I started coming to SoYo Nails after a bad experience with another salon. My nails were very thin, and I had red marks where a nail drill went down too far. Jenna, the owner, suggested I switch from acrylic to Apres Gel-X extensions to help grow-out my nails. She was knowledgeable, kind, and gentle and helped me through my pain and anxiety. So, I continued to come back. I met other techs and also had a great experiences. Now Carolina 💛 is currently my go-to for my structured gel manicures. Carolina does a fantastic job with designs while gently caring for my nails. All the damage finally grew out and my nails look so healthy. I also go to Shelly for my pedicures. But honestly all the techs do great work. I’m very happy with the quality, friendly staff, and hygiene of salon. I added a few pictures of my past manicures. 🙏🏼 Thank you!

I had the misfortune of coming in after being referred by a friend of mine to Jenna, who she had seen a couple weeks prior. I went in for the service of a gel X manicure, as I had issues finding a proper place since leaving Brooklyn. I wanted a French manicure, but with black tips instead. I went in YESTERDAY, 07/13. Since then, one of my nails have already started peeling. She left so much gunk under one of my nails due to obvious carelessness. She cut me as she was using tiny scissors to remove my cuticles which I had never seen done before, so my fault for not questioning it. She didn’t file my nails enough cause now I keep making scratches on myself due to how sharp the edges are. What I thought was a simple request turned into something much more complicated. It was clear French manicure was not her forte given the amount of time she spent on said manicure. First off she did not make the line of the black tips low enough so my natural nail was showing through the manicure. I had to tell her to go back and cover it up as it was looking very odd. She seemed to have a hard time understanding what it was that I was trying to explain to her for some reason. I only do French manicures so for her to not even see what was wrong with it, was confusing to me. The reason why I gave three stars and tipped her is because although the skill wasn’t there it was clear she was making an effort for it to come out decent. Which from a distance someone might think that. I recognize and reward effort and she was also friendly. However, due to the amount of time she spent on the nails I was in such a rush to leave I didn’t realize just how completely a mess my nails were, as you will see from the photos below. I also had initially gone in asking for a pedicure, which I also opted out of because I had already spent way too much time in her chair. Im very disappointed as I have not been able to find a decent nail tech to provide gel X manicure services since leaving Brooklyn, and it seems I will have to keep looking. Possibly she may be better at doing solid colors vs designs but overall would not recommend.

SoYo is by far the best nail salon I’ve been to. They have an easy to use scheduling system and are always so pleasant and helpful. My amazing Nail Tech, Jaylene, always does the most incredible job. She shares so much education and knowledge about how to take great care of my nails and shares inspiration for new designs. I love coming here.

One of the best things about SoYo Nails is the decor. This is a really cute salon. It definitely makes you feel like you're about to get pampered. The service, surprisingly, is just OK. I remember my technician being really gentle and careful at times- like when she was trimming my cuticles and filing my nails. At other times, she was a bit careless-like when she was applying my polish while carrying on a full blown conversation with another tech who was just hanging around. I just wanted to relax and get a nice manicure. No one tried to sell me a DVD, but no one offered me water either. My nails were OK. Meh.

I dont know why this place has such bad reviews at all... I went to get tips on March 12th for my birthday party and I was so delighted regarding the final product. Originally I had an appointment with Yessenia but last minute I ended up with Wilmarie and she was amazing! This place leaves your nails looking like celebrity nails. Ive never had a better set done. I will be coming here from now on. The price is TOTALLY worth it.

I’ve been getting my nails done with Britt for about 5 years now & I will follow her anywhere. She is the best in Yonkers. My nails last for more than two weeks even when I get rhinestones. I always get compliments on my nails everywhere I go. Britt is a true artist

Was not impressed. The nail tech Veronica was rude and not helpful my first time cmng to soyo. Explain what wanted but she said it can only be done on long nails. Feel if she couldn’t do it just say it and let me be with someone else. I type on a computer constantly all day so can’t have long nails and not my style anyway! She kept talking and stopping and saying she wants to be home and hungry. The nails looks like I did them myself nothing special. If it was not for Julianna being kind to me while doing my pedi soyo would of lost a customer. Plans to speak to manager too about this customer service.

The nail tech that see is Amazing. Lijah is very gifted as are many of the young ladies that work there. HOWEVER, the management could use a drastic upgrade. The level of unprofessionaliam is unlike anything I've ever seen. The use of foul language and profanity is ridiculous. The outward discussion of pricing is shameful. A business is a business and should be run that way. Though they have immense talent I can see this place run into the ground quickly.
