I'd worn locs for 36 years and my hair was weighing me down physically and otherwise. So, I was beyond ready for my locs to go. I was really concerned about the thinning I've experienced over the years, especially from traction alopecia caused by years of wearing my locs up in styles that caused tension on my scalp and hairline. I can hardly put into words how free and happy I feel as a result of the haircut I received today from Katrina. She is simply the best. It took me a while to find the barber/stylist that I felt I could trust. Katrina listened carefully to my concerns, made me feel completely comfortable, and quickly gained my confidence as she talked to me about my hair. Her confidence became my confidence as she assured me that we could accomplish the cut I desired. I couldn't be more pleased with the result and the overall service I received from the time I walked through the door. I've made a standing two week appointment with Katrina. Aaron (the other barber on duty) was finishing up a patron, who had a smile on his face when he got up from the chair. So, I would recommend considering him for your hair needs, too. Katrina is absolutely amazing!! I recommend her over anyone else! She performed wonders to my hair from fixing my lines to fading my side and trimming my split ends. She also saved my hair by giving me a clarifying and hydration treatment as well as recommending products and giving me tips for dealing with my hair. When I was finished I was so excited with my newly fixed hair that I accidentally gave her an extra 10$ she called me before I could even leave to let me know about my mistake! This is why I drive over an hour just for her! Thanks Katrina!

Faded consistently gives good haircuts and is consistently busy. I rarely go in and get seen at my appointment time, but the haircut is always good so it's worth the wait. Beware letting them near your beard though. I walked in today with my beard exactly how I liked it and walked out with an abomination I'm pretty sure I'm going to completely shave off. I'm not sure why he asked what I wanted done with the beard if he was just going to do his own thing anyway. To top it all off I got charged more than usual. There must be an added charge for beard butchery.

Tried this place for the first time. Had read great things about the place but was a bit disappointed with my overall experience. Customer service is something that is important no matter how successful you get. Unfortunately my experience lacked that. Edit: I came in on Tuesday morning. I was disappointed because my barber was on the phone the whole time my hair cut was going on (she did apologize, but I was disappointed that I wasn’t even consulted when trimming my side burns). My side burns were trimmed much thinner than I wanted.

EDIT: The owner of the shop contacted me and came in on her closed day (Sunday) to fix my hair. She did an amazing job and talked me through Solutions for the regrowth. - This was the worst experience I've ever had. I'd been here before and went to Kristen? I think thats her name, she's a woman and she did amazing. But I went yesterday to a man named Aaron and he butchered my hair. I've been growing my hair from a bald state for 2.5 years. I got an undercut from Kristen and it looked amazing. Well this man, all he had to do was follow her lines but instead he takes his razor and drags them up through my ponytail, shaves off one side of my baby hairs and gives me the worst fade I'd ever seen. I am a woman with long curly hair and now I am at a great clips so they can shave me bald once again. I would not recommend going here unless you're seeing the blonde lady. I wish I would have fought back and not paid. I'm literally traumatized.
