Had my first appointment on Monday before thanksgiving, the girl that did my hair was nice, easy to talk to. Unfortunately my hair didn’t turn out what I was hoping for, the instructor let me know I have 7 days to get it fixed at no charge. They squeezed me in on Friday and those girls got my hair a lot closer to what I was expecting. Everyone was great and there were no issues when I returned on Friday for the fix. Definitely will be Returning

I received the best haircut I've ever had at the Paul Mitchell School from Jasmine (phase II) yesterday. She knew the exact layering, rounding, and undercutting techniques I described to her. She finished my haircut quickly and efficiently, and was a fabulous host to talk to. High praise for this experience!

Great place to get a haircut on the cheap, just be sure to tip your stylist because they pay a lot to train there and deserve it. Got a perfect haircut from Anna along with a nice relaxing wash and conversation. Her instructor only made one tiny corrective snip, but otherwise flawless. Staff is very professional and friendly and they offer a very affordable membership plan for unlimited services that I am seriously considering but I will return for sure either way.

Best visit EVER! These amazing individuals who take care of our nails are trained by instructors who CARE about their clients well being, health and safety. That means these wonderful people who are gifting us with their vulnerability and talent in the learning process literally CARE about cleanliness, our skin and health of our hands and nails. I LOVE coming to Paul Mitchell to get my nails done, and have for years. I do for medical and skin reasons. We all literally do most everything with our hands. Does it mean my manicures will be perfect every time? No. But I tell you what: these people improve rapidly, and this last manicure I got with gel builder was the most beautiful, most natural set I have EVER had at the school. Reigan, thank you for an incredible French nail manicure. Paul Mitchell School, keep doing what you are doing. I remain loyal! ❤️

I got a great gal, Hannah and she was so friendly and did such a great job on my hair, double wash & good conditioner. Then we did soft curls as my hair will curl with product. My hair is still soft and no frizz at all. I had it done yesterday and have an appointment with her next week. I have a membership there. I love Paul Mitchell The School. I continue to have Hannah do my hair and she gave me a trim. It looks marvelous. Soon we’re going to do some high or low lights. I just need to get pics of my friend’s hair.

The instructor was amazing and offered a lot of great info to the student in a very kind and professional manner. I felt this student was not receptive to much of the information given. My haircut was average but even with explicit instructions to please leave more than normal length in the front she cut it alot shorter. I really felt she was very aloof and uninterested.

A few days back I had posted a very poor review after my experience at the school. Honest Feelings: it was terrible. My hair was brutally butchered in the name of haircut. I was very upset. The entire process took more than 3 hours and the end of it when the learning leader came in, she was very happy with the result. Honestly with the styling I felt it was ok only and I came back. Cut to few hours later when the styling wore off I could see how uneven the hair ends were and I could see nothing in the name of layers. I felt UGLY to say the least. The Good Part: Thanks to a friend (who is also a student there) who helped me voice my disappointment and Ashly (one of the learning leader) spoke to me and called me in today to give her a chance to fix it. She saw what an obnoxious job was done and fixed the entire thing. She was not only understanding but also patient with me. Her scissors and skill worked their charm and I gave her a big hug at the end of it: she helped me get my confidence back and did not charge any extra penny for it. My hair look beautiful and perfectly cut. Honestly they look so good now that when she said how do you want to get it styled; I said I don’t want to, it looks perfect as is. Thank you for fixing it and appreciate Ashly for handling it so professionally.

This is the best beauty school around! I have been to schools from Oregon to Idaho and the Boise Paul Mitchell is the best by a land slide! Friendly staff, students and teachers, very reasonable prices and they have always been accommodating to my day and time. I just had my color refreshed and a light trim and ''Disney'' did the best job so far and I have been going there for 5 years. She will be famous one day in California styling the hair of the rich and famous!

The woman who did my hair was super friendly and nice, only thing i wish was better was the representation of ethnic hair and maybe more teaching about it. after she dyed my hair the styling was terrible, not because of her lack of effort(she asked lots of question to try and get it right) but she did not know how to properly style curly hair and completely frizzed it out and made my curls look non-existent. representation matters!!! i would still go again but please ask them before they do your hair if they know anything about your hair type.

Laura was amazing. She gives the best and detailed haircuts. If you're looking for a great place that is professional and caring, as well as affordable, I would recommend to come here. You can get a haircut that would cost you over $100, for $12. Great staff. Customer service is awesome. Everyone is so nice. I would highly recommend to check them out. I really like Laura too, because if she doesn't know how to do something specific, she will ask the instructor, and then the instructor (who is also amazing!) teaches her new techniques and reasoning behind doing something a certain way. I spent 2 hours on my haircut, however I learned a lot about my hair too! Well worth it for me. Great place. My hair looks fantastic!

Overall I’m happy with my hair but I was there from 1 pm to 7:20 pm! My stylist was sweet. I was getting my grey covered and it took about 5 hours to apply color just to my roots. Then washed it out and had to blow dry the areas to be bleached for highlights. In my past hair experiences, at a salon, they put the foils in first and then the root color so it could all be rinsed at the same time. Anyway she Put the foils in and we waited. The instructor came by and told her to put more bleach in at the root. So opening each foil reapplied bleach. And we waited some more. Finally time to rinse. By this point it was getting time for closing and the instructor was ready to send me on my way but I said what about my cut? She said oh you were getting a cut? She said I will do the cut because we don’t have anymore time. Which was fine by me because I have very curly hair and was a little nervous about it. The instructor was Mandie, I believe, and she did an amazing job on my cut. Best layers I’ve ever had! I was a little upset with the price of $102.00 though as that’s what I pay at a salon. All in all it was a pretty good experience except the price and time. I feel like maybe the instructor should of stepped in and helped so I wasn’t there so long. And because it’s a school I was hoping for it to be not so expensive. I was a bit shocked when I got the bill. I did get a membership and get free haircuts. Can we request an instructor to cut it?

She's got great customer service and is very attentive. I would highly recommend going back to the school and having Karrah do your hair. Best cut and color ever!

I have been to this location twice and was very impressed with the hairdresser, Taylor B. The first time I went in she did such a wonderful job that I rebooked with her for a month later, and the second time she did an even better job. I love my hair and have gotten tons of compliments on it. I have another appointment next month and plan on using her as my hairdresser for the future. Besides that, the school looks like a fun atmosphere and people seem to like what they do. It's a great haircut at a really great price.

I received a follow up phone call a week later and was confused by the message left so I went into the Paul Mitchell hair collage of Boise and they gave me a free hair condition with my next service in November and apologized for my trouble to coming in today. After cutting my own hair for 12 years I was invited by my friend Sierra Vanderlaan to come to get a free haircut as one of her male models. With it being free at the time, I felt I'd at least try it out and support my friend. I enjoyed it so much that now I am a loyal customer (almost a year now) and the amount you pay is more than worth it! While I was upgrading my clothing, Sierra upgraded my hair to be worthy of a celebrity and helped me look great for interviews, dates, or just work and daily life. I really took notice that the instructors are great at helping whenever the students have any questions or if they encounter anything new and help them learn and experience how to handle the differences they may encounter. I've even learned a few things just going regularly and even with my busy schedule. Plus, I was able to get an appointment when I needed it. My husband and I initially went here because of the low prices. After we arrive and perused the menu of services, we discovered each client gets a complimentary scalp massage with their haircut. Not only did my kind hairstylist, Hannah, give me a scalp massage, but a 10-MINUTE scalp massage! It was WONDERFUL to say the least. Very relaxing. She used shampoo and conditioner for my hair type (i.e., curly), which was exciting because I got to try professional hair care products that I was interested in before I purchased them. In addition, she was meticulous and conscientious about my hair cut. At the end, I asked if I could have my hairbraided, and that I would be willing to pay the extra price, and she said I could have it AT NO CHARGE. Taylor J. gave me a Dutch braid, and it was beautiful! I had the most luxurious experience here at Paul Mitchell, and the price was incredibly low. Who can beat that? In addition, my husband went in for a full head shave. His hair stylist was very attentive and methodical about his head shave. His stylist was new and still did a fantastic job and used products on his head post-shave that smell lovely. I am a pleased wife. The school gives free haircuts to veterans! They do a good job and haircuts usually end up being thorough, but I have spent almost 2 hours for a hairwash and simple men's cut. It takes time because instructors teach the students on an as needed basis. They will go through the cut with a fine tooth comb (pun intended) to make sure it's done right though.

Autumn asked me about my hair and was very conscientious. I liked also that she knew I had a limited amount of time and stopped to see the time and if we were on track. She gave me a great style.
