I love this place more than life itself. The girls are super friendly and always smiling. The tanning beds, red light therapy, massage chair -- ALL OFF THE CHAIN. Mia in particular is easily the best in the business. She's so sweet and understands every service the company provides, not to mention she's the best conversationist. If anyone deserves a big raise, it's Mia <3

Kaycee is amazing to work with! I have never been into tanning and thought I would start a little self care this winter. She helped my learn the ropes and get a good idea of how to start my base tan and really take care of my skin treatment the light the whole process! I recently moved back to Utah from another state and I knew immediately where to go to get my membership back at Beaches. Cottonwood has the best location of them all. Constantly helpful and willing to go above and beyond. If witnessed it third party as well as experienced the great customer service. I've been back as a member for 2 days, and Kayla and Daisy have both helped me and have been amazing. Very kind, easy to work with, and I believe Kayla actually stayed after for me 30 minutes so I could double up in the Cocoon and Infrared pod. that's great customer service if you ask me! I will continue to go here and will sing their praises :) Also, contact me for info on a google management review software that is really competitively priced (especially if multiple locations) and could be a really cool option for you guys!

I love this location. The girls are always very helpful. This location is very clean & the girls are very helpful. I usually only bed tan but they talked me into spray tanning and it was way more natural then I was expecting!! 10/10 recommend!

I’ve been a member of the beach club for several months now, and while I do love my tan it is very expensive. I expect a level of good customer service when I’m paying $70 a month. There are a couple cute, sweet girls that work here but one shorter dirty blonde (mid twenties maybe) always has something negative or rude to say to me. She’s seriously so grumpy!! I come for self care and relaxation but she always seems to be the one at the front desk 🤦🏼‍♀️

I can’t say enough good things about Beaches Tanning. Especially the Van Winkle location. Mea got me set up with a membership and walked me through all the services offered. She gave me great advice to get to the color of tan I wanted as well as explained how she groups many of the services offered to get a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Mea, as well as the other staff, Sauana and Brook (to name just a few) are very welcoming, kind, knowledgeable, and personable. They not only provide great service but make you feel comfortable and excited to be there. I highly recommend giving this business a shot. I tan there weekly but use the other services multiple times a week. Can’t say enough good things about Beaches. Check them out and see for yourself.

Great bulbs in great beds. We have been very happy with the cleanliness and customer service here. We feel appreciated and valued as customers, and we love that there is a decent tanning salon in town! Edited to add that as of late, we've noticed understaffing and frequent lines of 2+ people waiting to be helped. Also wish the salon would have towels in the rooms, they've stopped doing this and it takes away from the perceived value for sure.

Just moved to Salt Lake City and bought a groupon for new customers. Groupon said it expired in 120 days. I saw reviews saying this is wrong and it actually expired in 30 days. Well, it actually expires in 1 week... would have been nice to know, and I never even got to try their diamond level room. Completely wasted my time and money. Edit: Someone from the tanning salon reached out via email to apologize for the misunderstanding, and offered me another week to try out the diamond level room that I had misses out on. I did write the original review while I was angry that I had unknowingly wasted the pass. I changed the review to 5 stars because if it weren't for the miscommunication which has now been resolved, 5 stars would be my honest review of the establishment. It is clean and the staff is friendly. I recommend using at least platinum level beds, and I look forward to trying the diamond level.

I've been going here for years. Coming to Utah from California it's nice to "soak" in the sun. There are a variety of tanning beds and spa rooms. I've met some really super staff and there's one especially who has stood out. It's Zoe. She has always been super professional and super sweet everytime Ive gone in and she's like that to everyone who walk thru the door. I've had multiple orthopaedic surgical procedures and the heat in the beds are healing and hopefully the red light therapy will be n healing as well. Zoe played a huge part in helping me get into red light therapy. She not only explained the benefits she uses it herself so seeing the results was also amazing. I highly recommend talking with her.

Very friendly staff, ladies are always lovely and the equipment is always clean. I will say that for the price some of the equipment has broken or work out buttons functions and the price of the lotions is quite on the high end side, and tbh I expected sun tanning glasses to be included in a monthly membership plan as well. But a nice experience to try overall.

I’ve only been tanning a few times and the places I went to all made me not want to return. At most salons, the staff is always judgey, rude, and unhelpful. That was until a friend recommended me to beaches! As I am not a frequent tanner, I don’t know my ins and outs to salons or even the “correct” way to tan. Thankfully, Addison was able to walk me through the best lotions, times, and frequency of tanning for a new tanner like me! I really appreciated how friendly and helpful she was! Addison really made me feel comfortable here so I will definitely be returning. I’d definitely recommend this place!

This is by far one of my favorite beaches locations in Utah, it’s very clean, peaceful, and the girls who work there are wonderful. My favorite is Avari, she always has a big smile on her face and she has excellent customer service skills. Every time that I go there I feel welcomed and relaxed.

I have been a member with Beaches Tanning for years now. I recommend their facilities 1,000%! I attend the Murray and West Jordan locations most because they are conveniently located to both work and home. The staff is always so nice and informative. Not too pushy about sales but just enough that I always know the deals. The facilities are clean and I feel very comfortable tanning and spray tanning. Love love love!!

I've been with Beaches Tanning Center for 15 years and can assure you they are the best. Beds are always clean and well maintained. I love the amount of sunless features that have also grown to offer additional services! (try the cocoon wellness spa to take off a little water weight - it's my go to haha). One of the best attributes that sets Beaches apart are the knowledgeable and friendly staff. Suggesting new products or services that will enhance/ensure that 'glow'. Everyone is always so personable and friendly. Brook remembers me, my tanning regimens, and conversations we had last time (I don't even always remember haha) - this professional and attention to detail will keep me coming back for fantastic service. This is a great place to go to get your tan. They sell your packages of tanning per month you go to so many per month it's fun. I'd like to go in and get my tan on for 10 minutes take off and go do my thing. But one thing I don't like is the smell of the Tanner that they have for you and makes you feel like you smell like funk. But it helps to bronze your body.

I've tanned at beaches for many years. I even worked at one for a little while and I really like beaches! Their salons are super clean and their beds are so nice. And they are very well priced too! The only thing to be aware of is that the workers have sales quotas and so they are often a bit pushy to sell you upgrades or lotions. That's why I stopped working there, I didn't like the pressure or sales. But if you can get past that than it really is a fabulous salon! Oh and they have good Groupon's too!

I have never had a good experience tanning until I came to Beaches on Van winkle, I have very sensitive skin and I always avoided tanning because I would end up getting burned. I can to beaches and Izzy helped me figure out exactly what I needed so my skin wouldn’t burn. I appreciated her kindness and how helpful she was. I will be attending beaches from now on.

I’ve been to a few different Beaches locations, but this one is the best I’ve been to so far. I didn’t have to wait for the bed I wanted, which was a first. Not only that, but Lauren was very helpful. From her suggestions in what products to use to make sure my tattoos were taken care of, to the amount of time I should spend in the bed. All in all it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this location.

Parker S. not only told me just which treatments would be the most affordable and the most effective, she even told me about their ultrasonic facials which was an absolute treat. The store was spotless, the pricing shouldn’t matter to you if you’re white and want a tan, and definitely a friendly and positive vibe in the workplace (especially from Parker S).

They have a new manager. 8.1.2019. (Brown haired gal.) When I pulled up early in the morning the salon was empty. This manager was keeping busy! Cleaning the lower window seals and buffing out the front decor and windows. When young leaders are doing things in your business, and no-one is looking, this is impressive! Thank you young leader!

Manager was really cool and suggested that my pale complexion would be best served in the red light treatment to heal minor skin imperfections: scars and wrinkles. 1 month later, I'm like a new man. Also their lotions smell amazing!

While I was waiting I saw several people come in just minutes before close on a Friday night which would be annoying to most workers, but she just was so cheerful and gracious and said how much she loves her job. I went in today to try out Beaches & got an embarrassing mark due to pressure points. I called the salon & the customer service & they were nothing but PROFESSIONAL, COMFORTING, and did what they could to help the problem & also ease my worries. I'll definitely be signing up here! The staff is very friendly and the environment was great, I went to get a spray tan for an event I had coming up and I would have to say I was very disappointed with the results and the prices are insane, I barely got any color and even though you apply a blocking lotion on your hands, my hands still ended up the darkest part of me and looked terrible. If you are someone who is looking to go tanning then I recommend using the typical beds or even the vertical tanning bed as opposed to spray tanning or using the high dollar tans, however be aware it will take frequent visits to gain the color that you expect.

I came into the Van Winkle location for the first time, I usually go the the Sandy location as it is closer to me. Gage and Berlin were there, so personable and friendly. Shout out to Gage for reminding me to take advantage of mystic tanning with my platinum membership. I have been taking advantage of the red light therapy and cocoon, along with the Dimond level bed...and I had totally forgotten about that other options. I would highly recommend this location.
