Great barbershop and barbers. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. Watching the other barbers I can tell they're talented and have plenty of experience. A little more on the pricey side for a haircut but you get what you pay for so it's worth it to me.

I’ve been going to Lionshead Barbershop for 6 years now; I cant speak highly enough about this shop, it’s owners, their employees, the atmosphere, and ofcourse their A1 service! They’re efficient, priced very competitively, and deliver the cleanest fades you can find anywhere. I work in fashion and clothing design and I don’t go a week without getting a compliment on how clean my cut is, whether from a stranger or a friend who sees me all the time. Aaron is my go to because he hasn’t let me down yet and I love his consistency on his service and always within the appointed 30 minutes. Aaron does not stand alone either, all of his colleagues hold to the same delivery of service that he does. I’m telling you, them once and tell me you’re not impressed! I’m a forever customer for sure, for as long as I live in Hampton Roads!

I just got an excellent haircut here. First of all, they have a way to get in the waiting list from the website. You don't have to make an account and sign away your life, just put in your name and phone number. You can see where you are in the list from the link texted to you. Cool The haircut was professional and quick. These guys are real barbers. I really enjoyed it and it was not that expensive. I highly recommend Lionshead barbershop.

Great place to get any kind of cut you want. Lisa does fantastic work and has an amazing attention to detail. Definitely one of the finest barber shops I've had the pleasure of visiting. Whatever you want they can do it. Great vibe and atmosphere and you won't be disappointed. Update: Avery kicks a** too and should definitely give her a shot. So far these two have been magnificent Another update: Eric does phenomenal work. I have yet to have a bad cut from this place. Eric does great beard work and the pride he takes in his craft really shows. I'd wait all day to get a cut and beard trim from this place if I had to.

I took my brother here for his first cut by Aaron in a long time during the COVID pandemic. They made the process very easy. He has Aspergers (a form of autism) and the staff took care of him with kindness and professionalism. I definitely recommend this Barber shop.

Everyone here is quick, professional, and listens to what you want done. I've experienced multiple barbers here, and not one of them has ever rushed my haircut. I do recommend making an appointment as being a walk-in may take around 45 minutes to an hour. Always worth the drive to go here and I live 30 minutes away.

Took me a while to find a good barbershop but I found it! This shop is full of talented barbers. I've never seen anyone walk out with a bad haircut, just tight fades! The option to set up appointments is great, most shops are walk in and you'd end up waiting hours for the barber you wanted. Plus the fact that they take card! It was annoying having to get cash for some other shops. All the barbers are respectful and listen to give you exactly what you want as well as funny and friendly to make your time in the chair even more enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend this shop to anyone in the area looking to get a good haircut!

This review has been long overdue but is certainly warranted! I've been a patron of Lion's Head for well over two years now and have been to many barbershops throughout the country and world, and I can say without a doubt that this barbershop and it's barbers boldly stand out among the rest. Let me start with the shop itself. It's an extremely welcoming and relaxing establishment that creates a real down to earth and "hometown" barbershop feel to it. Where this barbershop and it's barbers excels is not simply through their expertise of serving up great cuts and fades, but also their involvement with the local community and making where we live a better place. Offering haircut services and assisting with accepting donations to help those in need is not only what sets them apart as a business, but also as genuine and caring people. I've had my haircut by a few of the different barbers in the shop, all of them phenomenal, but one barber in particular earned herself a devoted customer, and that is Avery. The quality of haircuts she has given me over the years have always gone above my expectations. When she shows me the fresh cut she just served up in the mirror I don't even look anymore, I trust her quality of work and know she wouldn't let me walk out of the shop looking like I got my haircut at the barbershop on base. Barbering skills aside, she is an extremely down to Earth person, easy to talk to, and a very understanding person. Me being the kind of guy who is typically running late to everything in life, the few occasions I was late to an appointment (oopsies) she was extremely understanding and accommodating, whereas other barbers I've had in the past were much less forgiving. Most importantly though, after a haircut from Avery I look good, and when you look good you feel good, and if you feel good you are good and I love myself even more with a fresh cut from her! If you've made it this far into my review then I'm confident you'll be visiting their page to get yourself an appointment here, cause if not then I'm sorry but you're missing out. Thank you Lion's Head for everything you guys do!

The best barbershop in the area. It doesn't matter who cuts your hair in the shop, every barber is exceptional. The artwork is fun to look at and they always have a cool movie or show playing. The staff is friendly, professional, and thorough. I highly recommend whether you live here or are just visiting.

I’ve been getting my haircut by Bryce (Lurch in the appointments section of their site) here for over 6 months. He’s always on time and ready to go when it’s time for my appointment. He listens to my concerns and helps me get the haircut I want. His cuts are quality and consistent which is important. Only downside is it’s a haul from me but that’s my problem, not theirs. I willingly drive 35 minutes one way to go to Lionshead for Bryce (Lurch). The atmosphere is great with some unique horror movie or documentary on the TV and plenty of cool stuff to look at on the walls. Give em a try. The appointment system on the site is simple and reliable.

Visited here 3 years ago at a friend's recommendation and haven't been anywhere else since. Have fallen in love with the experience, the quality, and the people in this down to earth barber shop that has deep respect for its craft. I'm a young professional, and even though this has more of a grunge/tattoo kinda vibe, I feel at home here, like all are welcome, and I always get incredible service. I'd recommend making an appointment before you go, both of the owners - Aaron & Big John - are your best bet for consistent and professional excellence, but even as a walk-in every barber will hook you up and make you look fresh. BOTTOM LINE: If I could give 10 stars, I would.

Everyone else I spoke to at the shop while waiting was great, very open and accommodating atmosphere and couldn’t recommend it enough. I've been going to Avery for almost a year now for haircuts and she kills it. She does the sickest mullets and overall outstanding job and I wouldn't trust anyone else with this lettuce. Lions head barbershop is a great place to get a haircut. The atmosphere is very fun and easy going but at the same time professional by all means. Bryce in particular cuts my hair and he does a great job. I’ve experimented with several styles and he has the skill set to accommodate a wide variety of hair cuts. 12/10 would recommend.

I followed Bryce/Lurch from his last place to Lionshead, he's the only barber I'll trust with my hair, and now both of my sons as well. I've never walked out of this place disappointed. We love this shop; the art, the music, and the people all create an awesome, inclusive atmosphere. The online reservations system makes life easy, and we recently took advantage of the Early Morning option to get cuts before the school day, which worked out great. We actually live about 30 min away from the Ocean View location, but it's worth the drive, no where in between can beat Lionshead.

Really great people that take pride in there work. It's best to use the website and schedule your appointment because sometimes the wait can be long. The two years I've been coming here there main clientele are men and boys, although I have seen a couple of women. All color races treated with respect. Never heard any off colored joking or profanity... kid safe barber. I have a long beard they keep looking good with an excellent line of beard products.

I moved to Virginia Beach 4 months ago and tried several other places closer to my house, but all have failed by comparison and I gladly will make the trek to Lion's Head. Great atmosphere and team. I've had my haircut by 4 different people there and haven't had a bad cut.

Barbers are a dime in a dozen nowadays. But if you want the comfort of getting a really well done cut, trim, fade, etc. in an establishment that doesn't feel like some corporate shop... don't go anywhere else. These guys take the time to do it right every time. I've tried about 6 barber shops before I found these guys here in Hampton roads. Now I won't go anywhere else. And their website!? Get out! So clean and clear, straight to the point, great presentation. No room for error. This place deserves 6 stars but google said I couldn't do that. And as everyone already knows, always tip your barber! And if you no call no show, you deserve a papercut at work today.

By far my favorite barber shop in Norfolk. Great service and great people who happen to be barber's. Their website allows you to make appointments online so you don't have to worry about going in and waiting for a barber. In case you need a haircut asap and no one has any appointment slots open they accept walk ins so no worries. On the pricey side but it's completely worth it.

So I was referred by a friend to check this place out..in particular the barber Andrew Kelly, I spot a Mohawk and I had let it go so it was over grown and rather to long on the top for my taste so I decided to give Lion's Head a try and let me tell you, It was well worth the 20 min drive out to see Andrew! I was in and out of his chair quick, he did a fantastic job...razor sharp clean edges from front to back, the top is now even and spike ready for putting into the full on Mohawk style! I will continue to go back to Lion's Head barbershop to see Andrew for my hair care needs. He's one bad A$$ barber!!

Lion’s Head is hands down the best barber in Hampton Roads. I tried a couple other places while I let my hair grow back out and no other place holds a candle to Lion’s Head. This was my second time coming in for a cut and beard trim and I decided to bring my father with for one too. Just like both other times I met the guys, they greeted us with upbeat attitudes. One of the biggest reasons that will keep me coming back is the fact that only after seeing me one time, Alex remembered who I was. To me, that says everything about someone's customer service skills and just overall personality. We only sat there for a few minutes before we were next. My dad was extremely impressed with the quality and quickness and welcoming environment. My dad and I will definitely be repeat customers for a long time.

Big John is my man, but the whole crew is great! The shop vibe and decor is classy and raw, reminds me of a tattoo shop but with Layrite instead of tattoo goo. They have homemade beard oils and products. And they are very connected to the local community.
