I spent right around 2 hours with Jonathan at the initial visit, and it was interesting and exciting. He has a great setup and talked me through everything he was looking at. He is knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. I am eagerly awaiting my report, and once I select a bike, he will help me source it, and then do the setup to get it all adjusted with me back in his studio. What a great service!

I had my bike fitting with Colin and the process was smooth from beginning to end. I came in thinking I needed a new bike, but Colin made several adjustments, from my cleats to my saddle height / position (and more) that ended up making a huge difference to how I felt on the bike. It was apparent he was trying to make my current bike work with my body without trying to up-sell me on any unnecessary parts or upgrades; he even gave me some tips on pedaling form while we were working out the fit, true professional. The combination of using a professional grade fitting system, and his expertise made it well worth the expense. The ride to ACME and the ride home were night and day, and with the new fit, I'm confident I'm ready to train hard this fall/winter on my new smart trainer without worrying about the usual aches and pains I get from riding.

They spend a lot of time with customers and go out of their way to make sure all your questions get answered while explaining every step of the process. After the initial fit, they continue to be super responsive over email and make sure you're totally happy with the fit and setup (if ordering a new bike). I came in for a bike fit on a bike I've had for a few years now. I came in looking to get my fit dialed in and to hopefully alleviate some minor pains I felt while riding. Colin was there to help me get set up. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He listened to my questions and helped me understand how the changes we made to my bike setup would affect the way my bike felt while riding. Needless to say I feel like I'm riding a brand new bicycle and feel so much more efficient while riding. I highly recommend ACME for a proper bike fit! UPDATE: I went back to ACME for a follow-up visit a couple of weeks ago, and switched out my handlebars with ones Colin had recommended, I thought that riding my bike couldn't get any more comfortable but I was wrong! If have any issues or discomfort while riding, and are not sure if a bike fit will help you, I highly recommend visiting ACME, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised to feel the difference after they set up your bike correctly. I booked a fit due to pain in some areas and wasn't exactly sure on the cause. Jonathan, who kindly and patiently, informed me on why I was feeling pain or discomfort and was able to alleviate some of it whilst telling me what I needed to work on. There was no stone left unturned, as he was extremely thorough and watched my pedal stroke from every angle. He goes more in depth compared to other bike fitters in the area and has a great sense of humor. P.S. Steer clear from trucks :)

I got some work done and was super impressed by their communication, attention to detail, and speed. When my bike was returned to me, it was in perfect working order. They took the time to clean the bike from top to bottom and it was by no means clean when I dropped it off. When swapping brake cables, they even made sure to replace the electrical tape holding the wires with a full-length heat shrink. Its not the cheapest and definitely not for everyone; but for more complicated work, especially work on higher-end gear, its perfect. Will definitely be coming back next time I want a fitting as well

Had my bike fit with Colin last week and took my bike out for a couple of trial runs before I wrote a review. The bike now feels brand new and is an absolute dream to ride. During the fit Colin explained what my issues were, how to fix them and the technical aspects of each change we were making. At ACME, the bike is truly fit to the rider and the riders individual goals and done in a very rigorous way. Would recommend to a friend, and will definitely be going back when I fancy a new bike upgrade!

Service by appointment only. Once scheduled / at time of appointment (inconspicuous store front/small signage), buzz and take the elevator to the third floor. Highly attentive, personable and knowledgable, Jonathan makes astute form assessments and bike adjustments. Welcoming, modern and spacious work area and if you go during nightfall, there's a decent sunset view. :-) ***NOTE: I am a non-competitive year-round commuter cyclist and had my fitting appointment late fall (during covid-19 pandemic, wear your mask). I am quite conscious re: form and posture, so I thought to eliminate any poor setup to avoid pain and potential worsening form. I have suffered from TOS (thoracic outlet syndrome) and have experienced low back soreness. Commuter biking is an activity I do often, mostly between Brooklyn and Manhattan for a period of 40 minutes to 2+ hours most days, depending on my schedule. Highly recommend.

A great bike fitting experience from start to finish. Easy online booking system takes any friction out of scheduling. Once in the space, Colin was a delight to work with. We chatted through my riding preferences and had a look at my current position on the bike, which needed some adjusting. I came in with a problem that I'd read would mean I'd have to stop biking for years if not forever. Jonathan went to great lengths to let me know that that was absolutely unacceptable and that we'd be able to sort it out. The bike fit, not my first, was the most thorough, thoughtful and wholistic experience I've had. Riding since the fit has been a revelation - and though for now, it's a new lease on life but he'd also made it clear if something feels off, if the saddle no longer feels right, I can come right back. I was never about any kind of 'up-sell' if that's the word, it was problem-solving me and getting me back out there, riding happy again! Cannot recommend Acme heartily enough! I had a bike fit with Colin, and it vastly exceeded my (already high) expectations. The main goal was to do a fit for a new bike. I learned a ton about the principles of bike fit, and left with a much stronger understanding of how to think about my interactions with the bike. We also made some small but impactful adjustments to my current bike. Colin didn't try to upsell me on anything here, and even on the short ride home I felt a dramatic improvement in how I felt on my bike.

Always a pleasure to deal with and very knowledgeable. Keep in mind that they stay busy from April to October so it's not the type of place where you get service on demand, but the wait is worth it.

The changes that Colin made to my riding setup were subtle but transformative and greatly improved my cycling experience - rides were always fun and comfortable but now feel better, with more power transfer, less pain and more control. Had a bike fitting with Jonathan about 2 months ago. Came in with some discomfort in my knee and seeking a more aero position. A couple hundred miles later and the discomfort has since disappeared entirely and riding posture feels far more natural. Strongly recommend!

Good vibes from the moment I walked in yesterday Oct 29th, 2020 10am appointment. Jonathan has a professional studio with all the expensive heavy artillery needed for a All OUT bike fit. I cannot wait to ride each day and see how the changes improve my overall abilities on a bike.
