Visited this tanning salon based on reviews I read and it did not disappoint. The whole place was nice and clean. Beds were sanitized and clean. The owner John and his staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. They helped me get my base tan so I didn't burn on vacation! My friend got a spray tan and it came out so nice! Next time I will be trying that also! Highly recommend this place.

I’ve been tanning at Totally Tan for over 20 years. John and Kim are the best. The prices are reasonable and there are more than enough options for every type and level of tanner from first timers to the more seasoned. What more can I say? This salon has stood the test of time for a reason.

I've went to Totally Tan for years now. The staff- especially John is always so nice and sociable. They always have great deals going on which is why I still choose to go there. The place is very clean and I have never had a problem with going there. I always get the lowest package because the price (college student) but in the future, I want to try the higher beds because they work much better and are great. Great place to tan!

I can not say enough good things about Totally Tan in Ramsey, NJ. John is a great owner. Kim is excellent. The beds are always clean and bulbs are always shining. This is not just the regular tanning salon around the corner. They are very friendly helpful and sociable. Highly recommend. I've been a customer for many years and wouldn't consider any place else.

I love this tanning salon because you always get greeted with a friendly smile from people who you know well. They are extremely helpful in finding exactly which bed is the best for your specific needs. I for one will not go anywhere else. I go for a great tan and nothing else. Best salon in Ramsey! It is always kept incredibly clean. The owner is always friendly and really knows what he's talking about. My first visit I was very clueless and he was so helpful. There's always a special going on for anyone on a budget, and the prices are reasonable even without specials!

I frequent Totally Tan when I am home during the winter from college. They have really great student discounts and the employees really listened to what I was looking for. The studio itself is small but well kept. The beds are visibly clean I just wish they offered towels instead of paper towels after you finish tanning. However, I would definitely returned I'd recommend anyone to check it out!

Totally Tan is the best salon in North Jersey. The owner is very helpful and kind enough to remember your name! I love that it is really a personal experience.Also all the sales associates are knowledgeable. Every time I tan, I use the bathroom mirror and wipe my make up off with their make up wipes - when I return to the front the bed is ready - I don't even need to make contact with the girl - she just knows when to start it! Their monthly deals are unbelievable and definitely the most cost effective in the area. I recommend trying Totally Tan - you will leave with a smile, and a glow!

I love coming into Totally Tan because of how clean it is and how approachable, personable, helpful and informative the staff is. The beds are very high quality for a very good price. Unlike most tanning salons, whoever is working at Totally Tan when you walk in is always familiar with the equipment and lotions, so you never have to worry about burning because they will always let you know when there are new bulbs as well as tell you the time and/or lotion you should use to get your desired tan.

Such a great tanning salon. The owner is so nice, friendly and knowledgeable about how to best achieve the "glow" you are looking for. Very Clean. Great Machines, they have some really nice new high pressure ones that get you dark FAST. Amazing selection of loations, and i love the teeth whitening twilight kit they have. Tanning while whitening your teeth? So Easy. Who wouldn't want to kill two birds with one stone. They always have great specials too. love totally tan!

Amazing service as well as very clean. They give great discounts for spray tans from time to time (I have gotten for weddings in the dead of winter and it comes out great and natural). My spray has never turned out orange and I have tried light, medium and dark. Would recommend and would go back

I come here to get spray tans every so often, usually for a special occasion or something. It's always a really pleasant, easy, and quick experience to tan here and their student specials are really awesome. I have fair skin and usually get the "light" spray tan and I always get compliments on how good it looks. Not once has anyone told me I look orange or too tan! Totally Tan is not the closest tanning salon to me but definitely worth the drive to come here.

Bought a Groupon to Totally Tan in Ramsey. Didn't expect much- but was pleasantly surprised!! Every time I went, there wasn't a long wait- maybe 5 minutes max. The girls at the front are extremely nice and helpful. I didn't have to explain the Groupon at all, they knew what to do and handled my account well. Not sure what else to critique on the place- the beds were always clean, the rooms were neat, and there were not missing bulbs in the machines like other places I've been. Overall, nice experience. An added bonus was that they are in a plaza, so there's always free parking in the lot! Thank you

THE greatest tanning salon...I have been coming here since they opened. John and his staff are professional and personal. The beds are of highest quality. There are so many packages that are offered there is bound to be one for everyone. Pre-vacation is a wonderful time to try out this great salon. Why burn?

Totally Tan is not the closest tanning salon to me however they have very reasonable prices, are not pushy, very pleasant employees work there, and they show they are appreciative of your business. All that is worth the trip for me! They run specials often which make it easier to tan when you want. I would not hesitate to recommend Totally Tan to anyone!

I bought a Groupon for two spray tans. It was Quick easy and effective for the wedding I went to. The people who work there are very nice too. The only thing I would add, is that you're supposed to wipe the bottoms of your feet within 20 minutes. It was a bit far from home and I wanted to shop in the area (not going directly home), so it would be nice to have wet wipes for your feet before you leave.

What a wonderful place to go when you need a little sunshine in your life! Never had a bad experience here. Their beds are clean, great selection of lotions, and sign up for their emails (they send you deals! Who doesn't want that?!). Such a staple in Ramsey!

Great beds, friendly service !!! Love the location next to everything you need and super convinient. Great tanning packages and specials ! (THEY DON'T HAVE MIRROR INSIDE THE ROOMS, and no one hands you a towel when you first walk in) but I'm spoiled and currently have three tanning memberships two of which are in Manhattan. So when I say they're great I have lots of experience to compare to. Totally tan has new beds, new lamps, very modern, great sound system, spacious rooms to get ready, extra fans, and personal care station where you can fix and clean yourself up before you go back to the real world. Prices and packages are posted for your convince and ample parking right there too !! Super way better tanning experience than I expected ! I am now a frequent curtomer ! On my first time there front desk person actually took time out to give me a tour of the place(which I didn't even ask for) to show all machines which was shocking because usually no one goes the extra mile, so that was very nice, they are great there. They don't hustle you into anything or try to upsell you, no snotty front desk girl with an attitude, just great amazing service with quality beds !! I've lived here for over 4 years and there's nothing around here anywhere in a 20 minute driving radius that's this great ! Absolutely love and recommend to everyone !!!

Totally Tan is the best tanning salon. Incredibly reasonable prices (especially if you are on the emailing list!), friendly staff, and CLEAN salon! Bulbs are changed frequently and tons of different services offered. Lotions, goggles, and other tanning accessories are sold. Love Totally Tan!!

I really enjoy tanning here, the beds I use are great and the staff is always polite. When I started tanning here I was beyond pale skinned. Totally Tan staff helped me gradually work up to full time in the beds to prevent burning. In the past I have been to places where the beds are sometimes weak or not cleaned and that has never been a problem here.

Went to totally tan for my First time tanning ever and i have to saw that its pretty relaxing. I was anxious to go and was skeptical with all the scary stories you hear. If your new to tanning i would recommend going to totally tan. Also they are the cheapest around with great specials.

Great local salon. They always have some type of online deal that really helps the budget. Very clean and friendly. Its a must 1st stop, if you are going to a tropical destination. A good tan base stops the vacation sunburn blues.

I do not tan often nor consistantly so I was pretty nervous my first time at Totally Tan. When I got there they throughly explained all the options available for me until I was confident with my decision. They were very helpful and wanted to make my experience great. They offer AMAZING student discounts perfect for a college student. They are very clean and seem to take their time when cleaning the beds which is a huge plus !

Master Sun is the machine to use if you want a dark, deep color! This machine has special built-in technology to suck the heat out of the bed while tanning, so you don't sweat nearly as much as in the lower beds. I have been a customer there for years and would highly recommend to others. Also very clean, well-maintained and they keep the bulbs replaced when appropriate!

The prices are affordable especially for single sessions! If you're just starting off with tanning this is a great place for you. Level 1 got me and all my friends tan for an event we had to go to in just 3 sessions. Love this place!

Great beds and reasonable prices. There was no air conditioning when I was there. It was overwhelmingly hot during the summer to the point where I felt faint each time I would go. Otherwise a good experience during the cooler months.
