I was able to get a next-day appointment. The technician that performed my manicure spent some of the appointment in conversation with his co-workers across the room. It is a small salon, and the background music wasn't yet turned for the day, so this crosstalk was not conducive to a relaxing experience. Although there were about a half-dozen other employees in the salon (in the back or preparing the workspaces), my technician answered two client phone calls during my appointment. The workspace I was seated at did not appear to have been wiped down, as evidenced by the particles/dirt I felt on the countertop as the technician worked on me--there was no towel or mat underneath my hands for the majority of the appointment. After the cuticle trimming portion of the appointment, the technician flicked my excess skin bits onto the floor! The $20 manicure was pretty quick--maybe 15-20 minutes. I asked if they offered a scrub or paraffin wax. I opted for the wax (an extra $10), and was glad I did--my hands got nice and soft! The plastic partition between had speckles/debris on it. My technician and another technician were careful to keep my hands under the dryer long enough. My nails and polish look really nice, but I don't think I will book another appointment at Ideal Beauty and Spa.

nothing bad i can say about this place. they were super welcoming from the phone call we booked the appointment to the moment we left the salon. they are so friendly and lighthearted and did exactly what we asked for. we were in and out of there in about an hour for 2 full sets. amazing. we will definitely be back!!

My nails came out so beautiful (gel x extensions) ! Didn’t get the woman’s name but she has light brown hair & sits at the first station. She paid such great attention to detail & had a gentle hand. Definitely coming here again. Also called ahead because you need an appointment due to covid. ❤️

Linda is the best. I’ve come here a lot and they are all really great but Linda went out her way to do my nails right before closing because my birthday was coming up and I of course was running late and trying to get everything done. She took her time and took special care of my little toes and they look amazing!

This place was ok for the price. My biggest issue was that the people would start to work on our pedicures but then leave to work on someone else’s, leaving us just sitting their half done. The utensils they used also did t seem to be properly cleaned between each guest. For example, the person used twisters that she just grabbed from a towel and dipped in a solution real quick. The price is cheap but with that know what you will be NOT getting.

I got acrylics full set which was 45$ and i picked two different colors. I really love how they turned out, the nails are super smooth and painted really nicely. The shape and length are all even and i think the price is really worth it. I would recommend calling ahead even though they accept walk ins because they are busy and can turn you away (which isn't bad at all)

I made an appointment for gel nails and Thai was able to do the design I wanted. It was $30 cheaper than my usual nail lady. They also got me in within a day. I also wanted a pedicure and they fit me in the day of after my manicure without an appointment. Very nice and it didn’t hurt at all. Definitely will be coming back again.

I tend to get anxious when I go to get services done because I can be picky (it’s an OCD trait) and I can get really self conscious about being OCD. They were extremely kind to me when I requested some touch ups and didn’t make me feel like a bothersome at all, which I find SO heartwarming considering we’re living in a pandemic and everyone is uptight right now. I would absolutely recommend anyone going, I love my mani and pedi and they did an exceptional job

I got a gel pedicure there shortly after I had my baby. They were friendly, not too talkative and showed genuine interest in my life when they asked about my pregnancy and my baby. The scrub was amazing and the leg massage included hot stones. I have had many pedicures and by far I had the best experience and best results from them! My gel polish lasted almost all summer! Highly recommend!

This was my first time here and everyone was very pleasant. Due to the language barrier, I didn’t quite get what I wanted, but my nails turned out nice anyway. Next time I will bring in my phone and find an example on Google to show exactly what I want. I also need to figure out how to ask for artificial gel nail tips instead of just gel polish. They were nice, though, and I will return.

I had the worst set of nails on I've ever had in my life I went into Ideal as a walk in and asked if they could soak them off and just start over. It took almost two hours for them to get them off. She put on a new full set, they are the thinnest nails I've ever had. I LOVE THEM. I will definitely be going back for my fills.

The man who did my manicure and pedicure was awesome! I'm giving it four stars because the foot and hand massage wasn't that great. It seem like he was rushing through it instead of taking his time. Also the massage chairs aren't up to par. Everything else was great.

I love IDEAL. They are always so professional and nice. I walked in at 629 and they closed at 700. They had the lights off and they were mopping but they were happy to take me, turned the lights back on, and they took their time on my pedicure. I never go anywhere else in Boise. The place is clean and nice looking and smells good. IDEAL is the best!

I stopped by this place on my way home from Repeat Boutique because I saw their Wednesday $20 gel manicure sign on the street. I was immediately blown away when I entered the space which was so modern and peaceful. A lot of nail salons feel hectic and thrown together--the owners at Ideal clearly take pride in their business and in their work. This is an awesome business for the Bench. 9.5/10 - will definitely come back. Plus they serve wine! Area for improvement: sometimes the time management isn't perfectly on point but I understand managing walk-ins and appointments can be difficult.
