My experiences at Daela have been exceptional. I have now seen three talented artists and truly felt like they were all super passionate and caring individuals. Angela is the sweetest human ever and she made me feel comfortable instantly with her gentle approach and touch. This set the tone for my entire visit as I next saw Erica for microblading my brows on the same day. She provided such wonderful guidance in deciding what would compliment my face when I didn’t really know what to ask for. Vivian was my artist for lip blushing and I felt as though she took her time to give me the perfect shape. She was so friendly and down to earth that I felt like I could have just continued to talk for hours with her. Her calm but positive energy helped ease my nerves. I am from out of town and without a doubt would drive even further to have these amazing humans work on me. All three ladies explained the process of each service and aftercare thoroughly which I really appreciated. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for cosmetic tattooing. From the front desk to the artists, they all had the most kind words to say and I left the studio feeling confident in myself and in their work. That was such an amazing and cherished feeling!!

I went in for permanent eyeliner with Angela. The moment I walked in I knew I was in good hands. The studio was immaculate and beautifully decorated, with a calming effect. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and offered me a beverage while I waited. At my first appointment I was a bit uncertain of exactly what style I wanted, but Angela was an absolute angel and went over everything with me and made me feel confident and excited for my new eyeliner. She was very patient with me and my initial indecisiveness. Through the whole process she walked me through everything and was very informative and gentle, I also enjoyed our conversations. The whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable, which let's be honest.... not something you would expect from having your eyelids tattooed! The pain was minimal, as she numbs you throughout. I would absolutely recommend anyone wanting this done to go see Angela, she is a top notch professional and passionate about what she does. I also plan to get lip blush done here at Daela sometime in (hopefully) the near future. :)

I had my brows and lips done in December 2021 by Haley and Courtney respectively. The healing in December went very well for both. Both brows and lips included a touchup, which I just had done. Now it is absolutely perfect! It is so fun to wake up every day and not have to pencil my brows on or put lip color on (-which quickly used to come off with every beverage or meal!) It just looks wonderful now! 😀 Meraki Studios is a great place and the owners Lina and Erika are so kind and professional. The other employees are happy to greet you when you come in and it is a very clean place with a beautiful design. For me, it was worth it to fly into Portland from San Diego and have this done by the very best in the business! 🌟 Thank you, again!

I am SO glad I found Studio Meraki in the neighborhood. Lina Anderson gave me the best tattoo I've ever had. She is very pleasant to work with. She does an amazing work! She paid attention to details and tattoo exactly how I wanted, she offered further changes in the touch up session! Not only the service is excellent, her studio is extremely clean, professional and pleasant atmosphere; the hospitality and kindness I encountered from Lina and her staff was very refreshing. It is rare to find anyone who genuinely share kindness and authenticity! I wholeheartedly recommended to anyone who wants a tattoo with artistic and details!

I got my teeth whitened with Jamie yesterday. I have been wanting to do it for awhile but have been nervous because all other products have caused damage and sensitivity. Number one, Jamie is awesome. She’s super informative and personable. The process was quick and and comfortable. I walked out with super bright whites and was smiling all day! I had zero sensitivity. The salon is high-end, clean and the staff are so welcoming. I highly recommend this studio for your cosmetic needs. I’ll be signing up for other services soon!

Vivian was so easy to feel comfortable with. She made sure to be really honest about pigments and skin tone, which I really appreciated. My lips refused to take pigment in some areas and she was so patient and kept me in the loop. We went with a pretty mauve that healed to be a light pink. My lips just heal differently and absorbed the color differently because we’re all different. This is something to keep in mind when doing something like this. I love them so much and had the best experience with her. When I came back to do my eyebrows, she saw me in the lobby and gave me a big hug. I felt so seen by her, this is a group of amazing ladies dedicated to lifting people up while also running an incredible business. Here’s my before and after!

I got my lip blush done by Vivian at the new Daela Academy location in Vancouver last week! Top-notch vibes, super detailed process/protocols and absolute experts in their craft. Plus, the sister dynamic between Vivian and Lina is adorable. I was not the easiest client as I had previous work done by another artist a year ago, but Vivian took her time to make sure the shape and color correction were on point. One week later, my lips are in the “soft and light” stage of healing, but they are 1000% better than before. I can’t wait for my touch up in August. Thank you Vivian!!!

I had the lash enhancement tattoo with Angela three days ago. First off, Angela is one of the sweetest people I have met. She made the two hour appointment fly by. I was also surprised that the tattoo didn't hurt at all. Angela used two types of numbing creams on my eyelids and they worked like magic. The healing process has also been easier than I thought. The lash enhancement line looks super natural, even for someone like me (I'm super pale and have blonde eyelashes). I love it! I'm going to schedule another appointment with her to get the winged eyeliner add-on because she does an amazing job with those.

Angela completed my lash line enhancement and it was amazing! I wish I would have done this years ago! She was so good at explaining exactly what to expect, how to care for my eyes after and explaining what she was doing every step of the way during the process. Let me tell you, I want to be friends with this lady! She is so sweet and puts you at ease. The results speak for themselves - it's been a day and I already am getting compliments. My eyes have so much more definition than before and it looks so natural, like maybe I just have those naturally dark lashes everyone wants. The pain was like a 1/10 maybe - more of an itchy tickle because she numbs you up several times throughout the process Seriously, if you want to treat yourself, this is worth it. I was nervous, but didn't need to be. Can't say enough good things!

She was very thorough explaining the process to me and took her time drawing them out so I could get a sense of what they were going to look like. Erica is a true artist and microbladed the brow hairs to look so real - it’s hard to tell what hairs are my own and which she artistically drew on!! All in all, the entire experience was great! The desk staff and technicians were all great. Very professional, thoughtful and thorough. It felt like a real treat to myself and a luxury. Would highly recommend!

I used Daela for my first ever tattoo- eyeliner! I also went back to get my brows done, and get a lash lift and tint. I couldn't be happier with the service of the people there, the quality of the work, and the time they took with me to make sure I felt comfortable. The eyeliner was pretty uncomfortable/painful, but she did her best to numb me up. The brows hardly hurt at all. I'm so so happy with how it looks and I haven't worn mascara in 6 weeks! I can't say enough about how it's worth it to do this! I put it off for a long time, it wasn't until something tragic happened this spring that I decided to stop putting it off and do it. I'm glad I did.

I saw Angela in December for permanent eyeliner. I loved her work so I trusted her to do an excellent job—her gallery of work really speaks for itself. Despite walking in with high expectations, Angela completely floored me. Her attention to detail is incredible! One of my eyes retained more ink than the other (normal) and Angela evened it out perfectly. If you’re on the fence at all about it- do it! Highly recommend Angela! I had lost most of my eyelashes and eyebrows to chemotherapy when I was battling cancer. Unfortunately, they never grew back in fully. These folks are amazing. Everyone I've interacted with has been kind, laidback, and still completely professional. Microblading with Amie: She was so communicative and went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable with the process-- and I barely felt a thing. I love not needing to do my brows every morning. Lip Blush with Vivian: She is so lovely to work with, and a perfectionist in the best possible way. I've got a really peaked cupid's bow, and she did a spectacular job accentuating my natural lip shape and evening out the color of my lips. It's like waking up every morning with a perfectly done natural lip. I'm in love with the results. Lash Enhancement with Angela: The eyes were the most intimidating to me and she made it a walk in the park. If anything it almost tickled. I've had more uncomfortable experiences having regular makeup applied. She talked through everything she was doing, which is super helpful since your eyes are closed the whole time. Still in the early healing stages on this one, but the finished result on the day of the tattoo was perfect.

Erica did a nice job with my eyebrows. I was initially scheduled with another microblading artist but called the studio and easily switched to a new date and time at the Vancouver office. I love that the studio is easy to reach over the phone and happy to answer all my questions. I researched all the studio’s artists on Instagram and loved Erica’s work. She finished up my brows very quickly and was kind, knowledgeable, and professional. She also replied to my Instagram DM when I had a last minute question the night before. Keep in mind the touch-up date you schedule during your first visit may be tough to reschedule depending on your artist’s schedule. Erica is very booked out and a week after my appointment, I realized I could not make it to my scheduled touch-up date. I’m on her waitlist and hopefully, I’ll get my touch-up within the 8 to 12 weeks window to avoid a touch up fee. Love my new eyebrows and hopefully will get my touch up to fill in some spots!

I had areola restoration done recently by Lina. There are no words to describe how I feel now that I have natural looking nipples again. Breast cancer takes so much from a woman, and you just want to look normal again. Lina is warm, knowledgeable, professional and made me feel whole again. When I first had my bi-lateral mastectomy almost 18 years ago, the only areola restoration was done at the plastic surgeon’s office using a single color. I had my tattoo artist create nipples for me and they were great but a few years ago I had to get breast reconstruction done again and they had to remove the tattoos. It was around the time of the pandemic so I wasn’t able to get my nipples tattoos so I’ve been without for 3 years. The joy I feel now that I’ve had the areola restoration is immeasurable. We both left feeling like a million bucks with our new flashy grins. And finally, my fourth visit was to see Angela for classic eyeliner. Once I had the eyelash enhancement for a while, I wanted to go bolder so I booked with Angela. She went through multiple shapes/guides on my eyes until I found the perfect one. Again, she was super nice and genuine as we chatted throughout the procedure. This studio is full of the sweetest people ever. It is very easy to be intimidated by the services, the expectations, the industry, etc. but every single person from the front desk to those performing the services make you feel valued and cared for and like you belong. Kourtney did an amazing job with my lips, I loved having a consultation to go over what I would like to achieve and showed her some pictures of colors I liked and she was able to help me get a better version of natural me. The pain is light due to the numbing. I love how it has healed to a natural color, people have noticed my lips look better, they just can't tell why. I saw Haley in 2019 for microblading. Before my appointment I spent SO much time filling in my eyebrows, trying to get them to match, and different serums to try and get them to grow back. It's 2022 and I'm STILL receiving compliments on how good my brows look and I have yet to get them touched up. My lips were pale and a little crooked. Bugged me for years!! I was using a lot of lip liner and long wear lipstick. Lip blushing helped with this. Thanks to Kourtenie! They look so much better and not even my co workers can tell I had this done. The day of people can tell you had some work done but a couple hours later, swelling goes down and you just look like you are wearing a tinted lip gloss. She is so kind, funny and made me feel so comfortable the entire appointment. I came in wanting a winged liner with some photos of the look I was going for. She listened to what I wanted and was meticulous with the pre-draw. She took the time to pre-draw two different options, one on each eye, and gave her thoughts on both options. She was so patient with me and took the time to ensure that it was EXACTLY what I wanted. The level of detail she has for her work is unlike any other artist you will meet. She ensured both eyes were symmetrical and that I was 100% happy with the pre-draw prior to tattooing. She numbed me throughout the entire tattooing appointment and made sure I was comfortable and not in any pain. The end result turned out even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Both eyes are symmetrical and my wings are so sharp. I have received so many compliments on my eyeliner tattoo. I am so happy with my results and am so thankful for Angela's work. I'm about to upload a bunch of pictures to take you on my face journey of what this experience is really like. I think that a lot of people get nervous about going through with this, which is totally justified, but it's probably holding you back from something you really want to do. Facial tattooing isn't the same as it was 5 or 10 years ago, and Studio Meraki is first class as far as I can tell. Yes there's some pain, especially when you're getting the center of your lips, or the corners of your eyes done, but you really get used to it. Just trust your artist, trust your face will look amazing after it looks a little weird healing, and lean into the experience. Vocalize what you want, and if you don't know what you want just let your artist do their thing. I do support this company and what they do. I love that I could wake up in the morning, roll out of bed, be all depressed, not do a thing with my hair or my face, and still look like a decent human being. It's definitely worth the $1600 or whatever I paid to have this for 3 years or more. Besides, all of the girls that work there are super nice and very skilled, and the studio's beautiful.

You know how you try as hard as you might, but eventually you look like a panda trying to fix it up? I will never, ever have to rock the panda look on the daily (only when I want to). I had my lips done with Lina and Camille the girl she was training. Immediately I noticed how clean the studio was and while waiting I saw them wipe down surfaces multiple times. It was also very pretty inside. Before anything happened she gave me step-by-step of what would happen through the appointment. I was very comfortable with Camille ( in training) And Lina approved of every step before anything got done. I brought in a lipstick that I liked along with some pictures and Lina was able to color match it perfectly. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and nice. The pain was minimal out of a scale 1 to 10 the worst was about a 3 and that was for a very short time.

I had my brows laminated and tinted and unfortunately, it felt overpriced ($125 plus tip) for what I got for two reasons. First, my eyebrows were tinted different colors. And second, they didn’t wax or thread my eyebrows to shape them, they use a face razor, so my brows became misshapen again in just days. Once the color evened out and I went to my regular lady for threading, they looked really amazing. I’m just bummed it took extra work, time, and money to get them to look like what I expected from the beginning.

The model part was great because the student is being watched and guided the whole time. I am naturally blond with uneven light eyebrows. I wish I could give Studio Meraki 6 stars! I had such an amazing experience getting my brows micro bladed recently. I had spent months doing research but always came back to them being the top of the list in terms of quality, consistency, and pricing. While the cost seemed a little higher than other studios, it *includes* the touchup which balanced out with other studios in the area. I opted to have Rachel do my brows because her work looked aligned to how I usually wore my brows. On the day of my first session I was nervous but Rachel's cool, calming personality put me at ease right away. By the end of the session I had some amazing brows and a clear understanding of how to care for them. Over the next two weeks I didn't experience very much flaking or dryness around my brows, which I appreciated. They actually looked pretty amazing leading up to my touchup appointment. If you follow their aftercare directions you have nothing to worry about, my brows healed beautifully! I had areas with no hair that she was able to shade in and make it look so natural. I did experience a little fading which she was able to correct on my touch up appointment. She recommended a little bit darker of a color and she was right on point! This experience was life changing, I was very insecure about my lack of eyebrows and am completely grateful to Chloe for helping me with that! I highly recommend this studio for microblading, especially Chloe 😊

Lina was absolutely incredible! She took all the time we needed to talk to me about my color, what shade is a good fit for me, and what was possible/what wasn't possible. She did not rush me or anything and gave me very very clear expectations for what the whole process would be like both during and after. Studio Meraki is phenomenal. I have suffered from alopecia for almost 20 years and really found there to be zero solution for it. As a former professional singer, my biggest source of insecurity on stage came from the peculiar growth pattern of the hair that I did have. When I stumbled upon Studio Meraki's IG, I saw an amazing service they provided called Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) where they simulate hair follicles via cosmetic tattoo. When i went in for the first session I was a bit nervous and the second I walked into the studio Justin and Chloe were so incredibly welcoming and kind. They took a rather sensitive/vulnerable situation and put me at ease almost instantaneously. Chloe is my SMP technician/artist and her work is simply amazing. I didn't know what to fully expect but even after the first session you could see DRASTIC changes in my hair line and side fade. It was so exciting to see the changes immediately in the mirror after. We are now 3 sessions in and I have 1 more session to look forward to add density, but i just wanted to share how grateful i was to the crew at Studio Meraki and especially Chloe who has changed my outlook and confidence more than she really knows. I found her on Instagram and decided to see her because she was top rate trained and had amazing before after and healed photos. I agree with all the other reviewers that state how wonderful Erica is at microblading. I have rather full brows, but they don't have much shape, and they have a couple sparse spots. I wanted to be able to wake up in the morning and have my eyebrows look great without any effort. She was very understanding and patient with me as I went in there pretty nervous. She thoroughly explained each step of the process which helped put my mind at ease. My brows look absolutely amazing and I am incredibly glad I did it. Her work exceeded my expectations! UPDATE 13DEC2019: This is my third round of microblading with Erica (5th time including touch-ups). There's a reason I keep going back - she is an expert in the field. Nihilism Is the Only Way

wow! i was so nervous about getting anything done to my eyebrows but after coming across their before/after pictures on Facebook i was immediately impressed. i looked at a few other studios but the website, location and staff is what convinced me. i had called on a day they were closed but Lina called me back right away and had me come in person to schedule. which i know she didn't have to do at all. (and customer service is a HUGE deal to me... don't understand why places are rude if they want your business). i made an appointment with Erica for microblading my brows and a appointment with Lina for my lips... yes... all for one day. it was a lot of work but it was/is worth it! I'm healing great and can't believe how good both my lips and brows look. Erica was very communicative throughout the entire procedure. i can tell she's a perfectionist (which is SOOOO important when you're doing something semi-permanent!) she didn't do anything without getting my approval first. Lina was really sweet and you can tell she loves what she does! (its so refreshing to see people truly care about their work!) I had my upper eyelids and crows feet plasma blasted by Michelle this last week Saturday. To say I am happy with the results would be a gross understatement! I am still in the healing process, on my 6th day of healing. The results thus far I feel are amazing! I have had very heavy hooded eyelids. The procedure has not only visibly tightened the creepiness of my upper eyelid. I believe it has lessened the fat pad underneath also. The lift to my eyelid is quite noticeable! I can not only see the difference but feel it! My eyes don't feel heavy anymore! My crows feet lines have all but disappeared when my face is resting. Lina did a really fantastic job with my lip tattooing. First of all, the website is very thorough about how to prepare for your visit and also for the aftercare. When I arrived, there was a delay because it was right at COVID-19 was starting to impact Oregon and staff took an extra long time completely disinfecting the room we were going to use. Incredibly clean. Lina spent a good amount of time helping me feel comfortable with all aspects of what we were doing - color, shape, cleanliness, preparing me for how it would feel, etc. Also I was very happy with the amount of numbing that was used to reduce the pain. In fact, it wasn’t really all that painful at all. Not what I was expecting. When it was over, my lips looked literally perfect. I couldn’t stop looking at them. BTW if you are trying to figure out what to expect, the videos online of other people’s experiences elsewhere are not helpful or representative of what you will experience. After I left, there wasn’t a time that my lips hurt any more than being badly chapped and I never looked funny from losing layers of skin. Those were my biggest worries and neither happened at all. You could easily go to work and have no one notice that you had anything done except that you will look noticeably better. I would wholeheartedly recommend Lina to any of my friends.

First off I LOVE my brows. I love that I don't have to take the time to do anything to them in the morning. They actually make me look like I have a face before putting any makeup on. Pure brow happiness! That being said I will admit that I was a little unsure about where Erica was going during the first appointment. It took a while to figure out the shape but let me tell you Erica is an artist and knows what she is doing. I believe she said to "just trust the process". I left there feeling great and loving my brows. She told me they would darken then lighten back up. I remembered her saying that and two days later I started freaking out because they were super dark like crazy clown dark. Panic set in but then a few days later the started to get a little lighter and I was loving them. By the time everything healed they looked soft and natural, ahh perfection! They did fade as she said they would just in time for my touch up appointment. I just had my touch up 4 days ago and am excited to see the final result. If you are thinking about having it done. It's worth it. Erica is your girl!

I’m an older lady that has, due to the times and styles of my era, over plucked my brows. Unfortunately I’ve ended up with very sparse brows that end way to short and I have to draw them in to compensate for that. But she kept insisting so after watching their videos on micro blading, in particularly with the technician Erica who specializes in older ladies, and seeing the great results I decided to go see Erica. Erica takes pictures, measures your facial structure and draws out perfect symmetrical brows to fit your facial structure. You pick how thick/big you want them and she takes it from there. I’m not gonna lie. IT HURT!!! But as they say “It hurts to be beautiful”. It took some time but the results were nothing short of AMAZING!!!! I absolutely LOVE them!!! They look so real you can’t tell what’s me and what’s not. Everyone notices and I get compliments wherever I go. Even the young girls stop me and tell me I have great brows and they love them! I’m a forever fan of Studio Meraki and especially Erica. Ladies, especially us “mature” ones, do it. Go see Erica. That’s her speciality. She’ll bring back that youthful look and help you regain your confidence.

Upon arrival the staff took a fantastic approach to COVID-19 using hand sanitizer, enforcing masks, clean environment , and providing me a tote bag to safely secure my personal items . My appointment started on time and was a smooth process. I asked for a natural look which was 110% delivered ! I appreciated that the artist explain to me what she was doing but didn’t feel the need to talk to me the whole time. Engaging in conversation can complicate things during such a procedure. I appreciated that she was focused on my eyebrows and explaining to me what she was doing to ease any sort of nerves. I Really appreciate the customer service I received. The price was a little bit higher than other places I’ve researched, but cheaper is not always better. I felt the price was worth it bc The procedure was on my face. I didn’t have much interaction with the staff besides Athena and Erica but they helped me feel at ease with the whole process because I was nervous about having an alteration done to my face even if it is semi-permanent. Athena went above and beyond from the first time I called to consult with them and even when I was starting to panic because it was taking longer for the fading process assuring me it would be okay. It was a little hard to get ahold of them over the phone but if you leave a VM they call back in a timely manner. The salon is super cute and clean so that was also a plus!

I have difficult natural eyebrows. They’re so blonde they’re practically see-through and I destroyed the shape in college from over plucking / waxing. Justin and Erica worked on my brows to get the shape I desired and NAILED the color. The hair strokes are perfect. The shape is a little different than I expected from the initial drawn on look, but I’ll take their advice and head back for shadowing (or I think she said shading?) and I think that will even it out. Overall, they’re great and I’m happy I can run errands on the weekends without having to mess with my brows. Throw on a little mascara and concealer and DONE. Such a relief!!!
