Golden File Nails and Spa Downtown was so gracious, squeezing me in last minute after I had just flown into town. Making an appointment is absolutely the way to go since they are so busy; I just was worried with flight cancellations if I made an appointment and then couldn’t show. Shelly did an outstanding job on my gel pedicure. Took time to scrub all the travel dead skin off, massaged my feet and calves, and took good care to trim and care for my toenails. The complementary wine (white or red; simply but perfect to relax! I had the red and enjoyed) was a delightful surprise and added touch. Recommend making an appointment and stopping in!! They are wonderful.

My barber recommended this place to me during my last cut, after I made a comment about getting my nails done, and she was absolutely right. This place rocks. I unfortunately didn’t have time to do a design today, but their artistic abilities there are above and beyond. Today’s services included a spa pedicure and a gel manicure, and my tech really took her time making it absolutely perfect. I’ll never go anywhere else in the city. Thank you.

The service was phenomenal! The manager, Jefter, was so kind and patient with me. I had a regular pedi and gel mani. This was my first time doing a design and the staff were willing to experiment with my idea. You can tell Jefter is passionate about the work he does and is eager to help. They’ve got, by far, THE BEST variety of cool options to pick from (magnetic visual effects, mood changing, metallic, matte, you name it!). I chose a design with mood changing gel polish that has glitter specks, you can see my different “moods” in the photos. Thank you so much! I will definitely be coming back again next time I’m in Nola.

I have been going to Golden FIle Nails and Spa as a regular customer since they opened in 2019. The owners, Jane and Niko are incredible! The salon is superbly decorated, and the service is top notch. This is not your average nail shop. Every time I go to Golden File I am welcomed like I am family. My nails always look amazing, and they always last. What I love most about this place is that Niko and Jane invest time and energy into developing all of their employees. They pride themselves on providing a superior service, and never rush their employees to just see as many clients as possible. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

been going to jane + her salon for almost two years based off a recommendation from a friend & have never looked back. jane always does an amazing job on my nails. when she isn’t available han is a great option. they both do such good work. and let's not forget toes! golden file is easily a one stop salon for me. the vibe is always welcoming and chill. i opt to get my pedi first then my refills because the pedi chair are sooo comfy.

I've been going to Golden File for 3 years and not once have I been disappointed. Jane's work is amazing - from the application to the designs!! Never have I been able to take a set of acrylics off and had my nails be just as strong. All it takes is just one visit, I promise you!!!!

I have been a long time client of Jane’s at Goldenfile. I get dip powder on my nails and every time I get a fresh set (every 3 weeks) I always get so many compliments on how amazing they look! I have also fallen asleep in the pedi chairs a time or two from the amazing foot rub and back massager 😂 When I first started going here I had tiny nubs as nails (habitual biter) and since then, my nails have grown out healthy under the dip powder. It’s been life changing for me to have been embarrassed of my hands for so long to now having people grabbing my hands to see what amazing art I have on my nails this time ❤️

I was traveling on business so was able to locate this business through google and read the exceptional comments on others experiences. Let me break it down on my experience: 1. ALWAYS book your appointment ahead of time as this place is busy yet they take their time with their clients. I’ve seen many people be turned away due to their volume of clients which is a good thing. Their website makes looking and booking appointments very easy. 2. As soon as you arrive you are greeted warmly with instructions on where to go, who will be taking care of you and even offered either Chardonnay, Red Sangria or an assortment of soft drinks or water. Of course I took the Red Sangria with bottomless refills. 3. I did their signature deluxe pedicure and let me tell you one thing. I’ve traveled the world and back and never had a foot and leg experience like that where over an hour is spent on massaging my very tired feet and legs. Worth every penny and my feet felt like silk on my soles. I even feel asleep so you know it must’ve been good. 4. I usually get a dip manicure so I had to get my old set dissolved and a new set placed which was also great. The salon have a plethora of great colors to choose from and I honestly enjoyed my day there after being in back to back meetings for 3 days straight since arriving to NOLA. Between everyone being very friendly and welcoming, the service being top tier and my nails/ feet came out phenomenal…this is an A++++++ establishment. Thank you!

I love Golden File! I got a full set of acrylics with gels and design here. The ladies are incredibly talented and recreated the design perfectly. My service was awesome. They have a huge wall of colors to choose from. The stations are pretty sanitary and well kept up. The guy at the front was super nice and offered us drinks. Overall I would definitely recommend and go back!

Needed a pedicure due to while running I messed up one of my toes. Walked in and was lucky enough to be taken. Had the sweetest friendly young lady from Vietnam take care of me. I like to talk and we had a great conversation about how she was studying to become a nurse. It reinforced how the US is still a great place of opportunity. Happy Belated Birthday!

Happened upon this salon while on the road trip escaping CA for FL. Had a break from driving for a couple of days in NOLA and found this salon on a walk not too far from the hotel. Stopped in without an appointment and they were able to take me right away, which I was advised is not typical. I got a basic pedicure & manicure. The pedicure was very relaxing and well done. The manicure blew me away. I honestly haven't had a manicure that good in I can't remember when! It was just a basic manicure but the polish lasted over a week without chipping! I was so impressed. I wished I would have had the time for a set of nails, though. Their nail art was the most beautiful I've seen since leaving CA! I had some serious nail envy! LOL The salon was modern, clean and the staff friendly and professional. Their prices weren't bad either. Make an appointment. Walk-ins are very difficult to get. HIGHLY recommend!

This place is booked and busy. Service is great if you have an appointment. I decided at the last minute to go in with a friend for a mani and pedi. They where able to accommodate me for one service. The pedicure was was pretty good but a little rushed due to my technician having an appointment. If you want the full service book an appointment. Also the place only have space to complete services. No space to wait on a friend who is getting more services then you.

Got a deluxe pedi, the pampering was cool. But she made me bleed on my toe and it's sore now. And the pedicure itself is mediocre. The toenails are misshapen and the coat is uneven. I honestly feel like I could have coached one of my subs to do a better job for me.

Their pedicure is the best I’ve ever had, such attentive and long massaging at even their basic pedi! I have been getting my nails done with them for a while now and they have maintained the health of my nails so that my length is all me!

5 star service (not a fancy place, but nice), no cleanliness concerns, acomodating, all staff was genuinely pleasant, especially the front desk/reception. All in my party recieved regular manis and pedis (no: gel, tips, dip, etc.). We all felt the prices were very reasonable.

Due to an incident with her Maid of Honor, my daughter had to call Golden File at the last minute for bridal party manicures and pedicures, and boy am I glad she chose this place. I'm extremely impressed at how the staff went above and beyond to make sure our nails and toes were perfect for the wedding. We were very well taken care of! It's been over two weeks since the wedding, and my manicure is still as beautiful as it was the day of. I live in Montgomery, Alabama, and I would drive the 5 hours to New Orleans just to let them do my nails again! Thank you so much for your part in making my daughter's wedding day perfect!

I've been Jane's client for almost three years. Every set she has done for me looks like a work of art on my hands, no matter if I need a full or not. I used to go every two weeks for a full but her work is top notch and you can't tell until four weeks I need a fill. I always get compliments. I've never had a nail break even in the midst of the pandemic when I had to wait seven weeks for them to get done. If you can't book Jane, the other girls in the shop do great work too! Seriously, come here. You won't regret it.
