They let us take the bikes for a test ride, and we were very impressed by how fun and easy they were to ride! We purchased two Aventon E bikes, and we are very, very satisfied! It’s amazing how so many things can be accomplished in such a small space. Bicycle sales and maintenance, suspension maintenance, professional bike fits on NEW up to date equipment, ski and snowboard tunes and rentals, snow shoes, sandblasting, powder coating, DJ service, disc golf supplies. All of this from a team that is passionate and professional. I worked there part time for almost 4 years and there was numerous occasions where George “the owner” sent us all out for training. Bosch to learn how to work on EBike motors, SRAM Tech in the Springs to stay up on the latest and greatest from those guy. Fox has came through on a few occasions to make sure we are staying current with them as well. As well as holding us accountable making sure we are staying current with Shimano and Trek training. All of this while still staying active in the community. The local re-ride program as well as helping at local races and staying involved with the local HS MTB team. You don’t get this high of a rating from this many people by being AVERAGE. If you want a great experience from an even greater team don’t go anywhere else.

Last week my world came apart when I found out my driver’s license was going to be suspended!for six months. The next day I started to shop for bicycles and I looked up Rock on Wheels website. They had a reconditioned bicycle at a good price. It was the perfect size for me and it was in my favorite color! The person that sold me the bicycle helped me equip it for the practical necessities I needed for my situation. The shop mechanic even talked to me. I could sense the pride in his voice and I felt very reassured of my purchase. The unraveled condition I faced now seemed less unraveling. I had not been on a bicycle for any length of time in the last 46 years. But when I rode away from Rock on Wheels on my new means of transportation, I knew I would not be alone. The staff at Rock on Wheels let me know if any problems arose they would be there for me. My world is coming back together and this bicycle store helped me do it. Thank you Rock on Wheels.

I was about to begin a long bike tour and discovered a broken gear part as I was reassembling my bike from its transport box. I walked into the shop late in the day, and they fixed it immediately, placing my problem ahead of all others on their work schedule. In 20 minutes, my bike was ready to go, and at a fair price! Very pleasant people, competent, and would not accept a "tip" from me for such excellent service.

I went in as a total beginner and did not receive as much guidance as a beginner needed. I walked out happy with a snowboard and boots. However, after shopping around for bindings, discovered that I was sold boots two sizes too big for me. My feet had not been measured, the associate did not ensure that my boots were properly strapped, I was not told what a proper fit should feel like, and I was left unaware of how much the boots would expand after breaking them in. I returned the boots the next day with no issues. I'm still happy with my board purchase and tuning. I also appreciate how polite and efficient the associate was, but wish he was more forthcoming with information that was vital to my purchase.

So much better to rent gear for snowboarding locally than at the mountain. It lets you skip waiting and jump right on the lift. The added flexibility to keep the gear for multiple days makes it even better. The service is fantastic to top it all off!

ROW was great with out ski rentals this past week. We had a large group with a lot of renters of different ski experience renting for different periods of time. They handled the crowd well, got everyone fitted, and provided great service to the beginners with zero hiccups. The skis i rented were great quality as well and they managed to get me fitted after my overgrown nephews took all the big boots. I would recommend them and would rent again the next time I’m in Cheyenne.

We rented some XC skis on a Friday evening with the intent to ski Tie City Saturday. However, all roads west were closed Saturday due to blowing snow. Called ROW and explained the closure situation and George was super understanding and allowed us to keep the skis until Sunday. Rental and return process was super easy and efficient. Skis, poles and boots were in good shape!

I have done a lot of business with Rock on Wheels over the past two years when I got back into cycling when the YMCA closed down for the pandemic. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and totally professional. Prices are reasonable. They have gone out of their way to address issues with my bikes which are mostly over 25 years old. I wouldn't take my stuff anywhere else. They have often addressed simple problems like flats or adjustments while I waited. For jobs that take longer, their estimates for completion are spot on, if not returned sooner than they promised.

Rock On Wheels is an awesome shop and they work fast! During my last mtb ride in the Rapid City area, the pistons in my rear brake froze up. We were headed to Curt Gowdy SP the next day, so we stopped in at Rock On Wheels on our way through Cheyenne to see if they could fix or replace the brake. Not only did they fix it, it was ready the next morning and the brake works better than it did when I bought the bike! And they even offered to lend me a bike so I could ride while they had mine. I can't say enough good things about this shop! The owner and staff were extremely personable, gave us trail recommendations and maps, and went above and beyond to make sure I could still ride while my bike was being fixed!

Took my pair of Black Crows in for a tune 3 days before Christmas, and George had them back to me the very next morning! The quality of the tune was amazing (after he put half a stick of P-Tex on my bases, that's how rough of shape my skis were in) and made them look virtually brand new again. These guys have been great! I typically do most of my service on my bike but have been in a pinch or realized I was missing a specialized tool and have taken it here. There service has been prompt and always well done. Even took the plunge and bought myself a decent demo bike from them after my old bike was stolen. The bike was in great shape mechanically had few decent scratches on it but totally worth the discount.

The mechanic in this place is awesome! My vehicle broke down here, while moving, so I figured that I'd check out the cycling scene and make a video. I stopped in to check out Rock On Wheels and I was amazed to see the mechanic wearing a mask. Nice to see that he cares enough about his clients to do that, unlike where I moved from. I was having a heck of a time finding a cable stay for my lefty fork and he gave me one that he had just replaced for a client, free of charge. Just found out that Rock on Wheels has every frisbee disc under the sun. I first went on Amazon and everything is colors may vary and shipping 3-9 days. Rock on Wheels had every disc I had considered buying, you could see how it looked and felt, plus prices were good. Customer service was also perfect. Good local business with good service. I wont buy another disc from Amazon.

Rock on Wheels is fabulous. They bend over backwards for you and always with great customer service. George is wonderful! This trip I finally sound a 24” for my 6 year old and they put it together in no time and gave the kid a quick primer. George found a bike for me a few years ago in Ft Collins and sent me there. As a active runner, I wanted to get into the triathlon game. I decided to buy my first tri bike. I was in the market for a used bike, as I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on my first bike. Knowing nothing about bikes, I went to Rock on Wheels for advice. They told me my size and what to look for in a bike. That gave me the confidence to look for a used bike on my own. Once I found a bike, I needed the bike fitted to myself. I can ride a bike but I’ve never rode a bike like this, nor have I been clipped in to the pedals. The whole fitting process was great. George is the owner and the person who fit me to the bike. He’s very knowledgeable and will answer any questions or concerns you might have during the process. After we were finished with the fit, we went outside and just rode up and down the road clipping in and out of the pedals. Once I felt comfortable, George grabbed a bike and we went on the greenway to test the bike. He was there the whole time and really made me feel comfortable on the bike. Now I can ride on my own pretty comfortably. The whole experience was great!! Everyone is really friendly there and will help you out in any way. Thanks Rock on Wheels.

George and the other staff were very helpful when I took my bike in to get repairs and a powder coat. I got my bike back quickly and the power coat looked awesome. Took my bike out that night only to run into some major problems with the bike and come to find out my frame was failing, probably due to an older bike with a lot of wear and tear. It was great of George, he understood that I had already paid for the services but graciously credited me for some of the work for another bike to get me back on the road. Quick and efficient service! Bought a big box store bike, and ended up after two days of riding breaking the derailleur. George took a look at it and found multiple other issues. Within two days he had it completely rebuilt and riding perfectly. Cant recommend this place enough!

The best! I will always recommend this shop. I came in looking for a new bike and could not be happier with my purchase and experience buying. I explained to George, who greeted me immediately, what I was looking for, my daily use of the bike, and price range and with the first bike he pulled nailed it. I had been looking at it, the Cannondale Althea, online for at least a week. He had me test ride it around the park nearby to get a good feel which was nice because a simple ride around a parking lot doesn’t give much time to see if you like something. He also talked to me about some child seat attachments as I have a toddler who will come with me. He didn’t try to sell me anything extra, no frills, just exactly what I wanted while giving me all information. He also talked to my husband about his specific bike set up for ours in the future. I called Rock on Wheels this afternoon, I was trying to find a place that could replace the innertubes on my bike so I could ride it this year, and work on my health, after being so house bound over the past 18 months with the pandemic and since my surgery. I spoke to a very curtious young man who informed me that they would be able to do exactly what I needed and it would take less than an hour to replace both front and back innertubes on my bike and quoted a price that was extremely reasonable. I loaded my bike up and took it over to their shop. I wheeled my sad bike in, and a pleasant and knowledgeable young man listened to what I needed and took my information, and said that they were not busy it should be done in a half hour. I told him that there was no hurry I had errands to run, but I could pick it up later, if not that afternoon, then the next morning. I knew that my bike was in good hands. They notified me by text message that my bike was completed and ready to pick up at 5pm, I texted back that I was on my way to pick it up. When I arrived, my bike was completed, and looked much better than when I had dropped it off. The technician helped me load my bike properly on the bike rack and advised me of a safer way to transport my bike, which I was very grateful. The whole cost of the 2 innertubes, the installation with tax was $40.26. In all it was a very pleasant and friendly experience. I certainly would recommend this bike shop, they are helpful and informative, as well as cost effective and easy to find. Great job!

I recently purchased my first road bike from George at Rock On Wheels, a Trek Émonda S, for a great price. George (the owner) helped me the whole way through from measurements, deciding on a model, a test ride, initial adjustments even to picking the right accessories. After all that, he took the time to show me how to take the tires off and explained changing a tube. Overall it was a fantastic, low pressure experience and I learned quite a bit to boot. Bought a Fuel EX 7 bike from them. It's been a great bike. They talked me into going tubeless, which worked pretty good for awhile. I guess I don't ride enough. Because they keep going flat, and that's what they told me was the reason. So I told them to change it back to tubes. Which they did by the next day. Also had the brakes bleed. This is a review of my online experience with Rock On Wheels. I found the site because I was looking for an MVP Nitro disc golf disc. At this time Nitros are almost impossible to find, but Rock On had them, plus a couple other stable discs I couldn't find at other places I normally shop at. Their online store is clean and easy to use, prices are the same or better than big online disc retailers, and shipping price was better than the big online retailers. I added this shop to my bookmarks and will be checking these guys out again next time I'm searching for discs!

My wife and I got our first set of back country Nordic (cross country) style skis from Rock On Wheels. Having only gone skiing a handful of times before, and never back country Nordic style, George was an amazing help. We got our equipment partly from his ski swap at stellar prices, and then he helped us order online and from his shop the rest of the equipment we needed. Ordering all the different parts of a full ski set up can be daunting for someone new to the sport, but George was helpful and communicative the whole time. When one pair of skis was taking a while to come from the manufacturer he let us use a set of rental skis for free so my wife and I could enjoy the first big snow of winter. The cross country ski trails at Tie City Trail head near the Lincoln Head Monument features both skate and back country Nordic skiing. These are world class trails and are free of charge to use, maintained through amazing volunteers. If you have ever thought about trying Cross Country Skiing I would highly recommend renting and giving it a go, and if the bug bites then buy your own set of skis from your local awesome shop, Rock On Wheels!

I stopped by ROW a couple of times before I made my purchase and both times the store employee and George, the owner, spent quite a bit of time with me answering questions and helping me select a bike that would fit my needs. I went on a few short trial rides around the park nearby, and when I decided to purchase, George took me through a whole list of things about my new bike ranging from theft prevention to getting my wheels off and on to understanding the shifting (in my language). My new bike came with one free annual comprehensive service and a lifetime of free adjustment service (George suggested that I come in as often as once a month during riding season). I am confident that if I need any help with my new bike, I can just stop by and ask for it! My husband is a price shopper, and in between my ROW visits, he price-shopped on the internet. It turns out our best deal was on ROW! Rock on Wheels can be seen in lots of places around town - DJ-ing or supporting local events. Not only do I like getting a bike and knowing I have service or expertise anytime I need it, but I also like making my purchase with this community-minded and supportive business.

First of all I live and work in Laramie. This is important because I went to every bike shop in Laramie, and not one has the caliber of Rock On Wheels. When I went to Rock On Wheels the last time I went mountain biking was nine years ago. A lot has changed in nine years, and I didn't know what I wanted or needed in a mountain bike. That's where Rock On Wheels helped me out. I was doing the last race in LMBS, and ordered my bike, but it wouldn't arrive in time for the race. They let me use a bike at no charge for the race! I borrowed my oldest brother's bike (not purchased at Rock on Wheels) and they sized and adjusted it for free! My son races NICA in high school, so Rock On Wheel gave a substantial discount on his bike. I also bought a fat bike for my son. We were there just before closing , and the stayed open past hours so we could leave with the bike that night. Speaking of hours Rock On Wheels is open everyday of the week including Sunday! The quality of work is exceptional. I've had 4 bikes worked on and they always fixed the bike the fist time. So YES I'll continue to purchase bikes and parts from Rock On Wheels. The drive is worth it, and You will never have any regrets.

George was great and very helpful. I needed upgrades to my Bliz electronic bike and I had very little time. I needed breaks, oil, lube, tighten and torque and puncture resistant inserts. My breaks were just not up to par from the factory and I have had the bike about 8 months. I felt it would be a good idea to have a professional look it over and make the upgrades I wanted. I walked in off the street, no appointment. George greeted me at the door and made me feel welcome. I told him what I wanted and he said no problem. I explained that I had very little time and if he was going to help me, I would need the work done right now and not in a week or two. I am a truck driver and I drive all lower 48 states, so I can't just come back in a week to pick up my bike. George wrote up an estimate and we agreed on a price for the work, which was very reasonable and in line with the listed pricing on the wall. I then asked George when he could get to it and how long it would take. George said I'll do it right now. George then pick up my bike, put it on the rack and started taking it apart. In the past I have never had a shop that said they could do it right now. Major props George. The quality of work was great. George insisted I test drive the bike before I left. He even came outside and wanted to know what I thought. There was a sight brake adjustment I wanted. Not only did George adjust it he showed me how to adjust it. George told me most repairs do take a day or two but that he factors in some time in the day so he and his staff can address walk-in's like me. George spent all the time I wanted with me. In addition I needed information about the area and bike routes. George showed me all about the Greenway and pointed out several things to see along the way. Awesome! I Highly Recommend George and Rock on wheels. Note to Truck Drivers, if you have little time, and you need quality bike repair go see George and tell him Andy sent you. Final thoughts: Rock on Wheels Rocks!!!!! Thanks George!!!!!
