So I'm cheap, cheap as hell it come from a different Era and cheaper times. With that said I don't call this a barbershop these are hair artists extremely detailed and knowledgeable about their work and their tools. I love paying the price because their work looks better than other shops. They have made basic cuts look custom and custom cuts, don't even get me started. The 5 star service is personality, I felt comfortable, the environment is beyond dope communication and atmosphere does not produce any awkward emotions.

This is the best collection of barbers in the Hampton-Norfolk area! Sit in any chair and you’ll walk out happy. The shop is great and the staff makes you feel like family. Now let me tell you about my girl, Des… I rolled into the shop looking for a new barber. She took her time to figure out my style. She got to work and absolutely killed it! I’ve been going back ever since, and my hair looks better than ever. The fade is on point, and the style is exactly what I wanted. I’d like to say that she is gifted, but that would under-sell her dedication to her craft. She works her tail off to make sure that her clients are happy. She has a great vibe and an incredible work ethic. Visiting the shop is always a pleasure. It’s been a long time since I had such a good experience at a barber shop. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed.

I travel a lot for work, and I've had some great haircuts over the years, but today's cut at VIP is easily in the top 3 BEST haircuts I've ever had. Might even be the best ever. I'm in town for work, and found myself, the day before meeting with professionals, badly needing a haircut. Not only was the ugly mop on my head cleaned up and corrected, but my man also trimmed up my beard and mustache. I didn't realize how good my facial hair was capable of looking. To say I am pleased with the results is an understatement. I will absolutely be coming back here the next time I'm in town.

While I've had some good haircuts from this place it has been from two barbers. One left and the other is typically hard to make an appointment with. Unfortunately each time I get a haircut from Nado his idea of cleaning up my hair and evening it out means snipping off a few strands of hair with scissors and calling it a day. Never has it ever looked clean but I don't bring it up because when I try to emphasize some detail he missed its suddenly just how my hair is. Paid 35 dollars for a mediocre haircut twice now and next time if I come back it won't be to him.

Not only are they good they also do free cuts for the homeless. I was in town for work and found VIP Barbershop on Google. Dre was my barber and I would highly recommend this barbershop! I got a low fade, beard trim and they have a spa that waxed my nose hairs (Don’t knock it until you try it). They respectfully greeted me at the door to check me in for my appointment. My haircut is one of the best I’ve had and I’m compel satisfied. These guys are professionals and the money I spent was well with it!

Carlos holds it all the way down at VIP lounge. I booked my first haircut with VIPL in the late summer and have been going back every three weeks ever since. You can’t beat the professionalism and the atmosphere. Great artists who take pride in making you look and feel your best. Highly recommended!

Great place! Classy look on the outside and inside. Barbers are gentlemen with a shake of your hand and ask your name. They really seem to enjoy their craft and it shows. Not too pricey either. Typically look to spend around $30 and you get what you pay for. As some of the reviews have stated don't be in a hurry. I've seen a cut take 10 mins but mine took almost an hour. Not complaining I had a mess of hair and they cleaned it up nicely. Not as crowded as other reviews suggest I guess it's just the time of day. Make an appointment tho if you don't want to wait. I had an apprentice barber cut my hair and he was getting some coaching through my cut which is not a bad thing I have no problem getting a haircut while the barber learns. The one thing about that would be to let me know before, it wouldn't have changed how I felt just there are some people who probably would. Plus it's just peace of mind. It looks I found a barbershop for me I will definitely be back.

Great barber shop! But this time around I got one of the younger barbers. He was great to talk to but was struggling with the blending, maybe the other seasoned barbers can help him with that. The nice guy spent almost two hours trying to get it right but it didn’t turn out that well and I didn’t wanted to mention it after him spending so much time on it.

Due to COVID-19, they limit walk-ins, but Dre saw me, offered a greeting, made nice conversation with me, and then proceeded to take his time with me and provide a nice, clean cut and even trim up my eyebrows! Excellent barber shop for anyone looking to find a new spot, and Dre is an excellent barber to get your haircut by!

Only came here once so far but I plan to make It my regular spot. Had my head straight razor shaved, and my beard trimmed by rob. Great experience and professional all the way. It’s the kind of hole in the wall barbershop that you wanna make your own. There’s parking on the side of the building and the space they have is inviting. They offer deals and discounts on certain days and although I saw them take a walk in customer I’d recommend that you make a reservation. Military is totally welcome here, definitely worth a look if you’re looking for a new spot.

5:50 pm on a Saturday afternoon, I decided to get a spur-of-the-moment haircut. I was turned away by a couple barber shops in the Virginia Beach/Chesapeake area as their availabilities for the afternoon were already filled up. I called VIP lounge after a quick google search and asked if I could do a walk-in, and to my surprise, John said he was free for one last appointment for the evening. As soon as I got there, I was kindly greeted by him and described to him the haircut I wanted, and so John got to working his craft. I am normally not picky of my haircuts; I usually leave it up to the barber's judgement, and I am so glad I did. First 5 minutes, I could tell John is easily one of the most experienced barbers I've gone to. Fastidious with his trimming, he carefully made sure I left satisfied. In addition to the haircut, John is a very affable person and super easy to talk to as we discussed a variety of topics from funk music to high school sports. In terms of price, I found it to be very reasonable as styled cuts nowadays are steadily increasing in price, but you get what you pay for. To sum things up, I will definitely be coming back to John for my next cut, but this time I'll be sure to schedule in advance as I probably won't be as lucky as last time for a late walk-in.

Stylist Salt originally from House of Hair did my makeup for the wedding last year! I came in for a trial and paid 50. I loved the makeup and colors plus my makeup wasn’t oily and I have very oily skin so that was a plus! I told her what I wanted to change and she made sure to note it on my wedding day. I’m going to be real here...I got one of those weird elephant man heads, but my dude has been cutting my hair for well over a decade now and its always done right. ALWAYS. My wife thinks it might be sorcery. John aka All-Stylez is truly an unheraled a master of his craft and a bonafide wizard with a pair of clippers and a straight-edge. Make no bones about it, the best hire the best. Bea is relatively new to the shop, but not to the profession nor to me. She's professional, friendly, wonderful with haircuts, and stellar with beards! My beard is 6" in length and pretty thick, so I don't trust many people for a trim, but she always surprises me with how good it looks. She's good enough that I've only had two other people cut my hair or trim my beard in almost four years and I regretted both times! Go with Bea and stick with her.
