Everything was great, I'll be back but one thing the girls that do your hair or whoever, you need to give more of a time frame on how long you're going to be there I mean it was my 1st time so I understand, but just give us a time frame if it's gonna take a long time like several hours they need to let us know that's all everything else's wonderful. I recommend them 100%, I arrived just for a cut and to dye my gray hair and it was really so wonderful and beautiful! I came back to get some highlights, the only thing I recommend to anyone who wants to go to this wonderful place is to plan and be patient because they have to be there for a few hours as the girls are learning and the instructors have to come and check every step they do before they can continue. They have so many that going through them takes a long time. Love the 2 students who attended me Madison and Angela are the best! Thank you so much 😁

If you ask for an advanced student.. your chances of getting out faster are better. ha The price is great and if you have the patience you can get a deal on a good haircut and color bc the instructors will always fix what the students miss ;) Zack up front is the best to book apts with and Taylor the color specialist is The Best in town!

This place was farther away than other Cosmo schools near me but I liked the reviews and pictures so I set up an appointment. I came in for a cut and all- over color. It turned out really wonderful and beautiful but I was there for about 5 hours. The problem is the instructors have to come and check on every single step they students do before they can move on. They have so many it check on it takes sooo long. I loved the student and told her I’d be back but never did because I just can’t justify that kind of time.

I have been a student at the Academy of Hair Design since last October. Taking the plunge from a stay-at-home mom to full time cosmetology student was pretty scary. The Academy Of Hair Design has totally made this transition worth it! The instructors are incredible. They work hard to create an inviting and inclusive learning environment. They work hard to teach each skill until every student completely understands. They work hard to ensure they are turning out amazing stylists. The education I am receiving here is top notch and will carry me throughout my entire career as a stylist. I attended and graduated from the academy in 2009. Going to this school was one of the best decisions of my life! The knowledge that was shared with me will be treasured forever. I feel like the things i was taught prepared me for the real salon world and i always felt comfortable, even when i made mistakes. One of the things i loved the most is that all the work being done by students is supervised, so as a student, you will never be alone and nervous, and as a client, you can always rest assured that you will end up with a great result.

I had a scheduling problem due to work and the staff worked it out so I could have Cheyanne cut my hair on a day she doesn't usually take clients. It's about a 45 minute drive to get to the Academy. Well worth the drive. We'll be back!

Go here. The students are really well taught and have open communication with their teachers. So the teachers constantly double check the students and if a student feels iffy, they ask a teacher. It seems like a good environment to learn and you get a high quality hair color with a fraction of what it would be elsewhere. Some days you can do same-day appointments!

I book with Christine Reichert. I can’t even count how many hairstylists I have had over the years. I am extremely picky, hair is crucial. She is the first one who actually studied my head & hair growth tendencies to get the exact cut that fits me. I’d been trying “cookie cutter” cuts based off pictures but, for my hair, it just wasn’t what was best. In the past, I would take my hairstylists a picture and they’d try to duplicate. Christine took that picture and customized it according to ME! She repeated that with my color. I am in love and blown away at how meticulous and informed she is. I drove an hour and half to get my hair done by her....I’d even travel 4. Hands down natural talent and great personality.

It's so much cheaper to come here then any other place I've been too. Usually cost me 60-100 for other places here its 25. I've never gotten my hair done by the same person when I get it done but it doesn't matter cuz it always turns out to my liking. I hope next time they can do the same but idk cuz I'm going to ask them to do something that is not very american since I dont feel like traveling to korea for my uncle to redo my bangs I will try to explain but we shall see.

My entire experience from beginning to end was amazing. Everyone at AHD was super friendly and made me feel welcome. I got my hair done with Kaylee. She is extremely talented and it shows in her work. She took the time to consult ideas with me, about what I had in mind and then together, came up with a plan to start the process of lightening my hair and honestly, she is a GOD SEND ♥️ I have gotten many compliments on my hair, reiterating how wonderful of a job she did. I am so so so thankful that I found her and cannot wait to return for my next appointment. Taylor, Lyndsie, Kellie & Zach were phenomenal. I screwed up my hair doing it myself, and I walked in with the expectation of just getting my hair okay enough for me to be fine going out in public again. I had maybe 5 different shades and tones in my hair and didn’t think they could do much for me. They did that and more, exceeding any expectations I had. They were all kind, especially Sienna and Lauren who made me feel like I was sitting talking to a friend. The teachers helped but used it as a teaching method not just taking over, and Joe listened to me when cutting my hair and was honest. They gave me confidence I haven’t had in so long and I will be coming back again and again! I can’t thank everyone enough for the warm atmosphere and beautiful hair they gave me.
