This is the first time I’ve ever gotten hurt at a nail salon. Maria the technician used the electric grinder a lot, and she used them on the cuticles, so much so that the cuticles got gouged. One started bleeding, and two others were on the verge. It hurt while it was happening and so wasn’t very relaxing. She was also not very accepting of my feedback and did not apologize when the cuticle on my middle finger started bleeding. I imagine that the cuticles will grow back poorly. She did a good job, otherwise, and I tipped her well as I know she is just trying to make a living. If you go there, I would recommend not letting that electric grinder anywhere near your cuticles. Ouch! In the pictures, zoom in on the cuticle on the pinky in the first picture, and the cuticle in the middle finger in the second picture. Update: Aftee I got home, I have had a lot of skin layers peeling back from the uneven damage the grinder did. I have been cutting them back and massaging oil into the cuticles. The gel manicure is holding up very well.

This is maybe one of the best nail salons I have ever been to. I was visiting DC for the week and decided to stop by for a mani/pedi as it was near my hotel - it seriously exceeded all my expectations. Staff were very friendly and professional, space was beautifully decorated and clean, and the quality of service was top notch. My first time getting my nails done here at Oriental Oasis. I got a package for $199 which included a facial, mani/pedi (upgrade your gel mani for $15) and hour massage. Nancy did my facial - she’s very attentive, warm and sociable. Lily did gel manicure and regular pedicure. The massage was more of a pressure point focused massage which honestly was nice because i had a lot of knots and tension in my back. This might be an odd comment but i love the massage chairs - more massage functions than other nail salons I’ve been to in Southern California and NYC. And there are purse hooks at the manicure tables — ladies you get this! Lastly, they have water, tea, wine, champagne and mimosas to choose from while you get pampered! I’m glad i stumbled upon this place and i look forward to coming back!

No appointment needed on Friday afternoon. $43 for gel set with French tips. Nails were not as long as I would have liked when I arrived but they managed to preserve the length. French tips are a bit wider than I’d like but overall nice manicure.

My favorite nail salon in DC for every kind of mani and pedi—dip, gel, and regular polish. My nails always last a long time and the staff are really friendly and nice. They always accept walk-ins but it does make your life easier to call ahead to check availability or make an appointment since they’re a popular salon.

Hands down the best mani/pedi I have had! Nancy was wonderful! I enjoyed the whole session, and she even talked me into a 10 minute foot massage- which was worth every penny! The whole staff is very friendly and pay such attention to detail! I will be back when I come back to DC.

I’ve been going to this salon regularly for five years. It’s the closest to my home and decently priced given the area. After five years, I have no indication that they recognize me or know my name. The quality has varied dramatically, from finishes I’ve loved (got my wedding nails done there - they were perfect!) to sloppy jobs I’ve had to go home and fix myself. There’s always an up-sell ask, (pedicure? pay extra, get the powder dip? massage?), which I’ve come to expect, but as a longtime client, I’d think they’d know after five years that I make the appointment for the service I want. They usually have same day availability which I appreciate. Clearly I keep going back so it’s not a bad place to go, I just think there’s room for improvement.

Oriental Oasis is a fabulous nail salon! As a surprise, My boyfriend made an appointment for me and two of my best friends to have manicures and pedicures. All of the ladies were so sweet - making sure we were all seated together, offering us mimosas, and making sure we had everything we needed. Also - the chairs for the pedicures are amazing (built-in massages!!) My manicure was just a basic manicure and lasted for over a week; my pedicure has lasted for over a month! It ended up that the surprise appointment was part of an elaborate engagement proposal that my boyfriend had planned for me, and the ladies at Oriental Oasis were in on the secret! They made sure that I was pampered and treated so nicely, and that I made it to the next part of my day on time. I could not have asked for a better place to be relax on a special day. I'll definitely be back!

Decided to book a mani/pedi near my hotel while I was in town. I arrived a few minutes before opening in the rain, and the sweet employees let me in early so I wouldn't have to stand outside! Had a great time, wonderful service. And the massage chairs are much better than I have had elsewhere!

Went on my lunch break and had a VERY relaxing, professional and pleasant experience. These ladies are extremely friendly and get the job done. I've tried a new form of acrylic here and it's lasted long than the normal form of acrylic. I would recommend this salon to anyone !!

I always go on my (extended) lunch break. The salon itself is very relaxing, but not too "hoity-toity spa" like others in the area. They are a full-service nail salon and again that is very good compared to other salons. The feeling is welcoming, the whole staff is friendly and knowledgeable about nail services and the difference between each technique. I usually get the same lady (I still don't know her name though) and she is always precise and takes her time to ensure that I get what I want. I will be back!

I LOVE this salon! Yes, some nail techs are better than others, but it is a very nice and CLEAN environment (much cleaner than the lower priced nail salons). The prices are very reasonable for the location, quality of service and variety of services (long list of varying nail services, types of polishes, gels and dips and quite a selection of relaxing pedicures) available. The entire atmosphere is professional and relaxing. No, they may not create some of the over-the-top nail art work you see on reality TV stars, but they can set you up for the office.

Its a nice quaint place. Its more like a nail salon than a spa. I go there for pedicures. The service is quick with minimal wait times. Overall, Its a quick spot to go to on your lunch break and still make it back to work on time.

My only go-to in DC for my manis/pedis. They are always busy yet I've literally never had to wait. Service and energy are exceptional. And most importantly, the quality of work/craftsmanship is on point EVERY TIME. I am very particular about shape, thickness of polish, cuticles, etc. basically - everything. If I've ever had to ask a technician to fix something (no matter how minor), I've always gotten a smile and perfect results. Love coming here after a long day of work.

Best nail place I’ve been to in DC, and very consistent with quality. I get SNS dip nail polish here and like it. Only downside is that prices aren’t super transparent or always consistent. Definitely would recommend though. I always go here.

The moment you walk in, they greet yoi and make sure your wash your hands. Tiffany did my nails and she was so wonderful, patient, helpful and talented. Visiting Washington and my nails were in a dire state - they have been restored, excellent pedicure and great buff on my manicure - one star off for the price as was rather expensive I thought, what I would pay for a high end salon back home but I guess it is pricey real estate!

Great for manicures , pedicure and facial. But avoid doing eyebrows and always ask linens to be changed found hygiene there somewhat neglected. Found hair and other weird stuff under sheet twice in different occasions. Staff somewhat friendly.

In town on business. Needed a mani/pedi before meetings the next day. They fit me right in/no appointment. (I had called a few other places nearby right before and was told they were 1 to 2 days out!) Staff was friendly and efficient. Not spectacular for the spa/pamper part but for the price very decent. I upgraded to the hot stones message; Regular leg/foot rub was better than the stones ... Not worth the upgrade. Comfortable environment and bustling - clearly a local's place.
