OMG I wish I knew about this place when I lived in the cities! It will be my new tanning place when I DO move back. WAY cheaper than anywhere else!

I've been going to this tanning salon for a littlw over 6 months now and haven't ever had a negative experience. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. I love the option to schedule appointments online. The beds I go in (levels 5's) have always been very clean and I've never had any skin irritations or anything happen. In the past I have had skin problems from tanning beds because of the cleaner or possibly no cleaner so it was important to me that I go to a place now that I trust. Its been great so far! I love having my 12-15 minutes in the sun every week. 😊

$5 Tan in Shakopee is a fairly standard tanning salon. It’s always clean, has friendly staff, and I’ve never had a problem getting in. The salon space itself not overly luxurious or spa-like compared to some I’ve visited, but I have no complaints. I’ve been going here occasionally as a intermittent winter tanner for a couple years. I appreciate that the staff aren’t pushy or constantly trying to upsell you an expensive lotion or different tanning package.

Real nice people that work in Shakopee and they have great member deals a few times a year always nice and clean they just need speaker to listen to some music while you tan in the stand up booths 😉 …

I have gone to this location for years even before it was 5 dollar tan. They have a wide variety of tanning beds and spray tan. They also offer red light therapy and teeth whitening. They sell a huge line of tanning products. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. They are great answering any tanning questions.

I went in for the first time yesterday, and Nick was extremely helpful!! He mentioned that he was new, but you could never tell with his knowledgable answers and great customer service. I went in just to get questions answered but after talking with him, I knew this is where I wanted to go! Thanks again, Nick!

I really do like this salon, the girls are super friendly and knowledgable but every time I go in there I'm being pushed to buy something, I have a diamond membership so I already spend over $65 a month there, and I bought lotion when I signed up, I haven't even gone through my bottle yet and they keep pushing me to buy more "this one will help you get darker" "this one is good for your skin". I like the one I have and will buy more when I run out. Also I don't like the 24 hour limit. If I tan and night and want to come back in the morning because that's the only time that works for me I should be allowed to. I know all about exposure limits, I'm from Southern California I know how it works. So it frustrates me when I pay this much for a place and I can't go there because I have to wait 24 hours. But again like I said at the end of the day I really do like it here, just frustrates me a bit.

Amber Masloski and Aitana assisted me at this store. The customer service was excellent. The beds were clean. The discounts from liking the Facebook page and texting Tan5 to 89800 were awesome. I will definitely be coming back to this location.

Good pricing and great discounts if you become a VIP, as a first time tanner I wish the Assistant Manager would have been more helpful with her suggestions, or maybe listened better to my requests/concerns but I had done enough research to mostly know what to do/how long ect... I also been helped by the Manager as well and she's a peach, very friendly and helpful.

Staff is very knowledgeable and has a high amount of products available. Although it does get very busy throughout the day so go on off times like at night or really early in the morning.

Very clean. Staff is friendly. The only downside is the constant blaring of the country music. Change the station every now and then. Not every customer is a fan of this genre of music.
