I cannot express just how much this school has done for me. They have a very open mindset on looking at all different types of treatments ranging from very holistic to more medical. I appreciate that as I feel it has helped me and my classmates to feel more comfortable in looking at all of our options. As for the instructors, they have been the best. They are knowledgeable, patient, kind, understanding, loving, and so caring. They go beyond teachers and have become genuine friends. I would 100% recommend this school to all.

Truly the most amazing experience going to School of Botanical and Medical Aesthetics. I loved how the school is structured in a way that you can go at your own pace. The instructors are *chefs kiss* amazing! You could tell they are so passionate about what they do, and truly care about you and in you becoming the best you can be. I 10/10 recommend this school! I definitely recommend the School of Botanical & Medical Aesthetics. The school is flexible and works with your schedule, and was a wonderful experience. The administration staff are professional and work diligently to help answer any questions. The instructors have a variety of backgrounds and a wealth of knowledge, with such diversification, students get exposed to many sides of this career. They are supportive and push every student to succeed. Students are not seen as a number, but as individuals who they care about. Instructors go above and beyond to prepare students to enter the workforce, unlike other programs doing the bare minimum to pass the state boards. The advanced modalities are taught by the very best with years of experience and knowledge. This school equips their students with all the tools to thrive.

I recently just graduated from the aesthetics program and I highly suggest attending SBMA. The education and knowledge all of the instructors have is beyond amazing. All they want is for you to succeed! Each instructor comes with a different background and loads of information. The ability to create your own school schedule is also a wonderful benefit. I am so grateful I was able to be part of such an wonderful school. I sure miss seeing everyone in clinic. Cant wait to begin my career and all I have to say, thank you SBMA!

Choosing SBMA for school was one of the best decisions I've made. From enrolling to applying for graduation, the process was so easy. Staff is responsive which made learning that much easier. This program is a wonderful option for anyone who has a packed schedule and needs flexibility. Going to esthetician school was a complete career change for me, the teachers were so welcoming, full of energy and information. The clinic environment was so welcoming that it made learning not only fun, but easy. The teachers at this school are amazing, you can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do. I truly enjoyed my experience at SBMA, made some genuine friends and feel like I've set myself up for a really successful career. If you are hesitant at all about this school, don't be. They literally will not let you fail!

Overall I'm very happy and content with my experience at SBMA! The teachers are all very caring and helpful- Jenn and Kat especially are very enthusiastic, fun, and always excited to help and answer questions. The office staff are also very timely and helpful in answering emails and questions. The school gives you all the tools to succeed in state boards, unlike other schools. The one thing I've had a problem with (that isn't a fault to the teachers), is that I wasn't made fully aware that the advanced classes will take about 3-4 months to complete after graduation and licensure; Since there is only one advanced class a month and you have to attend in person. This wouldn't matter as much if you live in the area permanently, but I was only in Denver for school and it affected my timeline to move back home. If I had known there would only be one class a month, I would have taken that time into consideration for how long the whole program would take me, not just the 600 hours. I rate my whole experience a 9/10!

I recently graduated from this schools esthetics program and had the most amazing experience. They are doing everything right at this school. It is self paced, the instructors are so knowledgeable and helpful, and they really make it such a fun and comfortable experience. I have been kinda sad now that I'm graduated because I miss my schoolmates and teachers so much. A little pricey but well worth it because advanced modality certifications for alumni are included in tuition and if you pay in full you get a 10% discount on tuition. SBMA is the best esthetics program in Denver hands down.

SBMA was the best choice I could have possibly made for my education and step one of my professional career. I was lucky that I had a couple friends go to this school so I had inside knowledge of what school life looked like here; but if you are on the fence of a few schools or more I cannot recommend SBMA enough. The wide variety of programs they provide can pretty much fit around any lifestyle you may have. They have immersion/hybrid programs, weekend programs, mornings, or evenings- you name it! It worked tremendously with my schedule since I live 4 hours away in the mountains and I managed to make it through the program in 6 months. The online classrooms make it easy to log in from anywhere. I was so nervous to attend clinic for the first time, but let me tell you IT IS SO MUCH FUN. The tour and introduction to clinic really took my nerves away . There are also opportunities to dabble in each area of esthetics which made me learn I actually like so many other areas esthetics and want to pursue in my professional life. The teachers and staff elevate the school experience entirely. They truly care about your performance, experience and they are tailoring the experience to benefit the students in any way they can. They focus enough on passing state boards where you feel confident passing and having the tools necessary to pass, but it also isn't *just* about state boards. They want you to be successful in life after boards, too. Trust me. You won't regret making the decision to go to this school. There is a waitlist for a reason :) Send it!

My experience at SBMA was amazing! We learned so much regarding ingredients, different product lines, and different services we could provide in the scope of an esthetician. All of the teachers are amazing and have so much knowledge in their different specialties. I did so much research on all the different esthetician schools around me and this was by far the best school I could’ve gone to! They definitely help you to succeed in everything that you could use your license for and will continue to help you even after you graduate from school. If you are thinking about going to esthetician school I 10/10 recommend this school to anyone hoping to learn everything about being an esthetician!

If you are considering a career as an Esthetician, go to this school! After months of research I found SBMA offered the best training with the most flexibility. I was taught by fantastic instructors, and felt supported and heard every day. I was extremely prepared for the state board exams, and am currently a practicing Licensed Esthetician. Also, they include advanced training (for once you are licensed) in the tuition! I am also now certified in Chemical Peels, Microneedling, Dermaplaning, and Microdermabrasion, all thanks to SBMA!

So glad I attended SBMA for my education! I am a 48 year old full time massage practice owner, licensed MT since 2005. I needed their 5 week Immersion program to be able to easily earn my esthetician’s license. Every instructor working there is a leader in their subject and so very helpful. Their clinic was recently relocated to a much larger and impressive space. If you are shopping around, and want a school that will see you as a unique individual, make an appointment to tour SBMA. Also, make an appointment to receive a facial service on their Mind Body portal and feel the difference.

I have loved getting my education with SBMA! The instructors have so much to offer and their curriculum is so well rounded. Not to mention that clinic is a blast. In clinic you work with other students so you can stumble around and gain your confidence and pick up tips from what other students have learned! It's perfect. Then if you are ready to work with the public, you can go through an internship to gain even more experience. I couldn't have asked for anything more as I am preparing for my new career :)

I am so happy I decided to go to SBMA for my Esthetician education. I can't say enough good things about the staff. The admin team is responsive and helpful and genuinely excited for your journey there. The teachers are knowledgeable, understanding and personable. The products they use are high quality. You will learn an array of services from facials, waxing, advanced modalities, body treatments, facial machines and additional certifications upon receiving your license are included in the cost. They set you up for success to be able to pass your state boards and join the work force immediately after graduation. It was the perfect program for me as a working mom to be able to work at my own pace and schedule myself in clinic at times that worked for me and earn hours at home and thru an internship. I can't wait to return to earn my certifications and cannot recommend this school enough!

I absolutely loved going to school here. Every single employee whether it is an instructor or someone in admin genuinely cares for the students. Any issue I had they were right there to help. The teachers love every one of us and are sad but proud to see us graduate. I have never enjoyed school but this time I did. I had a great experience at SBMA! After Covid they were able to still structure classes through zoom, clinic and what I really loved was the opportunity to do an internship. I loved learning from a few experienced estheticians!! I enjoyed my time at SBMA, the teachers are great, the admin is super responsive and whenever I had a question in class I could email my instructor and within no time I’d get an email response back!

I've never experienced school the way SBMA operates. Every single people who works there (teachers, staff, admin) are supportive, kind, smart, helpful, funny, etc. The mixture of hands on learning with zoom learning was a perfect fit for me. The biggest reason I chose this school over the others is because of how flexible this program is. You can work full time, part time, have children, go away for trips, take mental breaks, and still graduate. YOU get to design how you want your program to look. If you want to be an esthetician, look no further! This is the place for you!!

They will set you up for success! State licensing testing will be a breeze. This program is also super flexible. You can take the classes and complete your hours how you want and when you want. This is a No Pressure, Friendly, and Highly Rated Esthetics, Massage, and Herbalism school. You won't regret it!

Hands down the best esthetics school in Colorado. I have had the most wonderful experience at this school the past 4 months, and I will say the curriculum is unlike any other beauty school. I attended cosmetology school 10 years ago and felt like I was only prepared to pass the state boards. I feel beyond prepared going out into the work force without needing an internship and feeling so confident in my abilities heading into the workforce. Most of the instructors genuinely want you to learn and succeed and they push you out of your comfort zone to help you get there. The teachers are phenomenal and really take the time and care to teach each student techniques to be the best esthetician they can be. I don't even know of where to start? This school has changed my life. At 50 years old I decided to leave the corporate world and reinvent myself. I have never felt more loved, encouraged and supported while learning new skills in my whole life. This school is amazing! I started the Aesthetics program amidst the pandemic. Within days, the administration and instructors had to completely revamp their entire program to keep us all safe, engaged, and supported. It was incredible how SBMA developed a complete online curriculum on the fly and pushed forward. We were able to safely perform in clinic with other students to get practical experience and connect face to face while being masked of course. I sincerely can't recommend this program enough. State of the art facilities, top of their craft instructors, an owner who loves her students and staff and administrators that are incredible at what they do. You will never regret the experience at SBMA!!

As soon as I walked in the building I knew I was in the right place (and I had researched a couple other local programs) and felt that way until graduation. I absolutely loved going to school here! All of the teachers worked very hard to give us an amazing learning experience during the pandemic. Considering all of my classes were via zoom and we were not able to work with the public during our clinic hours, I graduated with full confidence in everything we learned. I felt extremely prepared for my board exams and passed both the practical and the written portion on the first try with no problem. I never felt uncomfortable asking questions or just chatting with the instructors. So happy to be licensed thanks to these amazing people!

What a wonderful experience I had at SBMA! Everything from the campus to the instructors were so amazing. What I love most about SBMA is how flexible they are with your school schedule. I was able to work and finish my clinics at my own pace and was also able to complete an internship at a medspa! The students were all so kind and supportive and I have made great friends after attending the program. SBMA did a great job at preparing me for my practical state board and I passed both tests! I loved going to school at SBMA so much that I didn’t want to graduate. The entire staff at DIMS and SBMA are supportive, kind and enthusiastic. If you’re worried about not fitting in, like I was, I don’t think it’s possible. It was a good reminder that you can find your space anywhere, but the culture of this school makes it a very welcoming and encouraging space. I am a recent graduate student from the 600 hour Aesthetics Program and I've had an amazing experience here!! I started school at the beginning of April and did the immersion program. It took 5 weeks to complete the 200 hour class and my peers and I became so close. My main instructors were Martin and Belinda. They're so knowledgeable in this industry and you can really see through their passion. The rest was obtaining 400 clinical hours. The school is growing so much that they even expanded the aesthetics clinic to a new location that is about 15-20 minutes away from the Denver location. With the new spacious clinic, there's so much more space and it feels very welcoming. As a student I was able to create my own schedule that best worked for me. It was really flexible that I was able to work at my other job and go to clinic full time. You can even do full day shifts, morning and evening shifts as well. By mid November I completed all my hours!! I was excited to start my next journey, but it was soo bittersweet leaving. I met so many more students that were in the program at different times and it really became an place where it felt like family. The instructors there really provide guidance and everybody was always willing to step in and help! I didn't have Jen as an instructor, but she was always supervising clinic. Jen is probably one of the sweetest and most passionate people I have ever met! She really began to grow on me. At times when I was nervous to perform a service, she really encouraged me that I can do it. I'm so grateful for her and everyone there and I miss them all so so much. The school really prepares you for the practical portion of the exam! I passed the written and practical tests in December and while most of the studying happens at home, I felt really prepared and it's still so surreal that I'm now a Licensed Esthetician in Colorado. Overall my experience here has been incredibly amazing. It's a very supportive and safe environment and the amount of love I received is something I'll always be thankful for. Thank you for all the memories, friendships and making my dreams become a reality!! :)

Update: I've graduated and I'm licensed. This school is statistically one of the top schools in the state, and in the country. I couldn't recommend it more. After hearing horror stories of experiences at other schools, it was critical I find a school worth investing in. I found a top school at Denver Esthetician School of Botanical & Medical Aesthetics. I found exactly what I was looking for, a balanced love between holistic and medical aesthetics. The instructors come from varied backgrounds, are knowledgeable, and uniquely suited for teaching their particular modules. It's well worth the commute I make from the Fort Collins area to Denver. I feel well prepared not only to practice aesthetics safely, but confident in what I've learned from some of the best professionals in Colorado. I love learning, I love being a student again. If you're willing to put in the work, it's absolutely worth the investment in your time and money.

I start out by saying I moved to Colorado from California specifically for this school, thats how amazing it is. I was apart of the esthetics program, I was a little nervous to start school in the middle of a pandemic but they took all of the safety precautions they could to keep everyone safe and stay open. I was able to complete a good amount of my hours online as well in micro clinic. I love their holistic and healing approach to everything. The teachers truly care about their students and want to see them succeed. I learned so much from my instructors specifically Nicole, Michelle and Jen. All of the instructors come from different esthetic backgrounds and are very knowledgeable and helpful. This school is the best esti school out there. Students and instructors were so kind and always willing to help and answer questions. I learned and feel very confident in performing the many different services including advanced exfoliations I learned. They did a really good job preparing me for my state board exam, I took it yesterday and passed! If you pay cash/card tuition in full they give you a discount which was nice. I finished the program in 2 1/2 months because of all of the online work they allow you to do. If you're looking for an esthetician school this is it!

I toured, meet with admin, sat in on a class, and had a student treatment at 3 different Colorado esthetics schools before choosing SBMA. I enrolled in the Immersion program, that front loads the 200 hours of theory. Classes started early April. I had no idea how it would all play out amidst a pandemic, yet I still met my goal of being licensed in October. Being the first post Covid program, I was very impressed how the school pivoted without skipping a beat, and they have only improved with online content. The instructors are all amazing. They are very professional, yet also your friend. Hillary, the owner, is personally involved on a day to day basis. The admin ladies are to melt over with how sweet and helpful they are. In clinic, I did over 300 hours, and also did an internship. I am happy to say, I made some life-long friendships. I felt well prepared for my practical and written exams. For the last (4) four months I have been studying to become a Medical Aesthetician. Where, at the School of Botanical and Medical Aesthetics (DIMS/SBMA in Denver, Colo.). To be a student again, that is me! Today, as I am nearing the end of my schooling and beginning my prep for the State Board exams, I want to share, a review of my experience as a student (who has already obtained other degrees). I will state it simply- I got what I came for, a solid education. The workload is rigorous, thorough, extensive covering a broad academia of information, yet detailed and complete; textbook/workbook, class lectures, in person hands-on student clinic, ASCP webinars, product knowledge, etc. Available is a flexible Aesthetics program entailing a schedule in total of 600 hours, a combination of class lectures and hands-on training- learning an extensive array of services; Detox Body Ritual, Back-tial, Reflexology, HFM, Facials (Natural/Medical), Facial Massage, Brow/Lash Tinting, Brow Laminating, Lash Lifting, Waxing (soft/hard, Sugar-optional), Aromotherapy, Makeup, Anatomy, Physiology, Skin Analysis, Nutrition. My license (post obtaining the initial Esthetician license), will also include: certification in Microdermabrasion, Dermaplaning and Chemical Peels. Yes! This is all included in your initial tuition, how can you fail- you can not! Time is never wasted, no lesson/instruction denied, no opportunity too small, but instead teaching was collectively expanded upon and the learning/understanding is encompassed with the goal of mastering specific and numerous skills, first introduced and then solidified. It is awesome! The training does not cease, the material does not allow for shortcuts, excuses... nor did my instructors allow me to wallow in confusion or frustration but instead continued to encourage me to persevere, practice, ask questions and continue to try again. No challenge was ever too great, I (instead) operated receiving and maintaining a mindset of encouragement, with the ultimate goal of reaching my full potential with an ongoing goal of mastery, an attitude of accomplishment and success. It is understood, you get back what you invest, your return is a mirror of your efforts, you reap what you sow. But here the opportunity presented itself, allowing for my desire and energy to be received and returned in the form of a positive and continuing process, allowing for me to meet and obtain my goals and objectives. I have heard from other students seeking to obtain their Esthetics education (at other schools), an unfortunate denial of necessary support, and the lacking of quality in education. There is an absence of sufficient Staff, a genuine commitment to their well being, training and their overall learning experience. IF you want to learn, be truly educated, be schooled by highly educated and experienced teachers, prepared and have the opportunity to embrace and begin a successful future in the field as an Esthetician, then you will want to enroll at SBMA. Sincerely, seek to flourish, only position yourself in a school of authenticity, embracing a future and rewarding career with endless growth and tremendous opportunity. I did the immersion program and then leisurely did my clinic hours and exams and was still licensed in less than a year! I honestly don't know where to begin to describe my extraordinary and unique experience with the Denver Integrative Massage School. I enrolled in their Medical and Botanical Aesthetics program from May 2016-October 2016. They offer a variety of schedules to accommodate a variety of working individuals which is amazing. The idea behind combining both aspects from the medical and natural world of esthetics was especially appealing to me, and on top of offering certification in chemical peels, microdermabrasion and dermaplaning, that just topped it off. I truly appreciated the mix of instructors whom all are extremely knowledgeable, and from different backgrounds, leading to each having something different to offer and enrich the already extensive curriculum. The two product lines that are used are both really great lines that anyone could benefit from using which makes student/client services an even more memorable experience. The overall space and vibe of the school is very welcoming and nurturing. It is very well maintained, vibrant and they usually have an essential oil diffuser going to create a calming environment. The administrative staff is very informative, supportive, accessible and a pleasure to communicate with. The school director, Hillary is very involved and an overall huge advocate for making sure every single student succeeds in their goals. The tuition for the aesthetics program I felt was quite reasonable. If there were to be anything I would wish could have been slightly different, it would have been having just a bit smaller class size, although every single one of the 20 something girls in my class were all amazing people and I am so lucky to have met them all. This experience was without a doubt my favorite part of living in Denver for the year I was there.

I can’t rave enough about this school.. To be honest I chose this school because of the weekend program, and I got so lucky! It really is an amazing curriculum. Jennifer was my main instructor and she sooooooooooooo amazing. She shared many personal stories that gave me an idea of what to expect in this field. I know if I’m every stuck or have a question she is my go-to. Thanks Jenn ❤️Martin taught me his way of facials and facial massage. Gave me some great tips along the way. One day I hope to be as good as him! I didn’t get Belinda as an instructor but just working with her in clinic and being a teacher assistant , I’ve learned so much. She shares so much knowledge in the small amount of time I spend with her. That’s the beauty of it, having different instructors and picking up all different techniques. Former SBMA student here- First off, I just want to say that this school, truly, changed my life. I first started attending when my daughter was only 10 months old, but because of their class schedules, I was not only able to spend more than enough time with my daughter (without having to worry about childcare), but I also finished my whole program in 10 months. Not only were the instructors incredible, but I really felt prepared to go out into the “real world” with my new knowledge of skin care. It was instructors like Jennifer (who I had during most of the duration at the school) that made me feel confident in myself. When I started to feel like I couldn’t do something, she would always whisper “you’ve got this!” in my ear. Any question I had, Jennifer had the answer. I don’t think I could have done it without her support and knowledge. She really made this experience a happy one that I will get take with me everywhere I go. My only wish is that this school would bring on lasers some time in the future. I think it would be an incredible add-on course. I initally chose this school because it was the only one I could find with a true weekend only schedule. I'm so glad I did!!! This school is amazing! The curriculum manages to blend medical esthetics and botanical esthetics seamlessly! The added certifications that that you normally pay for are also included (microderm, dermaplaning, chem peels). And the instructors are even better than the curriculum. They're all either currently practicing or have recently left the practicing world to teach. No instructors teaching things for 20 years ago and the staff is varied in their specialties. One instructor has his own skincare line and is a botanical guru, another teacher comes from the world of medical lasers and they're all amazing. They teach because they love it and it shows. In addition to the classroom experience the hands on experience is equally as special. Every school clinic I've been to felt like just that...a school clinic. DIMS is different - it really feels like a spa whether your just learning how to perform services or working during the open clinic days. The only part I haven't mentioned yet is Hillary and the rest of the office staff. They are just as amazing as everyone else. You can tell immediately that this isn't just a business for Hillary - this is her baby. They go above any beyond to make sure that every student gets the best possible education while working independently with student to accommodate any personal conflicts or interests. I drive and hour each way to school - there were 3 other schools within 15 minutes of my house and you couldn't pay me to switch. Also- if your looking for reasonably priced services in a welcoming spa atmosphere check out their clinic services open to the public!!! -Ashley

I was a student here and enrolled in the May Morning Program in 2018. I learned so much from the instructors, and had lots of hands-on practice in our student clinic. I felt prepared and well educated to conquer the world as a new esthetician. The best place for self care, they use a variety of products and one of my most favorites is George Martin's Skin Care line BlOOM, if you like locally made highly intentional products. I had a backial and my student Danielle couldn't have done a better job at just what I needed which was to RELAX! It's an art creating relaxation, not as easy as it sounds. The right mix of long strokes and a great head massage. They serve wine in August, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Also the instructors love their job and it shows in their attention to the clients and students. The instructor asked if the steam felt ok on my back and gently reminded the student to check in. IT felt AMAZING. Can I keep going.... Yes on Tuesday next week :)

Oh my god, where do I start? Both as a graduate and now client of this school, I recommend it to a lot of my friends and even some of my clients. Martin is a wonderful teacher and a delight to talk with about skin products or your life. I love his line available at the school and use one of his toners daily. Emily is a sweetheart and makes sure that everyone is comfortable whether you're receiving or giving the service. I use Sanitas daily and can't wait to get my cbd facial as they're now offering Color Up Therapeutics. I already use this line for two of my dogs, and I need to try it on myself. Parking is very limited so plan ahead!

I have been going to Denver esthetician school for years, my last session was just as incredible as my first! I went in for a waxing and I had such a great experience. The esthetician that worked on me was so professional. As soon as I got there I was taken in for my appointment. I’ve been receiving facials, peels, dermaplaning, body treatments, waxing, & microdermabrasions at the School of Botanical & Medical Aesthetics (SBMA) for years; I LOVE this place!! The School has an amazing ambience (chill & relaxing), it’s very clean, Instructors are knowledgeable, AND Students are confident, kind and calm. I’ve had a wide variety of Students love and care my skin, some that are at the end of their schooling and some just starting out, and I’ve always felt the Students use care & caution, and if they don’t feel comfortable about a technique or don’t know something there’s ALWAYS an Instructor at hand to help them. All of the Students are very detailed, calm, and passionate about aesthetics. I’ve been getting facial treatments since I was 27, and every time it would cost me at least $200; however, now that I found SBMA, I’m able to afford more frequent visits without breaking the bank with prices ranging from $8 to $36. It’s a win-win-win situation because I get AWESOME skin, at a low $cost, and the StudentS gets added experience in a great environment. I always get people shocked by the fact that I’m 45 bc my skin looks so AMAZING, Thank you SBMA!!
